QUEEN NEWBIES-OCTOBER



Here were are in the month OCTOBER, a month of new challenges and a new YOU. FALL is here. It's time to forget about the mistakes that were probably made last year, last month, and start fresh with a new resovle to get our goals met....and to those of us who made great strides, let's continue them throughout the new year.

The major food holiday's are just around the corner. It's a difficult time for all of us to maintain goals and stick to plans. The best thing to do is to make/take meals and legal snacks to holiday gatherings so you won't be tempted to eat illegal foods. Being prepared helps you stay on plan.

Today is also a good time to re-read the Atkins book or any other plan you may be following ...to refresh our memory, to remember what worked for us...and to stay strickly on plan. It's also important to remember to drink our water and to exercise.

One of the main ingredients to being successful in losing weight, is to be accountable. Posting daily or as much as you can will help you achieve that. Being supportive and motivating other's will help as well. Journaling is also a helpful tool in helping to keep you on track and accountable.


As always, keep in mind that you are beautiful, important, special and that you deserve the best. Lose the weight for you and not because someone wants you to...Make this year your best one yet Queens....

hey everyone.. how are you.. im really happy.. i surprised my dh for lunch and good thing he was having a bad day.. but im glad i was able to let him vent and he got happier.. anyways.. im doing ok.. i haven't excersized yet today. but me and dh are gonna excersize at 8 tonight.. when we put the kids down to bed.. so hopefully we can keep doing that..

Lori: how sweet of you to surprise your dh? Good for you, I'm sure you more then made his day. And it is always great to have an exercise partner I like to exercise with my dh to. He is so dedicated to exercise, meanwhile I do what it takes to get by *L*.

Liz: How are you these days? Miles back home yet?

Busy day for me tomorrow, kiddos are doing co-op classes on Tuesday. I will check in, in the morning.....night all!

Good Morning,

Im doing ok, im frustrated i lost like 2 Lbs then gained 7 Lbs in 2 days...didnt even eat bad foods really...im not sure if its because ive been weight training or what???? im frustrated i exercised again today...so far im eating well Bran cereal with a banana
The wedding is killing us because we dont want to risk not getting vacation and just rushing and we dont wanna just wait 6 years either...so we opted to see and wait for his november, december etc schedules and when he has a week off (with a weekend) we will take the plunge...I went and tried on dresses I almost cried....MOST HORRIBLE experience ever..hasnt changed much even after losing 100 Lbs. Women are so stupid sometimes....especiallyt o other women..I tried to tell them NO 2000.00 dresses, and a VERY informal dress and NOT white GESH...she basically kept bringing me crazy dresses...I also noticed im almost 2-4 sizes bigger at these bridal boutiques NOT good

Lori: did ya exercise? im glad everything is ok with DH

Cassandra:Yes miles is a pilot so thats why imm usually psychotic HAHA...seriously tho' its hard...he is only home 12-14 days a month and sometimes is NOOO weekends just Like Octobers schedule.
Im busy too, must be the season, We have thanksgiving monday so thats always a busy time....miles is back since sunday but he leaves saturday again for 4 days...im trying to make him a mini thanksgiving dinner before he goes

VICKI OH SWEET VICKIIIIII im so glad your back. I MISSED YOU LOTS *HUGGGGGGGGGGGSSSSSSSSSS* im glad your stress free, thats all that matters

So much has happened since I've been gone. I have alot of catching up to do with everyone's posts.

I've been putting together a plan. I'm ready to start back concentrating on me. I'm ready for things to get back to normal, or should I say...a routine.

Lizett I didn't know you were planning on a Nov. or Dec. wedding this year. No wonder you're stressed. That's natural. Just try to relax and take things in stride.

I've missed you too and I'm glad to be back.

lizett: I did excersize and im sore.. im doing the ab roller thats harder than i remember it being.. and im doing some weights just simple stuff..

I cant figure out an excersize for my tush though..lol..

things are good me and dh is trying to go out of town this weekend money is really tight though so its gonna be hard.. but we need some alone r&r time.. its been forever

halaynna went potty in her potty chair for the first time today.. yaay.. i took pictures and everything..lol.

well ill check in tomorrow and put my weight in arrgg.. not looking forward to that at all

well im still at 150 no surprise there.. i have excersized the last 3 days straight and i plann on keeping it up.. things are fine.. im just really bored not having a job or anything to do during the day.. my dh has gotten an offer at his job to move up which will bring in a dollar more an hour so he will be at 15 so hopefully that will happen soon. He has to study then go to texas to take a test i know he will do good though.. he is a smart cookie. then he is probably gonna do some work with a friend of ours working on cars after he gets off work so that will bring in some extra money also.. im just afraid ill be here by myself all the time.. which will not be good i don't deal with that well.. but we really need the money especially with christmas coming up so we will see. i just need a hobby

Just checking in. I'm slowly getting my apartment together. I still have a little unpacking to.

