QUEEN NEWBIES JUNE

Hey hey Queens
Wells its JUNE and you know what that means SUMMER ughhh small clothes *laugh* and vacations...EEEEEK. SO here I am freaking out about Portugal and what people will think etc, Im finding that after reading some self esteem books im loving and appreciating my body, but im also noticing im not so worried about my weight.
which could be good and bad. I don't want to keep cheating here and there and then be 20 LBS heavier so I say for JUNE i will commit myself to eating healthy, exercising and either maintaining or losing 1-5 Lbs DOnt get me wrong im not cured, I still feel chunky and i hate wearing T shirts because of my flabby arms but these are things I must get over!!!!

Well Im back from visiting the husband, I went WAY WAY off plan, i mean BAD BAD BAD eating for one day.So im sure i have gained. Also i got TOM 1 week early which is a NO NO on the pill....so im not sure what is going on there....hopefully it will get back to normal soon.

I walked a lot yesterday since we went to a theme park but im not sure if it was enough for what i ate, im hoping to exercise today but im exausted from the midnight flight i took yesterday. I have to lose atleast 2 Lbs by June 19...or i will be mad..i dont wanna be chunky when i go to portugal especially since my family is soooooo negative, and miles is sooooo skinny...i can just imagine what they will say....

Cassandra: Glad to see your doing well. Im also cheap when it comes to travelling *laugh* I hate added costs, my DH is different he doesnt mind so much. Hope you found what you wanted. and congrats on the loss

Lori: How are you? The puppy sounds cute and sounds like your doing a lot of work which is great exercise Good job on exercising, wish i had some of your motivation right now. So did you get the test? or are we gonna be aunties???? enjoy your kid free week

Good afternoon Queens

well im doing good, eatign on Plan now 2 days and i did some walking yesterday and did some swimming today for 1 hour. Hopefully will do some walking on the threadmill at the gym tonight and some ab roller too. looks like i gained 0.5 inch on my waist and thigh but lost 0.5 on my arms ughhh...so i need to atleast lose the inches i gained. I havent weigh as i Have TOM so im waiting until friday or saturday. I do feel great, I have nice clothes on a size medium shirt and size 9 pants so i feel sexy and skinny . I also trimmed my hair and it looks great I will post a pic of my outfit and hair shortly, I really like the color of my shirt (purple) especially since i usually avoid color *L*

Im going to do induction until my vacation (2 weeks) and see if i can get under 165 Lbs....we will see, wish me luck.
Hopefully someone posts soon and i can respond, posting after myself gets boring after awhile *L*

this is my pink and yello roses below shows the color better

this is my purplish pink lilly.. the plan is taller than my rose bush..

here is our puppy nitro

his pin

his porch

his dog house is inside the shed with a hinged top for easy cleaning.

well I think thats enough for now hu?..lol.

well this whole week ive been going to the gym.. for the last two days ive done the repcor machine (running machine with no impact.. like the eliptical trainer thing) anyways i do that for 2 miles which is right under 30 min.. then the cybex machines alternating legs and arms.. then the tredmill for right under a mile.. for a burn out then cool down.. but its about an hour and a half every day.. so ill probably do this all days except for sundays.. but im hooked now..

we had to spend $380.00 yesterday cause craigs axle and a bunch of stuff broke while he was on his way to meet me at subway.. his tire just colapsed.. well we got the stuff at a salvage yard.. but it sucks.. cause im stressin about money now.. cause we have to get it aligned now and pay the tow truck.. but his work gave him an advance yesterday of 500.00 so our check will be probably 500.00 for bills and groceries.. which i can eat off of my garden.. i picked probably 40 onions tonight and made a stirfry... it was great..

lizett: you look amazin.. i love that shirt.. and your hair looks great.. and hey don't sweat over 2 pounds it aint worth the stress if you think about it i think us stressin about our weight all the time keeps the pounds on cause our bodies are going bazerk..lol... but you look great and who cares what everyone else thinks.. if they don't like how you look.. they can look somewhere else.. im sure you could pick out alot of stuff about them that aint perfect.. anyways.. Ill check in tomorrow.. oh..ya.. i started my mothly at the begining of the week.. but its wierd cause its been really light.. which never happens.. but at least i started.. im relieved..

cassandra..how are you..

