Hello gal's!!!
Glad to hear that you are doing so good HB!!! You are an inspiration!! When I dropped the weight before I had a similar experience and was just blown away when I realised I had been carrying that around every single day!! Course why I let myself put it back on is a story that does not make any sense at all...................
Seems you get a lot of good sales at that SavMart. Need to check if we have one in my general area.
Sorry to hear you are still struggling Teresa! Life is never easy. And being consistent in anything is so hard!!! I still believe in not quitting quitting!!! That is the lung cancer assc motto and they are so right cause finally the time came where I did actually stick with quitting & now it has been 2yrs & 3mos & 19days since I had a smoke
I have my foods ready to stay on track if I can get myself to commit emotionally....that is always the harder part of the struggle.
Have veggies & thin sliced pork roast & roast beef. Some cheeses. Eggs & tuna. I have some of the lc wraps in the freezer that Kathleen told us about & I'm tempted to get them out to help me get back off the crackers/bread. But then maybe I need to just let it alone for awhile.
HB the lc bread toasted w/ the splenda jam & butter with a cup of tea used to work good for me as a sweet treat--along with the sf jello & whipped cream. But this early in the game for you I don't know??? Would hate to see anything start to slow down the fabulous progress you are making. Can't wait for you to weigh---with all the walking that your body wasn't use to doing on top of the cheat free eating you should have another good drop I think!
I will have several hours alone today so I plan to get back on the Gazelle for a half hour & then make sure menus are jotted down on paper on the fridg so I just do the glance & grab when I get back to work Mon.
Things are still some what crazy here of course. Now my dh is having to help his mom w/all the paperwork etc. Plus she went to the hospital the other day as her heart was acting up. Turned out she'd not been taking her heart med's.....she's 85 & so stubborn.....
Well have a great Sat girls!!

Glad things are getting somewhat back to normal for you, Corrisann. You sure have been through a lot the last few months! And congratulations for giving up the smokes! That is a great accomplishment! Don't we wish we could give up overeating the same way! I wonder why we can't? I guess we're just constantly fighting the famine prevention genes! Now why can't our bodies catch up with our social environment!

A friend of mine told me at our lunch this week that she has been taking the Alii pills, and she has lost 7 lbs. But they don't control your appetite. She said you can only have 60 g. of fat per day, and limit calories to 1800. She lost 5 lbs. the first 6 weeks. I thought, well, anybody would if they did that without the pills! If you eat over the prescribed amount of fat, you get diarrhea! But she only had it once.

I just can't seem to get my emotions behind the plan either. You are right, though, Corrisann--we have to keep trying no matter what. One of these days it will take hold and we'll start losing again! Here's to it being this week! Rah! Let's get it going on! T.

Thanks for the Ali info Teresa. I had been planning on checking out their website when I got a chance. Was hoping for something that would help check the appetite w/o the upped heart rate or jitters. I agree, anyone who stuck to any reasonable eating plan would loose 5lbs in 6 weeks. So it's not the magic pill we're all wanting....LOL!!!!! With smoking you can at least walk away from it all together. With eating you have to take in at least a little bit to stay alive. And for most of us women we still have to buy it put it away cook it serve it to everyone else in the house, even if we never had to eat another crumb again..... my one client is one of those folks that truly just eats enough to fuel her body. She holds no real interest in food. It's amazing to me.
Speaking of clients/food, I had no idea that the packaged food was that expensive HB. Wow!! Her husband is a dentist & he holds lots of real estate w/several siblings so I know money isn't a problem for them. But they are very careful spenders so I am surprised at what they pay. No wonder the food smells so good when I fix it for her!!
Have you had any Indian food Teresa? With the way you love spices I think you'd like it. Had some a couple weeks ago w dh & ds at a India resturant that my dh used to go to with co workers a couple years back. The spices were great! Loved all the use of curry!! Spicey but not necessarily hot. I'm going to look up a curry chicken I use to make years ago--think it would be carb freindly just not to serve on rice. I think in most American foods we've just loaded them up with sugars, fats, sodium and not bothered much with spices. Too bad.
Well dh is calling me so I must go
Enjoy your Sunday gal's!!

Sunday greetings, gals--

Funny you should mention curry, Corrisann; I was just thinking about trying to make a curried chicken breast! I had some last week at a jazz club, and it was delish! The only bad part was the rice and the fruit chutney that went with it, which I couldn't resist. But I don't see any problem with just the curry spices themselves. Seems like you could make it with cream or coconut milk and it would be good, so I think I might try that.

