What if?

What if I wanted someone to talk to on here, but I didn't want to disclose any personal info? I don't want people to know who I am and hunt me down or start stalking me and my family, you know? Does that sound weird or realistic?

Hi WhoeverUR,

I think we are all here giving little info. You don't have to give info. If a member asks "Where are you from?" you don't have to say. Even after many posts you never have to give any info. I hope all here will respect you and your opinions. I give a few details of myself and know that some may see who are bad persons. There is a rsik and you are absolutly correct in not posting any info about you. That is safe and there is nothing wrong with you for your feelings. This is a great group here but you are smart to do as you are.

Now you don't have to say I don't want to give info you just never give info as far as your reasons that is your own. If anyone does not accept your non-info giving WOL posting then they can go elsewhere and that probaly would be best for you.

I am sure there are some pen-pals here for you or join in where I am at up to U.

Hi Foxy. I'll talk to you on your terms. I see you are on Atkins, I'm starting my third week on induction and have only lost two pounds - I could use a little prodding. I do well all week, then fall down on the weekends. This week I'm gonna try harder! What would you like to talk about?

Understand!!

Hi Foxy,

I know just how you feel, I don't really like to disclose my info either. I have done Atkins on and off ever since I was about 12 year old, at one time I lost 100 pounds on Atkins. Over the last several years and 2 more kids I have put on 50 pounds. I lost slow compared to most others I talk to. I had to stay on the induction the whole time to lose. I know how hard the weekends are but if at all possible stay on because once you get into ketosis and then eat off the plan it is another 2 days before you can get into ketosis again. This really sets you back.

Lots of Luck

Hello:

I like these names! Foxy, this is the absolute best place to talk ( or not). Everyone understands and no one pressures you. We are all here to support. I would very much like to be in the group if I may.

Hi Kat,

How about we post in general ways and show foxy how it can go.

Example:

Hi Kat how are you? Is it raining where you are? WHere are you?

Kat replys,

It is raining and I am from a place where the sun don't shine when it rains!

Cheers

Jim

Hi Kathleen,

I went back to college and graduated 1991 with highest honors culinary degree. Yes, I did everything from fine dining to fast food and everything in between at many fine restaurants around Saratoga Springs, NY. I always enjoyed and grew to love cooking for others of course me too. I got out of the business due to crazy hours(never home) and working every weekend and holiday. I now have a desk job that is OK. If I ever get the extra $ I will open a breakfast/lunch restaurant.

I love LC and have a lot of food that I make. I usually make one item then have eggs and meat(pressure cooked chicken. I make items once a week and have for 4-7 days depending on items. I like to change things up and have different foods.

This week I am makinf Ground beef with broccoli and peas. Cooled and I put in a little Olive Oil Mayo. That is lunch and dinner. For breakfast I am having egg and cheese. For AM and PM snack I am having dill pickles. If you add up the calories and the no carb eating I should lose weight but it is hard for me even when I workout 5-7 days a week.

I am in year 4 and have lost 110 plus lbs. I had quit smoking and took the desl job that caused the weight gain and I was eating like I was working hard. The combination made me gain so much weight. I am now real fit and on of the most powerful man at my club even though I am over 50 yrs. old. I have all my hair and a neatly trimed beard.

So that is a post that gives a lot of info.

Thanks for asking about my chef status.

Cheers,

Jim

Chef,
I asked cause my brother is a chef. Graduated from CIA ? in Poughkepsie(sp?)
I just eat cause I like it. Strange, cause when i stopped smoking cigs back in '76 I lost weight. go figure, but then I was only 21.

I sit all day, and joined the local "Y" cause some of the ladies here SWORE to me that they would go with me and be a exercise buddy. NOT.
SO, I amd now doing a "boot camp" to get myself back into the every day routine of exercising. I hope this works. I should see some weight loss but more than that a "redistribution" of my flab.
I am 54 and do not want to be fat.
so that is me.
I will have to hit you up for some receipes that I can make without lots of work. I hate cooking

Hi Kat,

With LC WOE I don't really make anything that is delish. All is just OK. I have found that it is hard to get the right food items that allow for weight loss. Basically if you have seen some posts about just meat and water with no spice Oh well we don't need to cut down all that much.

I like to use Whole wheat pasta and low card bread at times. There is a lot of items I cook but they are all for weight loss or maintance so no Friday's tasty food items. Just keep eating what works for you. If you want a item to make that is good and will last all week I like to make a vegetable and beef soup I cook off the meat then mix with frozen vegetables put in water and microwave for 10 plus minutes. I like to use Mrs. Dash a little for flavor. Then I put in some Contadina Pizza sauce it gives the soup a lot of zip.

I like that you use chicken and broccoli that is a big one for me too. I pressure cook chicken every week it is always in the fridge.

A bite of chicken with broccoli is better than a lot of bad foods one could eat.

Have a great day!

Cheers

Jim

Jim,
woo hoo! thanks for the info. Chicken is actually grilled using a george foreman grill. I like to use a blackening season for it. Broccoli? why butter and salt and pepper.
I am not a soup fan. the best I can do on soups are tomato, new england clam chowder, french onion. not the kind of soups for a LC. that is why I have a hard time with this diet. I am really a veggie and fruit kind of girl. BUT when i get on a maintenance program I can indulge in my favorites every once in a while!

Hi Kat,

I like the Foreman Grill too. I use it at times. The blackened thing is good but, watch salt content. I know you do.

Good selections of soups but as you say not really LC. We just have to stay the course for a while get those lbs off then can have some other foods once or twice a week.

I am trying Maintenance right now but I am only going a little out of the box with food.

Nice to hear from you Have a great weekend!

Cheers
