Not familiar with Josh Gron E and I listen to alot of music on the computer at work. I use Pandora site as of late , free, you type in an artist, etc. and they play your choice and similiar sounding groups. My office roomie likes the new age stuff and most music so not an issue. Glad your friend is visiting Fri., how far are you from Chicago, I spent many a day there living in Milwaukee. The modified WW has worked for me E, and I have lost with my treats I cant give up. The scale has not moved this week yet. Ive got to quit buying capris on ebay, I have so many now, thats all I wear to work with a t and im so comfy. I use to wear pullover dresses that hid the fat everyday. Yesterday 3 diff. surgical teddy bears arrived ( so cute but why 3 ) ,surprise for BF's upcoming surgery. We love teddy bears. Great going again D on the pool, what a nice place and people - Ashby - now I dont know about the irratic weather. So sorry about your flower garden D but your lunch will be a hit regardless, I love cheescake and homemade banana bread, that would be torture for me.
Hello C, T, SC, and A ! Hope all is good. Wed am-potion, strawberries and cantelope lunch-salad w 2 deli sl. of turkey breast dinner-pork chop and peas snacks-skinny cow, fruiti, pretzels I am thinking im not quite sure on my new deal- the skinny cow cones, I may have to go back to the lc or ww ice cream sandwich - just a wierd feeling as they are only 50 cals. more. |

D,so sorry about the garden
I love every kind of flower, even wild flowers that most people call weeds Maybe after the sun comes out it will revive some of them.Don't you just love it when the teenagers want to hang out with you?( for a short period of time that is) I used to love driving my gdaughter around with her friends.I just kept quiet and listened.I learned alot of what was going on and was shocked at some of it!I know you feel alot better now that all the waters gone YH, so cute about the bears Make sure you take them to the hospital and put them around the room My friend lived outside Chicago in a town called Thorton, I think. She is going to come today instead of Friday.I haven't had the skinny cow cones but I used to eat the sandwiches all the time. You never can tell if the company is being truthful on the calories, fat etc. as they have such leeway with the figures You are getting alot of compliments |

Hello ladies!!
I have been busy cleaning this morning. Dh got up at 4:30 am, bless his heart, to help. I dragged my lazy butt out of bed at 6 am but I waited till he went to work before I started in. He gets sidetracked on other projects, which frustrates me to no end and causes me to supervise his work too much, so we don't work well side-by-side. ![]() I don't know about this weather either, YH. Very unusual for us to be getting such bad weather on an ongoing basis like this. It's driving me crazy!! The only good thing is that the rain and lightening seems to hold off till I come home from the pool so at least it's not stopping me from swimming. Small consolation though when you look at our flower and vegetable gardens this morning. ![]() So when is the date of bf's surgery? I know you've told us but I am so forgetful these days. You know I will be keeping him in my thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery/speedy recovery and good health afterwards. How old is he?E, glad to hear you lost those 2 lbs (again!) Maybe you had a little "unblocking??" T, I hope you are feeling okay and not sick in bed!!?? SC, working pretty hard these days? Miss A, what are you up to? I know C is with her cousin, but where did everyone else go to?? Well the sun is out finally so maybe it will be nice for when my company comes today. E, have fun with your friend and be careful with the Chinese food!! (It's a hard one for me to resist too!!) YH, hang onto all those capris and when you finally get so skinny that they are falling off of you, you can divvy them out to the rest of us! Or even better -- you can tell witchie-woman that they are too big on you, does she want them now?? ![]() Back to cleaning. Catch ya later ladies! D |

Oh my!
Poor UPS guy. I think he just went blind.
![]() I was dusting in the livingroom, wearing only a t-shirt and pr of underpants, no bra at all. My music blasting. I had my back to the door and was busy jiggling my very large backside around as I polished, when I heard a loud knock! ![]() Turned around and there he was -- about jumped out of my skin! And here I am trying to cover my boobies with my arm and trying to hide the lower half of my body behind the door (although he already had a good eyefull!!) and now he wants to talk about the storm we had last night!! Oh my!! ![]() |

