Big smiles!!!!!

Hey Girls!
Wow this is so fun Sorry if i seem too exuberant. I get so excited when u two post something. Goodness Paula i heard some really bad weather was coming your way, hope your okay. Last year we got alot of rain, and part of our property flooded. Thankfully it wasn't near the house. my prayers are with u that u will be safe and sound. I made the cleo rolls, they are so fabulous, made my dh try em and he made funny faces! Shrugs thats okay, just means more for me. These i can tell will be my saving grace on this woe. I love their texture and flavor. I kinda had a feeding frenzy today but i stuck with lc all the way. Instead of pilates, i did the eliptical machine for 30 min and then worked arms with weights for about 20 minutes. my dp (darling pet) te hehe, got her sutures out and now she can run around the house with out having to stop and mess with the stitches every five minutes(they itched so bad). went and had coffee with the gals at work went food shopping and came home and had a nap (naps are one of life's simple pleasures) It was after the nap that i had very strong cravings for naughty stuff. Thank god for sugar free jello and lc whipped cream. Never did make that cheese cake or the chicken marsala. Will do that tomorrow. I have a staff meeting first thing in the am and then a few of us will go out for breakfast. My gal pal (whom is a big food pusher) are going to go ipod shopping for her and then look for some ski boots. Hopefully i wont be gone all day, so i can get back and exercise and make those items. Hmmmm a sexy valentines dinner????????? let me think. I will have to get back to u on that one Stacy. I am saving up for the Vegas trip so i won't do a V-day dinner till we get there. I need to find a sexy nightie . Okay well need to get my self to bed. U both take care and thanks
Eve

You know, I get super excited when anyone posts on this thread too!

It has been forever since I have been to Vegas. I am hoping to make it out there soon. I don't know if that will happen or not. If my husband changes careers (and I follow him), I don't see it happening too soon. I don't know if you are interested, Eve, but lasvegas.com has awesome info, to include cheap places to eat. Vegas Dining Deals at LasVegas.com I love to find the bargains that will help make vacation a little less expensive.

For our friend's birthday (the one coming up this weekend), she has decided that it is going to be a "wig party". Everyone has to wear a wig. I bought a purple and black goth cheerleader wig for it. Very cool looking. I have a nightie that is the same exact black and purple. I put it and the wig on last night. Felt kinda goofy, but it was fun to see the look on Dh's face. Guys are so easy. Here is a pic of the wig. Wish I had that gal's boobs.

I was 159.5 today. Darn restaurant food.

Paula, how are you guys doing? Is the weather pounding your area? I sure do hope that you are safe and well.

OK, here is what I am thinking. I want to weigh 150 and maintain right about that weight. When I make it, my DH and I are going to take a hot air balloon ride. I have always wanted to do that. It is so expensive, so I haven't been able to talk myself into it. I think that it would just be so awesome and breathtaking.

Hey Stacy,
super cool wig! I have one that my dd got for me when she worked at a beauty supply store. It is a sexy longish layered blonde siren wig. I look funny in it though (hahahahahha) She also got me hair extensions that i wore for a day but now my hair is super short. Hey great job on your weight, even though your not were u want to be. It could have been worse, so look on the bright side of things. When i was in weight watchers, our leader said "it is okay to fall down a few steps rather than throw yourself down the whole stairway" I love that quote. Hey thanks for the helpful hints regarding Vegas, i will be sure to look into it for some super deals. Got up early and did my elipitcal machine for 30 minutes this am then went to the 7:45 am staff meeting. Went to breakfast with some co-workers and they actually had low carb bread so i got to have some toast with my eggs and sausage. Went ipod shopping at walmart and they were not going to let my gf (girlfriend) exchange an rca one that she got for christmas for the ipod "Oh we are sorry ma'am but u have to exchange electronic items with in 15 days." What kinda deal is that. She was upset, so we go back to electronics and we are looking at the ipods and i saw the electronics manager there and asked if the refund policy was posted in the department and he said yes but i said that is a very little sign and it isn't posted on the receipt either and could they truly reconsider exchanging it. I said it would be one thing if she just wanted the cash back but she doesn't she wants to upgrade and will be spending twice the amount even with the exchange. He went for it! Then we went ski boot shopping and ski pole shopping and then for a latte. ( i love coffee if u haven't noticed). And now am home and it is time for my day off nap! I have to admit though, before breakfast i had to get gas and i snuck a chocolate candy bar. Damn! i am so mad at myself. Hey with the revol roll i want to try sf carmel syrup with chopped pecans and drizzle in sf chocolate syrup and top with lc whipped cream! will let u know how i did with the rest of the day later. Hope Paula is doing okay. and oh btw about the sexy V-day dinner, do u perhaps have a stripper pole u could put in the dinning room? Seriously was thinking u could do the revol rolls in a smaller size like fortune cookie size and bake little messages inside. Like terms of endearment or a coupon like good for one free massage from yours truly (meaning u).

