How about Lady Di and Lady Rae?

After all, we do belong to the King!
I have had a very busy morning, also. I told you that our cell phones weren't working, and the battery is low by 11:00am. Well, we were going to get groceries at the Wal-Mart in Stillwater when we were there on Saturday. I happened to call my bank before we went in, and the bank said I was over $300.00 negative! Obviously, we didn't get groceries! As soon as we got home, I started looking to see what was wrong because I showed over $400.00 in my account. To make a long, boring story short, when I sent my monthly check to Lamb and Lion Ministries (David Reagan), instead of writing $20.00, I wrote out the check for my balance at that time, $745.70!! I cannot believe that I did that! Of course, I cannot call because of the bad phones! I'm making this a drama, aren't I? I went outside, nothing. So I got in my car and drove around and finally got through to both Lamb and Lion and the bank. The financial person, Gary Byers was in a devotional meeting, but I talked to David Reagan's daughter, Rachel. She was so nice (although she said my call was breaking up), and she would have Mr. Byers call me back. Anyway, by 11:00am, my battery was low so I had to plug it in. I happened to be near my phone as I was hanging up some laundry, heard it beep telling me I had four voicemails! It never rings. Gary Byers left me a message telling me that he would have a check in the mail today and suggested that I talk to the bank and see if I could get the insufficient charges taken off after I explain what happened. He was very nice, also. I was told at the bank that after I receive the charges (ouch!) I can call back and talk to a supervisor, which I will do. I still can't believe that I did that, but, thank goodness, I sent it to a ministry that would make it right. I am going to send a thank you e-mail for handling it so well.
My devotional this morning said "No matter what our situation may be, we need never despair because Christ is alive." Scripture always speaks to us, doesn't it?! The devotional we are currently using is "Unto the Hills" by Billy Graham. Love it.
We were both up a pound, and we both know why. Last night, what I had planned to have didn't pan out (I hadn't gotten groceries!), so I fixed some chicken tenders that I had in the freezer, and, (gulp) they were 3 carbs each. I ate too many, and I had too much cantaloupe! It was getting too ripe, so I needed to get it cut up. I do better when I plan ahead which I have been until last night. I almost didn't get on the scale, but I couldn't resist. We will be back down if we eat right today. I don't worry about it as long as I am staying on this WOE. Portion control has always been my problem. Eat one cookie, and then I will eat all of them and look for something else. It's like a fire is lit, and now I know why. This WOE helps with hunger, and I don't get cravings which is a first, so great! Every day I am so thankful to have started on the Way of Life, to have found the LowCarbFriends Board, and, most of all, to have you for my pen pal!
I feel as though I can write anything, and even if we don't agree with each other, we can share our feelings, etc. I KNOW that we are going to make our goal, at least. Have you noticed how many posters weigh less than their goal weight? We are going to get there!
Thanks for that link. I probably would never have looked at the links on LindaSue's website. I will be sure to look at it.
I used to collect cookbooks, but lately, I have been cleaning out everything. I sent all of my cookbooks (nothing valuable) to the thrift shop except
my low-carb recipes (I still have to find a binder) and a few low-carb cookbooks. I also kept some special cookbooks that had been given to me. My favorite two cookbooks were put out by The Junior League of Oklahoma City. I used those two more than any other.
One other thing I wanted to mention to you was about the Koreans that the Taliban is holding. They did let two women go because they were sick, but I hope people are really praying for them. The news doesn't really say that they are Christians, but they are. The Baptist Messenger, a publication that we receive weekly, had a big article about them. Breaks your heart.
Have you ever read Foxe's Book of Martyrs? I have always wondered what I would have done in some of the situations that other Christians have been in. Would I stand strong for my faith? Some were so horribly tortured, and, yet, they never recanted.
Kab is reading a book that you would like. It's a book that Les Feldick has mentioned on his program, not pushing the sale of it or anything, Kab ordered it through Amazon, I think. He is just a big reader and loves history, the Jews, etc. It is "From Time Immemorial", and I can't think of the author's name. Kab has it with him. It about the Jews, etc. Les was reading from the Bible and telling how much land God actually gave to the Jews. With the Jews flooding into Israel, you think where are they putting them? One day, they will have all the land they were given.
I need to go, or you are going to have to use your lunch hour to get this read!
Talk to you later! Hope that you day is going well!
Love, Lady Rae

How 'bout that!!!

Page 6 already. Have we written that much!

Yes, I love our names! We are Royalty like you said, daughters of the King of Kings!
Wow were do I start; I do like those type of books like what Kab is reading, I had ordere a few of them myself from Amazon. One in particular, I wish I could remember the name, oh yeah, it's called The False Prophet, by Ellis H. Skolfield, It's very good and it makes you think too.
I love reading about Jewish history and the Church history, also about bible prophecy.
I like reading but it has to really interest me.
I'm going to check on that Foxe's Book of Martyr's online and see if they show anything.
I know what you mean about going through things like that, can we endure it? Our Korean brother's and sister's are going through alot right now and they do need our prayers. I'm so glad you brought that up.

Isn't the Lord good! I bet if you had written out a check to a secular place it would have been harder to get that taken care of.
I'm glad it's straighten out. I almost did that one time, but just transfering money from one account to another. I wanted to transfer $100.00 and accidently put $1,000.00! When the automated voice confirmed what I did, I quickly cancelled, and started over again. It scared me for a second. LOL

Oh I started a new thread on the Atkins 72. I just wanted some answers to comments I've read about doing Atkins. It was confusing me. especially a comment that Cindy made on Cindy's Corner.
So when you have time check it out. I hope I got some responses to it.

I know we are going to lose this weight. We have come too far not to. I know we can draw our strength from the Lord and He will help us.
I am determined to lose, just like my name say's! As long as our clothes feel better, that's what counts. I just want to look decent during the holiday's because that's when I see everybody, and I mean everybody. All of John's side of the family, who I haven't seen in a few months. It will be interesting !
And you are going to look beautiful too! You will and you are!