My luncheon just ended. It turned out very nice. Everyone loved my quiche, there's only one sm piece left, which I'll save for dh. I had one piece, no crust, and a scoop of chicken salad, no bread. I also had a little cheese, pepperoni and a couple of olives plus a few almonds. I made sure I had a bowl of those on the table so I wouldn't be tempted by the mini cheesecakes. Those came out so pretty, I alternated the toppings, some with canned cherries/syrup, others with a slice of fresh strawberry or a fresh blackberry. The gals loved 'em. It was really hot but no one wanted to come indoors in the a/c, they enjoyed sitting at the table under the patio umbrella. I had a little fan going in the corner of the deck to stir up a breeze and where the meeting only lasted 2 hours, it wasn't too bad.
YH, I hope you get to jump in the pool this afternoon. I wish I lived in a warm climate year-round, I'm going to miss swimming when the season ends! My sorority sister Kathy is picking me up in a couple of hours and we're go swimming together. Another sorority sister cannot go tonight but said she would join us another night. I'm going to fill up that pool one way or another! Elaine, how did your visit go with your friend? And how was lunch out with your other friend? Hope she saw all the stop signs this time! ![]() Hello to T, C, A and SC, wherever you chickies are! Hope you are all enjoying your day! DLast edited by Denise78; 07-24-2008 at 03:23 PM.. |

Good evening ladies!
Well that was some story D....being a small town is it going to be spread from one end to the other??? UPS men may be volunteering to make deliveries to your home...dh will be getting the wink from all his buddies in town ![]() Glad your luncheon went well--aside from the cheesecakes most of it seems to have been diet correct; one of the main reasons to be the hostess & be in charge I think I will try the bran cereal--I like bran flavor so I think it will work for me. Like bran muffins, that's why I thought I'd like those bran crackers. Never found them in the store & didn't want to order them. Between the bunnies & storms your garden has really had a beating this summer....you'll still be at Wally's world looking for sales on veggies this winter LOL A friend gave me a jar of homemade strawberry jam--her first batch & she was so proud & happy to share....I can taste a half a teaspoon to that I can give her an honest answer. I use to do all that so she wanted my opinion on how it came out--so I can't just say thanks--what if it's nasty & she puts up another batch & hands it around....LOL Dh will be happy to eat the rest on bagels etcHey that's great on the 2lbs Harley!!! Chinese is salty that's for sure. I've only had it once in the last year. Food works out ok, it's the egg rolls that temp me so bad....are there not many food choices when you girls go to do your errands or is Chinese that other gals favorite? I think I am going to try that lc diet where you divide all the carbs by 15, maybe it will jump start my fat loss Friends & family will do you in every time. Then in between we sabotage ourselves....no wonder we don't get anywhere LOLSorry to hear what your friend said Ms A!! Sounds like you had a good day otherwise. Can't imagine going to London for the day... No luck w/MOB hats aye. Any more thoughts on your dress?? Have you started job hunting yet? Seems like a good idea to have ds3 drive you to the hospital YH. He wouldn't mind I'm sure. Hope bf has the surgery sooner than later. After all your jokes about EBay shopping and I think I'm better off not learning how how did you resolve the worlds ugliest Capri's purchase?? Sure would like to be in your pool tonight! T I hope you are feeling better! I always find it harder to be sick in the hot weather! My eating was not perfect while I was gone but the real problem was portion size. When I was full I kept eating..nerves. Very hard trips these are. Am just hoping to be the same this Sat. Been drinking my water again today as I'm not on the road anymore. In the heat in this schedule my exercise has went down the toilet....my next free moment is Sat morning. Sat. afternoon I have my Euchre pool party. Another food challenge....don't want to have to stay home til I get the weight off but I swear it's so hard picking around foods all the time! Renee said she'd do all the food herself & would keep it simple so I'm hoping for burgers on the grill & salad.Well I'm beat & then to get to bed. Back in the morning w/ my coffee |

