Oh I bet your room is going to look so good! I love stained concrete!!!!
I'm so jealous of you! Your house is going to be so beautiful when you get done. When you get the chance try to send me a picture of the outcome. I'm on a break myself too, and lunch sounds good to me too. I'll probably have some pork rinds and guacamole. I'm glad nothing happened to your tires while you were driving, thank God! I have to tell you, John is getting ready to get new tires on my Expedition too. Actually we want to do it before we pick up my bil. So hopefully it will be by sometime next week that I get my tires. Even though I don't use my vehicle so much, let's see it's an 2001 and it only has about thirty-nine thousand miles on it. Since I just walk to work, lol, I save on gas! Well back to work for me too, I need to shower so bad! ![]() I'll check back later and see how you are doing! Love Ya,

I know when I clean house, I get so sweaty, especially vacuuming for some reason.
I had to read your post before getting up from the computer, so when I ready about what you are going to eat, I thought, I hate that! (Pork rinds and quacamole) Yum! I really think that getting those tires taken care of was Providential. God sure takes care of us, doesn't he? We are so blessed! Well, this time I am going to eat something! Oh, yes, another thing that I was frustrated about was my blood pressure. When I went to the Dr. on Wednesday, my blood pressure was 150/98! The last time was high, also, 140/96. I was hoping that by eating low carb, my blood pressure would go down. All I have read in Atkin's books, say that low carb would help blood pressure. I don't get it! ![]() I'll talk to you later! Love ya, LadyRae ![]() ![]() ![]()

Good Morning Again!
How are you? ![]() I'm making an egg dish right now, I think I put too much cream in it, so it's almost done. I'm starving!!! I'm so sorry I didn't get to write you, so hectic yesterday at the last minute. My nieces and nephews came over so I made something to eat, then my sister came over and after awhile my mom came over and I hadn't even showered yet! It was about 2:30 in the afternoon too! Plus we were going out to Karaoke. I'm happy to say I didn't go off plan, except late last night around midnight I was getting hungry, I woke up and up and had 2 lc sf ice cream bars, oh it was soo good! But I'm back on plan today. Well, I hate to cut this short, but I will post more in a little while and tell talk to you more. Love Ya! |

Oh when I was saying about speaking about the Lord in the begining, I should have said that you have a way of speaking that someone can listen without you sounding "religious". You know what I mean? I can't even explain it.
But I could tell you have bible knowledge, and not just speaking like you don't know. I think that's why I wanted to continue posting because most everything you said, totally witnessed to me too. Even when it came to Israel, I was happy that we agreed about that! I believe I know you know what I'm talking about with all this. I just wanted to explain myself a little more incase I sounded all over the place. LOL Okay, I'll check in later with you! Love Ya!! |

I just read your posts, and you answered some of my questions that I asked in the e-mail, about Karaoke, etc.
Thank you for the compliment about not sounding "religious". That was very nice. I know that we would probably disagree is some areas, and we may eventually "hit" on one of those areas, but, I think that we would be able to discuss our views and back it up with scripture, etc. I love discussing beliefs and the Bible with you, but, with some people, it can get rather "heated"?! I don't like to get upset or make anyone else upset; I'm uncomfortable with that, so I hope that I never make you uncomfortable, of all people. You are so sweet, sincere, and I know you really love the Lord. I also think true Christians have a compassionate, caring heart. I may be totally wrong, but when I am around some "Christians" that are so uncaring toward others, it makes me wonder. ![]() Do you still post on the other board or just check on it? Did your sister visit Calvary this morning? Oh, I wish we could go there! We love Mark Martin! The Seven Day Adventist is a very legalistic sect, if not a cult. I know that Mark Martin came out of The Seven Day Adventist Church. I need to go for now. Kab got my brackets up in the bedroom yesterday, and he is now painting the walls in the back room. The paints that he mixed up looks good! It a light cocoa color; I think it will be fine. I can't wait to get my sheers measured for the bedroom, so I can get that finished, finally. ![]() He got all of my autumn "tubs" down from the attic, too, so I can put together some decorations for his parent's "apartment". I keep a door garland up on the outside of their front door, then a little something on the floor to the side, and a wreath or something on a little side wall. Most of the residents there at Tealridge, the retirement community, decorate outside their units or apartments. Last year, they had their first annual Christmas decorating contest for each floor, and then an overall prize. So, I am thinking of what I can do different for their Christmas decorations. They enjoy it. ![]() I keep saying I need to go, and then I just keep rambling on! I'm the one "all over the place"!I'll be checkin' on ya! Love you, ladidi! ![]() ![]() ![]() LadyRae |