Well I think I'm going to check that thread out and see if anyone posted. I'll touch base with you after awhile and see how you're doing, okay.

God Bless,
Diana

Hi Lady Rae,
How's your day been for you? Did you get alot accomplished so far? I know Kab is probably home and you can't talk now but I wanted to tell you something.
I was in the faith based forum, and I love what you said in the Alone thread. You have a way of words that minister without sounding preachy. I thought that if anyone reads what you said it has to move them.
I think your are such an awesome person and an inspiration. Keep ministering, that's your gift!!

God Bless!!

Bless your heart, Lady Di!

It is late, but I had to read your posts before I went to bed!
I do think that the phones we got will work. Our last phones were Motorola, and they worked well for us. These are Motorola, also. The first salesman wasn't as good as the guy we talked to tonight. If he has just been more knowledgeable, we wouldn't have had to make a second trip, and he was the manager!
After we left Alltel, we went to get those groceries at Wal-Mart which wasn't too busy, actually. This was a fairly new Wal-Mart with the wider aisles, and it was cooler than ours (temperature and better!). Our Wal-Mart gets so stuffy and hot. We didn't even stop to eat because it was late, so we just got a diet drink and ate some nuts. It was after 9:00pm when we got home, then Kab unloaded while I put up the groceries, took care of the "livestock", took a shower, etc. and here I am! We are tired.
I have a Dr.'s appointment in the morning at 10:00am in Enid. I didn't know if I had told you that or not. When I get home from that, hopefully around noon, I am not going anywhere the rest of the week! I was supposed to go to Ponca City to meet with my mom and her friend, Betty, the one who just lost her husband, to help her pot some plants. She asked my mom if it wasn't too hot, and I had to agree! She keeps her house so warm, too, so I am rather glad about that. I did, however, look up a bunch of info. for her on the two plants and e-mailed to her. Hope that helps her until we can get them repotted, etc.
Do you ever listen to Rush Limbaugh? I love to listen to him, but I can't seem to pick it up in the house, and when I try to watch him on the Internet, my security stops it or something.
I love reading a good book, too, although I never seem to have enough time. The one that I am currently reading is The Worst Hard Time by Timothy Egan. It's about the Dust Bowl Days and those that stayed and endured. Only one-third left. It has been fascinating to me to learn why it all happened and how the people had to live. Pretty amazing.
Thank you for your nice complement about my post on the Alone thread. I need to go back and re-read it. I would like to read and post on the emotional well-being and faith-based support, well, mainly, the faith-based support. I'm glad that you are able to do that. You always come across so caring, and your love of God comes through.
If you don't mind me asking you, what other boards do you post on?
I do know what I am having for dinner tomorrow night. I bought some roast beef slices and provolone cheese. Wouldn't that be good in a wrap with mayo, lettuce, a little tomato, etc. I am a little hungry, can you tell?
I was just going to type a short post to let you that I would be leaving for the Dr.s appt. in the morning, and here I go!
I just pour my heart out to you. You are so right about having to do with a secular company on my crazy error. The financial person, Gary Byers, called me back and was extremely nice. What a nice difference.
My eyes are starting to cross, so I had better shut this down. Just think, you will be up in a few hours! When you get up, there may still be some meteor showers. I think that last night was the peak, but between 4:00am-6:00am in the northeast, I believe. Sometimes it peaks between 2:00am-4:00am. I love meteor showers; some are better than others.
I hope your day went well, and that old extra pound plus more is gone in the morning! Missed you! Love ya, Lady Rae (I feel so special!)
I hate it when your light is out on the posting board.

Lady Di, I just checked the Alone thread, and no one has posted since I did. I wonder how to take that?! I hope that I didn't upset anyone . . . oh, well!!

Hi Lady Rae,
Wow, what a long day for you! I guess the only drawback for where you live is the travel to where you need to go. But when you don't, it's pretty nice where you're at.

I'm glad you got everything worked out with the cell phones. It does make a difference when you have someone who knows what they're doing. Did you get a really cool looking phone, that takes pictures? That's how I took that picture of myself, using my cell phone, then sent it to my email and then down loaded to this site.

You I think that's why I love watching the movie The Grapes of Wrath, because I believe it takes place during that time. I always wonder how people survived at that time. Did the dust bowl have anything to do with Global Warming? lol If that happend now, you better believe that some will blame it on GW. Oh, we were watching Fox News, and Sean Hannity had a couple of ladies who are GW alarmist that are partners with actor Leonardo DiCaprio. I guess he is a big time GW person trying to get people to not use their big vehicles and so forth. Well Sean Hannity told those ladies that until Leo can set an example by not using his big jet to travel, etc then others can see that he's serious. You know what I mean! The want to tell others not use this and that, yet they do worse by not using the same means.
These ladies couldn't even say a thing, totally dumbfounded!

Okay enough of that garbage, lol.
About your post, yes it was very good, but don't worry if no one has replied yet, they will! It takes time for people to absorb words like that especially when the Lord is involved. Know what I mean? I just let it go and allow the Lord to speak to their heart.
I don't post to too many forums. I think when you and I were posting in the very begining, I was posting to a person who needed a buddy and the thread was there for awhile and no one posted. I feel bad when that happens because you know it was being read because of the number of views it had. So I posted and soon a couple of other people did too. Well, now I do whenever my name is mentioned or if some loses. I like to encourage people, well you know that. And I do sometimes on the "Sista's". Just depends if someone needs prayer.
But here is where I feel most comfortable to say anything. I know others may read this, it's okay. I hope they gain something from it.

I stayed up until 9-ish last night. I wanted to see who got their own restaurant on Hells Kitchen. It was the guy, which I figured he would. Then I went to bed.

So now this morning I'm going to weigh myself and then eat. I woke up hungry this morning!!
Well, I guess I'll go for now, I'll write more later today when the sun comes up! LOL
God Bless,
Diana

Good Morning LadyRae

How is everything so far? What a beautiful morning we had here. I woke to the sound of thunder, and what a beautiful sound that was!
We got some rain here, Thank You Lord!!!
When I went to my parents house at 7, there was a beautiful breeze and I kept thinking how I would love to be able to sit on a porch if I had one and just kick back and read. I have so many day dreams, I just keep them tucked away. lol.