I pigged out again yesterday at the bakery on cupcakes, man, I have been so out of control! But now I am trying hard to get back toward induction or thereabouts. I seemed to do better when we were posting menus, so I am going to start doing that again. And set mini-goals. My first one is to lose 8 lbs. and break 150 before Mar. 1 when we go to Tucson for the Spring Chamber Music Festival and I always overeat there! They have so many good restaurants there, and a lot of ethnic food I love, so I've got to get myself under control before I go there again.

Today's weight - 157 Goal - 149 before Mar. 1

B - egg, lox, cr ch, spinach
L - Greek salad, grilled chicken
D - salmon, okra, eggplant w/tomatoes, peppers
S - cheese, almonds

Hope you all are having a nice weekend, T.

WENT TO THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE AND........

269.2 LBS.!!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!! I LOVE ATKINS!!!!!

Losing this much in just two months makes me sort of scoff at your friend's weight loss (bless her). I've lost a tiny bit over 35 lbs in about 8 weeks!! AMAZING!!

I LMAO when I read that, T & Corrisann! It's like !! I'm finding the "magic" key is Atkins, where I can eat a juicy fried pork chop with the fat or a chicken piece complete with the skin and lose this much weight!! Now THAT'S a BLOOMING MIRACLE!!!

Quote:
I wish I were doing better--I'm still on a binge of Chinese food, and a friend had a birthday lunch today, so there were desserts... I just can't get myself back on program and I feel terrible! I hope this doesn't last much longer.

Don't we wish we could give up overeating the same way! I wonder why we can't?
T , I am really hearing you about the food. I used to feel the food controlled me instead of the other way around! Not any more. Years ago I read a book that was recommended to me by a Public Health Nurse called Overcoming Overeating. It took me years to finally "get around" to buying it, and more years to read it, absorb it, and understand it, but once I did, I actually Overcame Overeating! I'll admit, I gained 50 lbs. in the process, the same 50 lbs. I am peeling off now with Atkins, but if I had it to do all over again, I'd read that book again, and gain that wgt. all over again, just to have the knowledge and power it gives. The reason I say that is that now I have a deeper understanding of myself and I don't have those overwhelming cravings anymore. I used to!! A 2-lb. box of See's Candies in one sitting was NOTHING for me!! I just couldn't resist certain things. I am a foodie. I LOVE FOOD!! But I can walk away from it now, too. My problem was, up until November 21st of last year and ATKINS!, that 50 lb. wgt. gain was piled on top of an extra 100 lbs. that I was already carrying! I neither overate nor lost wgt. I stayed at about 300 lbs. and didn't know HOW to lose it without feeling deprived. I KNOW NOW!!! APPARENTLY SO, HUH!! 269.3!! WOOT!!

Atkins is, for me, just like a wonderful magic key that unlocks the fat I have been carrying for so long! I haven't "just started Atkins last Nov.", et voila! 35 lbs. is gone! Oh, no NO!! I have been at this wgt. loss thing for 43 yrs! Even longer, if you count, "Honey, you have to take acrobats and dance b/c you are fat!" (which wasn't true!) My mom said that to me. She was/is a vicious and mean person, to the point of emotional and physical abuse all my life, and I've had to deal with those issues before I could let go of my obesity. But I think I am ready now. In fact, I am going to a party my mom will be at tonight, a FRIGGIN' DINNER , and I hope I am ok. I'm going to eat "0 carb" pork chops BEFORE I go, eat what I can eat on Atkins (and NOTHING MORE), and beg off eating anything more ("Funny. I'm not feeling too well. Sry."). It's my niece's birthday party. If I am asked if I've lost weight, I am going to say, "What?! Uh...no! But ty anyway!" and laugh it off. If my mom knows I'm losing weight she will become upset and jealous of me as she always has in the past. She is a real nutcake! She will turn herself inside out to sabotage me! And I won't have it!!!! I have already decided to cut her loose if she does ANYTHING to try and sabotage me!! I will not put up with that!!! PERIOD!!

I'll be ok.

I wouldn't doubt it! It looked scrumptious! But the prices!! OY!!

