38-mom of 3, looking for a penpal to share the Oooh's and Ahhhh's of LC'ing
HI,
I guess like everyone else here, I've always had a weight problem, except once when I was 140 & a size 9/10 that was 15yrs ago. Now 15yrs later I need to lose 73lbs . I started LC'ing Jan.2, 2003. I need all the help I can get to keep on going to reach my final goal of being 140 again.I would really like to have someone to share all this with. Support, friendship, a shoulder to cry on. And in return I would do the very same So please feel free to write to me and I will write back. cnolan3695@aol.comThanks and good luck to everyone!!!! Hello to both of you! I'm a 34 year old mom of three daughter---oh yes, and throw in single too! I just started this low carb diet yesterday morning and I'm already going nuts! Probably also has something to do with the fact, that I have dramatically reduced my daily amount of cigarettes; but I have a nice supply of welbutrin to help me along on that one!!! I am a full-time nutritionist and was a bit nervous about this diet. We all know that most doctors and dieticians have nothing very positive to say about low carbing, but I'm inclined to believe that if you use your daily carbs in a positive way and remember to take your multi-vitamin supplement that you will be okay.
Right now, I feel this crazy urge to constantly eat, yet nothing is really very full-filling. I'm going nuts wanting something crunchy and salty and very carb filled! I'm hoping this will pass shortly. I have 25 pounds to lose and I would like to keep it off for a change. I'm looking forward to chatting with you both! DaisyLeigh

Hi -
I'm in the same situation. I'm 38yo, mother of 3 (9, 4 and 6-month-old). I started Atkins on 1/1/03 and have lost about 9 lbs. Thought I would have lost more than that, but will take whatever I can get!! I have another 40 lbs. I'd like to lose. Love to have penpals to share tips and suggestions and support. Keep up the good work!
Don't worry, I think the 9 pound weight loss is great! Just remember, you have to lose 9 pounds before you can lose 40!!! Just hang in there and it will happen. I've seen too many people with my own eyes that were walking success stories to not believe it. It's worth saying goodbye to the biscuits and mashed potatoes!
