I decided that I'm not going to eat any type of carbs for about a couple of days to see what happens. I just told one of the ladies in A 72 and she told me to try to not eat carbs for 2 days and see what happens.
I remembered when I lost those 2 lbs, at that time, I didn't have eggs or salad stuff or any veggies. So all I ate was protein, left over chicken for 2 days, b l and d. No I take that back, I only had enough veggies for one meal and I saved them for dinner.
But those were the days I lost and I completely forgot about that!

That's what I'm going to do, at least for 2 days and see what happens.

Okay, that's all I wanted to say!!!

Love Ya, soon to be Thin Lady!!!

Another question! Do you think that we ought to post what we are eating that day or post what we ate the day before? I was thinking that it might be easier to post what we ate the day before starting tomorrow. That sounds confusing, doesn't it? What do you think? That way we would have to be accountable for what we already ATE, not just plan to eat! You know how that goes.
I still can't get over the fact that you haven't lost lately when you are doing extremely well with your plan.
I will continue to read the Atkins '72 and check on LindaSue's Induction recipes or low, low carb recipes. I have made the mashed potatoes, potato salad, etc. with the cauliflower. My problem at lunch is to want to just grab something fast instead of stopping and actually cooking something. I need to take the time.
Need to go for now. Kab will be home which will wake up Minnie, so I have to stop working on my curtains. (yes, I am still working on my curtains!) I would probably be done by now, but some things I cannot work on when Minnie is in the middle of whatever I am trying to do!
Anxious to see what you think!
Love you!
LadyRae

So we post what we ate today on tomorrows post, right? That sounds good to me. Because like you said, we don't always know what we're going to eat.

Okay good! That's settled, I'm really excited about this!! Whohoo!!!

Talk to you later!

Hi LadyRae,
Surprise!

I was talking to the Atkins 72 and finding out some more info. I think that what I'm going to do for a couple of days is just have a vegetable or salad for dinner and see how that works.
I have to go to the store tomorrow and get some things. I don't want to go but I out of some stuff and I'll just get it over with.

I was reading in this website called Christian International, I told you about it.
Well, there's going to be a couple of conferences here in November and they are close by my house. I told John that I wanted us to go.
I also found a couple of churches that I may want to go to. Of course we would just go to one, but I am really excited about the one called Church for the Nations, it is very close by my house.

I'll have to fill you in on it when I go. Maybe this Sunday!
When I saw this, I just sensed in my spirit, this is the one. I'm going to pray about it to see if this is where the Lord wants us. But I believe if I'm at peace with this, then it must be it.

Well, I'm going to go for now, I may be lurking around for awhile. I don't go to bed as early as I used too. I will probably go read this book my sister got for Johns birthday. It's called Trusting God. She got it freem at Calvary. Cool huh!

Okay well, I will talk to you later or in the morning!

Love Ya Lots LadyRae!!

God Bless!

Good Morning LadyRae, did you sleep good last night knowing we're going to start losing some weight here!

Yesterday's menu:
B- 1 serving egg casserole, 2 sausage patties
L-lc carb burger from Carls Jr
D-Chicken salad with cucumbers, strips of bell pepper, avocado, radishes. Enough to equal about 1 c lettuce and 1 c veggies.
Water and diet rite soda.
What I ate was about 2000 calories maybe more, but the fat % was way to high, I think?

I'm waiting for you post to see what you ate.

I hope I'm not overwhelming you with all my posts from last night, but boy I don't understand where people come from anymore. But you know, that's where prayer for them comes in. I read even more on that "church" thread and what people think and believe, well I'm not surprised!

Okay I'll let you read on and I'll check back in a bit. My light will be green incase!

Love Ya,
ladidi

This is your "slow to show" friend!

So sorry to be slow again getting you posted, ladidi!
It is so sad to see what people will believe when it seems so unbelievable to you and me. My devotion was just talking about how God reaches down to man, but man has to reach out. Man is free to refuse God, and God does not override human choice. In Psalm 18:29, Davis says, "By my God I can leap over a wall." A man can jump ovr some barriers by his own will and effort, but some walls are so high that they need more than this. The psalmist knew such walls. Those could be leaped only with the help of God. God does not life a man over. God helps a man when he takes the leap.
Don't you love that? I really feel sorry for those who cannot reach out for God, or refuse to acknowledge him.
Your post was so good; I hope everyone reads it and gleans some insight!
I thought your menu was great! Do you still use FitDay? I thought it was too time consuming.
Here you go, and I'm not going to hide anything.
Breakfast: Atkins Bar 2 net carbs
Lunch: 2 pieces of LindaSue's Deep Dish Pizza 6 carbs
Snack: 2Tbls. peanut butter w/DaVinci's 4 carbs
Dinner: Taco Salad (ground beef, veggie
spring mix greens, cheese, 1/4 avocado,10 carbs ?
my salsa)
1 c. s/f Jello Salad (1 carton cottage 8 carbs
cheese, s/f jello, 0 carb whipped cream)___________
30 carbs ?
I did not count my carbs ahead of time for dinner;
I will now! This has pointed out some things to me!
I ate too much of the Jello salad; it was so good!
Another problem, portion control, always has been!
I'm also drinking 5 16.9 oz. bottles of water daily.