Hi, Gals--
I'm sitting here typing while coughing. Terrible flu-like thing, awake all night coughing. So I'm getting an awful lot of tv watching done! I turned on the discovery health channel and have seen some weight loss shows that are kind of motivating. There's this one old chick though, who is a vegetarian and she goes into grocery stores and accosts shoppers and yells at them for their unhealthy food choices. If she sees you eating a bag of chips she snatches it away from you, stuff like that. So she takes on heavily overweight people and makes them eat all kinds of health food, and quizzes them about their sex life. That seems to be important to her, no wonder, cause she's no looker, very drawn and unhealthy looking, so who would want to...oh well, anyhow she makes them eat mostly vegetables, which is good I guess, but they don't end up losing as much weight as people who are on lowcarb! It's weird. ![]() Dh liked ice road truckers, too, Y. I couldn't see the fascination, guess it's a male thing. Pity you having to go through a whole marathon of it, but what we don't do for our men when they need us! That is so cool that guys are coming up to you and complimenting you and asking for advice! Gosh, that sure makes eating all those fruitis worth it, huh! When do we get the new picture of you? Can't wait to see, although your current one is pretty cute! What are surgery teddy bears?Your lunch sounded so scrumptious, D. Too bad about the hail storm! Your poor garden has taken such a beating this season! You have the most changeable weather I have ever heard of; at least it calmed down enough for you to get to the pool. That is so great you have so many friends who are keeping you company there, and I'm sure it's good for them too! The 270's are so close! How is ds1 doing with his respiratory infection? When will ds2 be back from DC? Have you heard how their trip has been going?E, maybe your cat wants to make some online pals or order herself some catnip! Sure glad she didn't do it any permanent damage! Glad you had a nice visit with your friend who came to visit. Too bad the other one is trying to egg you into going off your diet. Isn't it weird how some people do that, even though they can eat whatever they want! I guess some folks just want a "partner in crime." Hi to SC, MsA, and C! ![]() I ordered a pair of size 10 jeans to use as my next motivation even though I couldn't get them in the cut I prefer. I figured it would just be good to have a pair around that I could try pulling on from time to time. The 12's are still a little uncomfortable, except for one pair. I'm still relishing wearing all the size 14's I filled my drawers with and have not been able to wear until recently! I hated to just wear them once or twice and no more. And most of them shrank when I washed them anyway. So they're about 12 and a halfs, I'd say. Haven't been able to exercise, but I've been eating less because I haven't had a big appetite, and am not wanting to eat any creamy or fat stuff. So I think I might be losing a little more, cause the pants are fitting looser. B - 2 eggs, small bowl squash soup L - salad w/few slices apple, few grapes, avocado, chicken breast D - Chinese chicken vegetable soup S - small red plum, few almonds, 1/2 slice gouda cheese Have a happy Friday, everyone! Guess I was typing while you were posting, C. Just wanted to say glad you are back--we missed you. Hope everything went OK with your cousin. How is she doing? How did you do with taking her to chemo? That's rough, I know. With all the stress and partying you've had on your schedule, you'd be doing well to not gain! Could you take some of your own food to the Euchre party just in case they don't have a good selection? Hope you get a good rest tonight and have a nice day Friday!

Oh, yeah, D--I did want to comment on the UPS guy--you know they are in the business of making "deliveries." Sounded pretty chummy to me, Girl! As the eldest in this group, I feel I must exercise my authority as Grandma and admonish you to no longer answer the door in your underwear and braless or you'll have the whole UPS fleet down there and we will have to report you to dh who will doubtless get his shotgun and, well, you know then you will have half a dozen UPS guys belly-up in the garden along with the bunnies!

