HB -I posted earlier in the day, after lunch I wanted to get in some exercise so a tree DH cut down a year ago and left in a pile I wanted it, neat, he calls me the park ranger and I call him Boo boo as in Yogie Bear, I stacked up all the wood in a nice neat pile, got saw dust all over me, in eyes and all but it looks nice now. I thought that would be exercise and work at one time.
Better run and get my hot lemon water.

Good Morning Peeps!!!

Q of Day:

RICH!!!!!!!! They say money doesn't buy happiness but I sure would like to try! Plus, I know I can lose weight on my own but if I were rich I could do it in say... Venice this week. Maybe Greece next week. Oh I would travel, travel, travel..... Ohhh maybe a round the world cruise with a luxurious stateroom... 1st class travel all the way baby. No need to pack... I'll just buy new clothes...

Speaking of travel...

DH has to go out of town all week next week for work. He has to drive a trailer full of geotech equipment from Charleston, SC up to Boston, MA. Then do some training with the company up there that is leasing the equipment on site in CT. Then drive to Philadelphia, PA to check on another job. Then drive home.

So I'm going to go with him. Kids are going to my Mom's tonight. This way DH and I get a little mini vacation with paid for hotel rooms and gas. Granted he's gotta work but should still have time for some fun.... Plus I get to see snow

So, I'm going to sit-down and think about what makes sense for me and I will post that later today. Thanks Shelly, for making me "think" about this, just when I really needed/wanted to!

Well, Wednesday Weigh-in was NOT kind to me; I'm back up the 2 lbs that I lost last week.
Oh well. Easy come; Easy go!
I'm not even going to try the swimsuit cause it would just sadden me
I don't need that right now.

Today is a NEW day and I'm going to Deplete for the next 5 Days EXACTLY by the book.
NO deviations; NO guess-work; NO "winging it" (as I am prone to do).

Back to supplements & exercise. Back to taking some of my own advice!

Today is Day 3 cig-free.
+ I have an appt w/ my new arthritis doc today at 2:30pm.

XO,
HB
Sorry to hear about the "up" on the scale - but you have a plan! And YEAAAAAAA - Day 3 ciggie free (yesterday) so today is Day 4 - YEAAAAAA! These are the worst days and you made it!!! I'm so proud of you!

I can cook great "dishes" and I can bake OK;

Christmas =======> 294
New Year's ======> 290
Last Wednesday ==> 289.6
Today ==========> 285.8

No so good on exercise in the past week. Only made it to one Water Aerobics class and one 30 laps swim session. I did walk the dog and went to the dog park 3 times for 2 to 3 hrs each time.

I have to get back into the exercise habit again. Last year, when the pool was closed for a week in August, I went crazy lining up substitute pools that I could use that week. Even went through the LA Fitness sales pitch to get a 3 day guest pass to use that week. The mere thought of going more than a day without going to the pool was unthinkable. I need to get back into that habit again.

One of my problems is I'm working longer hours. I have to choose in the evening whether to take Connor to the dog park or go swimming or get home too late to do either. I know the solution is get up really early and go to the pool before work. I'm not a morning person, but I am going to try this approach next week. I promise to go the pool early morning at least once in the coming week. I CAN DO THIS!!! Right????

I found this website, which had lots of good ideas on self motivation:

Personal Development for Smart People - Steve Pavlina

He had an idea I never thought of for getting up early:

How to Become an Early Riser

Practice, Practice, Practice unil you make it a no-brainer habit. Sound sort of silly, but if it works, I'm all for it!

More later... I have a dog training class tonight... so no pool and no dog park tonight.

Congrats on the loss! Whoohooo!!!

And hey, good idea about the gym ... or we could just have an awesome exercise room and hire a kick butt trainer to drag our sorry butts out of bed to workout!

You could also hired "the random cute gym guy" to exercise with you so you have something else to watch...not just the TV !

OK, the regular busy work day...then home to exercise and then I'll take DD out to dinner to celebrate the college thing! I'm guessing we'll do sushi, her favorite!

Q of the D ~
So, we talked about handling stress...how do you handle celebrations when others are eating and drinking “around” you? Other than “not attending the celebration”, what could you do to make the situation easier (less tempting) for yourself!

Well if I know it is coming I can rearrange my high carb day so it falls on the day of the party. Otherwise I drink lots of water and look for foods I can eat. I try to eat before going too.

Shelly I always try to keep busy I an not sit still hubby gets upset because of that but Oh well that's just me.

Congrats to your DD.

