What rewards do I give myself for mini-goal? If I answer honestly, it isn't going to sound good. Probably would have to admit that I eat a meal without worrying about what I am eating.

Yesterday, kept to no snacks, but only 60 oz water. Did get in 10 minutes of stretch/excercise.

*~* HB's Egg Cream Frappuccino *~*

Here's my "basic" Recipe...
FYI: I find that I MUST add EVCO and PP,
or I just don't stay full on an EC as a meal replacement...but YMMV!

*~* HB's Egg Cream Frappuccino *~*
(alternative to Wendy Chant's Mocha Protein Shake)

3 organic free-range/cage-free eggs (fresh!)
8 oz organic coffee (brewed strong & chilled overnight! I brew a pot each week just for EC's)
1 scoop Jay Robb's whey isolate protein powder (chocolate or any flavor!)
1 Tbsp SF Torani or DaVinci SF syrup (french vanilla or any flavor!)
1-2 Tbsp organic EVCO (melted & added LAST to avoid clumping!)

blend/froth eggs first
(makes it fluffy!)
add the rest of the ingredients in the order above
blend/froth again
add melted CO last

Pour into a tall frosty glass or mug & ENJOY!!!!!

* Sometimes I substitute Almond Breeze or Atkins Advantage Shake for the coffee
+ you can use any SF syrup under the rainbow of flavors!

It's really the FRESH RAW EGGS that make this "coffee milkshake" so darn creamy, filling, & yummy!

other option ingredients include:
1Tbsp psyllium husk
1 tsp local bee pollen
1 probiotic capsule
4 oz aloe vera gel & juice
1/4 cup organic kefir
1/4 cup organic yogurt
2 oz (1/4 cup) organic heavy whipping cream (don't need as the eggs are the "cream")

Count me in-Yes I Can.

1) You must be ready for CHANGE and able to Keep Promises to Yourself.
On the 1st of each month, we must each declare the following information:

a) You must choose a WOE and stick to it for at least One Month. Provide the basic details. atkins-low carb

b) You must choose an Exercise Plan … and Just Do It!
(or declare that Exercise is not a part of your current plan)
***pilates w/cardio 3x a week***

c) You must choose an article of clothing (i.e. blouse; pants; bra; swimsuit) and on each Wednesday, along with your Weight, report on the Thread, “how” that article of clothing "fits" you. You may also report your Measurements, but only if you choose to do so.
***i will report back w/measurements***

d) You must decide & declare if you will post your Daily Menu/Exercise/Water consumption. Because we will hold you to it!
***yes i will declare***

2) You must answer Teresa's "Question of the Day"!
***ok***

3) You must NOT be a “slave to the scale”! ***i agree**
Accept the fact that our weights fluctuate daily, even up to 5 lbs each direction, and ... get over it! The scale canNOT tell the difference between muscle, fat, fluid ~ so it’s NOT the best indicator of success! So, no whining re: stuff like: "I gained 3 lbs yesterday", etc. Because THAT is just NOT physically possible (unless you ate 10,000+ calories)!

4) You must recognize that Friendship & Support & Accountability are fundamental elements of Success.
**i agriee**

5) You must promise that, if you mess-up, you will get back on plan at the next meal, NOT the next day, week, month.
**i agree**

6) You must be able to give/receive constructive criticism and/or a good kick in the butt when need be! With no hard feelings! ***yup***

7) You must have a good sense of humor … and be able to laugh at yourself, even when it hurts!
**yup**

My mini goal would be to find a beautician that knows how to do hair, mine this time is 1 1/2 inches longer on one side I litterally put my hand up to head and told her "STOP I said leave it long." My ultimate goal would be to get a new wardrobe that is stylish and shows my new figure.

There are numerous threads about this pasta, some it stalls, some it does not. Some believe the box, some do not. I choose to believe the box and we eat it once a week or so and have never had a problem. Another one of those "mileage may vary" foods.

As far as taste... almost just like other pastas. I love it.
I've had it before and I like it...but then I like any whole wheat pasta too.

I'm not sure how/why it's different, but I have heard that if you overcook it, it loses that "low carb" count. So, there's a coating or something on it that will cook off in time...but if left on it slides right "through" ????

Are you kidding? 1 1/2 difference? Smack her! But, I do know what you mean. I finally have someone that I've gone to for about 1 year. Before that it was pathetic!

I had a pretty good day today, very busy though!

I got to go out to lunch with a good friend and that's always fun!

AND tonight, DD and I decided to go out for sushi, yeaaaa! I'm happy, I love sushi and luckily my menu today allows the extra carbs!

Hello, Ladies!

So many wonderful things are going to be happening as far as my nutrition and training are concerned. I belong to another forum called body building . com and was able to join a team and a group for free to help me with my goals!

My eating and training has been horrible the past few months. I felt good and had energy but not enough to gain muscle. This is what I want and need!

I will talk to you soon!

Take care!

Kim - how do you get your FitDay to display as you do? That looks like a very efficient way to do it.
Yep--time is awful! I have to admit though, I like my sleep so part of it is selfishness on my part!
I do feel great, I've come a long way and I'm proud even to maintain, which I've [B]never[B] been able to do in the past!
I just copy the macros from the chart with the pie graph and paste it, delete out the extra stuff.

