HI all you lovely ladies
What have you all been doing? Hope all is well with you and that the battle is going your way. Hey Mary girl I am not sure what kinda weights you use in the pool. I have a set of dumbells that you would see in any gym. They come in a variety of sizes i think they go from around 2 lbs, then 5, 8, 10, 15,20, 25. I also have a set that has a handle with a a collar on each end that you can screw off and apply whatever sized weight plate you want. As you get stronger u can add more weight. I got those at walmart. I bet Denise knows of a site that can show you how to do an exercise. Sometimes i use youtube and watch a video on how things are done too. Next time you go see your Doc, ask him about it and see if he thinks it is a good idea. I don't want to recommend you doing that without your Doc's approval. Ladies I am now at 200.4 lbs. I hope it is all not just water weight. I am working very hard at staying under 30 grams of carbs per day and lifting heavy. Drinking my water and making sure i take my fiber and vitamins and fish oil.

Eve I have special weights made especially for use in pools. They are light weight and I use them to move my arms back and forth in the water . The resistance with them is strong so I think they are helping my arms some.
I also have some ankle ones to. |

Hello All!
Just wanted to drop in and show some love. Things are going well! I've dropped another half pound and down another inch on my hips. I must apologize to you all for I am not much of a poster. I check into the site to look at recipes and check on friends but I just don't have much to report on a daily basis. My program is flowing smoothly and I continue to lose.. It's easy as pie and that's about it. Boring, I know! But it's so exciting for me because for the first time in my life I don't have to obsess about food or diet in order to lose. It just comes off; I get stronger in the gym while getting slimmer in my mirror. It's soooo great! Hiya, Ms Pcola!! I recommend isometrics. It would require no weights and the chance of injury are nearly nil. Check out this link for more info: ..Yes..it actually Does work!!... Great testimonials, lots of good info; you could literally get enough from that one thread to do the entire basic program, advanced and add in the breathing for the most effective motionless exercise. It's also based on proven concepts; being that isometrics has been used throughout the ages. Even the great strongman Alexander Zass used isometrics to be able to build the strength to do amazing feats. He also had one of the most perfectly sculpted bodies of that time. Sounds like your just humming along, Eve!! Hang in there girlfriend. I know how you feel having a long day but needing to get that workout in. On Wednesday night I actually hit the gym at 11:30 PM! Really needed to hit my lower body and was able to squeeeeeeze it in! Just barely! ![]()

Denise, willl check out that site ok....
I am doing my water exercises everyday and swimming to when I am not to sore, can't kick my legs good enough to swim very good anymore. I grew up swimming all my life and now its been hard for me to accept the fact that I cannot swim like that anymore. I mostly now just glide in the water and move little...The old arms and legs don't move good from all this arthritis I have. |

welcome
Hi there Sarah
Welcome Glad to have you here. I wish it would be getting warmer up here in Montana. All we have been getting is one day of sunshine and rain rain rain the rest of the time. We took advantage of the one day it was nice and took our boat out. I put on sunscreen but still managed to get burned pretty bad. It was an spf 30 too Sad to say it set me back a bit on my exercising. It hurt to bad to work out and sleeping was horrible. I think there is an spf 50 out there. So you just started your low carb woe? I love low carb. I feel so much better on it. It is hard at times especially when you crave all the old junk food. And, i think we all have fallen off the wagon from time to time. The important thing is that you/we get rite back on it. I have stayed on track this week as far as eating no more than 30 grams of carbs per day. I don't think i got in the water i needed though. I weigh in tomorrow to see how well i did this week. I am hoping that even with out the workouts that i have either maintained or dropped a few. We shall see. I have been looking into a whey protein. Doing some research on Glutathione. It is suppose to be a great antioxidant. I will let you all know what i find out. How is everyone doing on their plan. How is the water workouts going Mary? Must be nice to have a pool in your back yard. Denise how have you been doing? Dropping inches still? Susan, what have you been up too? How are you doing? Again, nice to meet you Sarah ![]() Be well all |

Hey guys!
I am still hanging in here. Have stalled for a couple weeks. I journalled my foods the other day and found I am consuming WAY more carbs than I estimated. The last couple days I have stuck with a stricter regime and have finally gotten back into ketosis... LOVE that purple stick! So hopefully I will start dropping again very soon. |

Hey Susan, how many carbs were u consuming before and how many are u consuming now to put u into ketosis? I have never used the sticks before and am just curious about how many carbs that would be?
I love all those sayings you have under your name. They make me giggle. |

I was up to 35-40 carbs daily.
And I was only seeing trace amounts of ketones. I cut out the heavy cream and cream cheese... I really miss them ![]() Now I am keeping it at the induction level of 20 carbs and am in the purple. I lost a pound yesterday too! Eve ~ Everytime I see one of these crazy quotes, I just have to post it! ![]() |

whooo hoooooo Susan, way to go!! Funny how just cutting back a bit makes a big difference huh. Great job!
Now turn around so i can pat u on the back I myself am down to 197.6 lbs. I have not been that low in ages. I am so stoked. I think i have found what really works for me. Hmmm the cream cheese and heavy cream, can you maybe use them more sparingly instead of cutting them out completely? Oh you no, say use them every other day or something like that? ![]() Okay am off to Wyoming to check on a marina down there. Be well everyone and keep up the fight! |

Congratulations!!!
You need to update your profile stats! That is always fun to do! I cannot eat cream cheese in moderation. CANNOT. One once leads to eight...yummm. And I used to put tons of cream in my coffee before I realized it did have carbs and was affecting my cravings. |

Your rite Susan, I updated my profile. Feels great hahahahha. I bought some whey protein today. I hope it isn't too awful tasting. I basically wanted to get the glutathione out of it. It is a great antioxidant. Last day of carb loading. then back on the lc for a week. I have to ask Susan, who is the lovely young lady in you avatar?
Denise how are u doing? I would love to hear what kinda lc dishes you are trying and what ones you like. I am running out of ideas and have tried some new ones to only be disappointed. I did find a great lc pizza that is really really good! If anyone wants the recipe, let me know. Mary whats up cutie? How are u doing? Haven't heard from you in awhile. How is the inductions phase going for you Sarah? Any successes? |

I only weigh in on Saturdays and Mondays. So not sure where I am at yet. Hope to hear from you all soon.
