Wasn't real good on LCing it yesterday. I didn't take my lunch with me, on my way out to work, nor did I take my water. So, by the time I stopped, I was famished. KFC is pretty good.

Between that and retaining water (I have no ankles), I gained two pounds over night. 163. Not too concerned over it. It will go away.

Today was my husband's day off at the dealership. He got a phone call from the dealership he just quit. Two people needing insurance quotes. So, he is there right now. He wrote up one policy and has several more guys that want quotes.

We went for a motorcycle ride today. I took my own bike. We rode up into the mountains and had breakfast (I did good- I think) then rode through some twisties and along the river. We got to pull off on the side and went for a nice walk. It was absolutely awesome!! My hubby took the twisties a bit slower than he normally would have, likewise, I picked up the pace as I became comfortable.

Tomorrow I start the motorcycle classes. Tomorrow is classroom time. Then on Saturday and Sunday we do both classroom and ride time. It is really silly, but I am nervous about it. I am a good rider, so that really makes me feel I need to be perfect.

Good Morning!

I am utterly exhausted today. Didn't sleep well last night, then got woke up with texts by a guy my husband calls my "long distance boyfriend" bright and early today. I really need some restful rest.

The water weight fell back off. I weighed 161 this morning. I really need to grab my water and start consuming it.

My hubby's ex-girlfriend, the gal that gave him to me, has found him on Myspace. Asked him to be her friend. So, we were laughing about that last night, because my h.s. love found me just a few weeks ago. This internet thing just brings all kinds of people together. In fact, my "long distance boyfriend" was a guy that I knew briefly in high school before his dad was stationed somewhere else. Found each other through Myspace. Quite interesting.

Tonight I take the first of three evening classes for the motorcycle training. I keep telling everyone that it is gonna suck when I fail the written part of the test, since I aced that a year ago on my own. Wouldn't that suck? Lol! But, the big question of the day is when I go to get my drivers license next week (yup, I am quite sure that I will pass the test.) do I put my actual weight on the license or the 150 that I crave to get to? Hahaha! I have never actually had my real weight on my license before. I do not even look like the same person anymore.

Eve, where are the pics from the boat? I am so excited to see them! What is your exercise regimine? I need to start putting aside some me time and I think that would be the best thing to do during that time. I am so exhausted all the time and really out of shape. Maybe getting into an exercise routine will help clear the mind and help me feel better.

Betty Lou, have you seem the recipe for peanut butter truffles? They are to die for! You do need to be careful or you will over eat them, but I usually have some in the refrigerator. If I have been good all day, then I will have one or two of those with a mug of coffee in the evening. I really do try to treat them as treats. If you want the recipe, I can post the link.

Paula, darling, where are you and how are you doing?

Justine, it is time for you to check in also to let us know that you are doing well!

Ohhhh we had such a great time on the boat! It was so awesome It was such a beautiful day (the only one we have had lately.) Raining so hard these past few days. I keep watching the creek, hoping it won't flood. The yellowstone is so high rite now. But anyways, i got a pretty bad sunburn. So bad that i couldn't work out or sleep very well. I even used spf 30. I guess i need to go to spf 50 (i think they make it that strong). I have been sticking to lc and with out the workouts am just hoping i have maintained. I weigh in tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Good going Stacy at dropping those few lbs of water. It really does sneak up on ya in just one day huh. It is like you have to be constantly vigilant. I promise i will post some pics this evening. I should be jumping in the shower here in the next few minutes. I have to go housesit my g/f house to let the cable guy in. She is closing on her house today. I am so excited for her!

I will post some pics later today and i will fill you in on my exercise routine okay Stacy?

Paula, Betty Lou, and Justine, how are u 3 doing?

Be well and catch up with you all later

oh btw, put your desired weight on the license Stacy!!!!! Te he.

So glad that you had a wonderful time on the boat. I would love to get a boat. But, if we did, between that and the motorcycles, we would never have time to work. Lol!! Sorry about the sunburn. Even with the sunscreen you got got... Youch! Looking forward to the pics.

I am down half a pound today. 160.5. I am so tired of seeing the 160's. I need to blow past them and not look back. Once and for all.

I went to the first motorcycle class last night. It was just classroom instruction. It was a great refresher. Didn't learn too much, but it brought a lot of things that I have learned to the front of my mind. I decided that I will make it through the class easy. There was a guy there talking about looking at a bike at a dealership. He a it on and revved up. Helet out on the clutch and the bike took off. Drug him with it. He broke his nose, hurt his ankle and wrist, and busted up some ribs. Oops. After hearing that, my confidence went through the roof.