I just made the minute chocolate cake except I quadrupled the recipe so I can share with my mom and sister. It smells good, I hope it taste good!
I used the dark chocolate unsweetened powder because it has less carbs, plus it's better.
My weight is still in the same place. I was thinking about the last time I was trying to lose weight and my body did the same thing by fluctuating between 1 and 2 lbs, then I lost. So I'm not going to worry about it, I'll just keep doing what I'm doing. The thing I'm not doing too much is adding carbs slowly. I'm eating more vegetables only, but not so much of anything else.
I did 3 frozen strawberries for dessert, oh so good!
How are you doing, did you make any progress, I hope so!

Oh by the way, I hate it when your light is not on either, .
Okay time to check on the cake! I'll let you know how it tastes and if I did it right! lol
Love Ya,
Diana

Where do I begin?

Good afternoon, Lady Di! I kept watching my e-mail this morning to see if I had a message from you before I had to leave, but there was nothing. Then, as soon as I got home, I again checked my e-mail, and, again, nothing! I'm not sure why we aren't getting our notification.
My weight was back down at my lowest, but now I need to stay "good" and keep going down! I had a protein bar this morning since I was in a hurry. I really like them, and I don't get hungry at all. When I got home, I changed clothes and did a few things, including reading your posts, and I fixed some lunch. I had a diet dr. pepper, a couple of sausages that are supposed to be stuffed with cheese, only they forgot it, and some romaine lettuce w/ranch dressing. Very good and very filling. You know, before this WOE, eating some nuts and diet drink would not have kept me from eating when I got home. I wasn't hungry; even Kab was fine. Always before, I would have eaten a lot in the evening, then I wasn't hungry in the morning, and that was why. I was still full from what I ate the evening before. Unbelievable. I'm going to make some low-carb coleslaw to go with our wraps tonight. How easy is that?
I was going through my cd's in my van and saw the soundtrack from The Passion, and the first thing that I wondered was whether you saw it or not. I thought it was excellent although I couldn't watch the hard part. It made me feel even closer to God. The gruesome torture that Christ suffered was worse than it even showed in the movie. I think it was unimaginable.
The doctor I went to this morning was a neurologist. For years I have trouble with my neck and shoulders, and I have numbness and pain in my hands, especially the right. The doctor was the best I have ever been to, he was so thorough, funny, asked my opinion, etc. He spent a full hour with me. Well, he showed me the x-rays, and I have bulging disc and pinched nerve between C5 and C6 vertabrae. He pointed to all of this on the x-ray. So I have that and carpal tunnel syndrome. I need an MRI and an EMG which is the needles and electric shock, and he said with both of those procedures, they know what they are dealing with. I go back to him in three weeks, and we will go from there.
I had an uncle that died of ALS, and that is one of the worst diseases, in my opinion. It's just a horrible way to die. So, things like that are always in the back of your mind.
My mother had carpal tunnel syndrome surgery years ago and my sister has just gone back to work from surgery. I can't imagine having to do everything with my left hand. He asked me if I did hard labor, and I said that I had done some remodeling, taping and texturing sheet rock, etc., and he asked me about gardening; yes, sewing; yes, and yes to everything that he asked. So, we never get through this life without problems, and we just have to deal with it.
How did your chocolate cake or muffin turn out? I need to try the chocolate. I am going to make some chocolate peanuts clusters this evening. If you are craving chocolate (and I know you do!), I mix Lindt 85% chocolate bar with splenda and a little cream until it is sweet enough and not too thick, then mix in some peanuts and glob it onto some waxed paper. Pretty good!
How is your family doing on the low-carb? Are they staying on it well and losing?
I know that you asked and addressed some other things, but I am going to post this and reread yours, then I'll post again! I have been working on this one for a while, so I have forgotten some of the things I wanted to mention, believe it or not!
Are you getting your new office, or do you know yet?
I always think of a lot of nosey questions, like what kind of car do you drive, how old is John (I was curious if he and Kab might be close in age, as you are). Of course, I am always the oldest!
Either tomorrow or Thursday, I am going to make "Your Mother's Salsa". I know it will be good!
It always takes me awhile to sign off, doesn't it? Talk to you again in awhile! Love ya, Lady Rae

One more thing! Kab and I love thunderstorms, and we sure wish that we would get some rain, too. It is just miserably hot right now with not much chance of a nice rain.
I love mornings like you described!

Believe it or not, I'm back!
First of all, are you going to be alright? After the other tests the do, then they can take care of what's wrong? But I know that the Lord is with you and He'll be with you every step of the way!!! Isn't it a comfort to know that we have the Lord on our side when things happen! Keep me posted on what goes on.

I had to go to a homeowners house to have him sign off on the color selection for the exterior paint on his house. I thought our guys were working there still, but found out they are done for the day.
So I'm not going there until tomorrow morning.
My sister was telling me that when she and her husband went to this homeowners house. We're doing some work there, for the City.
She told me that the homeowner said the people across the street from him do crystal meth and they get crazy shooting their guns in the air! These people did that when my sister and bil were there at the job site . MY bil heard it, my sister didn't. Why aren't the Police involved!!!!
So I don't want to go there if our guys aren't there. The neighborhood is kind of old and the City is trying to renovate the older 'hoods and bring them up to code.
The areas are so bad, there area lot of crime there. Really though I don't worry because I have the Lord, I just don't want to go if our guys aren't there, the homeowner may not be there, plus I forgot to call him beforehand.

Okay, that was a mouth-full huh!

I'm so glad to hear about your weight!
That is so good to hear. I hope I get down too. For breakfast I had a small piece of an egg casserole with 2 pieces of bacon.
That was at 4:30am. Then around 6am while I was still getting ready for work, I had a hamburger patty.
For lunch I had tuna with some lettuce, mayo and pork rinds. I'm stuffed!
Dinner will be left over chicken, salad and I don't know what else.
I want to do something with the chicken, but I don't know what.
Oh I think I may heat them up and put a orange marmalade glaze on it. Walden Farms has those fruit spreads with no carbs and no sugar and they are pretty good. I may do that. .. hmmm?