Well, staying with my Goodie Two Shoes image, I am also a former smoker. Oct. 19,1990 was my last smoke. I can tell you, it DOES get easier! You are almost past the worst of it now. I used to love to get a whiff of some passer-by's cigarette, but that was before I quit for good. Now it just STINKS! I think it takes a certain mindset, sort of like this diet business. When you are REALLY READY, then and ONLY then will you actually QUIT! Otherwise, it's just lip service. Like Mark Twain said: "I can stop smoking whenever I want! I've done it a 1000 times!" Congrats on your being a non-smoker, Corrisann!!

Congratulations, HB, on your walking and doing good on your food!
It's so great to be making recognizable progress--that compliment from your coworker must have really felt great! That's a good motivator.
TY Gals!! It really did feel great! She is not the sort to compliment frivolously either! Since she noticed, and I then walked, I have decided to walk daily (weather and health permitting, of course, but that shouldn't be much of an issue). I have also decided to make it a treat for myself by going to the local library and checking out some books on CD and listen to them ONLY while doing that walk! That way, to find out what's happening on my book, I HAVE TO WALK that extra 25min/day! Before I know it, I'll be back to the yard, and then I'll go eat a PORK CHOP! AND LOSE MORE WEIGHT! What a diet plan!!

Well, life is passing me by...gotta go get ready for next week! I'm going to try to make cranberry sauce this afternoon (my first time making homemade) for some turkey breast I bought. It'll kind of make up for the trauma over Thanksgiving (I hope!). WISH ME LUCK!! And the BEST of luck to you, too!!!

HB

ONE LAST THING...

T, how about trying these yummy low carb muffins (5 star rating!!) to take the edge off that craving?

Quote:

Reviewer: Kathleen in Ohio
When doing this review, first, I reminded myself that these are low carb muffins, and not ones that are high in fat and high in carbs. After doing that, I had to give them a rating of 5. I have had other low carb treats that often taste dry and like cardboard. These carrot muffins were moist and tasty. In addition, they are very quick and easy to make. This makes it easy to whip them up in no time - especially when you want something good to eat and feel that you might "fall off the wagon" and eat something you shouldn't. I took a small amount of cream cheese and mixed it with some Splenda. I spread this on the muffins and it tasted just like cream cheese frosting. Both my husband and I loved them and will order them again. Highly recommended.
You make them from a Dixie Diner Muffin Mix bought on Netrition.com. And you can freeze them for future use, esp. when dh comes in with PIE!!

I'm going to try them and I'll let you know. I bought these "muffin top" muffin tins online a while back. THEY ARE GREAT! They only make the "muffin tops", which are the yummiest part, and if these are low carb and then I frost them with cream cheese/liq. Splenda frosting...OMG!!! = MUFFIN HEAVEN! Should take a week or two for everything to get here, but I will let you know if they are as good as they sound as soon as I make them!

They also have cakes, etc. Maybe check it out?

HUGS TO YOU!!!

HB (always thinkin'!)

And here is the frosting! =9

LOW-CARB CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
cream cheese frosting.JPG
8 oz softened cream cheese
3/4 cup Splenda
1 tsp vanilla or 1½ tablespoons lemon juice
  1. Mix together well.
  2. Process softened cream cheese in a food processor until smooth. (I use electric beaters)
  3. Add Splenda and vanilla or lemon juice and process until smooth.
(The lemon juice is optional, add it if you like a tart taste)

AND...

LOW CARB CRANBERRY SAUCE.JPG

"I love cranberry sauce, but they don't put sugar-free cranberry sauce in a can. Good thing it is so easy to make from scratch!"

LOW-CARB CRANBERRY SAUCE

1 bag cranberries
1 cup water
3/4 to 1 cup Splenda or other artificial sweetener

Cook until berries swell up and pop. (this will happen by the time it comes to a rolling boil) Mash and serve. 30 calories and 5 net carbs per 1/2 cup.

Congratulations, HB on another great weigh-in! Ain't that great! and it's sooo motivating. And good for you to be thinking ahead and planning to have success at your niece's birthday dinner. Too bad your mom tries to sabotage you--at her age? That is an incredible challenge for you, and I'm sorry you have to go through that. Sounds like a wise decision to keep your weight loss low key. Hope you manage to have a nice time anyway!

Thanks for the recipes--the muffin sounds yummy--let us know how it turns out. I think I am finally getting back on track. I had a cheat free day today and am determined to plan my meals from now on and NO CHEATS!!! I can no longer tell myself I can have some dessert today and make up for it tomorrow; it just does not happen that way. It always sets me off on a binge for several days, and besides, anything that has starch in it causes me more physical pain, so I have really got to avoid it. I do best when I keep carbs close to 20. That's hard, but I am short and have a slow metabolism and can't exercise a lot, so I have no wiggleroom! I'm just going to try to keep setting these mini-goals so it doesn't seem overwhelming that I have 30 plus more lbs. to lose. For now, it's 8 lbs. That will be challenging enough, but sounds do-able. TTYL, T.