Okay here you go. We were at Yellowtail dam and then went on the Big Horn River. The Big Horn River is 70 miles long and runs from Big Horn Lake in WY to Yellowtail Dam in MT. It runs through a place called Devil's Canyon. It is a miniature Grand Canyon. I wish the pics had come out a little better. The digi pics do not do it justice. The reds were more redder, the blues bluer and the greens greener. The water comes from the mountains from glacial lakes and snow melt. It was sooooo cold. I could only dangle my feet in it for only a minute at a time. We didn't see any bears or big horn sheep or mt goats this time. They have campgrounds all over in these little coves that can only be reached by boat. The huge rock formations jut out and as you go by there is a hidden little cove and then another and another. A person wouldn't know it was even there until they were upon it. It is almost as if the rock walls open and close. LOL this is silly but it reminded me of the indiana jones movie when he was looking for the steps "the leap of faith" and he couldn't see the steps until he threw the gravel out onto them. Okay I am weird and i know it. The boat launching and unlaunching was hell!!! OMG my nerves were so wracked by the time we finally got the boat in the water and then out. My dh and i need to come up with better hand signals. At one point we burned so much rubber trying to pull the boat out of this steep boat launch ramp. At first i didn't think my hubby was going to make it. But, we had so much fun and it was worth all the headache.

BTW great job Stacy on losing more. You will be in the 150's before the end of the month.

Oh did you see the new Indiana Jones movie? Or an old one? We were going to go see it tonight but, dh just called in to work. Evidently with all this rain, the hospital has sprung a few leaks and they engineer on duty called him for back up. There went my movie nite. I so wanted popcorn with white cheddar sprinkle.

You can hang out with me anytime. In fact, we have a mother-in-law apartment rite next to our house just for family and visitors. It makes it so nice for company to be able to relax in their own space with out having to feel they are inconveniencing their host/hostess. Plus it gives guest privacy and it has it's own kitchen and bathroom. I like it cuz people can come and go as they please and they don't have to worry about waking anyone up or keeping someone awake. So anytime you want to take a motorcycle trip to MT let me know. hahahah I will keep the lite on for ya!

Well tomorrow is the big weigh in. Keeping my fingers crossed. I haven't exercised at all this week. Speaking of exercise: This is my usual regimen. I only work 3 days a week so that gives me 4 days to do what i want. I don't do much when i work cuz they end up being more like 16 hour shifts than 12 hours and i am so pooped when i get home. I have been lifting heavy weights lately and i can tell the difference.

day 1: legs and shoulders

lunges 10 reps each leg, 3 sets
squats 10 reps, 3 sets
calf raises 10 reps, 3 sets toes out, toes in, toes straight
leg curls 10 reps, 3 sets
leg extensions 10 reps, 3 sets
leg abductions 10 reps, 3 sets

shoulders okay i have established that i do 10 reps with 3 sets. I do that with each exercise

military presses
shoulder rows
gosh i don't know the names of them front deltoid raises, side deltoid raises, shoulder flies. shrugs

day 2 i work arms and chest
bicep curls 3 different variations, tricep kick backs, tricep rows, tricep dips, overhead tricep extensions

chest bench press incline, decline, and flat butterfies incline, flat, and decline and some other one i don't know the name of. pushups

day 3 back and abs
back rows, back extensions, lower back hyperextensions, back flies lat tower pulldowns

abs i use my therapy ball and floor work, lower abs and upper abs and side obliques doing crunches and leg lifts,

I try to do some abs about 4 days a weeks and do them heavy on one day. I do my eliptical for 30 minutes 2 times a week, cuz i read somewhere that endurance exercises aren't all they are cracked up to be. I try to do pilates sometimes instead to change it up some. I am getting better at pilates hahahah, at first i looked like a beached whale floundering. Now i just look like a more coordinated beached whale hahahah

Got the blah's

It has been raining straight since Wednesday. I am so sick of rainy gloomy weather and the weather man says it won't let up until Tuesday or Wednesday.
It really makes me feel sad and lazy and malcontent. Ran down to WY to look at a marina. They were closed Got back home and went to go see the new Indiana Jones movie but they were all sold out. Came home and finished reading my book. That was my whole day!!!! Pretty much wasted. Dh hasn't been a prize to be around either. He has the glums too i guess. I really want some chocolate. Man i need a lecture or something. I have got to snap out of this!

Hi Everybody!