LOL, the muffins! They smelled so good, but I didn't put enough sugar in them. It turned out pretty and everything, my mom had a small pyrex dish, I made it in that. I will try again.

On the peanut clusters, is the chocolate bar not sweet enough, or is that an unsweetend kind? That sounds good, I have walnuts, do you think that would taste good. I love walnuts, I love to pop them in my mouth and munch.
My parents are still doing lc, there version of it anyway. Well, my dad is border line diabetic and since he's been doing this his blood sugar has gone down alot! So for that he is sticking too it. He has lost about 15 lbs he said and my mom about 13 lbs. They both started in June sometime.
My younger sister and I started at the same time, at the end of April, and she has lost 30 lbs. We're about the same on the weight loss.
LaRae, I am so serious about losing, I have never been on a diet or woe for this long! I want to do it for myself and John. Although John loves me no matter what. heehee!

I don't think we want that office after all. The one we originally wanted, well an current tenant there is interested and they have first dibs. But they have two other offices side by side. They said they could put a threshold so we can have one big office, but then that's too big and I don't want to pay the amount they want. Individually, they are too small, so we're going to wait until they have something open. The lady there, Judy is really nice and she is going to let us know when there is one available.

Oh my goodness, I'm writing a novel. Isn't it funny how we do this. Other posts I've read are short. Do you think we should cut back on our writing or do you not mind the novels!
I guess it's at our own discretion. I did send one out to you around 8-ish am.
When I check my UCP, it doesn't always show my subscriptions either. Then I'll go on the main page and there you are!

Okay, I'll talk to you in a bit. I'm going to do some work, or pretend, .
One more thing, I went on the faith based, "sistas" and Roberta's daughter didn't get a job she wanted, so she asked for prayer for her. I did, so I'm going to check in really quick and see how they're doing.
I'll be back in awhile!

Love,
Diana

I'm just hanging on by a thread . . .

just kidding! Yes, I'll be fine! I do go back in three weeks, then I will probably schedule those tests, then go from there. I'm really not stressed out about it. If I have to have the carpal tunnel syndrome surgery, I will. I can't imagine being able to drive, eat, type, etc. without having to put my hand down by my side all the time to get the feeling back!
I first heard about this board by someone on the first board I was ever involved with. It was called the Homeschool Christian, and I found it when I was looking for weight loss boards. At that time I was still trying Weight Watchers and not doing well. Anyone, one of the posters mentioned that her doctor told her that she needed to go on low-carb because she was borderline diabetic. I don't even get on that board anymore, and I wish I more time to be on this board. I just love it.
I bet your Dad is happy with lower blood sugar. Are they happy eating this way!
I sure can't complain, and I am determined to lose, too! I know what you mean about the first time you have been able to stay with a "diet". I even hate to say that because I plan to eat this way from now on! It's great! I wish I was down there at 210 with you; I have a ways to go, but I will get there! I can't wait!
That orange chicken that you were talking about sounds good. I love it, and I wish I could find Walden Farms here. I haven't been to the health food store yet.
What was it you said that you want to eat when you get to goal? Mine would either be pizza, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and I can probably think of a lot of other things, but I almost hate to eat those things. I'm afraid that I will get totally off this WOE, and I don't want to change.
Don't you love bacon, mayo and tomato? There are so many good things to eat. I love walnuts, too, and it would be great with the chocolate "globs"!
Those Lindt 85% chocolate bars are not sweet at all; in fact, they are like one of the Baker's semi-sweet 1 oz. chunks. It is supposed to be a better quality. I do have a hard time getting it sweet enough. I put in a little dab, maybe 2T. of butter, this time, also. I have added too much cream before, and it didn't set up. So, we ate it with a spoon!
On George Stella's recipe site, he had a recipe for fried onion rings with soy flour, etc. I made them with carbquick and an egg wash. Oh, they were wonderful! I ate way too many!
I need to get dinner together. We are both tired. It was after midnight when Kab got to bed, and it was at least 2:30am before I could get to sleep. My eyes are tired. Did you get the idea that I am tired?
Better go and get busy. I will try to talk to you later unless I fall asleep first!
I am not getting any e-mail notifications that I have any responses, so I have to keep checking, also. What's up with this?
Oh, yes, I want to talk to you later about Sean Hannity and the Leonardi DeCaprio. I wish that I had seen that!
Until later, sweet Lady Di! Love, Lady Rae

Lovely LadyRae, with a sense of humor!! You do, you are totally funny. You seem to have a dry sense of humor, or maybe it just seems that way because I do.

I actually read your post at work, but I had to do somethings for my dad, so I was reading and working at the same time. I wanted to laugh several times but couldn't out loud.

I do love eating this way and so do my parents. My mom was just saying this morning that this is the longest my dad has ever stayed with this woe. I know he see's the benefit of it.
My mom does too, she is looking better as well. She is losing slow, and I keep encouraging her to hang in there. But she is so active, she does the house, clean and mow the yard, her gardening. So I don't know why she's not losing weight faster. I don't think her or my dad are doing Atkins by the book. They love to eat those endulgent bars that taste like a payday, lol.
but who knows, as long as they continue this way, they will lose.

I wish I would have found this place when you did, but I know everything is always in the Lords' timing, right!

So my chicken tasted pretty good, except that when you cook chicken again, it doesn't stay moist. At least mine doesn't. But I know what I'm going to do next time. I'm going to cook it fresh and make a lc orange chicken like Panda Express. I love their OC, it is so good!!!