Speakign of working out WOW your a exercise machine, Congrats on sticking to it....I sure know its hard sometimes but great Job, Thank You for the compliments

Above is a new pic of me, i cut my hair a bit shorter since it was right at the shoulders and did a xrazy flip thing, so spent way too much on getting it where i wanted it but atleast it looks ok....

Hi Queens,

I have had the worse time trying to get on LCF to post. My virus protector has parental controls and thinks that LCF is a dating site, so it blocks it. I have to use an override code. Well, my override code wasn't being excepted so I had to change the password and reboot everything. I've been dealing with this for a couple of days now...I finally got in...sheesh!

Look at you, Liz, you are VERY BEAUTIFUL! You are way to hard on yourself! I just want to know where you see "chunky" on you? I know exactly how you feel cuz I have lots of days where I can only see my old self. But I have to tell you, you look BEAUTIFUL! To me, you are a natural beauty...now you just have to see it.

On the flip side of that, I can totally relate to what your psychie is going through. My dh side of the family love to point out anybody's weight gain. So before my last trip, I was going through so many head games about how I look. I kept telling my dh that I felt fat and he told me that I was not fat...blah, blah, blah. This is so natural to go through when you have to be around people who are negative and such. I will keep my fingers crossed for you that you can lose the 2lbs that you want to lose. But I do agree with Lori, it probably won't be worth the stress for 2lbs. I can't tell the difference in my body with a 2lb loss....
to you, BEAUTIFUL!

Lori: Those are some LOVELY flowers. You are quite the green thumbs, aren't you! Hey, I wish some of that would rub off on to me . Your flowers looks so nice!

That puppy, can I have him? He is just too CUTE!

Congrats to you on your workouts, you are doing great! I'll bet you are feeling great, too. I have really lacked on my exercise...share your energy, would ya!

Me? I've been really busy lately. And it will only get worse because the move is officially on! I have to be packed and moved so my dh can start work on
July 1st, so that he can get holiday pay. We are headed there for a house hunting trip next week. I am SO overwhelmed by all of the this! Everything is happening so fast, that it's scary!

I'm still not eating fully on plan, the TOM lbs have shown up as expected. So far I've only gained 2, we shall see if there will more more added or if I will only keep the 2 and be done with it.

I still keep my carbs fairly low. I can't handle full carb load at all. I get almost comatose when I have to many carbs at once. My speech gets slurred as if I'm drunk and then a nap is imminent. I am now experiencing dumping from ingesting much sugar in one setting, that is one of the side affects from WLS. I had surgery almost 2 yrs ago and I'm just getting this side affect now...weird, I know.

So for me, with all of the horrible affects that carbs have on me, it just isn't worth it to eat them in excess!

I don't know if I will get FULLY on plan anytime before I get moved and settled. My focus right now is on avoiding bad carbs and making good healthy choices. I won't worry about weight loss right now. I will keep monitoring my weight because I want to stay on top of any scale creep ups.

Well, I'm still doing some house hunting via the internet, so I'd better get going. Hope you all enjoy the rest of the day. I'll check back in tomorrow.

Later Ladies....

Photos: My turn *L*

O.k. so everyone is posting photos. I've been promising photos from my Anniversary trip so here are a couple of photos:

Here I'm at Bass Pro, an outdoor store, in Springfield, Mo

Me and my dh all dressed up and ready for our special dinner that we do every year for our Anniversary.

This is me posing AFTER dinner. My dh forced me to take this photo. The wind was blowing really hard, so I look a mess *L*. I don't like this pic but it is the only head to toe shot that I have. Oh and the boobs aren't all mine , for the first time in my life, I had to stuff my bra . I didn't enjoy the "bigger boob" look.