I've started journaling again and taking my measurements. I also ordered the John Thurmonds 6-week Body Makerover program. It's supposed to show you how to eat right for your body type. I like the fact that I could have fruits and veggies. I know that anything that calls for sugar, I will replace with Splenda. I don't know if altering the program will still be as effective, but I'm trying it that way anyway. I got a 60 day money back guarantee, so what do I have to lose? If it doesn't work, I'll just send it back.

The board has been quiet. How is everybody?

Good afternoon

Im doing ok, went off plan a bit with thanksgiving but not horrible either.
Well i exercised and went to visit miles parents for 4 days. Its been a busy weekend. Im exausted. Im also VERY scared to weigh in I feel like im losing my weight battle and i dont really care....thats not a good sign. im also losing my confidence which is horrible....i complain a lot about how ugly i am and

I found a dress for my wedding.....its a really nice flowy blue with a sash thats a lighter blue. its got little straps...i think i will change it a bit, made get a littlejacket made with it for february. Yup miles took vacation Feb 15-24 for the wedding...unless he gets a week off in november or december which is doubtful. I just want to feel beautiful...this whole my parents being negative and his parents being positive..im scared how our families will get a long

HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH EVERYONE

Lori: 150 is a good weight i believe wish i was 150 keep up the exercise. always helps. Hope you DH gets his raise.

Vicki: I did You on a diet but gained so me freaking out stopped, cheated and now is on no diet...HELP...im pretty much doing a low carb atkins. Hope all is well with you. Glad your back

ok well sorry my last post was short i really needed to clean house after our get away..

DH brother was in a car wreck saturday night.. the other driver died. it was prety bad.. DH brother is fine he had some stiches in his head but other than that he is just brused and really sore.. the other driver and his wife was drunk the guy was the one who died.. but we are hoping that this will straighten him out cause he is really hooked on drugs and stuff like that.. so we will see..

we also got to visit craigs grandmother.. she was sleeping when we got there.. and the way she was sleeping craig thought she was dead but she wasn't she had just taken a vikidin..(sp?) but we got a good visit.. she is so frail and skinny... she doesn't have much longer to live.. but she is ready she kept talking about her funeral arrangements.. which upset craig..

lizett: sorry about all that.. its easy to get upset around your wedding time... especially with clothing.. mine was very upsetting.. but it will all work out.. you will be beautiful. just go have your nails and hair done.. that really made me feel good.. best of wishes to you

Good morning Queens

Well im doing ok, Day 2 on low carb again...i think i need to do a low carb plan but not induction...i think soem fruit once in awhile but not like You ona diet...i also need to eat a bit less...i think i need to focus on portion control and how much im eating and to stop when im full...this is an on going issue.

Lori: I know weddings are so hard. I think cause this is my 2nd i feel a bit different. Alot of people are not happy with the fact that my dress is a blue strapless with a light blue sash. Its very flowy and long....i like it. I know its very NON traditional but i was never into white princess dresses. I think they are beautiful but i dont feel comfortable in them. We are gettign married in a indoor garden and having dinner at a VERY fancy restaurant that was a home (1800's i think). my weddign cake will be a 2 tier and blue (light blue) with white lace markings...so wedding will be lower budget. His parents are helping with the dinner

Vicki: It was so nice to chat yesterday. im glad your back. I think we can do this....I feel frustrated but now its been day 2 on lower carb...more like Ongoing weight loss...I feel a bit better already...not so bloated.

lizett: well mine definetly wasn't traditional.. we didn't even have a cake.. my reception was basically before the wedding my dh surprised me at a little resteraunt with two of my friends.. so it was the four of us and her baby.. but it by far out did my first wedding.. everything will be great.. its not about what other people want its about what you want.. don't worry about making anyone elses dreams of your wedding come true.. if they want they can go plan their own wedding.. and do it again right.. lol... be sure and put pictures up so we can see

things are fine here. i did squats last night and i cant hardly walk today.. but im gonna do them again tonight.. before bed.. this has been my eating schedule

breakfast: cereal honey bunches of oats
lunch: egg sandwich w/cheese & mayo on wheat
supper: depends.. one night was tostodas the next was homemade pizza lastnight.. pizza.. lol.. tonight. i think rice and chicken casserol..

im not really sticking to a diet. .im trying to eat less portions and not as much snacking.. we will see

JUST CHECKING IN, I AM SOME BETTER TODAY, I WAS OFF OF WORK AND I DID LOSTS OF THINGS AROUND THE HOUSE, I CLEANED, AND I CUT GRASS PAINTED THE FRONT PORCH.. AND WENT TO MY GD SCHOOL AND HAD LUNCH WITH HERE TODAY.. SO AT LEAST I DID DO SOMETHING INSTEAD OF SITTING IN THE HOUSE.. GOING BACK TO WORK TOMORROW AND THE NEXT DAY, IN FACT I WILL HAVE TO WORK STRAIGHT THRU NEXT FRIDAY.