Oh when I reach my goal, I'm going to eat, OMG, maybe a slice of cheesecake and my mom's red chile, or a big ol mile high sandwich. Speaking of which, I love bacon, tomato, mayo and AVOCADO! Jeepers, I can't stand talking about this. Listen to this, did you ever watch HeeHaw, that show that used to come on Saturday's. They would show this skit where Junior Samples, Lulu, and some other heavy actors sitting on a sofa and all they did was talk about food. Everytime someone mentioned something good, they all would rub their hands and say, Ummmmm! It was so funny.
I always watched shows or movies about heavy people. I loved it!
Did you ever see the movie Fatso with Dom Deluise. That is hilarious!!
He is so funny and the whole thing of emotional eating starting from birth until adulthood, and how finding love makes you forget about food. It's good.

Uh huh, I did see George Stella make those rings too, and also Blaine's Low Carb Cooking on the Fit Tv channel, he made the same thing. He also makes some good food. I've been wanting to try them too. I think when it gets cooler I will. Oh you know what I made last year, where those fried green beans, TGI Fridays, with the dip. Wonderful! That's all I can say!
I can go on about food, OMG, what is up with me! LOL

Please tell me about Sean Hannity and Leo, oh and that Pastor I brought up the other day. If you want Check Home and do that, that's okay with me. It's up to you.

I'm gonna go to, I'll see if you're on here later.
Love Ya,
Diana

Well LadyRae,
I always forget the time difference here and there. It's about 9pm right now over, is it not. Here it is 7:41, oh it should be 9:41, wow almost 10. Yikes, I hope you're not up late. I know you've been doing alot.

I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow morning with great expectations because I feel like I've lost. I'm hoping for the best!
I'm hoping you lose too. We need to change our stats!!

If you read this, check home in the morning when you get the chance.

Well, goodnight and talk to you in the am!
Love,
Diana

Where are you?

Hi LadyRae,
I'm not sure if I missed something yesterday, were you supposed to go to your sisters house? I can't remember know.

I wanted to write this morning, but didn't have time. I had to run that errand, that I didn't do yesterday. Busy morning! My sister went with me, her husband works for my dad too and I asked her to go along with.
This is funny! The homeowner had left for a bit, so hung out there talking to my brother, he works for my dad too. Did I tell you my younger sister and this brother are both saved!
Anyway, the homeowner came home and as I approached him to introduce myself, he started walking up to his house with me following him, and what a sight I had the privilege of seeing!! Let's just say, there was a full moon during the day!!!! I'm not kidding, I felt like pulling his pants up so bad and I couldn't help but stare at it, thinking to myself, "doesn't he realize it's showing"!
Uggh!

I forgot to comment about the movie The Passion. Yes I have seen it and I love it! I couldn't watch some of those scenes either where he was getting beat. It really makes you understand what our Lord went through for us, doesn't it!
I haven't watched it since that time, but maybe I should again.

I've got a lot to do today, but since I'm right in front of the computer all the time, I can peek in and write. And since I work for my dad, he doesn't care, as long as I get my work done.

Well, it's lunch time for me. I'm having tuna w/ mayo and lettuce with some pork rinds again. It was good.

I'll be back soon.

I'm tired!

I feel like I am moving slow today! I am tired, and it's my fault. I hated to put Minnie in her room last night, so she "slept" with us. It's funny; she stayed on our bed all night, but she didn't always sleep!
We were up early, needless to say.
Your information about John was so interesting. He does kind of sound like Kab. They are the same age. Kab was born on 7/9/60, so he is 47. I understand John's frustration with undisciplined and unruly children. I can't stand it either. I don't know what parents are thinking these days. Kids are either given way too much, or the parents are so busy that they let the kids go, etc.
Are you still using the FitDay? I took it off of my favorites, because I just didn't get to it. It takes a little time.
You can have the bacon, mayo, tomato and avocado! Just wrap it in a leaf. Someone said on this board that cabbage leaves work the best for wrapping. We had a wrap last night (I think that I told you) with that lavash bread. It was so good, and I had made low-carb coleslaw. I ate way too much! I hate that, so I am going to do well today.
You had mentioned Sean Hannity interviewing a couple of ladies that were associated with Leonardo DiCaprio. We have several of Hannity's books, and we really like him. Sometimes he goes on about things a little too much, sort of like a dog with a bone that he won't give up.
These liberals love bashing GW (George W. Bush) for anything, but they embrace GW (Global Warming)! I really like Michelle Malkin and Ann Coulter when they are interviewed on FOX. Michelle Malkin has been sitting in for Bill O' Reilley a lot. She's my favorite. When she called the liberals, "scum-sucking bottom-feeders", I loved it! I know that's not nice, and I should ask God to be a better person, but I do not understand how they can undermine this country. It's hard to watch them, and what they are doing!
As for Creflo Dollar, since you asked, I do not agree with what his ministry stands for. There is a movement, and I can't think of the name of it right now, that says that man is equal to God. It says that all animals reproduce each other, and that's what God did; he reproduced us, equal to him. Kab told me the name of this movement, and, as a whole, this group believes in the replacement theology. Kab put a website on favorites for me to read before I posted this, but I forgot. I will read it and post more about that. I hope that you never get offended by what I say, but I will always be up front with you about what Kab and I believe, and I hope that you will do the same. I won't be offended if you say something different from what I believe. I think that we can discuss these things between each other without getting upset, don't you, Lady Di?
About Kab and I, we get along so well. We rarely argue, and then we can't stand it. We do enjoy the same things; gardening, history, football (me, more than him, I think), Bible study and listening to Les Feldick, David Jeremiah, Adrian Rogers, or some of the other ones that we like and feel are Biblical. We love to watch the birds and squirrels and keep food and water out for them. We love animals. We will stop for box turtles that are trying to cross a highway, and Kab will run out and put them off the road!
Kab is very even-tempered; I know that when he comes home from work, he will be the same as when he left. He is not moody, but, like John, he can get mad at times, but not often. He's very easy to talk to, and he is very considerate and spoils me rotten! I keep telling him that he will regret it, but he says that I spoil him, too. We talk a lot and discuss everything, especially current events, etc.
Is there any one presidential candidate that you would vote for at this point? I wish Fred Thompson would throw his hate in the ring. I need to check him out a little further, but what I know about him now, he would get my vote. There are other candidates that really stand for what I believe, but when you know that they don't stand a chance of winning, you wonder if your vote is wasted. That only helps the other party, it seems.
I need to get this posted; I have been working on it all morning and into the afternoon! I had to go outside and do a few things this morning, too. Boy, is it hot!!
I hope you haven't been waiting too long!
Lova ya, Lady Rae

I'd say that you really "got a view", didn't you? I hate the way that people dress now. It's so sloppy and seems dirty.
That's great about your sister and brother-in-law; do they attend church? Do they have children? I will get everyone straight eventually!

