Thank you so much, and Thank Kab too, for your prayer, we are really going to need them!
My younger sister is so sweet, sweeter than I am, lol. But she has held in their hoping to do what's right for her husband. The kids love their father and it's been by the Grace of God the he hasn't done anything to hurt them. You hear about all kinds of things people do when they are on meth. A Pastor will be there, she happens to be the father of a friend of my sister and her husband. My sister is concerned about what her husband will do after the intervention, if he will get mad, or even leave. I told her he may do both, but that she has to turn him over to the Lord and let Him do His perfect work in him. She's going to have to let him go, as hard as it is to do! I am hopeful, I have been praying for him for along time!! I know that the Lord will touch his heart, I know the Lord is faithful and he loves my bil too. Oh didn't that Father's Letter just touch you, I really love that! I actually printed it out and have posted on my refrigerator at home and at my parents house. I sent that to ChristiansMom so she can read it and posted the website too for her. Well, I need to get back to work too, it's month end, time to go to the Accoutants office and take care of all that "fun" stuff, but I'll be back here to "stir" things up, lol! Love You, LadyRae!!! You are the best! God Bless, Diana ![]()

Hello, again, Princess Di!
You know there will be many prayers for your family, and, yes, I would definitely post this prayer request on the Sistas in Christ. I wanted to tell you that I looked at The Playground and a thread caught my eye. It's called
Christian Gang, and I made a post. I thought that you would want to check it out, also. Then I saw a thread about someone almost losing a cat (something like that) and the second to post on that thread had some disturbing phrases in her signature. If you get time, would you look at it? Sounds like your day will go fast since you are so busy! I am going to make a cheesecake today, a new recipe. It finally dawned on me that by cheating like I did with the candy bar, I am really struggling with cravings. I have heard that it takes about three days to get out of our system, and I have not done well. I thought if I had a "good" dessert, I wouldn't eat something I shouldn't or, at least, too much of anything! Well, I need to some laundry and plenty of other things, as always. I tried to wear out Minnie this morning, but, I think I wore out, too! Of course, she gets to take a nap! I'll check in later, LadiDi ![]() Love ya, LadyRae ![]() ![]()

Yes, I know what you mean! I'm not getting as much done, either? If I haven't gotten to check out this board, I feel deprived! I just want to sit here and check out the whole board, but I have to get up from time to time! ha,ha!
It really has been a good thing because of you, and the support, encouragement and the recipes! I'm so thankful for that! Love ya, LaRae |

Good Afternoon there LadyRae,
I'm back from my little trip to that accountant. That was fun, I got to drive around and listen to Janet Parshall, and some good Christian music. So how is your day going? Oh I hope you read Star123s' thread. I know you can share some Godly council with her. I just ach for her. The Lord is in control of her life, He will get her through this. I need to pm you on something later. As I was driving around, I was talking to the Lord and He was showing me some things that is very about how us, as the body of Christ. I'll share that with you later. Did you work hard today, or hardly work, LOL . I know you do alot of stuff at home. It amazes me how much you do too, you are the Lady that is describe in Proverbs 31:10-31. Read it when you get the chance. You know what, I am so joyful in the Lord. As I pray for everybody, I just sense that He is going to bless those above and beyond what they are expecting! I just love the Lord, He is so good and wonderful to us. Just like you said earlier, how can anyone be mad at God or even say that about Him. You are so right on about that! Oh a cheesecake, my weakness! Let me know how it turns out, and oh, don't forget to try that mock brownie, I think that would curb your appetite. I'm not kidding you! Okay for some reason, I didn't see the post you sent at 9:33. I'm just now reading it. I'm going to that forum right now and check it out, then I'll get back with you. Over and Out! Love ya ladi diana |

Wow, it's hot out there!
What would you do in a situation like this: On my street there is a No Parking During School Hours, sign. It's right along side my house to the end of the street at the opposite end. So when school starts no one is supposed to park in that area, but since school has started one vehicle has been parking there. Then today one more car parked there, and they were right on the sidewalk. You couldn't even walk there. So I thought, this isn't right, because pretty soon other cars are going to park there too then it's going to full of cars. Well, I thought about it and I ended up calling the police to let them know of the illegal parking. When I went home for lunch I called, then as I was leaving for my errand I saw the police car there issuing the tickets. Was I right or wrong to call? The thing that I dislike is the people who park there leave their trash along side of the sidewalk, actually it's our property still, the encroachment area. I think that's what it's called. I believe I made the decision, for the very reason I said. Would you have done that? I'm so tired from all that running around, but I still have things to do. We're the ever ready Bunnies. Okay, I'm not making sense now am I, lol. I'll be around! Love, LadiDi the daughter of the King! ![]() |