ETA:

I made two video remixes of our trip, I'm going to put link to it here. Let me know if it works or not. I might have to send them to you in a PM

Here ya go:

WOW im still shocked....the way you keep saying you are struggling and stuff, im still focusing on those BUFF arms, gesh how did you get them like that? i have skin sag a bit and it bothers me a lot.
Funny how your saying im beautiful, but you are beatiful too, I mean your stunning, you look like a fitness teacher/trainer. Love the hair, love the arms, love love everything. you look like you weigh 135...I swear you carry your weight really well. I really think we have some issues here, I think im a ugly chubby duckling and you dont like your head to toe pic, wanna switch???lol

I hope you find a house soon and everything goes smoothly but we all know something always goes wrong *L* I think its a great idea to just maintain and not be too strict it will make it more stressful. Good luck Also your videos are fantastic, my husband did the same for our wedding, maybe I can post it soon Eureka springs looks awesome, i would love to visit a place like that, and the hotel WOWZER!!!!!

Morning Ladies...

Wow Liz, you sure know how to make a girl feel good .

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

You are so sweet . I think for me @ 135 I would probably look sick. My MIL told me NOT to lose anymore weight. My mom has been saying that I don't need to lose more weight for months. They'd die if I were to get down to 135! I'm still going to try and lose more, once I'm settled down a bit after the move.

Honestly though, I wish I could say that my arms are from all of my hard work. I do think some of it was underneath all of the fat. But I think my 6 week program helped A LOT. I too, have saggy skin on my arms but you can barely see it unless I'm holding them out/up or something. I'm planning to do another round of SI6 the week after we move in. I'm going to bump up my exercise for now w/watp and a quick circuit training video a few days a week until the move. I know that, that will help keep my energy up and I will need that in the next few weeks to come.

Liz: Isn't it amazing how we can see things in others but can't see them in ourselves. I didn't even want to post the pics (hence the stalling until now). You and I have a lot of the same issues with self image, it seems. We both focus to much on the flaws that only we see. I guess this is normal for people who have lost a large amount of weight. I'm not sure when my eyes will actually see the real me.

Funny thing is, I think on some levels, that helps me stay on track. I obsess way more then I show to others. I just can't even imagine living my SMO life ever again. I still wake up thinking that someone will take this thinner life that I have now, from me . We will get through this together! It won't be easy but we can support each other through it.... and more

Lori: How are you? How's that cutie little doggie? Hope this finds you doing well.

Today is another day of searching for me. I won't rest until I know that I have a place to stay. I have only 3 weeks to go before we move.....The pressure is on!

Have a good day, Queens!

Cassandra: I agree, we have some similar issues. Iwish i could have known about this before i got down to a decent weight. I thought if i lost 100 Lbs my life would be perfect, now thats funny *L* i have issues i sure know that but im really tring to change my view on my body. slowly im getting better, dont know if i ever will see the real me. i think your beautiful and you do look very thin, i think i look heavier than i am....
Good luck on finding the house you need. Also where did you find SI videos? are they videos???? Im interested for sure

liz: hey on treadmills (before I forget) look and see if it has programs in it.. like the 5 k or anything like that some come with programs so you don't have to buy it. also look and see if it has a place to put your water.. that seems like a small thing.. but once your on it.. its important.. see if it has incline.. and be sure and get on it and walk before ever buying it cause they all feel different.. mine has the shocks on it.. so if i run the impact isn't as hard on my ankles and knees..

well i decided to keep my treadmilll cause on the days i don't make it to the gym i can excersize at home..

what is SI?

cassandra: you look amazing wow.. the way you were talking about yourself i expected something different.. but you are georgous.. and dang girl that close up... enough said..lol... the puppy is doing good.. it stormed last night and he was outside.. I felt horrible.. but there was no way i was going out there.. and he had his dog house.. he was playing this morning.. so he is fine..