Yay! I managed a cheat-free day yesterday, and am down a lb. Trying to get back to basics; here's today's menu:

B - egg yolk, spinach, sausage
L - shrimp salad w/ creamy dressing and some cheese
D - chicken breast, sm salad, green beans
S - cheese, few almonds, lc choc

Went to the gym yesterday and did 10 min. on the bike after dinner. Going for another back to basics, cheat-free day today, One Day At A Time! T.

Congrats on the cheat free day Teresa!!! It is 7pm here & I have up to this point had a good day also. Lots of times I have a good day up till this point & then blow it with nite time nibbling....but I feel pretty good at this point. Have had 2 nice hot cups of tea (temp here is around 9) & am chewing some sf gum.
I have that muffin top pan HB. Got it for some little lc bread circles that were the rage on this site 3yrs back. They were good. Let us know how the muffin mix works out. The cc frosting should be good!
That's great on the exercise Teresa! We all know how important that is.....I of course lost the pattern I just gotten back into with all the happenings over the past 2 weeks. But I plan to start back in tomorrow morning.
Plus I will get in a lot of walking as I have a couple gift cards to use at the mall.
Teresa what is it about the starch that bothers our joints?? I don't know---but sure feel the reality of it when I kill myself with it. Expecially all my knuckles!! Have to get out my Tylenol Arthritis formula & take for a couple days every time....
I think I may check into reading that book HB. I made really good progress earlier last year sorting a lot of things out so that when I lost this time I wouldn't end up putting it all back on. Even did wonderful on vacation w/o feeling deprived!! Then we came home to my dh losing his job & me starting in w/65hr weeks for 2 1/2mo's & now fil's death so I kind of lost my momentum thru it all. But you are right, it is like the quitting smoking--just have to get my mind set to the point where I won't eat wrong no matter what. My sil & her boyfriend smoke & it actually gave me a bad headache being around it for several days.
That's a great party plan HB! And I wouldn't tell anyone, including your mom, too much about the Atkins diet. Folks drove me crazy with it so I just went about my business w/o saying a word. When I'd dropped 39lbs & couldn't act like I hadn't dropped 2 sizes I just said yeah I'm trying to whip myself into shape cause I'm turning 50 soon & folks laughed at that & let the subject drop. My dh's mom plays those games w/him & his sister. It is a sick terrible thing to play such mind games w/ your own children.....
Bkf=candian bacon & colby cheese & coffee w/cream
L=tuna salad
D=homemade veggie soup w/ham pieces
S=3 dill pickles
I'm noting my calories along with my carbs as they can hold you back too. Have a lc ice cream bar for later tonight if I'm feeling weak while watching the Australian Open. Tomorrow will pretty much be the same. Am off tomorrow so I can look for what I am going to do for Wed then.
Later--
corrisann

Glad to hear that you're getting back on track, Corrisann--you sure have had a rough time the past couple of months, and I think you have done extremely well through it all! You could have gained back a whole lot more weight than you did, and you sure kept things together for your family while your dh was out of work, and then his father dying--wow! Wish I were there to give you a big hug!

So starch bothers you, too? For me, it's about an inflammatory reaction due to a bacteria that caused my spondyloarthritis. The bacteria feed on starch and multiply, and the body mounts an inflammatory reaction that attacks joints and tendons. Even if the bacteria may no longer be around, the body has been reacting for so long to starchy food, it has an automatic pattern. You don't have Chrohn's or anything, do you? Lower back pain, neck and/or shoulder pain in addition to foot pain? I hope you don't have what I have! Anyway, I find I feel so much better on Atkins, I don't know why I ever venture off of it!

Well, I had a cheat-free day today--going for another tomorrow. Hope you gals are having a pleasant evening, and staying warm! See ya in the morning! T.

Good morning gals!!
It's 9:30a.m. & I'm sitting in my own home having my morning coffee watching the snow fall--how great is that!!!! It's that lite pretty snow like a Christmas card!

Crept on the scale this morning & I'm at 239. That I can handle. I'm at the point I was at 3yrs ago. And since I was cheat free for 3 months I, like HB, was at 200 at the end of those 3 mo's. So I could be feeling pretty good come spring if I can keep my mind together.....