Ladidi, I hope that John is able to watch the Packers/Eagles game. The score has gone back and forth, but Bret Favre is having one of "his" games. It has been good; I've been listening and watching some. He is so entertaining!

Hi and Good Morning!!
How are you today, did you get alot acomplished yesterday? I bet your room is going to look so good! I love that you are so creative and love to do decorating things. I'm like that too. I love antique looking signs and plaques and different things like that to put up on my walls. I love old looking wood and rustic style furniture as well as country looking furniture. What are "tubs"? How sweet you are to decorate your in-laws apartment! I bet you're really good at that. You are inspiring me to do my house now! Yesterday I put on the Packers game and then when John saw the Diamondbacks on, he wanted to watch them instead. I know that his mom was watching the Packers play while being in Wisconsin. She is a big fan herself. What's funny is John's older brother is a Bears fan, not a Packers fan. Saturday night when my sisters came over, the one sister who is a couple years younger has a boyfriend. He and John were watching the D-back and Sun Devils games, flipping back and forth. All I could hear from the other was was, yelling and cheering. His name is John too, isn't that funny! On the Bible subject, I know that maybe we may not agree on everything, but I'm glad we have agreed on alot of things. But you know what, we can't help if others get mad at us for speaking the truth. We just have to remember if we are going please God or man. So I'd rather have people mad at me for speaking the truth, then worry about making them mad and not please God. I sense that's how you think too, but everything has to be done in the Love of the Lord, as I know you know. You have a way of speaking too, you also have a sweet spirit too, and you have a way about you that when you say something, it's easy to see you know what you are talking about and not just saying it. Oh and you are 2 hours ahead of me. Right now it's about 8:20am, so it's about 10:20 over where you're at, right? Okay, I'm gonna go for now, I'll be around here, lurking and seeing what I can learn. Oh, I started a thread about my TOM changing, have you read that yet? I haven't had a cycle since June, I have gone a couple of months before without one, but always started after that. You can read it if you want, it's under the medical forum. Talk to you later, Love Ya LadyRae!! Last edited by Determinedtolose; 09-10-2007 at 09:31 AM.. |