we got married at eurika springs.. its really prety but when we were there, they were having a bikers rally and it was supper crowded.. so i didn't like it.. also when i was driving i got dizzy cause of the roads.. and i had to pull over and let dh drive.. lol...

your videos are really good.. i made a wedding video like that..

well i say we all keep posting pictures of ourselfs.. i like seeing them all..

im doing good.. worked my but off this weekend in the yard.. and got everything really nice looking .. then watched part of my tree fall off lastnight.. so i have more cleaning to do later today ..

eating is normally not on plan..lol... but ya when im excersizing my appetite goes through the roof... im trying to loose cause we are wanting to float the illinoise river at the end of the month.. but i don't know if we will get to .. depense on money.. craig seems to think we can swing it.. we will see.. but that means me being in a baithing suit.. and shorts...eek.. my legs are cottage cheese.. right now.. ive always had that problem.. and they are white.. so it make them look worse.. well im gonna get my room cleaned and go check in on the puppy.

Glad to hear your landscaping is going well and so is the adorable puppy. Too bad the tree fell, seems like your having bad weather also I hope portugal has good weather when i go, rain could be a issue ughhh
The SI are those tapes cassandra did just before her anniversary.

Well i better get going, Husband is on his way to pick me up

Time sure does fly, eh?

I can't believe I forgot to post yesterday. I am so busy these days but it feels as though I'm getting nothing done AND it looks like it, too .

Nothing real new to report, I'm still anticipating this flight, this weekend. I'm still in disbelief and really sad because we have to leave everybody that I've been around my entire life behind (Mom, aunt, cousins etc). It will definitely be a BIG step for me, living around my dh and his family. I've never been a fan of theirs, so this may be the hardest thing that I will have done so far in my life. Pfftt... and here I thought having major surgery would be the hardest .

Lori: Aww, THANKS for all of the compliments. It is still hard for me to take compliments and it is worse for me when it comes to SEEING what other people see. I know that I am hyper critical of myself. My dh calls it that A+ student mentality. I'm a perfectionist/over achiever when it comes to my person. I wish that I were that way in ALL aspects of my life...I'd get a lot more done *L*. Probably wouldn't be very well liked though..

I'm sure you will look just fine on your trip, Lori. You need to get yourself a GORGEOUS swim suit and strut your stuff! I have found that if I get myself all dolled up, I will feel good no matter what I think of my body. I find that I hold my head up high when I make an effort to make myself look good. Before any trip I take, I usually make sure my wardrobe is F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S ! If I look good, I feel good! Then all of the thoughts about my body that I have and dislike, disappear. Even at my heaviest I would always "dress my fat up"...try it, it does wonders for your self confidence and esteem! I look at it this way, I can't change my packaging overnight like I'd like to. But what I can do is, put pretty wrapping paper and a pretty bow on it. And make it look fabulous! Can't afford a new wardrobe? Get ONE nice outfit that you like...for one day you will feel like a princess!

You know, dh and I just missed one of Eureka's biker rally weekends. It was called "Ride Rally Ride", I believe. They were literally leaving out of town as we were coming in. I know what you mean though, I don't like the crowded times either. Dh and I are lucky in that our anniversary usually end up, on the end of the "Off Seasons". So we get the cheaper rates and the smaller crowds. It was actually quite pleasant while we were there. I'd imagine that it would have been a MESS w/parking and all, had we waited just one week later.

So did you all stay in one of the B & B's there? If so which one?

Liz: Good for you on the treadmill! I would love to get one but we seem to not have the room for it. Plus I really like exercise videos, I think I'm the type of person who enjoys instructions while I work out. My dh is the exact opposite, he doesn't like exercise videos. He has done SI6 and Power 90 w/me before but that's about it. Sounds like you got a really good deal on your treadmill though, I'm sure it will hold up just fine. Did you get the extra protection plan for it?