Stripper pole would work. Only problem with that is, if I do it once, you know he is gonna want me to do it again.

Went to the Y and played two games of racquetball this morning. I lost, but that is nothing new. Towards the end of the last game, my husband smacked the ball right into my boob. Hit me full force. It hurt so bad that I couldn't do anything other than laugh. I think that if I didn't laugh, I may have cried.

I did get creamed cheese earlier this morning.. baby sat and the mom forgot the bag so I had to go buy diapers, tippy cups and snacks.. and ofcourse stuff for me.. adorable little girl.. just made me laugh all day.. thank goodness hubby wanted to go out.. cus I didnt have the energy to make dinner.. also saw the movie Over Her Dead Body..ahh.. it was alright.. I could have waited to rent it tho...

okay .. no loss today.. but hoping to do better tomorrow.. I'm doing better drinking water today.. which Ive not done in a while...

I tried an outfit long ago and got laughed at.. I do better in my flannel nightgown. and pole dancing.. lol... yeah thats not gonna happen here.. he got embarrassed something awful when I trying to learn to dance from my DD13... anyone know how to pop their butts.. ive been taught! Schnauzers here too!

Hi Paula,
I have schnauzers too, Well only one now. I am mourning the loss of my dear friend whom died in January. It was a very traumatic death for my whole family. My little female has sensed it and has really come out of her usual cool and aloof personality and has been comforting us. I have been scrolling through the old posts and have been gleaning lots of interesting info about u ladies. U all have such different lives but share a common bond. It is wonderful that we can come from all over the place and share a bit of ourselves with others. I have read that u Paula have 4 wheelers which is something we enjoy doing as well. And u Stacy have motorcycles which is something we have too. Ours are sport bikes though. mine is a Suzuki gs 550 that my hubby bought for 100 bucks then cleaned up fixed the dents and painted it Aztec orange for me. I will have to submit some pics. I will lose weight before this spring so i can look hot on it. Today i didn't do to bad with my eating except for the candy bar this morning. I still need to pump some iron, think it will be shoulders tonight. Rented a movie "the brave one" I loved the ending! Enjoyed a cool and refreshing low carb beer during the movie. Not much else to tell. U all have a great nite, and will post some tomorrow.

Laters, Eve

Glad that y'all made it through the weather ok, Paula. I have a high school buddy (that we have JUST gotten back in touch with through myspace) that lives over in Jackson. I have sent him a message, haven't heard back yet. Hope that he and his family are ok also.

I made a batch of rolls today and added garlic, onion salt, and black pepper to the yolk mix. Not too bad. I will be able to have Eve's sandwich for lunch tomorrow!

Told my hubby that he needs to buy me a nightgown. All of mine are too big for me. I do not recall him ever buying me one without me being there. So, maybe I will get one from him for Valentine's day.

I made a casserole tonight using leftovers from the refrigerator. Green chili, fried up corn tortillas, refried beans, taco meat, and cheese. It looks and smells awesome. Not too LC friendly though. I had a bologna sandwich. I don't think that it tasted anywhere near as good as the family's dinner did. Sigh...