I can just barely say Good Morning! It's 11:47am!
As my mother used to say, "are you bright-eyed and bushy-tailed?" When you are half-asleep, that wasn't so funny!
Our posts reflect my time zone, the two hours later than you is right. What does the time show on your end? I know; I ask a lot of questions! ![]() Kab and I would love to take a cruise to Israel, especially with Mark Martin and a few others that we really enjoy. Wouldn't that be something? I can't imagine what that would feel like! I hope that you start saving your money! I have not read the thread that you started on TOM, but I will. I haven't been on LCF much lately. I have to admit, I haven't even checked on The Playground since last Tuesday. Other than our "thread", I may not post regularly on anything else, just check in and out where I find something of interest. Have you lost any more weight? I am surprised that you don't because you really do so well. You have made me realize how much I "fudge" with my portions and number of carbs. I know that my meds, age, etc., don't help, but I think "I" am my biggest problem!! ![]() I have to tell you this, and praise God's creation! The little tree frog (I call him the sticky frog because of the suction cups on his legs) is still hanging out in the little bird feeder. I love to look for him. This morning, I was watching a hummingbird hit all of our morning glories this morning, and I was able to watch him right outside the same window. I love morning glories, especially the bright blue with fuschia colored stripes on it. Even the seeds amaze me. I love to gather seeds in the fall, and I am always in awe of how the seed pods develop, dry, then open and drop the seeds, and each plant, shrub, tree, etc. is different! Of course, ONLY GOD could do that! ![]() My nature praise for today! ![]() We are still dealing with that little stray dog. We can't get the animal control people out here, so we had to feed her. At first, she was driving us and our neighbors crazy barking, but she has stopped that now. I think it is because she feels more "at home", unfortunately. She just wants a home, I know. Ladidi, she looks so weird. She has big "stand-up" ears, the nose of a lab, a little bigger body than a dachsund, short-haired, but with the coloring of a boxer or pit bull. She has a really good personality, loves women, doesn't like men, except Kab. Kab will pet any dog, no matter what. I'm always saying, "Kab, be careful, etc.". She wants to play with the cats, doesn't mind them at all, but the cats mind! They would rather she just go away! I have to tell you that the lady next door, Rita, walked over yesterday as we were outside. Her and her husband attend the Methodist church here in town. It is the largest church here in this tiny town, and when it is nice, they just walk to it. Yesterday, the stray dog followed them to church. Their dog, Pepper, is a long-haired dachsund that stays outside, but she knows she is not to follow them to church. She's pretty smart. Well, I know that I am drawing this out, but it is funny! The stray dog follows them to church and waits. Well, when Sunday School was over, the young people go to the sanctuary first, I guess, and they leave the door open. Well, Rita said they had just walked into the sanctuary and the stray dog must have seen them, walked right in and walked right up to the altar!. Ivan, her husband, got her to follow him outside so he could shut the door. When they came out of church, there she was! Pretty soon, we are going to have to name her rather than call her stray dog all the time! ![]() Some people go to the Methodist church because that is where everybody goes, but we just can't. We don't believe in their doctrine; we think they are too liberal in their views. Someone who is a member there said, "why don't you come to our church, we welcome everyone, etc. As you said, people don't understand where we are coming from and can't understand our beliefs, etc. Before I take up your lunch time reading this, I will STOP! I have taken so long posting this, I can now say "Good Afternoon"! Hope that your day is going well. I actually have a few other things to mention to you, but I will jot them down for later! Love ya, LadyRae ![]() |

I love your long posts and stories!!!
Ahhh! Gods' creations, I know what you mean about that! I love watching them too. Isn't awesome how God lets us experience that, and it's just seems so personal doesn't it! Like He is doing that just for us.
I love Him!!! ![]() And how sweet the little stray dog to follow that couple to church and wait for them. Doesn't that make you want to cry! ![]() I really don't know how to handle that either, I would try to ignore the dog but it would be so hard. And then again, maybe the Lord brought him around for some reason. I just know that it's hard to see a stray dog and everytime I'm driving around and I see one, I always get teary eyed and start praying for it. Am I weird for doing that? I want to got Israel so bad!!! I do need to save money, I don't know when I'll be able to go. So many Christian organizations are going and I don't know who to go with LOL! Oh boy do I got to go to the bathroom!!!!! ![]() I'll write more in a little bit! Love Ya,!!! |

Isn't it funny how you step on a scale to weigh yourself and depending on what part you step it shows you weigh more or less. Has that happened to you? It did this morning. I could show I lost another lb or stay the same.
I will probably take the higher of the 2. John said that I need a digital scale. I don't know what kind I need to buy. I may be going to perimenopause! Well if you read that post you'll know what I mean. I guess it is possible, my mom started when she was in her later 40's. I don't want to be in that yet, but I guess you can still have your TOM and hopefull get pregnant. I want to have a child before I go into that time of my life!!! I get really sad when I think I'm pregnant, then TOM comes and I start crying, just to myself. I don't even let John know. I know one day I will have a baby, whether natural or adoption! Nope didn't lose anything, and didn't gain anything, I'm just the same. I've been eating ice cream the last two nights. I don't think I will today. I'm a slow loser! LOL That sounded funny, didn't it! We should get t-shirts made up saying, "I'm a Loser!" Wouldn't that be funny, then if someone wonders what that means, then we could tell them. Okay, time to do some work. I have to type a letter to a homeowner and it's hard to do. These people who's house we built are slowing destroying it! We have had to send our plumber out there to fix there kitchen sink. It's a long story and I need to let them know that we are going to have to charge them for these maintainence work, done from their destruction or the house and not by our error. Some people don't take care of what God gave them. I don't get it! Okay I'll talk to you later again! Love, |