SI6, I got from beach body dot com website. They offer several workout programs, I picked SI6 a few years ago. I saw it on an informercial and was intrigued by what I saw. Although, it really does take more then 6 weeks to get the ultimate results but you will get SOME in your first 6 weeks as well.

Hope you had a good time with your dh!

Well, I've gotta run. I'm in search of a large dumpster so that I can get rid of a lot of stuff. I don't really want to take all of this stuff with me. I am going to see this time as time to upgrade.

Have a wonderful day, Queens!

cassandra: well my wedding is kind of a funny story, I was working at the paper (i had a paper route) so right after our wedding, we drove back home which was about 4 hours and then threw the sunday paper..lol.. then went home and went to bed..lol.. so no romantic B&B... i hear they are amazing though.. my sister has stayed in one for her anniversary...

liz: Congrats on the treadmill.. sounds like you have more stuff on your than me.. I really don't know what programs mine has cause i haven't looked..lol.. im usually on manual.. cause im not in good shape so the up and downs would really do me in.. but im gettin there.. gettin stronger..

well I thought i was gonna miss the gym yesterday but i went in the afternoon at 4:00 droped halaynna off in the nursery.. she cried but when i picked her up she was happy.... and wanted to go again today... so thats good.. i hope she just goes in and starts playing.. cause im gonna work my legs out really good today.. i alternate upper and lower..

well i picked some green beans lastnight out of my garden and oh my gosh.. they are so good i could live off of them.. so much better than store bought..

well everything else is fine

we are booking a trip to illinoise for the last weekend in the month.. gonna go float down the river in a canoo or kayak.. not sure which.. we are doing the 12 mile.. so its gonna be a big work out.. i think ive already told ya all this.. but im kinda excited.. anyways.. ill talk to yall later..

Hey Queens
well i ate way too much yesterday including some baked crackers 1 carb each ughhh...but i dod do over 50 mins of exercise Ab roller/ treadmill. I really enjoy the treamill, i find my basement family room is great for the gym. I got a whole decoration planned out. Im gonna do a zen room....cool walls, warm carpet, white trim and some nice accents. I feel very crappy today, my stomach hurts a lot, im bloated and feel sick....which is scary really. I feel VERY bloated and i doubt its from what i ate.....

I exercised 1 hour this morning (swimming) and ill hopefully do ab roller this evening. I got a busy day planned so today is not the day to feel sick. I got two small jobs to clean and then i go home to eat then miles and I wanna go see sex and the city the movie cause its cheap night here.

Lori: I love fresh green beans. My parents have a huge garden so i love picking stuff up sounds like everything is going great for you *hugs* the trip sounds awesome something i would do for sure. Keep up the great workouts.

Cassandra: You sound really busy WOW. Im trying to get all my stuff together for europe next week but man oh man. We are only taking backpacks/carry on Only so my liquids have to be under 100 ML what a pain. Im only taking afew shirts and shoes etc. So i wont look too Fabulous unfortunetly but I sure will try. Its hard to look great when your gonan be hiking and doing really ooutdoors stuff but you know me i will die trying
Good luck on moving, Im sure it will all workout. I like workout videos too but seem to do better with a treamill etc. Especially if i got a TV infront of me...I tend to zone out when i workout *L* makes it pain free almost

Well I better get back to work...hopefully i feel better soon. Im hoping its not tom again...my body is all over because of the Pill. Doctor says its normal.....but if this continues next month i might just say forget it!

It's Hump Day again...

Howdy Queens,

Nothing real new to report from me. You all know what I'm up to, so need to repeat it.

I am dealing with some puffy fingers/feet and such, I'm think it could be due to the warmer weather. I need to get my blood work done for my thyroid meds. I tend to retain water VERY because of my underactive thyroid. I do hate feeling all puffy and such. It truly is a pain in the hiney!

Liz: Yes, hiking would definitely be a hard trip to look "FABULOUS" on. I'm sure *I* could work something out though ...can you tell that I am serious about my "look good/feel good" motto (well actually it is Deion Sanders motto, I just like to use it for myself )?