Well, we didn't go away for the long weekend. But I'm absolutely fine with that! I've been getting alot done around the house......and enjoying doing it at a leisurely pace. I cleaned/re-did the whole bathroom on Friday. Washed walls, and changed curtains, rugs, etc. It "was" a black and white theme. But now that it's summer......it's all white with white lace and butterflies and lilac accents. I love it.

Did a few errands today. Then went and bought flowers and planted them on my Dad's grave. I always like to do that for Memorial Day. Begonias, these 2 red plant things...(cool looking), and marigolds. Looks great.

Before that went to the pet store, got my dog a new collar, then went to Hallmark. Bought these cool "fake" candles. They change color. Got the battery replacements too. I am a candle FREAK! I burn candles every single night. When I have them all lit, there are about 25. And I have all these little lights and nightlights and things. (Oh, the candles are not ALL scented, as I would gag...). And at night the house (morgue, as hubby calls it), looks so comfy.

Not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow. Either the Erie Mall, which is huge.....and then of course I'd have to go to Red Lobster across the street. Haven't had lobster in a while. YUUUMMMMMM Or.......do I want to clean the deck and back and get my lawn furniture out. Or, could do the porch and get that ready too. We'll see.

Eve, your boat is FANTASTIC!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!! The scenery is GORGEOUS!!!!! We sure don't have scenery like THAT around here! You must have had a blast! That looks absolutely calming. I love the water. Grew up on Lake Erie. My grandparents had a cottage on the lake, then later they built a house on the lake. My grandfather built it. You should have seen it.......! Beautiful! Winding staircase, balcony off the second floor, velvet walls......the best of everything. Boy I sure miss that house! Back to the boat. Are you planning on some parties on the boat? Sleep overs? I sure hope so......I know I would be!

Also, the 197 pounds is great! CONGRATULATIONS! The other day the scale read 200. But it really didn't stay. I'm more like 202 and holding........got to get down a few more pounds, as I know how great it's going to be to finally get into the 190's! Holy crap.......still 190???? Wow I've got a long way to go! Also, Eve........your workout. HOLY SH*T!!!!!!!!!! LOL! I don't even know what half of that is!!!!!!!! Do you work at a hospital, or are you in the ARMY??????? !!!!!! No wonder you are feeling and looking great! I give you ALOT of credit. And here I am, talking about my "measley" walks! Seriously, you are doing great! Congrats!

Hi Stacy! Sounds like work is going pretty good for you. That's great! Sounds like your motorcycle class is pretty easy for you. Funny about that guy who got dragged by the bike! I guess he needs to stay EXTRA HOURS in the class! Good thing he's taking it! LOL! Guess he just wasn't thinking. Your rides sound so nice. Love the peacefulness of a nice slow ride, winding around......(on SMOOTH roads! LOL). Those Peanut butter truffles sound delicious! I'm not sure I would trust myself with just a few though.......!!!

Well, that's about all for now. Almost 2 a.m. I'm a night-owl.

Wonder what the other girls have been up to...? Hope to hear from them soon.

Take care,
Betty Lou

Giggles at u Betty Lou, no I am not in the army It really doesn't take that long to lift the weights. I only give myself like a 30 second rest between so i get a little cardio at the same time. I think back about 8 years ago when i was addicted to weight lifting. I was 130 lbs and worked out for about 3 hours per day. I don't want to do that again or be like that again. It took up too much of my time and i would get all stressed out if i didn't get a workout in every single day. It was just too crazy. I think walking is great exercise. You have a back you have to watch out for and, I bet you could do a few arm and chest and leg ones with weights. Just go slow and light and just increase gradually. You should probably have a spotter too.

Sounds like you have a lot of very fond memories growing up on the lake. I bet it was awesome. Were you the only child around or did you have a lot of brothers, sisters and cousins to share the water with? Yeah we are really happy about the boat, except for the price of gasoline. We are trying to get a boat slip so we can keep it at the marina and just drive our economy car back and forth. That is what we did yesterday in Wyoming. We wanted to see what the slips looked like and how far the water had come up, it was way below launching level. We were hoping to see how much they were renting them for as well. But, they weren't open. I would love to spend my 3 day weekends on the boat all summer long. My gal pals and i have discussed just having an all girl weekend. It all hinges on if we can get a slip though. We have gone through 7 years of a drought and water levels are way down. This is the first year since that the snowpacks are above 100% . We shall see.