Ladidi, we also felt at peace with the last church that we joined, then little by little, we noticed things until we could not stay there. Be very careful. I'm not telling you anything that you don't know, but I remember Dr. James Dobson (Focus on the Family) speaking one time about a voice he heard telling him to make a certain decision. The decision sounded logical and "the right thing to do". He was certain it was of God. It wasn't. It was a totally wrong decision for him. I cannot remember what the impact of his wrong decision was, but I have always remembered that.

My carb count will look a lot better tomorrow, and I hope that the scale does, too!
I love you! Hope that you are having the BEST day!

Hellooooooo!

My computer is running slow for some reason. It is taking a little longer to download.

Anyway, yes, I definatley will becareful about this church. The name of the Pastor sounds so familiar to me, that when I see him, I'm sure I will remember him. I need to do this so I will know where we belong.

But listen to this! Remember I was telling you about my old Pastor, well this convention that is coming in November, well he is apart of that. I saw a picture of him and he totally had something done to his face. He looked different, yet recognizable!
I guess he is doing well! You know what too, the Lord convicted me about what I said about that Pastor. He did, but He was so gentle about it. I just repented. I guess because I spoke that negative thing about him and I really shouldn't have said anything, I didn't make any of that up, that's what happened but I should have kept my mouth shut. I should be edifying and not bringing down.

But on that thread, I feel sorry for those people who don't have a clue. I read so much more on that and I was just flabbergasted and sad that so many people are lost. I was wondering how do we get through to these people. They have a mindset already about church, but not the real "Church".

On your menu, are you sure there are 10 carbs in the taco salad? It seems like a lot. I usually look at LindaSue's carb count for stuff and if my portions are bigger than I add.

Well, I'm gonna go, I'll be around here. I've been going back and forth now between here and the other forum. You know what my original name was on that other forum is, FitinTime. That's what I picked, then when I came here, I didn't know if I should use the same name. I didn't obviously, lol.

Well, LadyRae, I'm going to go, but I will be around with my light on. . .incase!

Love Ya

Well, I hope that taco salad had less than 10 carbs, but I wasn't sure. I'm going to be more careful today! I know where I can cut, and what I need to do, but you are eating so carefully and clean. I still wonder why you are not losing! Are you losing inches? Me, I am just losing time!
My computer has been acting up today, too. The screen keeps jumping, especially on the sides. It's wierd, and it has been doing it all day. It makes it difficult to type when it is moving.
I'm going to check back later. I want to finish up a few things, if I can, before Minnie wakes up and before Kab gets home. Isn't that crazy about Minnie? If she is up, she will be into everything, and I can't work on them. I don't get as much done since Kab brought her home, that's for sure!
Check on you later!
Love ya,
LaRae

LadyRae,
We have all the time until the Lord returns to lose weight, my Dear.

I know I may not make the Thanksgiving challenge, but I have to accept that. I'll try for Christmas or something.

We will still lose weight no doubt about it!!

He is able to make it happen for us!!

Love ya and don't give up!!

Talk to you later.

How are you this evening, ladidi? The evening went quickly! We had a good meal this evening, although we always eat late. Kab mowed the lawn, so by the time he came in and took a shower, etc., it was 7:30pm. Then I make his lunch from the leftovers, etc. I went out and picked tomatoes and looked at the garden. It was a perfect evening, and I hate to waste it being inside! I heard that next week is to be windy.
I'm going to call it a night. Sometimes if we go to bed early, Kab will rub my neck and shoulders. I don't know if I mentioned it or not, but I have been going to a neurologist. I have carpal tunnel and bulging disc between my 4th and 5th vertabrae. He said it was bone on bone. I had a cervical x-ray done at the hospital, picked it up and took it with me to my first appt. He showed it to me. From my neck, the muscles in the shoulders are tight, etc., and it causes headaches, too. I am trying to delay any surgery as long as possible, but sometimes I wonder if it wouldn't be better to just get it over with!!
Did you have a nice day? Can you believe it is already at the end of the week? The days just fly, don't they?
Sweet dreams for you! Love you, ladidi

Good Morning LadyRae! Yes it's Friday!!!
What kind of plans do you have for this weekend? Anything fun, or creative?
You always do fun things to your house, well that's how I see it.