ETA: Hehehe! You beat me to posting tonight, Eve. LOL!

It is really cool how we are together. I love chatting with the gals on this thread, you included- of course. I look forward to seeing what is going on with everyone's day.

Yeah, I love our motorcycles. Hoping to get out and ride this weekend. Supposed to be in the high 40's to low 50's- if there is no wind, that is BEAUTIFUL around here.

Dirt bikes, huh? One of our best buddies is trying to get us into riding dirt bikes with him. I haven't quite yet talked myself into doing that. We will see what this summer holds.

Talk to you ladies tomorrow. Think that I am going to hit the hay.

Cking in...
I cant believe Im up to 203.. dear lord what am I doing !

I brought the treadmill out of the corner.. and did about 30mins of walking then hour later ran for 10 mins, not fast but a good pace. I'm trying to find the link for the "from Couch to 5 k" or something like that, but the search keeps telling me I need more then 3 letters.. stupid search!

I guess I better get moving..I have to baby sit tomorrow and need to get outdoor things done today.. black pipe stuff.. at least the trench we dug worked.. the patio didnt flood out..

Eve, did you say where you are from?
Sorry you lost your fur baby.. I still hurt from time to time with the loss of my baby... I have 3 left but I just dont have the attachment to them.. 2 are older and prob wont be with us but a few years more.. and I hate to think how it will be...the only girl will be the one left and spoiled beyond..because she sorta is now..

We've not had our 4x4s out in a while... trying to locate areas to ride that wont cost us a fee.. we do take John's out when we hunt and thought about asking the guy if we could cut some more trails so that our dd13 could go..guy has 90 acres.. and some beautiful wooded areas.

I'm am going to try the rolls today.. hopefully that will help me get back on track...
somedays I just feel like sticking my finger down my throat...but Im not graceful at that either! LOL.... Im needing an attitude adjustment...

soaps are now.. bye for now!!!

I weighed between 159.5 and 160 (you know how the scale is.) I was hoping to not see the 160 mark again. I did exercise yesterday. I wonder if that is why the scale shows what it does, cuz I promise I was really good yesterday.

Paula, here is the link for the couch to 5k. Cool Running :: The Couch-to-5K Running Plan You ladies wanna do this with me? We could start it on Monday, that way our weeks begin and end with the week.

I went and played racquetball with dh again today. He won the first game, I won the second. My game is getting better.

I am not sleeping well at night. Can't fall asleep. Also, the last two nights I have fallen asleep for about half an hour and then woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. That is so frustrating, especially when I am so exhausted.

I think I could do this.. starts out simple enough! Couch thingie that is...

Stacy, have you tried tea at night? To help with the sleep. I do use TylPm and it knocks me out but so do most drugs. But going without sleep, yah makes me bonkers!

I'm making chicken with swiss cheese and bacon on top.. restaurant had bbq sauce on bottom and chopped tomatoes on top. I have red peppers instead of tomatoes. dd13 had this last night, and thought id make it for all of us for dinner. cooked cabbage and fried green beans...not the best combo but thats lowcarb at times.

I'm needing to send out some emails and just cant get motivated. Family that Ive not kept up with like I should. But its so hard when Im not doing anything worth telling...so I guess I better do that before I need to finish dinner..

I'm up for the walking ... but Im gonna stay working on my treadmill.. at least working on knocking the dust off...
hugs ya'll~!

I'm in for the couch thing

Hi ladies!
I am game for the couch thing. Will be hard at times in the middle of the winter but there is a park just a few miles away that has all kinds of jog paths and it goes around the lake. 3 times a week correct? I bookmarked the page.

Paula, I am from (big sky country) Montana. I am originally from South Dakota. I went into the USAF after high school and lived in various places ie Denver, Georgia, texas, ND, the Philippines, Delaware, and Wyoming. Montana is close to home for me though and is now where i live and want to stay.

