Oh I am here. Just too embarrased to post much. I have pretty much eaten everything in the house. Thankfully it is all lowcarb but it adds up. Trying to catch up on housework and dreading tommorow only because it starts to early for me. I have to take my son to hospital for a barium swallow. We have to do be there for 8:15 am and have to take two buses. My dd
's are going to have to get themselves ready for school without me there.nagging. Oh the horrors, hehe. I can just imagine what the house will look like when I get back home. Towels, clothes, makeup and dishes everywhere.

I'm around. It's been hard trying to take care of granny and staying on plan. I've mostly taken to not eating much right now because I'm so stressed. I had to fire the live-in companion we hired for her. She just wasn't doing what she was suppose to. She arrived at 8:00 and was a sleep by 9:00. Didn't say much to granny at all. I took care of her until 1:00 then I left. Granny said the girl just stayed up in the living room and didn't socialize with her, then left for the store at 6:30 for rubber gloves and didn't return until 9:30. Granny tried to get to the bathroom by herself and almost feel and broke a glass. Plus she ended up sitting in the dark for an hour since she can't get around, i'll have to get her a clapper. lol.

Good morning everyone. I had the craziest dream last night. I dreamt that Bruce Willis and I were at a golf game and neither one of us could play properly for some reason. Turned out the golf balls were actually rolled up cloth and we were suppose to roll them back up and place them in a box for the next people. We couldn't figure out how to roll them tightly and so we were walking around trying to figure it out when Bruce came to a coffee table in the middle of the course and on the table was a board game that belonged to his son(I don't think he has a son in real life, lol) and I remarked that my kids play that game all the time with a teenage kid with asian features. That's my kid he tells me and says he really likes having my kids come over and hang out as they are so well behaved. Thats when I knew it was a dream, haha.
Anyhow so now I am totally awake and have a ton of stuff to do today but am feeling motivated so far. Have my coffee in front of me and made whole wheat pasta and sauce for lunch for my dd at school and both girls wanted some for breakfest so that was easy to do as well. |

I am doing pretty good today. I have had 12 glasses of water plus several cups of coffee too. I never drink that much water. The most I have ever had before was 9.

I am here girls, just been busy, I had a good friend pass away with cancer and we had her funeral so its been hard on me and sad. But I am trying to get back up to par and get on with my life now but it will be hard without her because we were so close and did everything together. Its going to be strange not to have her with me anymore.
I am doing ok with my eating, really I have not been eating much at all because I have been to down to have much of a appetite these last few days. But I am eating low carb and healthy, no junk food at all. Still trying to get all my water in to but thats hard to do. I have cut back on my diet pepsi though. Hope all of you are eating good to and please let me know if you need any help with anything, I am here for you anytime. A FACT TO THINK ABOUT Your stomach has to produce a new layer of mucus every two weeks or it will digest itself.

Sorry for your loss Mary. I haven't had much water today as I was just so tired all morning for some reason and then had a lot of running around to do this afternoon. Will try and catch up. Eating is good so far.

Back down to my lowest weight 265lbs. Really happy with myself.
Also this is incredible to me but today I went bra shopping and actually fit into more than one style. So had to choose due to lack of money. I started off at a 48DD and am now into a 40C size. |

Congrats on the smaller bra size. Even though i've lost 25lbs I haven't gone down in size ANYWHERE. UGH. B: 2 fried eggs 5 strawberries L: tuna and salad D: Not sure yet |

I am bacik but still not feeling all better yet, just tired mostly. Saw my doctor again on Friday and he gave me more antibotics because I still had alot of congestion in my chest and was even still running a low grade fever to. But I am up now and not laying in bed feeling terrible all day like I was doing all last week. Give me another week and I will be as good as new.
how is your eating going these days? hope better than mine has been. My hubby has been bringing home fast food since I have felt bad and he know that is a no no for me. but I know he is tired when he gets home and don't want to cook so I forgive him. Tonight for supper we are having a vegetable beef stew, I have it in the croc pot cooking. We had so many veggies out the garden that we need to use them up. We do freeze alot and give alot to our neighbors to. Wish you all were here to get some of them. We have any veggie imagable. Right now some are beginning to die out because they cannot take this heat we have here but the tomatoes and others love it, its mostly the leafy veggies that don't like this heat, so I guess I will have to go buy some lettuce until fall gets here and we can plant some more of it. Do any of you plant a garden? Its so much fun to. we started ours about six years ago just as a hobby, we had never grown anything in our lives, so we started with a few tomatoes and peppers and only had a samll plot but now its grown into a full size garden and takes up the entire far back corner of our yard. I am still doing my crafts to, made some purses and also some more jewerly. A friend of mine had a birthday and she likes the jewerly so I made her some for a gift. It occupies my time when I cannot get out the house. My knees have been hurting me alot still and I did get some more injections in them and am wearing my knee brace to on it. So working on all my crafts help keep me from getting bored. Have any of youy lost any more of your weight? I have not and was disappointed because I thought I had. So I plan to get real streick again like I was and lose some more this summer. Don't know what has happened, I lost so good to start with and now...well thats a different story. I thnk I am eating the same, I just know I don't get the exercise like I use to do, thats the only thing that has changed and I am on alot more medication to, so maybe they are the culpit in me not losing like I use to do. But I am still low carbing and eating healthy.... will get back later, take care and post and let me kow how you are doing and if you need anything. |