Good to hear from you C and not gaining this week will be an accomplishment with all the goings on, I will be in the same boat when bf goes to hospital and parents here etc. I would think the hospital cafeteria would have decent choices tho. Oh those ugly capris are hanging over some chair, she refunded the money right away. Hope you had a good visit with your friend E - I would have a problem going to CB so often, I have always eaten alot there and then would buy the old fashioned candy on the way out. I think you will have the loss by Sat still. T-hope you feel better soon, that show sounds interesting-never ran across that one-yes-I also have to watch nonstop Deadliest Catch-but actually dont mind those shows and now there is some Lumberjack one and the Oil Rig guys plus Ice Road Truckers
He is always playing poker while tv so I guess he does not have to pay attention that closely. The surgical bears are just stuffed bears with surgical/dr. outfits on. So happy you ordered the size 10's in the jeans. I know, the sizes are all over the place thats why I prefer the scale for me. D-your lunch sounded terrific as usual-I was thinking of banana bread all day and the little cheesecakes. I noticed Betty Crocker is not bringing in all the baked goods lately and see her eating oatmeal now Hope you got to the pool-I imagine an indoor swimming facility would be ages away from you - well just come on down and use my pool anytime you like. I always have it all to myself 99% of the time. The summers are nasty here but im by the ocean so better than living west of me or central Fl. No one showed up at work yesterday except me and the witch. They also approved my leave slip using family sick so I may just take next Fri. and all of the following week off, ill play it by ear with bf, his parents, etc. Went to Curves after work, only one there this time. Thurs. am-grapefruit and necatarine lunch-kashi cereal with few blackberries, little lf milk, cuke, tomato, celery sticks. dinner-chick. breast with green beans snack-fruiti, pretzels exercise-Curves |

Good Morning Everyone! It is so nice to log on in the morning and see all the new posts and have so many laughs
T,it sounds like this cold is going to hang on for awhile![]() I hope you start feeling better soon, but I see you haven't loss your sense of humor.UPS post was so funny I would like to see that show on DH channel.Actually I would like to see some woman smack her for taking their chips![]() C,so glad to have you back! You have so little time for yourself and you choose to spend some of it with us How is your cousin doing?I hope she is making some improvement but I guess it's too soon to tell Why does every function have to center around food? I guess it's always been that way but when we were younger and didn't have a weight problem we didn't notice as much For your pool party Sat.just take something you can snack on and drink lots of water and maybe you'll be okYH,I know you will be glad when this surgery is behind you! It's a lot of stress for you and bf.I'm so glad they approved your leave. You won't have to find Gretchen and Helga after all You would think hospitals would have healthy food but most of them don't Gotta get busy. It's getting late![]() |

Good morning ladies!
![]() C and T, glad to see your posts! We missed you! You had me laughing hysterical about the UPS guy. Bunnies in the garden and winking delivery men. Dh got quite the chuckle out of it too! Truth be told, there's probably a petition being passed around at UPS right now to boycott all future deliveries to my house!! ![]() A pool party sounds like so much fun, C. I don't know about you, but if I'm in a bathing suit, it's kind of a slap back to reality and it motivates me to stay on plan, plus you can jump in the pool and swim some laps to burn off whatever you do eat. I hope things went well with your cousin. Will you be going back anytime soon? Dh loves all those homemade jams. Whenever I go to a bake sale, he tells me to buy preserves off the oldest lady there. He says the older the lady, the better the jam. I want to learn how to preserve since I just ordered a box of peaches from the Lions Club. Of course I'll make lots of pies and cobblers for dh and ds1, but I thought maybe some peach preserves would be nice to give as Christmas presents.Hey C, speaking of egg rolls, here's a little something you can make that's a lot less calories/carbs than a regular egg roll and it's so quick and easy. I use the bagged cole slaw and fry it up in some pan spray, along with cooked ground beef or shredded pork. Toss a little soy sauce in (not too much cuz of the sodium but a little for flavoring is okay) and there you go. Tastes just like the inside of an egg roll and it's so yummy!! I eat it plain but I imagine you could throw it inside a low-carb tortilla or pita if you wanted.T, I'm sorry you're still suffering. Have you gone to a dr for some prescription meds? Ds1 was given cough med w/codeine and that really knocked him out so he wasn't up all night coughing. He said he is feeling so much better now, thanks for asking. When I had that bad cold, my dr told me I could take the codeine cough med even tho I have Diabetes because it was only once at bedtime and it was only for a week or two. Keep with the soups, those really help! And drinks lots of clear liquids. I've always heard that dairy products are not good when you are congested -- they tend to produce more mucus, so you're wise to stay away from the creamy things. Hope you're feeling better soon! Well YH, I know you think that you got that time off all on your own but I have a feeling Helga may have had something to do with it. I can just see her sauntering into your boss' office, cigar hanging from her lower lip, a few hair curlers stuck on the top of her frizzy hair, grimy bathrobe hanging open revealing some rather hairy legs, telling your boss in a gruff raspy voice, "Hey Babe, I want to talk to you about this YH chick and some time off she needs." I bet your boss rolled over and played dead, "Give YH all the time off she needs!!" ![]() Hey Elaine, while it's on my mind (just finished taking all my pills). Are you taking any supplements or vitamins? Most of us here are, if I remember correctly. You should probably ask your dr about that. I take cinnamon, vitamin D, folic acid, and Omega 3 fish oil pills. I just recently started taking magnesium because I heard it helps "regulate" things, sometimes the bran cereal doesn't always work! I also take potassium (that's a prescription med which I need because I take water pills). But the others I just get at Wal-Mart or KMart. I was taking a multi-vitamin too but I stopped for a bit since I am eating so much dk green leafy veggies and other supplements, I wasn't sure if I needed that too. Okay so now it's just SC and Miss A that are MIA for the time being. Hope to hear from you gals soon and hope it's just because you are busy and nothing wrong! Friend called last night, we're going to Curves this morning. I'm stiff and sore from swimming but I like to get to Curves at least twice a week and we've only gone once this week and it's Friday so I'll have the rest of the wkd to rest up. I won't have any kids this wkd. Ds1 took our boat with him and is going camping with friends straight from work tonight. Ds2 gets home from Washington D.C. late Sunday night and needs to get to the ranch so he'll be ready to work early Monday morning. He has called me everyday he's been there and is having a great time. Some good news about Vonn. One of the (adult) lifeguards at the pool last night is also a nurse and she told me she heard it's not a staph infection like they thought. Whew. He is still a very sick little boy but staph infections are pretty much the end of things, so at least there is hope for recovery yet. ![]() TGIF ladies!! D |