I wanted to tell you about this.
I bought a couple of sugar free Torani syrups and I looked on their websight and OMG you should see what kind of frozen, shakes and cold drinks you can make with those syrups. You can make frozen lattes, soda drinks, shake type drinks and so on. Some of those drinks that take milk, I would substitute with the half heavy cream and water and then just add the rest of the ingredients and it is virtually carb free!!!!! If you can get your hands on one of those, buy one, but check out the websit, torani.com, then go to the bottom of the page and click on Recipe Gallery. From there on the yellow box the first bar find sugar free cold drinks, then click search. I'm going to try one this weekend. I bought the caramel, chocolate and raspberry flavors. They're 3.99 for a nice size bottle about a liter I think. So how are you doing, I bet you are keeping busy with what you have going on at home, but how rewarding it will be when you are done! Okay talk to you later again!! Love Ya!! Last edited by Determinedtolose; 09-10-2007 at 04:10 PM.. |

Ladidi, I read your post about TOM, and I sympathize with your problems. I can't remember exactly when I started going through menopause, you would think that I would, but I basically just stopped having periods and that was that. I wouldn't know how this WOE affects TOM, but from reading the posts, it sounds as though it does.
I haven't said anything about children because that is so private between you and John, but since you mentioned adoption, have you checked on that? I was also wondering what you thought about fertility doctors, etc. I have always wondered if I would have gone that far. I'm not sure that I believe that is the way to go. God creates all life, so I think that is enough for me. But then, I know some women want a child so much that they will go to any lengths, right or wrong. I need to start dinner right now, but I do still have some other things to write to you about, nothing earth-shattering, just wondering about. I just realized that I haven't put clean sheets on the bed, either! ![]() I'll be back later! Love you, ladidi! ![]() ![]() ![]() LadyRae |

I have my note ready!
Sometimes I will jot down a few things as I think of them to ask you later.
I don't keep up with baseball too much, but I know that the World Series is not too far off. Are the Diamondbacks doing very well this year? Did you hear about the Buffalo Bills' tight end, Kevin Everett, that was hurt yesterday? He is evidently paralyzed, but I don't know how extensively yet. Isn't that sad? ![]() Another thing that I wanted to mention is the "health and wealth" preachers/evangelists or "word of faith" pastors/evangelists. I get so tired of those that preach about seed money, and you give and God will give you more, etc. I don't think that God owes us anything; we owe Him everything! Some of these "preachers" are driving around in Rolls Royces, living in million-dollar homes, own jets, etc. It is so wrong. I have even heard some preach that if you are sick, it's because you don't give, etc. Apostacy. The Bible does tell us that in the latter days, there will be more "falling away" and a "tickling of the ears", saying whatever people want to hear. We sure are seeing that!! Okay, after I read your post about TOM, I thought that I had never really looked at any of the other threads about health, etc., and I have been wondering about Hoodia. I wondered if anyone had taken it, or was it just a gimmick? Anyway, I found a thread about CLA/GLA that was very interesting! Have you read it? I think it is the 2nd or 3rd on down from the top; I will have to look again. I would like to do some more reading on those threads. I will check out the Torani site, too. I have about 7 or 8 s/f DaVinci's, but I would think I could use the same recipes. Where did you find the s/f Torani's; that is an excellent price! ![]() I think that I will call it a night; I'm tired. I wonder if you are still up; you probably are! Restful sleep to you, ladidi! Love you, ![]() LadyRae |