MoMo, here is something interesting. Maybe some of these foods may help you with your eating and help curb your appetite. I use it and I think it works to some degree. __________________________________________________ _____ 15 Foods To Help You Lose weight Want To Curb Your Appetite And Stop Sugar Cravings? Then Put These On Your Grocery List. A better way to get real weight-loss results? Go grocery shopping. New research points to more than a dozen foods, from beans to beef, that can help you fight hunger, kick your candy addiction, boost your metabolism-and ultimately shed pounds. And some of these superfoods deliver health bonuses too. 1. Eggs. Skip the bagel this morning. Eggs, which are full of protein, will help you feel fuller longer-a lot longer. A multicenter study of 30 overweight or obese women found that those who ate two scrambled eggs (with two slices of toast and a reduced-calorie fruit spread) consumed less for the next 36 hours than women who had a bagel breakfast of equal calories. Other research has shown that protein may also prevent spikes in blood sugar, which can lead to food cravings. 2. Beans. You've probably never heard of cholecystokinin, but it's one of your best weight-loss pals. This digestive hormone is a natural appetite suppressant. So how do you get more cholecystokinin? One way, report researchers at the University of California at Davis, is by eating beans: A study of eight men found that their levels of the hormone (which may work by keeping food in your stomach longer) were twice as high after a meal containing beans than after a low-fiber meal containing rice and dry milk. There's also some evidence that beans keep blood sugar on an even keel, so you can stave off hunger longer. Heart-health bonus: High-fiber beans can lower your cholesterol. 3. Salad. Do you tend to stuff yourself at meals? Control that calorie intake by starting with a large salad (but hold the creamy dressing). In a study of 42 women at Penn State University, those who ate a big, low-cal salad consumed 12 percent less pasta afterward-even though they were offered as much as they wanted. The secret, say researchers, is the sheer volume of a salad, which makes you feel too full to pig out. Health bonus: A study published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association found that people who ate one salad a day with dressing had higher levels of vitamins C and E, folic acid, lycopene, and carotenoids-all disease fighters-than those who didn't add salad to their daily menu. 4. Green tea. The slimming ingredient isn't caffeine. Antioxidants called catechins are what help speed metabolism and fat burning. In a recent Japanese study, 35 men who drank a bottle of oolong tea mixed with green tea catechins lost weight, boosted their metabolism, and had a significant drop in their body mass index. Health bonus: The participants also lowered their (bad) LDL cholesterol. 5. Pears. They're now recognized as having more fiber, thanks to a corrected calculation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. At six grams (formerly four grams) per medium-size pear, they're great at filling you up. Apples come in second, with about three grams per medium-size fruit. Both contain pectin fiber, which decreases blood-sugar levels, helping you avoid between-meal snacking. This may explain why, in a Brazilian study that lasted 12 weeks, overweight women who ate three small pears or apples a day lost more weight than women on the same diet who ate three oat cookies daily instead of the fruit. 6. Soup. A cup of chicken soup is as appetite blunting as a piece of chicken: That was the finding of a Purdue University study with 18 women and 13 men. Why? Researchers speculate that even the simplest soup satisfies hunger because your brain perceives it as filling. 7. Lean beef. It's what's for dinner-or should be, if you're trying to shed pounds. The amino acid leucine, which is abundant in proteins like meat and fish as well as in dairy products, can help you pare down while maintaining calorie-burning muscle. That's what it did for 24 overweight middle-aged women in a study at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Eating anywhere from nine to 10 ounces of beef a day on a roughly 1,700-calorie diet helped the women lose more weight, more fat, and less muscle mass than a control group consuming the same number of calories, but less protein. The beef eaters also had fewer hunger pangs. 8. Olive oil. Fight off middle-age pounds with extra virgin olive oil. A monounsaturated fat, it'll help you burn calories. In an Australian study, 12 postmenopausal women (ages 57 to 73) were given a breakfast cereal dressed either with a mixture of cream and skim milk or half an ounce of olive oil and skim milk. The women who ate the oil-laced muesli boosted their metabolism. Don't want to add |