I love candles. I don't have quite that many but, i bet that it looks so pretty in your house (giggles at your dh comment about it being a morgue) Does he mean a mausoleum? I can tell you, i have been to the morgue and they surely don't have candles everywhere . The morgue episode was actually quite funny. Remind me to tell you sometime. Anyways, my favorite candle is the Salt City Candles and the fragrance is called "Welcome Home" It smells soooo wonderful.

Yeahhhhhhhh Your at 200! Thats awesome. Do you think you can be in the 190's by the end of the month? I bet Stacy can make it to the 150's by the end of the month.

Hey Stacy, how is the motorcycle class going? I bet your having a great time. How was the lady instructor? I would love to try those truffles. Can you post the recipe?

Well have to run my son to work. I have the house to myself after that. I have been overtaken by this overwhelming urge to do some deep cleaning! Wonder whose fault that is Hahahahaha

Be well everyone and take care. Hope to hear from you all soon.

Hello Ladies!

First, lemme just say y'all are kickin a** and taking names! Congratulations on the weight loss! I am super stoked! One thing about this thread and talking with you ladies is as you are doing well and the weight is coming off, I am excited and it drives me to wanna keep going! You gals are quite motivating and help me tremendously!

Eve! 197! That is awesome! Are you still doing the LC during the week and then HC on the weekend? If so (or if not), what are your thoughts on that? That is an eating plan that I have talked with DH about once I hit maintenance.

Betty Lou- you are right on the brink of being less than 200. Wow!! That will be an achievement worth celebrating! Maybe buy a new candle- splurge a little and maybe buy one that you would like to have but would not have bought. Like you guys, I love candles!

Dang, Betty Lou, I need your housecleaning help. Mine has gone to hell in a handbasket. I really need to figure out a gameplan to keep this place in shape.

Ok, I passed my motorcycle class. It was a lot of fun and I did learn a lot. I am glad that I finally went. Everyone in the class passed, no one dropped their bikes, it was good. Now my body aches (lots of time in the sun and whooping a motorcycle around this weekend) and I am exhausted. Hope to sleep well tonight.

I weighed in at 160 this morning. I have not been overly careful. Careful, yes, to a T, no. In fact, just had a small piece of carrot cake with some coffee. Everything else today has been really good. For brunch, I had an omelette with onion, mushroom, ham, bacon, sausage, and cheese. Dinner, DH made beer can chicken, green beans, and sliced pickle and tomato. Then a small piece of cake this evening.

Ok, got some work to do to get ready for this week. I will check in soon.

Almost forgot, here is the recipe for the peanut butter deals. I love them! My daughter's boyfriend also loves them. I hide them from him or he eats them all. LowCarbFriends Recipes - Chocolate Peanut Truffles - Powered by ReviewPost

Up half a pound today. But, that carrot cake was so worth it!! Lol! Actually, I am retaining water. My calves look huge! My ankles are a little swollen also. But, in all seriousness, that carrot cake was the best I have ever had. I made myself stop eating it, because I knew that I could easily go overboard with it.

I am getting ready to take the boys to Denver to help a friend replace his garage roof. I seriously am not looking forward to it, but when a friend needs help, you do what you can, right? I kinda wish the boys weren't going so that I could take the motorcycle.

Alrighty, I am outta here! Talk to ya later!

WOE: Anabolic solutions
Start Date: May 2008
Well Stacy, sometimes we have to take the good with the bad. That musta been some darn good carrot cake. Yep, I am still doing the anabolic solutions. I do lc during the week and then carb load on the weekend. The only thing is that u have to lift heavy during the week. The carb loading is to help carry your energy levels over through the week. On the 3rd lc day you should be starting to deplete your stores and have shed all your water. I didn't do one darn exercise this week and still lost. I am now a firm believer in lifting. One thing is that i was craving pizza so bad tonight and brownies, but i know i can have it on the weekend. I can go out to dinner with friends and family and eat what they eat. I had a long day at work and am did not sleep well last nite. I watched a stupid movie with spiders in it and it made me dream about them all nite. EEEEEEK i hate them! Needless to say my hiney is draggin and i am not even going to try and work out. I will first thing in the morning.

Yep when a friend needs a hand, you gotta give it to them. Unless it is the type of friend that always needs a hand but is never around when you need one, then next time they ask, i say SOL.

If the boys weren't going, would you have taken a motorcycle road trip all by your little lonesome? Man i love a good road trip! I have taken several of em by myself almost clear across the country. By car though, not by motorcycle.

You all have a great nite. Will check in tomorrow. Be well and stop in and say hi!

Good morning!

Well, the scale officially hates me.