I did my grocery shopping last night, but forgot a few things, so I have to go again!

Yesterday's menu:
B-3 scrambled eggs, 2 sasauge patties--2 carbs approx
L- 1 can of tuna, 2 tblsp of mayo , lettuce
D- You inspired me! Taco salad: 1 cup of meat, maybe a little more than that, plus 1 cup lettuce; consist of ground beef, 1/2 each chopped red and green bell peppers, 1/4 c of onions, 1/2 cup of chopped tomatoes, and can of green chiles.

I tracked it on Fitday and it shows I only ate 18 carbs! I thought I ate more than that. I need to eat more, but the thing is that my scale shows about a 1/5 lb loss, so maybe I'll just continue eating this way.

I'm going to get ready now I'll talk to you later at work!

Love Ya!

I'm so excited! I just can't hide it!

Did you hear the Pointer Sisters singing? Oh well! Yesterday evening when I was playing with Minnie, I thought, boy, my mouth is dry, and I just had a feeling that maybe I was in Ketosis. Later, I tested, and I was!!!!!
Do you know that I gave up testing about the first 2 or 3 weeks because I never was. I was so happy to see that stick turn purple, well, pinkish purple, but I'll take it! I think writing down everything and having to figure the carbs is the key for me. Do you stay in ketosis? I would sure think so the way you eat or don't eat!
By the way, I chose this new fall avatar because the kitten looks like Minnie.
I'm going to post my menu, but, you know, obviously, that I haven't gone back to Induction, but, I was thinking that if I needed to, I would. I don't want to, but, whatever!
Atkins Bar 2 carbs
Deli Cheese Slices
Peanut Butter (I know, I know!) 8 carbs
Chicken Breast w/Alfredo Sauce 4 carbs
Asparagus - 6 stalks 3 carbs
Small green salad w/1/3 avocado 4 carbs
2 T. Dressing 2 carbs ?
Low-carb dessert 4 carbs
Total 27 carbs w/o the deli cheese slices

I also drank my water! I was up twice last night to prove it!!
Did you buy a new scale? You said John suggested a digital. I have one that I bought at Wal-Mart that is a Taylor. It's not the cheapest one (I tried that and took it back), but not the most expensive, either. I like it. You can step on it three times in a row, and it will always be the same.
You asked about this weekend, and I think we are going to head down to Edmond (north of OKC-a suburb, really) to visit with Kab's parents. I told you I was going to decorate their front door area. I need to do the garland today. So, after we visit with them, we will go to the Wal-Mart in Edmond and do some grocery shopping. We like to combine trips.
So, I won't be able to post tomorrow as I assume we will leave pretty early, but I will post my menu sometime tomorrow! Then Sunday, Kab is going to work on the back room again, and I will either paint on the cabinets or working on something!

"A friend hears the song in my heart and sings it to me when my memory fails."
Bye for now, sweet friend,
LadyRae

Yeahh for LadyRae!!!!

Hi!!
Ahhh, I love your avatar, and I pictured Minnie looking like that too! It's so cute! I want her now, lol!

Yes! You are in ketosis!!! That is so great, you are going to lose! Just keep up with what you're doing, as long as the strip is that color you're fine with how your eating. Just make sure there are no hidden carbs in anything you are eating. I just started to take notice of this myself.
It's so much easier to know when we're losing by checking everything we eat, isn't it.
We're going to lose LadyRae!!!!!!

I know I've been going crazy with posting, I'm just really excited about what we're doing, I just want to keep encouraged and encourage!

I'm gonna post on our thread tomorrow so you'll have something to read when you come home. I need to do some things too, like get my vehicle washed! It is so filthy that I surprised I don't have any thing living in it.

OMG! I'm just so excited for you, I wish you could see me, I do that silent clapping to myself! LOL When I read your headline I know it was something good. Praise God for answered prayers!!!

Oh I meant to say a 1/2 lb lost not 1/5 lb. I had a bm this morning and when I weight myself again the scale went too. It shows me between 207 and 206, everytime I moved it showed a different number. I hoping by the weekend I'll lose the full 5 lbs! I know you're for sure you are going to lose. You have too.
And let's move forward, we'll keep going because we're on our way!!!!

I'll talk to you later, if you get a chance to post, if not I know your making your house beautiful!