Your up coming trip sounds like a dream trip for me. I'll bet you will have a really good time, I sure hope you do.

Good on you for the hr of swimming . I don't do swimming to much, that would mess up my hair. I would have to get my "doo" done more often then I'd like to, if I were a swimmer. I'm to cheap for that *L*. I do think it is good exercise though. Perhaps I will get my hair braided so that I can swim more once we move...we'll see...KUTGW!

Lori: Your trip to Illinois sounds great also. I know you will enjoy yourself, just take the advice from my last post....you will do just fine. Promise!

Both of you ladies are about to make me renounce my "Ms. NO green thumbs" title with all of this talk of gardens. And with Lori's BEEEEAAAAUUUUTTTTIIIFFFUUUULLLLL flower pics. I want some garden fresh green beans . The closest I get are the fresh/frozen from the store. I'm sure it pales in comparison to those fresh from the garden. Ahhh maybe I'll try for it next year. I will start out with some tom plants. My mom use to do this all of the time when I was younger. She only had a small garden but I remember enjoyind the veggies from it.

Well I'm off to pitch some things. I've been REALLY slacking around here. We do have some places lined up to check out (living arrangements). I feel a bit better knowing I'm a bit closer to having a place to stay.

I'll check back in tomorrow. Have a great day, Queens!

hey queens

well nothing new to report, i got a HUGE headache and its making me nauseous. I went swimming again this morning for 1 hour. I have also been doing my ab roller everyday so hopefully i look slimmer for portugal. I cant believe i will be gone in a week. WOW. I havent weighed in yet because i got tom again and i feel fatter than usually plus ive been eating more lately yikes...so maybe the pill is affecting me i dunno. We will see.

I found out today that the city wants to close the gym i go to...which doesnt bother me a lot but its the pool they want to close, BASTARDS!!! its a huge beautiful pool and there are no others like it here....good thing i got my threamill..

Cassandra: sounds like your getting your tasks accomplished which is great. I also puff up in humidty...so i look like a blow fish *L* Hopefully you feel better soon.

Lori: How are you? your probably at the gym arent you????

Hey girls.. well Today Ive felt prety sucessful.. sp? got up and after I ate breakfast me and halaynna excersized..lol.. mostly ab stuff cause my gym doesn't have the equipment I want.. at least I don't think they do.. i don't go down where the muscle men are unless my hubbie goes and he hasn't gone yet.. but the thing i work my abs out the most on is the thing that you stand up on.. there is a back rest then you hang there and lift your legs up straight out infront of you and repeat.. well i asked dh if he could make me one.. I told him all he had to do is come out of the studs put a back pad of of an old bench press and my foot stands.. it should be easy enough..

well anyways.. i did full sit ups with my palates band so it wasn't hard on my back i did 4 sets of 20 and then layed on my back and did the leg lift crunch 2 sets of 10 then did the supperman flying thing with halaynna.. for a stretch on my legs...

Im going to the gym at 4:00pm everyday m-f now.. cause i like to do my house cleaning and everything .. in the morning.. plus halaynna is in a better mood after a nap.. and i just don't feel rushed... plus dh can meet me there after work if he wants.. of course wednesdays are his golf day.. so he said he would start tomorrow..

cassandra.. you should definetly try some gardening.. im sure you would be great at it.. it really isn't that hard.. if you check out this site.. they have upside down hanging tomato planters.. im gonna get some for next year to save on space.. Harriet Carter - Distinctive Gifts Since 1958

liz.. ah.. that sucks about the pool closing.. thats great excersize.. id be peeved too.. ill start swimmin once i feel more confy in a swim suite infront of people.

speakin of swim suites i tried mine on this morning.. and im gonna have to add elastic to keep the top up.. its conforatable.. but a little big.. but very cute... ill put pics up after the trip...

well im gonna hop in the shower real quick..later girls
