A place to call home - for those looking for low carb support

Hello Low carbers!

Congrats to everyone that is working on weight loss in 2008.

I have been up and down with my weight so much, but the one thing that I have learned from all of my mistakes is that support is KEY!

If there is anyone that is looking for a place to call home in this massive bulliten board, I would like to invite you to a thread that I have been hanging out in for over a year. You will find some really wonderful supportive women.

My personal goal is to drop 100 pounds by Nov 8 2008. I have started and quit may times, but this year I am going to do it. Whatever your goal is, drop in and check it out, I promise you will not be lacking in support weather its a weight goal or a personal problem that is creating a obstacle to life or weight loss, this group will help you sort it out and move forward. The thread still says 2007, but we are workin it in 2008

low-carb-challenges: new year new start new me2007

Wishing everyone much success in 2008!

Tracy

Tracey I want to join you with your weight loss. Right now I am aiming for 60 lb. lost. I have already lost alot but these last 60, well I am haviong a hard time losing them. I seem to mess up my eating so much these days and can't seem to get back like I was or rather stay on plan like I once did. I do good for awhile and blow it and I cannot figure out why because I want to lose it so much. It seems like I just keep falling back into my old way of eating and I don't want to.
I know I have to get strick again like I once was or I am never going to lose it.
Losing it means alot for my health. I have bad knees and the doctor is talking doing surgery on them and I don't want that at all.
So lets help each other out here and lose it once and for all.

Hello I'm not Tracy. Just browsing and came across this posting and thought I might join in. I am from El Paso, Texas and have done the on off thing for too many years to count. Finally decided this is going to be my way of life from now on. I have about 100lbs to go. The getting started is the hard part for me, it just seems when you make up your mind, clean out the fridge and cabinets, go and buy the good foods etc... someone decides to have a birthday party or some holiday or celebration comes up and there go all the great plans. Sooooooooooooo another goal to cook during the weekend and start on monday. Why not this weekend you may ask, ha ha it's mother's birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The original poster was inviting people to join a group in Low Carb Challenges called New Year New Start New Me 2007 (even though it's 2008, she said).

She wasn't trying to start a new group here. Y'all should go track it down - I think having a good group makes all the difference!

Hi everyone, how is the weight loss going? I hope you have been doing better than I have.
We just moved into our new house and this move has really got me worn out so I have not been cooking much, just picking up something from the store. I have tried to stay away from fast foods and get me a salad from the deli in the grocery store. Sometimes I am not sure those salads they make are low carb because they have so much on them.
Do any of you ever buy them? what do you think of them?

I am cooking supper tonight and making some meat loaf and steamed cauliflower with butter on it. Got to do better with my eating than I have been doing.

see ya all later.