I almost dread September 11th tomorrow. Since that day, nothing is the same. You wonder what is coming, but, ultimately, we know that God is in control, and these things must "come about" before the end. That is for another day; I'm probably not even making sense now.
Good night again! |

Good Morning!!
I was just reading your post. Yes, 9/11, every year it will be a sad reminder of what happened. One of my brothers birthday is today too! We're going to his house later today to wish him a HB. He couldn't celebrate for awhile there, but eventually was okay. He is a Christian too! His wife is a former Captain in the Air Force and served in the medical field. She's very nice, but she has a thing with trying to be perfect, instead of relying on the Lord, she, well I don't know how to put it. I guess being a Capt, she still carries that persona, if you will, about being in that position. She is sweet, nice and generous. She is the one who has dealt with people on drugs and even headed that intervention for my bil. Her son had a meth problem too and she had to let him do his thing. She prayed for him continuoulsy, and after about 3 years, her son is now drug free, received the Lord and is living a normal life. God is so good!!!! So anyway, where going to there house today for awhile. She wants to order pizza, and I definately don't want to eat that, I hope she understands that if I don't eat anything. I'm going to eat before I leave. I agree with you on some of thos faith type preachers, I don't like watching one's like Benny Hinn, and others like him. I saw him in person one time, when he came to Arizona. He had a lot of controversy about him some time ago, but I guess if he was doing something wrong, the Lord would have removed his ministry. And they do have lots of "things" don't they. I ususally watch who the Lord leads me to. I pray that we don't fally away or even become deceived. You know who I'll watch from time to time, the show is called Spiritual Warfare, and the person's name is Rabbi Moshe Laurie. He is a Messanic Jew, he's really good. He talks about the terrorists and what they believe, he goes into detail and has even said that he doesn't care if he offends them, he wants to speake the truth. He even invites them to send him letters or emails if they want to ask him something. He's very interesting to listen to, kind of a burly looking guy, very endearing too. I'm going to check out that thread about Hoodia, I know people are supposed to lose weight on that. I bought the Torani at Smart and Final, and at BevMo stores. But I believe on their website, they have a store locator, you can probably find were they have that in your area. I think Da Vinci's are the same thing right? I think it's so sad about that football player, omg, so terrible! I can't imagine how to even deal with that. The bright side I guess, if there is one, is that he has money and he can afford alot more to take care of himself, more than the average person, if that happened to them. You're so sweet to keep mentioning about my picture. I just got tired of looking at myself all the time. I wanted a picture that was a little more colorful, lol!!! If I can get another one up there I will. I'll put one up with me wearing my glasses. If I can. Well, it's shower time for me, so Ill check in at work and talk to you later. It doesn't matter what happened 6 years ago, the Lord is still in control and "This is the day the Lord has made, we will be glad and rejoice in it" ![]() Right!!! Love Ya, |

Hello again!
How are you doing now that the sun has come up and I'm not writing in the dark. You want to hear something weird? My dad since I don't know how long, claims to always see weird things. He was just telling my sister that he saw her walking from the dining table area to her room. My sister said that she was asleep and didn't come out of the room! My dad always see's weird things like that. He's like that movie the "six sense" lol! I've been trying to write this, but I keep getting interrupted to do different things. I have to be strong today. When we go to my brothers house, my sil wants us to bring over pizza and I don't want to be tempted to it any. So I plan on eating before we go there. I think it would be gross for me to pick the cheese and meat and eat it, then leave the dough. ![]() Have you checked out the Playground is lately? I wonder how everyone is doing there? I think I should be able to get on there by the end of the month. Sounds like fun! Okay, I'm gonna go for now, I'll be lurking here and there. My light will be on, although I'll be surfing the web too, looking for a blueberry/peach cobbler recipe. I can't find anything low carb to make this weekend, so it's going to be high carb for everyone! Talk to you soon. Love Ya LadyRae!! ![]() |

