Question of the Day ~
We're almost to the end of month #1 of our new year ...
What was the most important thing you learned about yourself this month? How will it help you with your plan for February?

No problem. Man it was so good. I fixed some shrimp in garlic butter to go with it. YUM YUM

QOD! I learned that I am stronger than I thought I was. I was talking to one of the girls at work the on wednesday. I told her that I can't remember when I done anything for myself. We decided that is very sad. So for February I am going to do something for myself. But for January I am going to buy a new purse today. I have wanted one for a while now and today it is mine!!!!

Hi Ladies,
I have been so busy today baking a turkey and an angel food cake for me handicapped man today is his birthday. I had some of the turkey and stirfry veggies, I left the cake at his house. I do not need the temptation at mine.
First thing this morning hubby and I went to my old house and picked up a stereo cabinet made in Germany that use to be mine when I was married before, ex has passed on, so after 15 years of him being gone they gave me the cabinet. They had put it in garage so I am cleaning it like crazy and oiling it so it looks nice again. Now my hubby can put all his stereo equipment in it so now its "OURS" not just mine.
I have been lacking on water today like you Jennifer. with any luck I will get in my 100 ounces before bed
Todays menu
B 2 eggs, with 2 slices of bacon
S-Protein drink
L-4 ounces of turkey and 1/2 cup stirfied veggies
S-none
D-Protein shake

Water 60 ounces
Vitamins yes
Exercise working around house all day

I tried so many times to pop in today and kept getting interrupted with work stuff! The nerve!

Looks like you're doing well! How are you feeling?

Very cool on getting the stereo cabinet back!

And good girl on leaving the cake behind...good plan! And turkey, that sounds good too! I'm such a poultry fan, I love the stuff!

I sat down and starting going through tax stuff ... and found out that I probably screwed up my taxes last year by paying too much. I found a deduction that I missed.

I think I might just break down and have H&R Block do my taxes for me, arggh!

Anyway, chat later!

How dare they interfere with you computer time.

Actually I am feeling great. I haven't been real hungry but I am trying to eat. I have lots of energy. Right now it is cold outside and I am freezing and I burned my finger trying to cook the chicken tonight and it hurts but hey I am great. Thanks for all the encouragement.

I know! How rude, huh?

And that's great about the "feeling" ... sounds like ketosis for sure. And yes, it's really important to keep eating and keep your blood sugar stable. So, even if it's a mini meal, do eat regularly.

Sorry you burned your finger! ouch!

Morning ladies !!!

Hope everyone is doing well and having an "on plan" day!

We're heading out for a hike on the peak today and then weights...then after that, guess! Ah you are so smart...I'm studying, that's right!

What are you all doing today?

And...

QUESTION OF THE DAY ~ and last one of the month ~
Are you going or having a Super Bowl Party? And if so what are you making to eat? Oh and who are you rooting for? who's playing? I know it's not the Seahawks...

Hi Ladies!

Friday I woke up late (slept through my alarm and even my furry four-footed alarm slept in ). But for some reason, I woke up happy--not sure why. But I thought Friday was going to be a very good day. Maybe it was the extra sleep or maybe it was the presentation I was dreading all week was finally over and it went well... Maybe the stars were alligned just right. Who knows... But Friday felt like a good day to be alive.

Do you ever feel like that for no particular reason??

Friday turned out to be a good day. I received a job offer for a permanent full time position at the company I am working at as consultant. And the offer included a raise. Good Day, definitely!

I just wanted to share my good news with all of you.

Hope all of you had a good day too. Have a great weekend too!

***
The hike sounds like great fun! It is really cold and windy here... 25 high, but with wind chill, it feels like 14.

I may brave the dog park despite the cold and wind.... Brrrrr....

I am definitely going swimming today. I missed water aerobics last week because of work and a snow/ice storm, but I made it swimming three times. Starting tomorrow 2/1, I am committed to swim 40 laps at least twice a week. I did 34 laps and 36 laps last week, so I am hoping 40 won't be too difficult.

Then there are lots and lots of chores to do... Last week was a busy work week, so, a lot of things around the house did not get done.

No Super Bowl Party for me... The Arizonia Cardinals and playing the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Arizonia Cardinals beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the last play-off game. Philadelphians are feeling a bit disappointed about the Super Bowl.

Food-wise, I'm back on the plan today. Yesterday was my free day (carb up day). Must be good today, and must exercise today, too, to avoid the whip...

more later...

I have to go to work tomorrow so no party. I am rooting for the steelers. It is the steelers and the cardinals.

I just hope everyone doesn't celebrate too much and end up at the hospital.

Where is everyone at today?
Congrats Nancy!!!

Today has been a great day for me. We went to Franklin and looked around a bit. We always go to Cody's Roadhouse when we go out there. I always have the best of intentions when I eat there. But there bread is soooo good. Today however was different. I had a nice salad w/ garlic ranch dsg and steak (yummy). and grilled veggies. And NO BREAD, not even one little nibble. I am so proud of myself. I didn't even want it.

My exercise has been walking all over the stores.

Friends coming over for tax work--so the guys will be watching football while I work.

Going to do loose ground beef in crock pot, cheese with sausage hot dip and a bean dip, with grated cheese available, so people can eat/dip whatever.

I have pork rinds and Tortilla dipping chips for them to choose from.

I wait until during the game, and pick the team I want to win.....usually based more on sportsmanship/players than team name.