Love Ya my Dear PenPal LadyRae,

P.S.
Oh and about the mouth being dry, mine too! I didn't even put it all together but I probably am in Ketosis too. I'm not craving sweets either like I was about 3 days ago.
I also read an interesting thread about someone who has lost all her weight and how she took notice when she lost how her body felt during the time her body was actually burning fat. I'm going to find it because it's an interesting theory.

I never did buy a new scale, I will keep this one because it's going in the right direction!

Also, I found some really good no bake desserts, when I get them from my favorites I'll send them to you, some contain peanut butter, but the sf kind.

"I'm So excited" for you too! Yeahh!

Have fun today and I'll talk to you soon!!

We should have done this sooner!

I think this is helping me more than you because you have always been good about what you eat. But, like you said, as long as we are losing! I feel so much better, and I thought I heard a scream this morning! Now I know what it was! Thank you!
That dessert that I made last night was a no-bake lemon cheesecake with one box of s/f lemon jello, 2 bricks of cream cheese (Philly) and 2 cups of heavy cream whipped with splenda and vanilla. It was good, and Kab really liked it. I actually used the aerosol whipped cream because it has 0 carbs.
Just lazy, I guess.
I am so glad that you are in ketosis, too, but I would have thought that you already were. I hate to keep saying it, but you have done so well, you should be in onederland by now!
When you find that thread that you were talking about, let me know where it is. I would like to read it, too; sounds good.
Thanks for posting tomorrow even though I won't be here. I will do alright on my eating tomorrow. I usually am not tempted when going out to eat. Especially when you are not craving anything. Then we'll pick up some more good stuff at Wal-Mart, too.
I am ironing those 8 panels of curtains! We can hang them tonight and be done with it if that look right. The rods are almost to the ceiling, so I may have to wait for Kab to help. I'm really tired of working on them!
Back to the iron! Talk to you again soon!
Love you,
LadyRae

I really don't know why I'm not losing or have lost anything. The only thing I can attribute it to is the sf lc ice cream. The chocolate on the outside of it maybe the key. I know sugar alcohols stall some people and maybe it did with me. I don't really snack at all because I have a problem with portion control, when I did I ate pork rinds and maybe it was that, haven't eaten them for the last 3 days. Maybe it's the salad, too much of it.
That's why I'm not eating as much salad to see if that's the case.

I bought some strawberries and blueberries then threw them in the freezer. I love to take them out and eat them frozen like that.

So now, I'm experimenting to see if what I'm eating will work. You know I thought I had my FitDay link on my signature, if not then I'll put it back, and you can take a look at it. Oh and I did a carb thing on the taco salad too, I'll show you how many carbs are in it.
I've been frustrated, believe me! That's when I went to the source, God!

I do think my body is going through a change I haven't had a TOM since July, plus I don't exercise and alot of people here do some form of it.

We just have to be patient!

Off to look for that link.
Love ya!

There's my fitday. I guess the taco salad is around 10 carbs! I don't count he bell peppers that much because I'm not getting alot in there, but I don't know how much to put down. Anyway it's okay!

Loves!

I haven't had a chance to look at your fitday yet, but I will get to it eventually!
Don't you have a BBQ at your house this weekend? Did you find a cobbler recipe? I would like to see those desserts that you mentioned. If I have some kind of dessert after the evening meal, it keeps me from wanting something else. Of course, in ketosis, I shouldn't be hungry, and right now, I am not.
Kab is under 200 lbs. now. To look at him, you wouldn't even think he needs to lose anything. He is built slender and about 6' tall. He really likes this way of eating.
I guess that you are getting off work now, at least, I hope that you get away on time!
I'm going to post it so you can read it before you leave.
Happy shopping!
Talk to you later!
Love ya!

Hi!!!

I just got back from my running around. Boy is it hot outside. I asked the Lord to please let us have some cool air now, we've been in the hot too long.

You're so sweet to say that about the whoosh, I know you are going to lose weight as well, being in ketosis, how can you not!

We cancelled the bbq Saturday, I guess the Dr. from the rehab place said it was okay for my sister to see her husband. The only time she can see him is tomorrow. She's leaving in the morning and coming back Sunday. Please pray that she will have a safe drive out there and safe return. Her name is Laura. Thanks!!!

I'm still gonna bbq my usual stuff tomorrow anyway.

LOL, what am I being sneaky about. Tell me.

Oh now that I'm home I have those recipes right here. I think I'll email them to you instead so I can grab them from the computer.
Hope that's okay, that way you can print them from you computer.

I'll do that right now and I'll come back in a bit!

Love Ya,
ladidi