No wonder I never saw it before! I have just noticed it lately, and now I know why! I guess that I have been a member for about 69 or 70 days. How many days total until you can post on it?
What thread was Star123's on? I am not the Proverbs 31 woman by a long shot! She is perfection! My cheesecake turned out well, but it was not quite what I expected. I thought it would be a little more cakelike; it's creamy and good. I just thought that the way they described it that it would be more like a New York cheesecake. I added the almond flour/flax meal crust and baked it in a springform pan. Believe me, it will be eaten! I will try the mock chocolate danish next; everything sounds good. I read on one of the recipe threads that LindaSue and some other LowCarbers only use Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese because it is lower in carbs. I have always used Great Value brand because it is cheaper, but I have noticed that it has 2 carbs per 2T. or 1oz. LindaSue said the Philly has less or zero, I can't remember, but less definitely! I need to place an order with Netrition, too. I'm sure that you can find a lot more than I can, but I like Netrition. Their shipping is reasonable, and I have received the order pretty quickly! I need to close for now. I am doing well today! How about you? Did you lose anything this morning? You little "whippersnapper"! I don't know why I felt like throwing that in! Love ya, LadyRae |

Hi, I know you got to go me too.
Star123 is on the Faith Based forum. I hope she is doing okay. Your cheesecake sounds good, doesn't matter what it looks like! Actually the Phili cream cheese is low, that's what I buy too. You know I'm not that much younger than you are, I bet Im very close to your age. Besides, we are only as young as we feel, and I still feel like I'm in my 20's sometimes. I wouldn't want to go back to those times anyway, I love where I'm at. Okay, maybe I'll catch you here later? Love ya, The LadiDiana ![]() |

You always post while I am still working on mine!
I am so slow; I do my post in segments!
![]() I think that you were right to call the police. They obviously saw the sign and chose to disregard. There is a reason for that sign, and they should respect authority, which I am seeing less and less. I was going to put an editorial in The Baptist Messenger about speeders, including Christians. I think it is a terrible problem and most Christians don't even realize that they are to respect authority. The Baptist Messenger revamped the weekly paper, and they don't take editorials any longer. Kab and I stay at the speed limit or even below, and, of course, everyone flies around us. It drives them crazy! In other words, yes, you did the right thing! I think I will try to load up my shopping cart at the Netrition site; it's not hard to do! I hope to talk to you again tonight. Love ya, sweet thang! ![]() LadyRae ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Goodnight, LadyRae!
I hope you have a sweet sleep. I'm finally going to bed myself. I kept wanting to send you a post, but would erase it. It has to do with some things that I've been reading here that I'm concerned about, but I'm not sure how to how to express it. So I'll leave it to the Lord whether He wants me to say anything or not. I would like to share it with you, but I don't want you to think I'm coming across in a way that I'm not being. Well that may not make sense, but maybe I"ll PM you tomorrow. Sorry to keep you in suspense! Talk to you in the morning, Love, LadiDi ![]() |

Good Morning!
How's LadyRae doing?
What's on the agenda for this morning, anything new and exciting? I have some things to do after a bit, but I am able to talk for awhile, and then again after I get done. I usually always have this open when I'm working, although I'm not posting. I'll read others and see what's going on with everone. It's hump day, and I'm so glad it's Wednesday too. I was watching our news and they say we may get some rain this weekend, I'm believing for that! I hope you get rain too. Well, the scale didn't budge again. I'm okay with that, as long as it's not going the wrong way, right. Oh my gosh, yesterday I got into this sweet tooth fest, I don't know why either. I was watching this show on the Travel Channel and the guy was showing chicken fajita's, so I told John that I could make some using low carb tortillas. Did that. Then after that show, the showed another one called, Top Sweets, or something like that. So they showed Krispy Kreme doughnuts, then Hersheys chocolate, then ice cream and then another sweet thing. So when I saw the chocolate I wanted some, I went and got a couple of those mock brownie pieces. They were satisfying of course, and chewy and chocolaty, ummm! And it that wasn't enough, after posting and reading last night, I wanted something else, so I ate the rest of the sf lc ice cream I had. The scales didn't move, but I don't think I'll repeat that again. I always say that don't I. I think I'm going to buy some Atkin bars, the double chocolate kind. I guess I'll check in with you in a while, I'm going to see what's going on around here. And I'm still going to PM you, but I'm just waiting. God Bless, Diana ![]() |