Hi!!

I'm glad to hear from you, sorry your on the tired side, I know how that can be.
I've learned that not everyone will agree, but I also like to hear others views on things too. I think that's how we grow and learn. What's funny is, I never heard Creflo say anything about the church replacing Israel. I haven't heard him say anything, yet anyways. But then I don't go to his church so who knows what he say's when the camera is not showing!
I'm going to go on his website and see what he believes.
You should read on Carlton Pearson and what he believes. He is into this "inclusion" belief, where everybody is saved by the sacrifice of Christ.
He starts off saying, "what if hell doesn't really exist." That whole thing doesn't witness to me with what he is saying. It's kind of weird. If you get a chance, check his website out.

I also like to listen to Michell Malkin, she totally knows her stuff doesn't she and she doesn't let anyone get away with anything , lol.
Ann Coulter is funny. I've read some of her articles and she has some good things to say. I used to listen to a radio station here 960 or 920, it's called the Patriot AM 1280. I'm sure they have that same radio talk show program there. I would listen to them from 9am to 4pm at work a couple of years ago.
I liked to listen to Michael Medved, Laura Ingram and Dennis Prager. They always had some iteresting things to say.
Have you ever listened to them?
I'm thinking you have.
I would vote for Fred Thompson too, both John and I!
I don't know a whole lot about him too apart from him being an actor too. He is silent though. I wonder if the Lord will make him President?

You two sound the cutest couple the way you both are to each other. He sounds like a great guy. It's so sweet how you are with animals too. Not alot of people care like that!
It's great to hear married couples getting along. I don't get the fighting part, I know there are disagreements, but I don't get why things can't be resolved respectfully. Well maybe they don't have the Lord in their life too! That makes all the difference doesn't it!
I forgot, John is going to turn 48 in September 1st. I need to think about his b-day gift. I have a niece who is going to turn 17, August 31st too.

I did lose one of the 2 lbs I gained back, we'll see how it goes. Did you use LindaSue's coleslaw recipe? John loves coleslaw!! I've been wanting to make it too.
I think tonight I'm going to make a taco bake from LindaSue's recipe. It sounds good!
You know I was getting confused for awhile about Atkins. I kept reading about using low cal foods and counting cals that I didn't know if I was doing anything right.
So I posted a thread asking these questions and it turns out I'm doing what I'm supposed to do. I even posted some questions in Atkins 72 forum.
When I want to know something, I'll keep asking until, #1) I annoy someone LOL, or #2) I get answers. So I got my answers!
Everyone on that thread are super nice, I appreciated all their help.
HERE'S A SHOUT-OUT TO THOSE LADIES!!

So LadyRae, I think I'd better go right now. I have to pick up my other niece from school. Can you believe there is no school bus that drops off near her house. She has to walk at least a mile and a half to get home. It wouldn't be so bad, but it's darn hot and humid here. So I'll be off, but I'll be back here.
I'll check in with you later on!
Love Ya,
Diana

Lady Di, I had a big, long post that I was typing to you, and Kab needed the computer. He said that if I shrunk it, I would be able to go back to it. NOT!
Now I have to start over, and we are leaving for a little while, so it will be later before I can post again. Don't you hate that?
Until later. Lady Rae

I'm back!
That Taco Back was really good, you should try it, if you haven't already.
I'm stuffed now.
I had to go to the store when I realized I didn't have enough cheese. While there I bought some sf Hunts brand Jello. I think it's the orange and strawberry flavor. Well the orange has 1 carb, minus 1 for fiber and the strawberry has 2 carbs minus 1 for fiber. So that's not too bad! I'm not a realy Jello eater but I'll try it.

So, how has your day since we last chatted? Did you get things accomplished? I always seem to ask you that, I guess I get concerned. I don't want you to have to spend all your time talking to me. And you're good at telling me when you gonna be out, so I'll know when you're not there.
You're so considerate!!

Today was a good day for me, despite the man with the moon! I actually felt bad for him, you know, I pray that he will receive salvation!

I'm slowly but surely making things work out with me and my dad, correction, the Lord is working things out. I also have to be a willing participant too, don't I. I thank God for it all .

Where watching the Diamondbacks right now and the umpire behind home plate got hit with a fast pitch. We could hear the sound of it hitting his knee cap and him yelling falling to the ground. Ewhhh, that's gonna leave a mark. He's still umping.
I don't mind watching these guys but they have the worst pitchers. I'm hoping the Cardinals will be good this year. Who's your favorite football team, since your like watching it. I don't have any particular fav but I hope one day the Cards will win some games.
I like watching the Suns, and they come so close to winnng! I know their time will come.

I think I'm going to try those chocolate covered peanuts you made. This weekend when I do my shopping again, I'm going to get stuff for that and finally make that deep dish pizza. When I baked this evening, the house didn't get too hot! There are so many things I want to make. OH and I found a low carb orange chicken recipe. I have to try that!

Yes, my brother goes to church, it's called Desert Breeze. He plays in the Praise and Worship team. He plays the bass and he is so annointed.
I had heard that this old movie theater by my house is being built into a church. It's called Calvary Community Church. My sister went to one of their other locations, but I guess they're expanding. I visited there, both John and I, and it wasn't too bad. Where thinking about going when this opens up.
We'll see?