Question of day. Oh I would go most people know that I am losing weight so they undoubtebly be watching to see if I will cheat, so you bet ya I wouldn't just so they wouldn't have anything to say like "Look she caved in". NOPE not me. I will have water and something small that I know I can eat OP before I go so I won't be really hungry I could just nibble on a few things there. I don't drink so no problem there.

Jeanne Yes I did a carb up day yesterday so now today its back to low carb I am going to do 20 again this week. Really I don't miss the carbs that much I like to myself stay around 30-50 on a normal basis so that is why I like this plan.
Are you losing inches as well as the pounds? I really think I will stick to this WOE also.
Well its off to exercise in a few
Have a super day

I don't do well with celebrations when it is my family or DH's family. If it is other people I don't want to look like a pig so I usually don't eat much. I guess if I got my mind in the right place I could probably not eat as much crap at family get togethers.

Yep I put on my regular jeans this morning... they are size 12 Levi's. They fit at this weight before, but it was the kinda fit that when you get home you change back into sweatpants if you KWIM... today the are comfy.

OMG I love that thread it makes me drool. Literally. I think a lot of those recipes would work great. On CTFLC I pretty much act like I am on induction then add whatever starch for the day....

Went to DMV this morning and I now have a brand spankin new license. I've lived in the area for 6 years and am just now giving up my GA drivers license (don't tell ) I fixed my hair and put on a little makeup so I even look decent in my photo. Doesn't renew for 10 years so good thing I like it. Put 175 pounds on license so that will be my next mini goal. Course when I hit my actual goal weight I am going to hate seeing it on there. Noticed while I was there my passport expires in a few months so that will be the next thing to renew.

Must say Kudos to SC DMV. They were quick, friendly and efficient. Hands down best DMV experience ever.

Jeanne I bet you looked beautiful smiling in your drivers picture. Were you able to save old license that way you can look back at the OLD Jeanne? Woo Hoo on the size 12 levis.
I do like HB said eat as though I am on induction but add my veggies to make up my 20 carbs a day.
Hope you have a great day,

Alberta

I knew that you'd LOVE it if I could just get you to DIVE IN !!

Do Induction for a week, 'cause you have to do it for 7 days on CTFLC anyway!
So you can be "prepping" by doing Induction (20 carbs) till ya get your CTFLC book.

Hope you can do better than me...see my next post...

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! :(

WHY can't I do this ???????????

I canNOT seem to do the damn Deplete !!!!!!!!!!!

This morning, I had waffles for breaky.
I was CRAVING them SOOOOO BAD.
I WANTED those waffles and NOTHING was gonna stop me.
Nope.

So I had 2 Van's all natural, home-style; zero trans fat; dairy & egg-free; no preservatives; gluten-free; wheat-free (whole grain brown rice flour); yadda yadda yadda ...WAFFLES w/ unsalted Butter + 2 Tbsp SF Smucker's syrup @ 40 carbs total.

So I've already blown it today

WHY am I doing this to myself ??

I did fantastic yesterday, ended at 22 carbs...
and then blew-it with a 15 carb whole-grain choc muffin just before bed.
End of day total = 37 carbs

(unfortunately, I found these in the freezer last week, I made 2 boxes of Southaven Farms Muffins & forgot about them; now that I've "discovered" them again; I've been sending them w/ hubby to work as quickly as possible to GET THEM OUT OF THE HOUSE and AWAY FROM MY MOUTH!!!!!)

Mon/Tues were disasters at 69 and 39 carbs, respectively.
Wed ended at 37 carbs.
Thu is already at 40 carbs.

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY ?????

OK, rant over.

at least I'm NOT eating any CRAP.
all of my Carbs are GOOD CARBS!!

(well mostly; except for on Monday)
But I gotta figure out HOW I'm gonna do this RIGHT ??
it's ONLY 7 Days ... WHY can't I do 20 carbs for 7 Days ??

I'm going to eat VLC for the rest of today;
and start Deplete over (again) on Saturday.
Not Friday. I just don't want to start on Friday.
I'm going to have pizza & wine w/ DH on Friday night.

And then I'm going to Deplete Sat/Sun/Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu ~ 6 days.
and then Carb-up again next Friday.
That is my new(est) plan. Please hold my feet to the fire!

Meanwhile, at least I'm still not drinking alcohol/wine or smoking cigs!
I got my Wellbutrin yesterday + a bunch of other supplements.
Maybe that will help me?
I need HELP. I am sick of being OVERWEIGHT

I think I need a live-in Coach. I really do.
Do ya think Jillian Michaels would come live with me??