I did real well with lc today. Least i think i did.
B: cottage cheese, 1/2 grapfruit, scrambled eggs and bacon and a slice of lc toast

L: diet soda, burger king dbl bacon cheese burger with out the bun.

D: two cleo rolls, turkey lunchmeat and cheese.

not much in the way of veggies, did drink my water and worked out on the bowflex and therapy ball for 1/2 hour.

Had to go to the insurance office today, then went to a sports store and bought a pilates mat and a rack for my weights. Then went to costco to look around and didn't buy anything. Then went to Borders a bookstore and didn't buy anything. DH had the day off too so we just kicked around together. Came home and made some more cleo rolls and of course had to watch the season opener of Survivor (huge fan) second fav show is CSI las vegas but it was a rerun, so did laundry and found my pilates for dummies DVD. I have to work the next 3 days of 12 hours shifts so hopefully i will have enuf energy to work out when i get home and have time to post. BTW Stacy do u have a bruise on your breast? Hats off too u, i really suck at raquet ball. Hmmm for sleep, read a book on some investment strategies (that puts me rite to sleep) Spritz your pillow with lavender and try some tension tamer tea or sleepytime tea. I am currently working on my certification in aromatherapy. Eventually will be a certified Aromatherapist. But anyways, lavender helps with calming also helps in nausea in case your interested. of course like Paula said tylenol pm works well. It is the benedryl in the tylenol pm that makes u sleepy. Benedryl does cause exciteability in some people though. Be well and keep on truck'n girls

Had to watch Survivor last night too. Ive missed all the others since the original. Hubby and I watch and really thought there was a strategy going on at the end.. but couldnt figure how the vote would go... was surprised. I'm hoping to keep up with this seasons esp this one.

I'm getting on the treadmill here in a min...
I'm at 202 this morning.. hopefully I can get my numbers back to 190 in a week or two.

I think carrying around my ugly water jug has helped. I'm wondering if the sodium in the sodas are causing me to hold onto water weight. nice thinking.. huh?

Okay... hope everyone has a great day.. and a good weekend if I dont get to post tomorrow.. I have a honeylist a mile long!

Hugs ya'll~

I made the Rev Rolls.. not too bad.. I didnt let the bake long enough.. stupid timer stopped on me... lol.. but I used leftover chicken/bacon to make a sandwich.. yeah it was nice~! But I also munched on two just plain, just trying to figure out the taste. which just reminds me of egg but used like bread, yeah it does work. I didnt pay much attention when using it like a sandwich. Making them was fairly easy, just had to use a vintage handmixer to blend the yolks and creamed cheese, but it worked.

Wonder how they'd taste with cocoa mixed before baking and sf syrups... Im sure someone has already tried... lol..

thanks for the recipe and the ideas~

At 159.5 today. I had a couple of sausages yesterday. One at breakfast, one at lunch. They were salty, won't buy those again.

I want to try to jazz up the rolls. Although I am wondering if the cream cheese in them is causing me to stall. I don't have any more made right now, so I will give it a couple of days to see what happens.

not much to post tonight. I am beat. Rushed home to do my pilates before i talked myself out of them. Glad nobody could see me rolling around like a beached whale. They really suck, no i really suck at them. Going to keep at em till i can do them gracefully. Man! i need to stretch more too. Didn't realize how much flexibility i have lost. I am sure i have lost some weight though. My work pants are getting baggier on me. I will drag out the scale maybe Monday.

B: one egg over med and a sausage patty, coffee

Snack celery with squirt cheese, water

L: two cleo rolls for a tuna salad sandwich made with mayo and dill picks and onions.
one sf jello, slice of cheese, and lots o water

D: mushrooms dipped in egg and rolled in a combo of parmesian, romano, and asiago cheese (shredded) then deep fat fried mmmmm yummy, and 2 hotdogs dipped in mustard and horseradish. no bun.

U girls have a great nite, I wanted to make a sf cheese cake but am, exhausted. Be well and talk more later

I don't get it. 161 this morning. Maybe my sodium has been too high? Not that I don't love losing and gaining the same 5 pounds over and over again.