I'm talking so much aren't I!
You know what, we try to make a goal and see if we can lose the weight we decide on. Maybe that would make us more motivated. I mean I am motivated, but it would stimulate us to really get this in gear. We can always do a long term goal, such Thanksgiving. We can decide to lose about 10 lbs by that time. What do you think? If for some reason we deviate, we can share it with each other and get back on track.
I think we can do it, I do!!!
Let me know your thoughts.

Well, I guess I'd better go now. If for some reason you still post tonight, I'll read it and answer. You can always read it in the morning.

So have a goodnight! May the Lord give you two a sweet sleep and the Angels of heaven fill you with their heavenly songs.
God Bless,
Diana

Your light is still on!

This is probably going to be a long post; I have a lot to catch up on!
One thing I did want to mention is your comment about couples who argue and act so hateful toward the person they are supposed to love and cherish. I think if a couple truly loves the Lord, they understand the relationship of marriage and what it is supposed to be. When the couple doesn't have any "moral compass", so to speak, anything goes. It's horrible what some couples will do to each other. I think many times, their parents did not have any kind of marriage, so they don't know what a marriage should be. How sad.
It's also a shame about those kids damaging your fence, etc. If you say something to them, you worry whether they will retaliate. In our small, small town, there aren't too many kids. There are always some bad areas and bad characters, but there really isn't any crime except for domestic problems which is just what we were talking about!
I hope that I am not repeating anything from an earlier post. I can't remember everything that I posted or had in my lost post!
Kab and I dislike spoiled and unruly children as well. I understand about John getting upset. A lot of parents are either working or not giving any supervision to these kids, no rules, too much money, etc. I can't stand the way the kids dress. It's so sloppy, and the girls dress so tacky. There's no class or style, except sloppy!
I just heard that we have a 50% chance of rain on Saturday because of Hurricane Erin that coming into the Texas coast. Yeah!
I am probably jumping around, but I want to address everything that you asked or mentioned.
Yes, we have listened to Michael Medved and Laura Ingram and really like both of them. Kab has heard of Dennis Prager, but we have not heard him. Do you like Rush Limbaugh?
Do you count calories as well as carbs? I never have; I just count carbs, but sometimes I don't do that very well.
I can't believe that the school district makes your niece walk a mile and a half, not only in the heat, but, most of all, the danger. Anymore, the kids can't be too careful, which is really sad.
About Carlton Pearson, you are so right about him. It is weird. I even saw a local program about him, telling what he now believes. He is out of Tulsa, so I'm sure that's why they had a piece on him. The Bible tells us when it gets close to the end times that there will be many fall away. I think that we are seeing that now. There is so much apostacy.
About Creflo Dollar, I hope that you do look at his website. There is so much I could tell you about him; none of it good. However, I was in error when I said that he believed in Replacement Theology. I don't know whether he believes in that or not. I do know that he is part of the Word of Faith Movement, also called Health and Wealth. It always bothered me that these pastors would say, "you give to God, and he will bless you and give you everything, etc." We are to give from our heart; God owes us nothing! We owe him!
I'm sure glad that we can discuss these things because I sure enjoy it. I just don't want to come across as a "know-it-all"! I guess it's just that I feel that I have learned so much over the last 2 or 3 years especially, and I want everyone to know more about the Bible!
Your Taco Bake sounds really good. There are so many recipes and so little time!
I really like your idea about a Thanksgiving goal. We could call it "We don't want to look like pumpkins" challenge or "the low-carb gobble fest". I really am getting silly now; you can tell I am tired! Since there are about 13 1/2 weeks until Thanksgiving (I think that is right), do you think we could lose 15-20 lbs.? I know that I could be losing more if I didn't have those evenings when I overeat. Rats, what am I thinking!
I have always wondered why the Arizona Cardinals, the St. Louis Cardinals, etc. have never had a winning team. They are always down at the bottom. They should get better draft picks and probably have for years now, so I don't get why they are always bad. Kab and I like Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts (coach Tony Dungy is a Christian), and I used to like Kansas City Chiefs. Now with free agency, etc., the teams change every year, so it's really different, and the media seems to hype the "bad boys". No role models there!
I have more to say, but Kab has been in bed for about 30 minutes, so I'd better post this and continue in the morning. Kab is like John; he can be asleep so fast, and I lay there trying to get comfortable or thinking, etc.
I love your posts. You are so sweet and spiritual. It comes through with every thing that you say.
I hope to talk to you more tomorrow than I did today. Did you know that one maraschino cherry has 2 carbs? I am still going to figure out a way to get us a chocolate covered cherry! Maybe when we get to goal, we'll just buy some! Maybe not! I'm almost afraid to start!
Good night, and I will talk to you bright and early, I hope!
Love ya, Lady Rae of the Royal House of Christ! How's that?

Oh, I just noticed that your little light is off. I took so long typing the previous post that you probably gave up on me. I'm so sorry. I don't ever want to hurt your feelings; you are so sweet and caring. I promise that I will try to post extra tomorrow!

I don't think I can forget "The Man With The Moon"! Too funny!
I was thinking, Lady Di, having your ears rubbed and your head scratched sounds like something Sammee would like! Actually, Kab loves having his head rubbed, scratched, massaged, anything! Just had to add that!

I'm up and hungry!

Hi LadyRae,
No, don't worry about anything, I realized that I was really tired and although I was going to get back on here, I thought I'd just ge on here in the morning. You can't hurt my feeling unless I allow it. I don't sense you're that type of person who could or would do that intentionally.
Don't worry about offending me or anything like either. We should say what we believe is correct and true to please God not to please our selves. I just heard what I just wrote, and I thought, yeah that's it Lord, that's what I want to say!
I don't see you as a know-it-all either. I can sense in the Lord, that you do know what you're talking about and know the word. If I sensed that you were in error, from what I've learned, then I would ask you about it. I would never tell you that you were wrong, because I don't know for sure. I would just ask how do you come to that understanding. I always go to the word to find out what anyone is saying accurate.

I know who Rush Limbaugh is, I've seen him on Fox News, but I haven't listened to him on the radio. I'm not sure what station or time he is on here.

