Flax seed meal 1C
Parmesan 1/3 C
1 1/2 t. garlic powder
1/2 t. salt
1/2 C water.
I mix everything in my cuisinart and spread it on a cookie sheet (Pam sprayed). It takes a bit to get it thin and even so it cooks right but its worth it when you get to finally have a cracker like morsel with cream cheese. MMMMM
400 oven for 15-20 min.
I have played with the recipe over and over. I omitt the salt because the parmesan has alot and its more than enough for me. I have added rosemary and i like that.
I sometimes use chicken broth in place of the water.
Most of the time i cant get them "crispy" but i dont mind. I just add a slice of swiss cheese or top it with some egg salad and im good to go. My kids even like this? That surprises me since 10 and 15 year olds are more interested in the next twinkie that walks by. I have raised my kids to understand McDonalds and fast food in general is not the way to go. They would both prefer a handfull of raw brocolli with some ranch over a bowl of ice cream makes me proud. LOL I have caught them in the garden grabbing green peppers and eating them like apples. doesnt sound all that enjoyable to me but as a mom im not saying a word! O one last thought. If you want a more bread like thickness you can double the recipe and put it in a much smaller pan or baking dish. My first time doing this i added wayyyy too much salt and i had the "bread" slices in a big zip-loc on the counter. I wasnt sure at the time what to do with it not wanting to just throw it away. Well after dinner my husband thought i made him a treat. He came to bed and said "honey i dont mean to be rude but that cake you made sucks" I about died laughing. Well better go for now. I do daycare and my first little guy will be here in a minute. Chat later..... Vicki