It is a "perfect" day here! I wish it would be like this every day!
Well, good morning to you!
You have probably told me, but where does your brother, the one is has a birthday today, and his wife go to church? Did your sister and kids enjoy Calvary? I did want to say a little more about the "Health and Wealth" and "Word of Faith" movement. Quote:
I'm going to step down from my platform now! I am going to look up DaVinci's website, too, as soon as I finish this post. I am all over the place in this post, but I also wanted to say that I am glad that the Rabbi that you listen to does not try to placate the Muslims and Islamist beliefs. I'm glad that he is not afraid of offending them. I wish people would stop saying that true Islam is a peaceful religion. It is not; anyone that does not believe their way is to be put to death. Ultimately, their goal is the destruction of Israel and a Muslim world. It is a supernatural hatred beginning with Ishmael. If people could relate everything that is happening to the Bible, they could not help but see the Truth! I guess I stepped back up on my platform again! ![]() I'm going to get off for now, but I'll be baaaack! Love you, ladidi! ![]() ![]() ![]() LadyRae |

We listened to Mark's wife teach on Revelation and it was a little better this week.
She mainly stresses on the symbolism of the Lords appearance. Talking about His white hair, then she goes off on elderly people and how we need to show respect and how white hair is a good thing. Mainly things like that. Listen, I love the things you say, you know your stuff LaRae! I want to hear more!!!!! I don't mind hearing others teach, but I want the "meat", I don't want to foo foo around, you know what I mean? On the removal of ministry subject, let me explain what I meant. There was a church I went to when I rededicated my life to the Lord and the Pastor at that time okay. He wasn't very personal, at least I didn't think so. Being a baby Christian, all I saw was that he wanted money. I saw that his wife, who was very sweet, wore nice clothes and wore alot of nice gold jewlery. After I stopped going for a couple years, we went back and the Pastor had a hair weave done. He was all about appearances, even went as far as saying how those who are heavy need to lose weight. Not in that way, but boy he sure implied it and that's how we got it. As we kept going, a friend of mine returned to church too. Prior to that, me and my friend would talk about the Lord and she would show me teachings she had learned from the Lord. I started growing a little more in the Lord. Just enough to understand certain things. Well, so many things went on in the church at that time and they would do these teachings that to me, sounded off. The teachings were dry. Almost every weekend was like that. Then the associate Pastor was trying to get the people to do these get rich quick schemes. And they didn't want to pay taxes either. My friend and I thought, what is this all about? The AP's family were out of order too. They had a daughter who got pregnant out of wedlock and had a son who was unruly. We saw it all too. Well, down the road we stopped going. I could say more about that church but it would take forever. Now this Pastor doesn't have a church, he lost it, I don't know how or why or what. He has a traveling ministry. So he didn't lose his ministry per se, he just lost the church. The reason I know this is because I looked them up under the main head quarters that they are afflilated with and didn't see a church under his name. Just like Saul was removed as King because of his disobedience, and he was annointed. That's why I say the Pastors' church was removed. I think that if we as the congregation would have said something, those who discerned these things and prayed about it, then maybe something could have been done. But this Pastor had alot of "yes" people surrounding him. It's like he couldn't be touched. Now everyone is dispersed and going to different churches. Sounds like the church you used to go to. See that's why I stopped going. I didn't want to get caught up in the gossip and backbiting and all that stuff. So much drama in church now, it's ridiculous isn't it! I think that's why when I go back, John and I want to find a Messanic Congregation. They welcome Christian Gentiles. And I don't want you to get off your Platform, you stay on it as long as you want!!!! I know you are saying some good stuff on the Playground, you always do with me. I can't wait to read it! So how are you doing on your WOE! I did good so far. I don't want to get tempted to eat pizza and b-day cake tonight. Pray for me please!!! ![]() Thank you!! Well, I guess I'll go so you can have time to read this. I'll check back in before I go home. Love Ya LadyRae, and keep preaching and teaching!!!! ![]() Last edited by Determinedtolose; 09-11-2007 at 03:02 PM.. |

