WILL YOU BE MY FRIEND?

Looking for a partner(s) in health. Any takers? I am 40, and have not done low-carb for about eight yrs. I have always known this is what I need to do to loose and keep off the weight. I loved having a buddy years ago, and would love to have one now. I live in Waukegan Illinois (one hour north of Chicago). Look forward to speaking to you soon!

Hi Kim - Are you still looking for a low-carb buddy?

Hi Kim, I'm up for being a low carb buddy. I'm not to far from you in Byron, Il. About and 90 minutes away if that. I started the low carb induction on Sept 23rd so I'm barely into it but certainly need back up support. I'm highly motivated so I can help you too! Let me know if you still need someone.

Practically neighbors!

If you guys in IL (and others too!) are interested, I would love to buddy up as well. I am about an hour south of Chicago in NW Indiana. This is my 2nd time around-- I lost almost 100 lbs between 2007-2008 and I have sadly managed to regain about half of it back. I started back up today and am just trying to take it 1 day at a time. I would love some added support as I am feeling somewhat discouraged this time around.

Hey neighbor! Yes I'd love to be buds! I live 90 minutes sw of Chicago and need to lose nealy 30 pounds. I had started a challenge with some of my facebook friends to see how much we could lose in 6 weeks. Tomorrow is the end of week 2 and so far I have lost 5 pounds in week 1 and I was doing good with 3 pounds so far this week BUT this morning I weighed in and gained a pound! So today I am working my butt off trying to lose 2.6 pounds by tomorrow! Not sure if it can be done but I am a determined woman! So lets do this thing friend! I am doing low carb Atkins induction. What are you doing? I also have been lifting weights and some Turbo Jam and some ab work on occasion. I work nights usually so I am on here all hours of the day. Do you have facebook? We could add each other there also if you'd like. Nice to have you along for the weight loss ride!

I gave up on the scales after I had lost my first 50 lbs. I learned the hard way that it was too easy for the scale to control my mood/ how good or bad my day would be. I just eat low carb now because I know it's good for my body. I feel mentally and physically happier when I'm lc-ing. Who cares what the scales say?! I know it's not easy for everyone, but it's working for me.

I've had a GREAT first week! I am drinking my water and eating real, whole, low carb foods again. I am proud of myself and feel better already. I don't know if I lost or gained a lb. or 2...but I finally feel like I'm doing something for ME!

I am doing Induction and walk 30 minutes a day. I am a school teacher so I work typical daytime hours. I don't use facebook or myspace...yet, it's def. on my to do list! I'm willing to exchange emails and/or text as another means to support one another.

I'm so excited to have much-needed support.