Hello Ladies

Just checking in. I got the Michael Thurmonds 6 Week Body Makeover program friday. It seem fairly easy to follow. The first step was determining what body type I was. My type revealed that my body works better with more protein. So basically I'll still be doing lowcarb. The programs shows you how to substitute carbs. If your body type needs lowfat, it also shows you how to do that. There's alot of reading. I plan on starting it either monday or tuesday.

Lizett it seems like OWL is working for you, so that's good. After being on Atkins for so long, it gets harder to lose. Just hang in there, you can do it.

Deb it's good to see you back. I'm glad you're feeling a little better. Things will work themselves out.

Good day queens

Ive been on low carb under 30 carbs for 5 or 6 days now...no ketosis but so far i feel fine. i havent exercise in 4-5 days. I feel exausted and a bit tierd so we will see if i feel like it tonight or not. Ive been planning wedding details and seeing how that goes...its a bit hard since its in a deifferent province and city.
DEB: Glad to hear from you, sounds like you got a lot done. Its cool here too...my furnace is dying on me and so im hoping it stays relatively warm until the end of the month until someone can fix it

Vicki let me know how that plan goes...im frustrated with atkins but its like im scared of trying anything else...i gained on YOAD but mostly it was partially my fault too

hey everyone.. nothing new really to report.. im keeping steady with eating.. eat salad when i have the chance.. im cleaning today..and cramping alot.. so im irratable.. i have to talk to my daughter about some stuff cause she lied to my face friday about something that happened in school and i talked to her teacher about it.. she spit on the floor in the library on purpose.. she came home and said she sneezed and just didn't cover her mouth.. but the teacher thismorning said she watched the whole thing.. so i get to take natalie aside today and talk to her about some consequenses that are gonna happen if it doesn't change.. she hates to excersize so im thinking everytime something happens at school im gonna put her on the tredmill for 15 minutes withough tv.. but i have to do something.. cause she loves reading.. writing sentences doesn't bother her.. and doing chores she is fine with.. so i figure excersizing will mabey get the point acoss.. pluss im gonna tell her that if she is that frusterated at school then her walking on the tred will help release some of that frusteration.. we will see. anyone have any suggestions..

well i ate on plan yesterday and i also managed to go for a 45 mins swim. Nothing new to report...I did one invitation to see how it would look, looks nice, if somehow i can manage i will post one on here. Miles comes home tonight so im excited. Im making him a nice dinner (lemon chicken) he really likes lemon chicken. I found a sauce that i can use splenda instead of the sugar..so its like 2 or 3 carbs..not bad at all.

Deb: Nice to hear from you. I know its hard but you can do it. Its a struggle and i live with it everyday..I really wish i could see 160's again. never had this problem before just in the last year. Im so frustrated....

Hi all!

Good to see you all posting. I took a break because it seemed that you all were breaking a bit also. And then I got busy and just forgot to come over here to check in.

Looks like everybody is doing fine, that's great to know!

Nothing real new for me, kinda been in a funk myself. Dealing with depression here and there so I'm taking it one day at a time.

My Plan? I'm taking that one day at a time too. I've been experimenting with different recipes from the recipe room and some from Linda Sue's site. So far the ones that I've tried were pretty good. I also made a few from a thread about recipes w/3 ingredients or less. I like easy so 3 ingredient recipes are more the appealing to .

Well that is about it for now. Today is my dd b-day and she has made her first, they are hounding me to help finish it up now.

Hey Queens

well i ate on plan yesterday. ate about 24 carbs i believe. I feel really crappy. Im getting sick, ive had nightmares for the last month or so...its horrible. I cant sleep properly. I think i might take the rest of the day off work...its quiet so i hope my dad will let em leave early. Doesnt help Miles and I had a bit of a fall out, nothing to drastic but added to me feelign worse no doubt. Im hoping some rest and some sleep will help. Its hard to try and spend quality time with Miles when he is only home for like 2.5 days each week...and usually im working.