Boy, you were so right about that congregation/church that you posted about! What a sleazebag! People witness that and are turned away from God unless they are really knowledgeable. That just makes you sick at your stomach. The church we left and why would be a loooong story, also, but I think you get the idea. Do you know that we were the only ones to leave? One day after we sent letters explaining to about 20 members and the pastor why we were leaving, a young woman wrote a letter saying how she went camping with this pastor, and they slept together! They left him in the pulpit, and one deacon actually said "what the congregation doesn't know won't hurt them"! Isn't that unbelievable? That deacon is one that Kab works with. We knew that there were always young, single women visiting that church, and cars at the parsonage late at night, etc. A Pastor should be above reproach, even in [U]appearance[U]! That was something we had noticed and wondered about as well. Now, the pastor is accused, among many others, of having an affair with the wife of one of the deacons. He refuses to step down, and the deacons offered to PAY for him to go to school (he has no training)! He refused that even, and so it goes. It is just a horrible situation, and to think of all those that are turned away from the wrong-doing in that church. Horrible ---
Kab just got home (is it that time already?) so I will be back again later. I will pray for strength for you to ignore the pizza and cake. That's a tough one! ![]() Love you, ladidi! ![]() LadyRae |

Good Morning LaRae!
How are you? I'm doing good, I passed up pizza and cake yesterday, so happy about that! But you know, I'm still not losing. So I'm gathering up information on Atkins 72 thread to see what my problem is. Some ladies on there have lost alot of weight and some have met their goals. Like you, I don't know what to do. I know one thing, I'm not giving up!! That is not an option for or you and I, LOL! I'm eating what I'm supposed to and as I track my food on Fitday, there are some day that I'm not eating up to 20 carbs. I didn't realize that I wasn't eating that low of carbs. I know as soon as we get over this plateau, we are going to lose!! I know it, and if we continue to believe the Lord will make it happen for us. Faith is the key!! You know sometimes my dad say's some weird things and I don't know if it's because he himself wants to rile me up or if he is that ingnorant of the ways of God, I'm sure of that, or if it's the enemy trying to get him to rile me up. Yesterday he brougth up something about the terrorists and he said that we're gonna get another attack. I said well probably, but I said that I wasn't worried about it because I trust in the Lord and I'm in his care. Then he say's this, "only if we come back as babies, that's how we can be born again". I right away thought of the Nicodemus. Isn't that weird for him to say that? Well, I'm gonna check in and see if those ladies answered my questions. Feel free to check it out too. It's under Weight Loss Plans Atkins 72. Check on you Soon! Love Ya!! ![]() |

You are so good!!
I am so proud of you for passing up the cake and pizza!
That is not easy! When you posted that Everett was going to walk again, my first thought was of the Buffalo Bills team surrounding him and praying as they were putting him on the stretcher. He has a lot to be thankful for. I heard that there will still be some kind of damage, but then, they also said chances were slim for him walking, too! ![]() I will check out the Atkins '72 because I have been thinking of starting over with Induction again. I can't believe that you are losing; you are doing so well! Do you think that you are eating enough? ![]() I was tied up this morning when the "gas" man came to change out our meter, so I asked him about a possible leak in the heater in our "back room". Then he changed out the meter, but couldn't re-light the pilot light on our heat/air unit. He walked in here with muddy shoes three times adjusting the thermostat! It never would come on, so he said that I need to get a heat/air guy out to fix it. He said that the igniter was to weak to light the pilot, and that it was good to know this now. Well, I wasn't sure how I felt about that. It was fine last year, but he should know more than me, I guess! confused: He was here from 8:15am until 10:45am which I wasn't planning on! He said that they change out gas meters after 30 years.Ladidi, I took a look at the LowCarb Menu Board this morning. I had never looked at that before, and it helped me to see what others are eating. Of course, some are on maintenance or WW, etc. so you have to look at that, but I found it helpful, too. I will check on the Atkins '72 now, and we'll compare notes! I'm pretty frustrated, but mostly with me, and I am ready to go back to Induction if I have to. Now is the time to take some action because we are still a ways out from the holidays, and I have that contest with my sister coming up the end of October (2nd weigh-in). We will do it; we just have some hurdles to make it interesting (or aggravating!). Talk to you after lunch! Love you! ![]() LadyRae |