Question of the Day ~
What rewards will you give yourself when you achieve mini-goals or your ultimate goal?
I'm not sure it was hunger, but some days I just "want" more than others. Portion control is a big issue with me as well, but it is why Atkins is the program for me. It's the only WOE I know that if you overeat it doesn't send you on a downward spiral, it just stalls you out a while!

QOTD--Rewards....hmmmm. I've actually spent a fortune on clothes the past 6 months or so. I'm going on a cruise to celebrate. My ultimate goal, once I decide what the heck it will be--that one's tough. I'd like to say if I ever reached a size 6 I'd run naked down the street screaming hallelujah but that might get me in trouble. My ultimate goal will be getting a tummy tuck, hopefully partially funded by my insurance company. That's big.

Am entering my fitday as we speak, will post again when I get it done, and I weighed today so I'll post that as well. You guys are doing awesome on the Chant Plan. I am in awe!

Okay, here's the down and dirty for the day.

Today I weighed in at 182.6. which is .8 lbs less than my low weight this go around, and I think 3 lbs down from last week! Finally moving in the right direction! I really want to be in the 170's by the cruise on the 19th. Even 179.999 will work!

Intake for today:
Calories 1,404
Fat 59%
Carbohydrate 19.2 gm 5%
Protein 121.5 gm 36%

No exercise, but calories much better today!

Okay, our 180's gals--how's that for progress????

Introducing Myself

Hello Board!
My daughter and I are starting weight loss plans on Monday of next week. We had a heart to heart today and have decided to support one another on improving our health, beginning with weight loss and exercise. Although I am not in agreement with her, she has decided to go to a weight loss clinic on Saturday that prescribes weight loss "drugs". I have agreed to go with her (her thought is that the clinic will convince me to join) but I am adamantly against drug use of any sort unless it is needed to live.
I see I need to answer some questions first.
a) You must choose a WOE and stick to it for at least One Month. Provide the basic details.
I read many things on the internet today and feel South Beach is the right choice for me. Limited carbs and fats. I've been compiling some simple recipes to get me started.

b) You must choose an Exercise Plan … and Just Do It!
(or declare that Exercise is not a part of your current plan)
Walking for now, 2 times a day, 15 minutes each time. That with my twice daily walk at work from the parking garage to my office should total 45 minutes of walking per day.

c) You must choose an article of clothing (i.e. blouse; pants; bra; swimsuit) and on each Wednesday, along with your Weight, report on the Thread, “how” that article of clothing "fits" you. You may also report your Measurements, but only if you choose to do so.

I just got a new pair of jeans for Christmas, they fit just right, so I will use those as my Wednesday weight loss guide.

d) You must decide & declare if you will post your Daily Menu/Exercise/Water consumption. Because we will hold you to it.

At this point I think I'll just state whether I am staying on my plan and if I met my exercise goals and water consumption. I will only be able to post briefly at lunch during the days as I work in a very fast paced office at the University here and we have no time to get on the internet except our 30 minute lunch time.

I've sort of been reading different boards all day (I'm off this week) and trying to learn how to post and figure things out. This board felt like the right place to say my first hello on lowcarbfriends I promise to say more about myself and say hello to all of you as I read more tomorrow.

Good night for now, until tomorrow.....Molly...aka... "puddlejumper"

Wednesday's Check-In!

I can't lie. I am a little bummed!

Lost 3 pounds.

Pants still don't fit.

Here's my first thoughts:
 1. not enough water
 2. not enough sleep
 3. too many nuts
 4. finding my groove?

Or I'm being selfish and crazy. 3 pounds is 3 pounds right? I really thought it would be a little bit more.

I'm shaking off that energy and soldering on girls. I bet I'm gloomy because I'm up so early and need sleep! lol

HB - I am up way too early!

That's a bummer about the inclusive MRI. How does your knee feel? Mine hurts like a mo-fo I have to say. I can't take the percocet proscribed. I'm not good with the drugs!

You are rockin' your plan girl. How's the smoking?

And feel free to kick my butt. I am disappointed with my results. I'm selfish and want to hurry! lol

Accountability Check-in

1/5: 16.5 carbs
1/6: 23 carbs (oops)
1/7: shooting for this week's daily goal of under 20 carbs

Note: Week 1 (Deplete Week) is the ONLY week we must count carbs on CTFLC

I got ALL of my water in BOTH days (68+ ounces)

2 Days of NO WINE!! (19 Days to go!)

No exercise yet; I'm still afraid to do anything given knee/back issues...
(it's a good excuse, really!)

But I know I need to "get back to it" and planning to do so SOON.

I don't have the additional problem of back issues, but I have been slowly venturing out into Nordic Track land and so far so good. My wasband had one and used it and he had really bad back troubles. Food for thought.

I got mine on Craig's List for nearly free ($60). The guy even brought it over to my house! LOL

Question of the Day ~

Have you planned mini-goals for your weight loss or just looking at the big picture?

I know crazy huh!!!

I haven't really planned mini goals but I need to change that. I have been stuck lately and need to do something different.

3 pounds Girl are you kidding. That is fantastic!!!!

Hi guys weighed in this morning at 4:30am no change 220.

I need to really change things up a bit. I feel like I have been doing good but I can't get out and exercise so whatever I do has to be in the house. I asked Dh to drag the tm out for me today. I checked on the gym and it is 65 dollars a month and I just can't afford that.

I am so frustrated right now. With the computer problems and everything else I don't what I am going to do.