Oh that Taco bake, I can't believe how good it was, John even liked it. Here's to LindaSue and her recipes!
I don't count calorieds either, but I've read so many things about that, that I had to get some answers.
So yes let's make that our goal then I like how you come up with the cool phrases. I like that, "we don't want to look like pumkins", that is funny!
I like the "Low carb gobble fest" because I don't want to look like a pumkin.
So we can shoot for 15 or 20, that sounds good to me too. Let's do that, that way it will get us really motivated and geared to really lose weight.
LET'S LOSE THIS WEIGHT!!!!
Know I'm excited!

I hope you get rain there, there is nothing like the water from Heaven to make our grass grow. I love it!!
Oh and John is a Packers fan too, his mom as well! I don't mind them. Yes I did hear of the Colts coach being a Christian, I think that is awesome how he came out and confessed that.
The kids now-a-days, don't have any good upbringing. But they still don't have to act the way they do. I see it like this, if you treat a kid with a bad upbringing, with no love or respect, then they that's how they continue their behavior. But if we do show them love, regardless on how they act, then they're going to think that everybody is the same, no one cares so why should they act different. Yet, if I see something that they do wrong, I'll say something to them and correct them. I try not to get mad, try is the word!
I'm coming to the point where, if Christ can take someone calling Him names and being disrespectful towards Him, and still love the sinner, then we should do the same. When those kids broke our fence, I honestly didn't get mad, I prayed for them and forgave them, even though I didn't know who they were. That's what I want John to understand too. I know he'll get it, but in Gods' time. The enemy is trying to take our kids by using alcohol, drugs, by abortions, by drownings, and other ways. These are our future generations and I don't want them to grow up not caring about anything, so I continue to pray for these kids. I pray for the grade school in front of my house and the HS next to it. I'm always praying for the kids.

I'll also think of some cherry treats too. I'm going to do research as well. I'm going to have to think what to make for my Christmas cookies. Should I just make the regular things or should I do lc? I may do half and half, but the thing is having to buy other those other ingredients for the lc stuff. That means extra products to buy. I'll have to think about that.

Well, I'd better go now and start to get ready for work. I'm going to read a little more and then shower. Oh did you hear about the earthquake in Peru?
Alot of people died! How terrible, but it's what to come.

Okay I'll talk to you later,
God Bless,
Diana

Lady Di, you bless my heart!

When I read your last post, I just can't say how blessed I am by what you say. We are to pray for those who are against us, and you do that. It isn't easy and, I have to admit, it's easy not to even remember to pray for them. I love to watch The New Detectives, Law and Order and some shows like that. I hear people (relatives and friends of the victims) say that they hate the person that murdered, and that they hope they go to Hell. I think if a person is a true Christian, they won't want anyone to suffer that fate, regardless. It's so sad to think that one second after a person dies, they KNOW, but it's too late. That just gives me chills to think about. I know that the muslims that sacrifice themselves know within a second that they were wrong. I could go on about that, but that is a deep and loooong subject!
I finally got off the telephone with my sister (Wanda), and our cell phones seem to be working great. No camera, though. I am not a phone person at all, and I have to say that I hate talking to her on the telehone. It is not like carrying on a normal conversation. She is a nurse, doesn't have good sleep habits, is usually tired, she repeats herself, doesn't finish sentences, etc. I love her, she's my sister, and we are total opposites. We always have been. We don't look anything alike, except we both gained weight! She is short and dark; I am not tall, 5'4" and blond (well, sandy color, really) and light complexion. I always call her Wanda the Wicked Witch, and I am Glenda the Good Witch! I really don't like to joke around about witches, but I love calling her that! My mother, Wanda and I try to get together fairly often when we can, but we always have to walk on eggshells with Wanda, especially if she is tired. Then she is cranky and can ruin everyone's time. Then later she will apologize, but she doesn't change. She can be really hateful and short with people. She has no interests really and seems to stay on the telephone. If she had your telephone number, she would call! I think that she got the "telephone gene", and I didn't get one. She just doesn't take care of herself at all. She has congestive heart failure, sleep apnea, asthma, allergies, etc. She smokes, doesn't sleep right, doesn't even take her medicine on schedule. She is very disorganized and loses stuff constantly. Mother and I are very organized; we are list-makers, and Wanda laughs at us with our lists.
I really had no intention of talking so much about my sister, but I can't understand why she wouldn't want to take better care of herself? She's a nurse so one would think that she would know what she is facing.
I hope the Lord heals whatever problem is between you and your Dad, especially since you work for him and live so close.
Your holidays sound so nice with all of your family together. Our family is so different now; it's just not the same. I know things change over the years, but the meaning is what's important, anyway! Kab and I have talked about getting involved with the Salvation Army or some organization that we like and help with serving food, etc. during the holidays. We would like that.
I wanted to mention something that I have learned from the recipe section. When sweetening the chocolate (the Lindt bar or the squares of Baker's semi-sweet), I noticed that the Splenda didn't sweeten it enough, and, I think it was Kevinpa, said that if Erythritol was added along with the Splenda, it would sweeten it better. I have that so I will try that next time, although I don't know how much to add, but I also learned that the Erythritol cannot be used by itself because it cannot tolerate the heat like the Splenda. That's why you always have to use another sweetener with it. It's a whole different type of cooking, isn't it? I like the challenge of trying new recipes and learning how to use certain ingredients. I want to try that Taco Bake, for sure. You know, I have so many recipes that I want to try that I don't think I have made the same thing twice, except for the pizza! I think you will like that. I try to make my crusts (I make two, one for later) in the afternoon, bake them, and refrigerate them uncovered to dry out a little as Linda Sue suggests. I have not had a problem with the crusts sticking. I use a glass 9 x 13 pan. Yummmm!
Sometimes I feel like printing out your post so that I can address it because by the time I get mine typed, I probably have forgotten some things. I always re-read your post so I'll address it sooner or later!
This is pretty long, so I'll post and catch you later. Hope that your day is going well, Lady Di! Love, Lady Rae