Yes we will do it!!!
I was wondering, do you have a hard time with induction? I'm asking because in my mind, I'm thinking that it's going to be hard for me. Just the thought of it again. I don't know how to explain it, but I don't want to cheat and I don't want to be tempted too. Although I know that this is probably what I need to jump start the weight loss. So I'll be game to do it if you will. I just wanted to throw this in, but yes we'll talk after lunch and get a game plan going for us!!!! Sound good!!! Love Ya!!!! We're going to get thing!!!!!!! ![]() ![]() |

Ladidi, you are doing so well on this WOE that I don't really think you need to go to induction if you'd rather not. I can't understand why you are not losing!
Now for me, I have been getting sloppy, I think, and I think if I went back to induction, or at least, be more stringent with my eating, that I would also get motivated again seeing the scale move down, hopefully!! ![]() What if we started posted our menus for each day? We could start there, anyway. I had an Atkins bar this morning, my usual. - 2 net carbs, induction appropriate Lunch was 2 pieces of Linda Sue's Deep Dish Pizza - 4 carbs, 2 carbs each I know I should have had some salad or veggies, but it's hard for me to keep salad stuff since I only go to Enid about once a week or less. I need to find a solution for that. Dinner will be a taco salad, I think. I'll post the carbs later. I also made a s/f jello salad with cottage cheese and 0 carb whipped cream (s/f). On the Atkins '72 thread, you didn't say that you weren't losing. I wonder what they would have said. ![]() Don't know what to think about your Dad, but it sounds like he was trying to rile you. He must know what born again means. My Dad used to just change the subject every time anything came up about Christ, etc. Of course, back then, I wish I had known what I know now. Kab feels the same way about his parents, too. If he had known more back when they were younger and could, hopefully, comprehend more, maybe he could have gotten through to them. Because of their beliefs, we do not feel that they are saved. You pray for God to open their eyes, but their beliefs are so ingrained and narrow. I need to go for now, but I will be anxious to read what you think about all of this!! ![]() Love ya, love ya, love ya! LadyRae ![]() |

You're such a beautiful person!!!
![]() I don't know how you put up with sometimes! Yes, I think posting our meals would be good. You know what though, what I'm eating is no different from the induction. I don't eat alot of what I am able to eat, mainly because I have no imagination to make anything else. Plus I feel safe eating what I'm eating. Anyway, I know that if use LindaSue's recipes for induction, we can't go wrong. And I just started to buy frozen vegetables now. I know Walmart carries those huge bags of them. Next you can get those and use that as your vegetables!! Get some frozen cauliflower and make all kinds of things with that. Sounds good huh! I know she makes like a mock baked potato using broccoli, she puts cheese and bacon bits on it. Sounds good! So if just stay accountable with each other then it may be easier to do this. Not to mention, going on other threads to ask questions about what we're doing and if we can have a certain type of food or for any other question. I know the girls in Atkins 72 are strict! I don't know all there is about this, but I want to learn more. That sound good! We can do this LadyRae, we can and we will! ![]() Oh I can't stand anything that has to do with water meters and sewer taps and or things that have to take forever to get taken care of. I feel for you there! Okay, I'll go so you can read and do your thing. I'm so excited LadyRae, this is going to be good. We'll start fresh and no looking back or worry about yesterday, we will forge ahead!!! Love Ya, ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