I'm back, safe and sound. She was kidding with me and said she wasn't going to run the stop signs today
We went to (guess where for lunch) CB.It's the only place around that has good food for my diet.We had a discussion about the carbs(dividing by 15) and I think she is confusing carb SERVINGS.Her diabetic dietitian told her 15g counts as 1 carb serving and she could have so many servings per day.I said when your on a lc diet you have to go by whats on the package Anyway I started talking about WW and she said "lets go" so we are going to join Tues. My dh is probably going to think I am just doing this so I can eat more junk.I love the WW cakes and desserts I am going to hold off on that stuff until I start losing anyway![]() |

Yep, I know what your friend is talking about now, E. I had a dietician use that terminology, 15 carbs equals one serving and you can have so many servings per day. Trouble (for me anyway) was that she wanted me to eat 3 servings per meal plus 1 serving for each snack, averaging around 150 carbs per day.
Never could control my sugar levels till I dropped it to 20-30 carbs per day, which is a lot lower than the American Diabetes Association recommends but it really works for me. Good for you and your friend to join WW. Do you have a town pool in your area where you and your friend could swim? If she is a large woman, swimming would be much easier for her than walking, and swimming actually burns more calories than walking on a flat even surface (I'm guessing your hill would be too much for her). Evening, Ladies--
Gosh, E, you'd think your dh would be happy you have been a good influence on your new friend and you are going to lose weight together! It is a healthy plan, and you will get the support by going to the meetings. It works for a lot of people! It might even be better for you to get more vegetables and a little fruit--could help you from staying so stopped up! D, I am so glad to hear that Vonn does not have a staph infection! Thanks for letting us know; now I have lots more hope for him. So this is going to be a lonely weekend without the boys, huh! So sweet ds2 has kept in touch, and glad he's having a great time, too! Sounds like ds1 must have gotten over his illness since he's going camping. Peach preserves sound wonderful, D! Have you ever put up preserves before? It sounds like fun, but how can you keep yourself from eating them? If I ever hear I only have a short time left, I'm going to fill my days eating peach cobbler! Hope you had a good exercise session at Curves. I still can't do much, and I'm getting cranky just lying around. Starting to lose muscle tone already. If I still have this come Monday, I'll go to the Dr.Y, you definitely deserve saint of the year award for suffering through all those manly shows! No wonder you have reverse insomnia, it's probably the only time you get the tv to yourself! Well, he really owes you now! Whenever I watch a lot of sports with dh, I know I'm going to get company for a chick flick soon! Congrats on getting BC to stop trying to clog everybody's arteries, including her own! How's the witch taking all of this? Glad you got the time off--what day is the surgery?SC, hope you are still enjoying SB! Have you heard anything more from ds? C, I know you have a big weekend coming up--hope you have a lot of fun! MsA, hope you have been able to stick to your plan through all your challenges! I'm getting no exercise, but at least I am not eating a whole lot. Here's today's menu: B - egg, sausage, spinach, few blackberries L - small salad, tuna, minestrone soup (no beans or pasta) D - chicken breast, sauteed zucchini w/tomatoes, onions, peppers, few green beans S - few slices plum, almonds, gouda cheese Have a fun Saturday! Happy Saturday !