I didn't get to post again last night because Kab got home about 7:15pm or so, and he had picked up some things at Wal-Mart for me since he was in Enid to help someone move. By the time that I got things put up, and we talked and played with Minnie (he got her some of those foam balls and a bunch of little mice), we were all tired. The "big girl" are staying outside almost all of the time; I am sure because of Minnie. I really hate that; I don't see them much. Hopefully, as she grows up, they will accept her. I would like to find a good home for her, but I doubt that I will. Of course, we get so attached!
![]() You do have my curiousity aroused about what you were wondering about posting. I hope that I haven't said anything that you are having trouble with. If so, please tell me, and we'll discuss it. I am going to try to get the hallway painted today before Kab gets home because I know he is wanting to get some yardwork done. We are behind since we have been painting, and last week was so hot. Not much other news from here. There are a lot of people trying to recover from our weekend rain from Hurricane Erin, and now I'm sure there is a lot of devastation from Hurricane Dean. The Baptist Convention offers disaster training all over each state and in a variety of cities. If Kab was retired, we would love to that. Wouldn't it be great to be able to go to those places and help? I think of all the rich people in this world and what could be done with that money. Some aren't very happy, are lonely, but if they would help others, it would help them. I did well yesterday, but it is going to take me several days to get back to where I was. I don't think that I will do that again. I, also, like some of those Endulge bars. There is one, especially, that is similar to a Baby Ruth, and then there is the one that tastes like a Mounds bar. I need to get some of those, too! That helps a lot! Praying for rain for both of us and for the intervention this weekend. When will it be? I can keep praying during the intervention. I have a quote that you will like: "Talk low, talk slow, and don't say too much." ---John Wayne Just for you, LadiDi, because you are a lovely lady! Love ya, LadyRae ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I forgot to tell you that I posted again on The Playground, the Christian Gang thread, and I told about myself and what I believed in detail. I am curious as to the response; sometimes Christian Boards are rather "generic" if you know what I mean. I won't apologize for posting it, though. At least, someone will have read it, and if they aren't a true believer, maybe they will think about it! Sure hope so. I will let you know what response I get. Can't wait until you can post on it.

Good For You!
I have so many things to say, oh boy do I!!
I hope you are able to get your painting done before Kab comes home, that would great! Just don't forget to eat, because that's what helps our metabolism going in order to lose weight. ![]() I'm glad you stood your ground and proclaimed your beliefs, that is what we are supposed to do. I have read some "different" post on here where those think they are professing a Christian faith. I don't think so! Like you said "generic". Okay, I just had another of many discussions with my parents about what a sin is. Since they go to Catholic church, the believe that there is only a "mortal" sin. I told them that any sin is all the same to God, but they think that murder is the worst sin there is, and everything else is a lessor sin. My dad always talks about adultry, and say's as long as he stays away from that he will be alright. He say's that he is a good person! I said that there is no one good except God, and that if he thinks he is good then he has no need of a Saviour. He said God told him that he is good. I said well, you're better than I am! I told them that Gods' word will stand forever, not what the Catholics say, not what the Baptist say, not what the Presbytarians say, or any man, it's Gods' word. I have had this conversation with them many times, and always the same conclusion. I have to stay strong and believe that the Lord will permeate their hearts so they can see the truth. Yes this weekend, Sunday is the intervention. Thanks for praying for us!! I know what you mean about helping those, but I guess we can help by giving something to them, whether it be financial or otherwise. I'm with you on that too, I would love to do that as well. Little Minnie!!! She sounds so sweet everytime you talk about her.Okay I'm going to stop so you can digest this, haha! I'll get back with you in a little while. Love Ya, Ldidi ![]() |

Hi again?!
One more thing for you to ponder. In this discussion I had with my dad and mom, they have this thing with the "mortal sin". They tell me that it's in the bible about murder being the worst sin there is. I said that in the natural it is, because we have to obey the laws of the land, but to God a sin is a sin. And the we need to repent everytime we sin. My dad say's if we didn't sin then we wouldn't have to repent, I said true, but we are human and we will sin, that's why repentence is very important. I said that I do everyday. So he is making it seem that he doesn't need to repent because he doesn't do anything. He also thinks that a lie is no big sin. Okay I'll let you look at this too. Love, Diana |