Thanks for all the info Teresa. I haven't had anything checked out but I sure hope I don't have Chrohn's!! Have aches in all those spots at different times but nothing severe at this point. When I put all my weight back on this last time was when I noticed the starch/knuckles issue & couldn't figure out how on earth the 2 were related....Have you had Chrohn's long? Sorry you have to struggle so much!! And congrats on the good day--2 in a row!!

Couldn't find my curry chicken recipe last nite Teresa. Am going to look more thoroughly today since I'll have the time. Have a real taste for it now that we talked about it.
Want to get some things cooked ahead & in the freezer for when I'm back to my regular work schedule next week. And dh needs things to take in his lunch.

Well I am off to the Gazelle before the day gets away from me. Am skipping the mall I think. Just want to relax at home. Eat richly & correctly ladies!
corrisann
Bkf=coffee w/cream scrambled eggs half a grapefruit
L=tuna salad
D=curry chicken (I hope!) veggies
S=lc ice cream bar or sf jello if I get out & buy some whipped cream

I AM SOOOOOOOO PROUD OF YOU BOTH!!!! You are inspiring me even more now!!

I will have some time this week more than now. I have to tell you about these OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD BURGERS I got at Costco. They are called FARMER'S ACRE BLUE CHEESE ANGUS BURGERS! 50 secs. in the microwave and they taste like they just came off the grill!!! Right up your alley, T!

More later...GOT to run!!!

HB that's a great idea re books on tape. Have a friend who lost around 70lb about 6yrs ago on WW's (& she has kept it off) and that is how she helped herself along w/exercise. She uses the books when jogging & movies when using her treadmill. Won't let herself hear one single word more once she stops exercising. Says it's really helped her go the extra distance many a time cause she just couldn't break the story off at that point!!

Ended up eating totally different today but it was all legal so it's ok. Just got to change my mind since I was standing in my kitchen at meal time. Did bkf as planned but for lunch & dinner I laid 2oz of thin slices of roast beef on a plate, some mild banana pepper slices on that, then a 1/2oz of shredded mexican cheese blend on top & micro'ed till cheese was melted. Then put 2tbsp of sour cream on the top. Was so simple but just really hit my taste buds dead on today!! Actually held me very well too. Then had baby dill gerkins as my snack. Didn't get on the Gazelle either, but I did shovel the snow as we ended up w/3". So that was my exercise.

Hate it when that happens HB!!! And it nevers seems to be a single paragraph message that it happens to either...LOL!!! The burgers sound great but are they only blue cheese?? I don't like blue cheese. Kroger's is having their pork loin for $1.59lb this week w/a limit of 3 so I'd like to get 3 & come home & cut some into chops & leave some for roasts and get them in the freezer. It's so cold I can get them on the way to work & leave them in the cooler in the trunk till I come home. Costco has a box of Lamb Shanks Bocco something I think it's called that my clients husband gets. They are Italian & she said it was very good. Easy too as she's the gal w/MS that doesn't cook. Being Costco I'd say it's not going to cost like the
Home Bistro stuff they use, ha!

Well it's after 11 so I should head off to bed. Tomorrow I work half day so it's still not too bad.

Menu:
bkf=coffee w/cream scrambled eggs w/cheese
L=tuna macaroni salad made up w/ww pasta
D=homemade veg soup (this is when I really miss crackers....) orange
S=sf jello or lc ice cream bar or dill pickles (avoiding the nuts for awhile due to the calories Teresa)

Hi, Gals--

So great to hear how well everyone is doing right now! Corrisann, 239 is great considering all you've been through--you hardly gained at all! We are getting a really good start to the year now, as opposed to starting last summer, so we are going to go gangbusters this year--Woo Hoo!

HB, the burgers sound like a good thing to have around. Most of my friends go to Costco and get the best stuff, but I have a very hard time walking the hard floors of such a big store. I'm going to have to get one of them to pick some things up for me! I have been able to cook a little bit lately, tho, and made the best halibut tonight--just simple, with olive oil, green onions, tomatoes, soy sauce and lemon. Yum! And Corrisann, I got some cut up chicken and am going to try making curry tomorrow with coconut milk and maybe a little cream, garlic, onions, bell peppers, green beans and cauliflower all simmered together. I think it will come out OK.