Now E, I dont get why your dh would care what type of plan you are on, its a very individual thing unless its the cost ?? When I started WW I joined online and did not do the meetings but this sounds good for you and your friend. Im the junk eater here, but still lost with my snacks. I dont do WW faithfully as I dont get in the oils, dairy, etc. they say and dont use flex pts. They have a points plan or core plan ( core is all you can eat from a list ) You can check out a meeting for free then decide. How much weight does your gf need to lose ? I chose ww so I could drink coffee unlimited, have fruit, and snacks, did not know a thing about it prior even tho its been around for ages. I had to chuckle because this reminded me of BF when he was not working and me telling him to make me giants pots of soup for the " Cabbage Soup Diet " and him complaining at the stove, chopping, etc D-thats funny, all the low carb talk has never bored me, in fact I believe it helped me as far as staying away from breads, pasta, etc. Not quite sure how I ended up here but sure glad I did, you guys are a major factor in my success so far. In fact, I thought of you yesterday and forced myself into the pool after work, which is hard for me on a Friday for some mental reason like I worked all week, I deserve to eat and not exercise I also said I was starting a diet on Monday for over 2 yrs. so I could eat all the crap and just gain more and more. Hope you got to Curves D and im curious on your green tea experiment but its probably way too soon to tell, I have a couple boxes here as sometimes s3 drinks it. Im with you T - if I got a short time left im going to the Cape Cod potato chip factory, many brewery tours, etc. Get a z pack or something on Monday T if you are not better. I loaded up on pills you need a script for here in MX last Nov. and the antibiotics, etc. sure came in handy. I know the just sitting around being sick can get to you and I believe you on the muscle tone, you can just tell. We will need this board always, even when at goal because it will be work just to maintain, or we will all balloon up yet again.Hello C, hope to hear from you today ! Yes, MIA- SC and Miss A. Well today is weigh day, ill report shortly. Fri. am-strawberries and cantelope lunch-salad w turkey breast dinner-leftover pk. chop, green beans snacks-fruiti, few pretzels, skinny cow cone pool-30 Laps |

What a Great day
Dh was up and said "see,I told you it would start working,if you just gave it some time"he really is supportive of me it's just that I've never been on a diet this long except WW and he feels like I'm doing good and don't need to switch. I really do eat too much junk on WW even if it is their junk I think it is best that I stay on what I'm doing for awhile and see how I do,maybe I broke the fat barrier I talked to my friend this morning and she is going to try to follow WW on her own.I really don't think she will because she's really not motivated.I worried about us joining WW and her not going.I am finding out that she is that kind of person.Always late and changing her mind about stuff. It kinda drives me crazy but it gets me out of the house and she really is a nice person I climbed "THE HILL" this morning without stopping until I got to the top I can tell I'm getting alot stronger and I went to reach for something and I actually noticed some definition in my arm!I could see muscle![]() YH,Congrats on the 2lb lost You are really doing good for someone with so little left to lose!Glad we motivate you to exercise.I know all of you really help me.If I only had a few days left to live,it would be fried chicken and desserts!Of course it would have to be southern fried chicken because all of the other places around the country that I've been to, just don't know how to season itT,too bad you're still sick I hope you get to feeling better soonC,hope to hear from you today.Maybe the scales will be kind like mine were ![]() D,glad your ds2 is having a good time,he must really like the ranch to be so eager to get back there Your late this morning but I know you will be here shortly![]() Miss A,where are you? I know you haven't forsaken us.We would love to hear some more of your wonderful life SB,We're waiting to hear about your week ![]() |