I agree with you!
I, too, have a lot of problems with the Catholic beliefs and others. I know what you mean by going up against them! Kab's parents are so ingrained in their belief, in fact, cults, sects, and other wrong beliefs are very narrow-minded. They don't read or get "outside" of their church; they aren't open to reading anything else. The Bible tells us to be discerning and read the Bible for ourselves to KNOW what we believe. Everything that you said was so true; only Jesus was perfect and without sin. The mortal sin or "the unforgiveable sin" is to keep turning away from the prompting of the Holy Spirit until one's heart is hardening so that he can no longer respond. That person is doomed. Isn't that a horrible thought? The biggest problem that I have with the Catholic church is the Pope. He is just an ordinary man, who, in my opinion is trying to take the place of Christ. All we have to do is to pray through and in Christ to God. Then their worship of Mary; although she had the honor of giving birth to Jesus, was human like the rest of us.
I know how frustrating it is, and you keep thinking that they are going to hell, so I have to convince them. I did hear a Bible teacher say that you let someone know what you believe and why, then God does the rest. I think it is more difficult for them to change their beliefs than to come to salvation from unbelief, don't you? If mortal sin is in the Bible, then it was under the law and to the Jews. What many people get confused is that Jesus came to fulfill the Law, and he came "first to the Jew, then to the Gentile". All of the Bible is for us, but it is not all TO us. The Church of Christ quote Acts 2:38 the most which says "repent and be baptized". Until Acts 9, when Paul started preaching, everything was for the Jews. After the resurrection and Paul's gospel, it is faith and faith alone. Works cannot get you to Heaven; nothing man can do can save us. I think it is preposterous for man to think so highly of himself that we can save ourselves. Boy, you got me on a roll, didn't you? Are we in agreement? I guess that I will get back to my painting. I still haven't placed my Netrition order, too. My e-mail, Outlook Express, is so weird today. When I first tried to look at it, the message below takes up almost the whole space. I can't see what messages I have without just deleting the one it is on and reading the next, deleting it and so on. Ever had that happen? I'll pray for your parents, as well as your family this weekend, of course, and I ask that you pray for my son and his girlfriend. Thank you! I will check back; I think that we believe the same. In Galations 5, it reads that if a man tries to earn salvation by something he has done (works), then it profiteth him nothing. I believe that it is faith plus nothing, just simple belief. On the cross, Christ said "It is finished." There was nothing left to do. Certainly nothing that MAN could do! I have to stop!!! I hope that you have a nice lunch; what are you having for lunch and dinner? I'm still thinking about it; I'm not sure. Talk to you again in a while! Love ya, love ya, love ya! You are so sweet and funny! Listen, I agree with you about everything, 100%. I like that you know Gods' word, otherwise I serioulsy don't think I would be talking about the Lord with you. He gave you His wisdom and knowledge and it's very apparent. Thank You!!! I love that you understand the NT, and the works of Paul. I find that so interesting because I have so many questions about his ministry. But for another time, or when you have time. See this is what I love to do, talk about the Lord. For lunch I am having for, hmmm, a salad with maybe tuna. Dinner will be some zucchini, yellow squash sauteed in olive oil and butter and probably the left over chicken thighs. Or maybe some broccoli, but I don't know what to do with broccoli. I guess I'll have to check out LindaSue's again. Okay, I'll let you go again, sorry I love talking to you! Love Ya, ladidi ![]() |

Thank You for your reply!
I'm not all there yet in the Lord, but He is all we have and if are not going to trust Him then what are we doing in this life! Okay enough of that, I'm sorry to go on, but at least you know your stuff. Oh, I like that John Wayne quote! I have a favorite one from the movie, Big Jake. JW is talking to his sons whom he hasn't seen in years, his sons' think he left because of a women and starts badgering JW. Well JW say's "you won't heart that from your mother", and then JW says, to the same son (my favorite quote, heehee) "Your short on ears and long on mouth". I crack up everytime I hear that. Okay, I know, I'm taking your time. I'll talk to you later! Love Ya, ladidiana ![]() |

I was painting and thinking and painting and . . .
I wondered if your parents get upset when you try to talk to them. I know that is so difficult. My dad used to just change the subject. After he died, I asked mother if she thought he was going to heaven; whether he had accepted Christ. She said she didn't know, and my first thought was "well, why didn't you make sure?" and then I thought "why didn't I make sure?" Before he died, I lived in the mountains for 7 years, so I wasn't there very much, and I wasn't as far along in knowledge, either. I know Kab regrets not knowing more back when his dad badgered him all of the time about Church of Christ. I am so thankful that he questioned his "beliefs" and sought the truth.
My other great thought was that God may have led us to this board to edify each other (I know you build me up and encourage me!) and to be able to speak up on the Faith threads, and eventually, both of us to post on The Christian Gang thread. We can straighten everyone out! Just kidding! I am almost through with my top of the molding painting, then except for touching up the white trim, I'm done! Praise the Lord! Thank you, LadiDi, for feeling free to discuss all of this with me. I love it, too. I want to learn more; people just don't realize that there is so much in the Bible. I could go on and on, but I HAVE to stop for now, anyway! I love you, too; you're just great! LadyRae ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I hope you didn't forget to eat, it's so important! Oh yes, I can see them getting upset because I have more knowledge in the bible than my mom does. Even though people read it, and my mom has said she reads it when she wants to fall asleep, that doesn't mean she understands it. But I just rejoice in the Lord and know that one day they will come to know His truth. I'm definatley looking for the day when I can get on the Playground!! Yep everyone lookout, lol! K' talk to you later! You,ldidi |