I managed another cheat-free day today, so four in a row! Trying to keep it up one day at a time, and planning meals ahead. My menu today was:
B - lox, cr ch, egg, spinach
L - salad, w/creamy cucumber dressing, chicken and shrimp
D - Halibut, cauliflower, green beans
S - cheese, few almonds, lc choc

Went to the gym and rode the bike at home for 10 min. after dinner. P.S. Corrisann, that thing you made w/ the meat & cheese sounded terrific! And the snow sounds so pretty! We actually got some on the mountains around here, which doesn't happen that often. You get any snow up where you are, HB? Take care, see ya tomorrow! T.

Great on the 4 days in a row Teresa!! I did yesterday too so that makes 2 for me. Think today will be fine too as I can feel that my mind set is good--if ya know what I mean.
Have today & tomorrow off and plan on getting some food made ahead for next week. Your fish sounds great Teresa--can you give me some sort of measurements on the ingredients?? I'm not much of a "toss ingredients into a pan" kind of a gal.... I'm sure your friends would be happy to pick some things up for you! Or swallow your pride & ride one of the carts thru the store. I've went with a couple friends that had knee surgeries & couldn't walk. Those carts are great!!
Was so hungry when I got in from work last nite that I ate about 4oz of fish w/ some sour cream. Shouldn't have eaten that late & then went to bed on it.....also I just can't weigh every day...it just throws me every time. Over the last 3 days I went 239-238-239 & of course I hated bouncing down & back!!! Especially when my only flaw was eating at 9:30pm. Plus all that exercise I'd had! When I weigh each day I get frustrated & loose track of the fact that ones #'s bounce naturally even if it's 104-103-104...LOL!!!!! Had read earlier in the day about this lady who started Jan 07 & in Nov 07 had lost 61lbs--& I was all for that & felt encouraged!! Then stepped on the scale this a.m. & had to work myself thru that. HB has a better idea I think--especially if this is our wol & will just go on no matter what the #'s are. Anyway I've yammered on about this before & am just refreshing myself to go out & face my day renewed. Hope you 2 have a good strong day!!
B=2 eggs 1 oz colby coffee w/cream
L=? eating out with mom & day--not a problem as I never overeat in front of my mom...LOL
D=depends on what I have for lunch but I have food set to eat
Off to get dressed to go to mom's--great day ladies

Right, Corrisann, it's not a great idea to weigh yourself every day, if you have the strength not to! Since I have addictive behavior, I haven't been able to kick that habit yet! But I try not to let it get me down if I go up a little; if I know I've stayed on plan, it's probably just salt or whatever. The great thing is I've had 5 cheat-free days now, and that feels great, even tho I haven't had any drop in 3 days. It will come, if I stay true to the plan.

Here's how I make the fish--Heat some olive oil in a pan. Chop up one green onion and about half a tomato and saute them together. Put the fish in and throw some soy sauce and lemon juice on top. Cook on low heat 5 min. on each side (I usually use a lid) if it's about an inch thick. (The rule is 10 min. per inch for fish.) It's quick and easy, and tasty. I'm going to try the chicken curry tonight.

HB--how's it goin, Girl?

Today's menu:
B - lox, spinach, egg
L - shrimp salad
D - chicken curry w/green beans, cauliflower, onions and bell peppers
S - cheese, few almonds

Here's to another day of all of us kickin the bad habits! T.

Had lunch at the Longhorn w/ my folks & had the wonderful chicken breast w/the bacon & cheese. Yum!!
This evening while looking in the freezer for something for dh's lunch tomorrow I found a container with some bread pudding I had made in Dec. Was out of my Splenda cookbook so they was no sugar & I think it was a low fat kind of a recipe. Plus you used ww bread. Was curious as I love bread pudding & so does a friend that came over. We all had a piece & she was suppose to take the rest home, forgot it, so into my freezer it went. So yes this is all leading up to saying that I warmed it in the micro & sprayed some whipped cream on it. We enjoyed it & now it's gone. Tomorrow is another day, I'm not turning this into a 4 day excuse to eat. Was looking at myself in the big mirror on my moms wall in the dining room & that was enough to make me stick with it....lord have mercy some days it is just a shock to catch sight of yourself
So now I am off to pack dh's lunch for real....& set up my food for tomorrow. The fish dish sounds great & easy Teresa. Thanks! How did the curry come out?
Bkf=egg/spinach/mushroom frittita coffee w/cream
L=salad w/tuna
D=chicken wings & veggies
S=sf jello w/whipped cream