Good morning ladies! Sorry I wasn't on last nite but my client is getting much more active, which is a good thing as her strength is returning, so I was more tired when I got in at midnite. Plus silly ole dh was napping on the sofa waiting for me to come in & chat for a few minutes.
I stayed the same this week. If I could just get a few hours free to think things thru I think I might switch everything around completely. Had read half an article awhile back about when you have done lc off & on sometimes it will not work for you when you return to it for the 4th/8th/12th LOL time. Course that's probably true w/ all diets. But I know the lack of exercise is really holding me back too. I need to get my whole life schedule re-arranged so that I have chunks of time to myself to do a variety of things. I use to be so organized.... That's wonderful on the 4lbs Harley!!! Doesn't seem to me that dh should care what you do as long as it isn't unhealthy to your body. And that cabbage soup was actually tasty YH if you only ate a bowl like a normal person instead of trying to live off it till you lost 100lbs LOL!! Think I still have the recipe somewhere. And congrats on your 2lbs!!! Seems like ones metabolism gets into the losing mode & keeps burning. Mine seems to be in the hang onto it in case a world famine is on it's way mode LOL I've been enjoying 4 fruits a day as they are so good this time of the year. The calorie count on them is so low. Over Tues/Wed I know my calorie count would have been too high for all the sitting I did. Whatever I'm not up so I can deal with that. For the first time in years I am not always being up & I am working out a lot of the kinks--so what is off will stay off. Ok have to run a load of dh's underwear & get my secret pal birthday gift wrapped. She's 44 today. Think Renee is having salad & pizza. So I can eat salad & pick the cheese & toppings off a slice of pizza. D I loved your good point about being in a swimsuit alone should take my appetite away---boy did I get a belly laugh out of that one!!! Regrettably 5 of us need to loose 80lbs & 2 need to loose 25lbs. Only 1 is thin & she smokes instead. Anyway it's not so embarrassing to be ugly in front of them ![]() Have a great Sat gal's!! |

Wow gals -- congrats to YH on her 2 lb loss and to E on her 4 lb loss!!
![]() ![]() ![]() Awesome, awesome, awesome!! E, I knew if you stuck with it you'd get a big whoosh this week!!!! I'm so happy for you!!!I am so excited for myself too. Finally got to 279!! So that's 2.5 lbs lost this week (57 lbs altogether since February). I am happy -- this was a tough week trying to get rid of the water gain and then some. E, I think you made the right decision about your friend. Support her but don't let her drag you down in the process if you think she's not one to stick with things. Maybe if she hears of your successful week, she'll want to try the low-carb lifestyle with you. Would be better for her Diabetes than the WW anyway, although I think WW is a great weight-loss plan in itself. Remember those lifeguards that wanted me to do a weight loss challenge with them? Well, one of them was feasting on a huge cup (one of those large fountain-size drink containers) full of ice cream at the pool the other day. I am sooooo glad I turned them down before they brought ME down!C, staying the same is better than gaining! (But make sure your front door is closed to the UPS delivery men!!!) ![]() So....talking about your last meals reminded me of a game my friends and I have played before.....if you were on death row awaiting your execution and could have ANYTHING you wanted for your absolute last meal....what would it be?? Mine would be a large New York pizza with extra cheese, 1/2 pepperoni, 1/2 eggplant and for dessert an eggplant parmegian sub smothered in sauce and cheese. I don't care about sweets obviously but I miss the pizza dough and sub rolls!!! I wouldn't mind a succulent lobster drenched in yummy butter on the side too. ![]() Dh and I decided to skip out on the wedding and relax today instead. He's got a Beverly Hillbillies marathon on but promised a wonderful foot and leg massage if I watch it with him, so I'm in!!But before I go, I want to chime in -- you ladies have been my biggest motivators and supporters -- I am so happy I found you all. I KNOW I never would have gotten this far without all of you!! Love ya!! D |