Hi LadyRae,
How's your evening so far. Did you eat dinner yet? I'm making it right now, I 've got a yellow squash casserole in the oven right now. I think I over bought squash and I need do so something before it goes bad. I'll let you know how it turns out. I found it on the Recipes here. You know what I don't like, it's parmesan cheese. I don't like the smell or the taste. But this recipe took it and I used it. Oh if you make that Diner Potatoes, make sure to look at LindaSue's notes on the bottom about not using the amount of salt it calls for. I forgot and used the original amount and it came out a little too salty. Just FYI! Oh, I was reading this guys blog in the journals, and he said he drinks this protein drink, they sell it at Netrition. It's called Cytosport Muscle Milk, and the flavors they have, oh my gosh they sound delish! If we get that we could substitute one of those for a meal. It's under the drink mixes in Netrition. I think I'm going to get one, it's the Chocolate Banana Crunch!!!! It was a toss up between the CBC, Blueberries and Cream or Strawberry Banana Smoothie. I wonder if they taste good! Oh and thank you again about making a comment about my picture in Sista's. I am embarrassed because I never liked my picture taken. Good thing you can't see me from the neck down, LOL! That's what I'm going to say when I thank Berta, heehee! About the conversation with my parents, I'm not embarrassed of feel ashamed or anything when I talk about the Lord to them, because I know that because I know the truth, I can't withhold that from them, you know what I mean. I have to tell them or it's on my head, so to speak. And then we're all good after that, no hard feelings. I so believe that we were meant to know each other, I really do! We believe the same way about the Lord and you just surprise me when you start speaking, I'm like Whoa, this Lady knows her stuff!! I love it! We will reach to those the Lord leads us too. I don't answer all who write, only those the Lord leads me too, and I know you do too. It's great isnt' it! Regarding your Dad and Kabs', it's very hard to talk to someone who doesn't want to hear the truth. The thing is when we have done what we could, then it's in the Lords hands. Who knows it we are the ones to witness to them anyway. Sometimes the Lord puts others in their path, one's who they will hear. It is hard to witness to family members, I've heard that from famous Pastors and Teachers. And I agree with you, if your are not knowledgeable in that are, then you don't know what to say or how to go about that. I have memories of family members who I wish I would have said something, but it's too hard for me to even talk about. Well, LadyRae, dinner I suspect is about ready and John is home, so maybe I'll catch you here later, yes, no?? Okay, bye for now! God Bless, Diana ![]() |

John 10:10
GOOD MORNING---
![]() How are you doing this morning? I'm doing pretty good, still haven't lost anything yet, I'm still at 210. I have to bear down and do something here. I didn't eat ice cream so I was hoping that would help, will see! Listen, sorry for sounding off to you yesterday. Ahh, I just need to show some grace towards others. Last night I got into a forum in the Faith Based and there was thread that was about what kind of bible do you read. I thought oh this will be good. Well it sounded like some on there were debating on something not even related to the thread, mainly about religions. It was interesting. I added my 2 cents worth and then some! You know me, I have to defend the Faith!!! Oh that yellow squash turned out really good! I thanked the person who came up with it and let her know it was good. So have you been eating your salsa. I was thinking you could probably toast ups some low carb tortilla's or toast that bread you eat and use it to dip it in. Oh you know what is good too! Pour some salsa on a block of cream cheese and use it as a dip with veggies. That's really good. Umm, celery or cucumbers, bell peppers. I'm getting hungry again, lol! I'm not sure how many carbs are in the salsa, not many I would think. So what are you plans for today? How's the painting coming along? Did you finish, or do you still have more touch-up. Well, I'd better go so I can do my hair and get ready for work. Oh one more thing, when are you going to post your picture too? I want to see YOUR beautiful face too!!! Think about it! Okay I'll talk to you when I get to work. Love Ya, Diana ![]() Last edited by Determinedtolose; 08-23-2007 at 07:04 AM.. |