Didn't sleep last night- at all. The Benadryl that usually knocks me out didn't work. I did buy some sleepytime tea. Of course, I didn't think about it last night

I will pretty much be off the diet tonight and probably tomorrow. Birthday party and a restaurant shop. And frankly, after the week I have had, I am looking forward to a little time off.

I will have Jerrimy (my sweetie) take a picture of me tonight once I get all dolled up for the party. I went and bought a purple sweater and some purple fishnets to match my hair. I figured if I was gonna wear the wig, I will go all out.

BTW, I ended up with a barely visible bruise the other day on my breast, but boy, it is still sore if touched.

Those fried mushrooms sound really good, Eve. I love fried mushrooms. Has anyone ground up pork rinds and deep fried mozzarella? Those are really good! I wonder if that would work for pork rinds too?

Starting Monday, I am going to do the couch to 5k. I would love to say 4 times a week, but it will most likely be 3. I am going to try to sit down today and write out my goals and put them someplace where I can see them.

I am also cooking some dinners for the week (for the family). I have potatoes in the oven for twice baked potatoes, gonna do chili, lasagna, and stuffed Mexican shells. I wanted to do a few other things, but honestly, I am so exhausted. I don't think I could. So, I will split it up and do a few more on Monday. Chicken enchiladas, pizza turnovers, and spicy macaroni and cheese. I think that there is something else on my list, but don't remember right off the bat.

Today is not starting out too well. I think the lack of sleep is catching up with me.

I am making a vanilla/pineapple Better Than Sex cake for the party tonight. It started out that I burned the pineapple syrup- I turned off the wrong burner left that one on. So, I try to make the syrup again and the cake cools off too much, so it doesn't soak in like it should. Then somehow I read the directions wrong and was making the pineapple syrup with just sugar and the juice. I was wondering where in the world the pineapple went. Anyway, I went ahead and added vanilla pudding on the top and told the kids they can have it. Still tasted good. I had a nice huge piece of it.

So, I ask ds14 to run to the store to get another mix and 2 more pkgs of pudding. He came back with 1 pudding. Eh whatever.

Went to toast the coconut that goes on top and burned it. I am about to totally give up.

I was going to cook all day today. Made some baked potatoes for twice baked potatoes. I ate one of those. Not gonna trust myself cooking pasta- I would definitely eat all of that.

I really, really hope that I can get it under control and maybe get a nap in too. I am not a good napper. Never have been, but I think that it is time for a time out.

lol Stacy, u shoulda just stayed in bed today and bypassed all the snafoos u had with cooking. It was probably d/t u being so tired. You were making my mouth water something fierce with all that talk of naughty food. I was really bad today too. Seems i go good for about 3 days and wham i get so hungry and resist for the better part of the day and then i give in at/around supper time. I think i need to prepare my meals and pack em to work to avoid temptation. I had to have chocolate though. I was tellin them about my pilates debacle at work and they made fun of me. I am going to take the DVD in to work tomorrow and see how well they do with it. Then we will see who is laughing. I am game for the couch to 5k thing and am going to start on Monday too!
Can't wait to see your pic in your purple getup Stacy. i haven't tried to coat anything with pork rinds but u can use the cheese combo to bread chicken tenders and they come out really tastey. Will be breaking out the scale on Monday, I am going to cry if it hasn't budged. Well time to go do some exercising and then to bed. One more day of 12 hour shifts. Warmer tomorrow too! It was 0 degrees here today didn't have my care plugged in and was afraid it wasn't going to start. It did though! Nite all and hope to hear from u soon. Be well hugs BTW Stacey good job! u r almost at your goal?

I am hiding from the scale for a couple of days. That was how bad I was yesterday. I was better today at lunch, but still really not on track. Not gonna be too concerned over it. Whatever...

Had lots of fun last night. Drank too much, ate way too much, laughed a lot, met some really nice people, then slept. Ok, that last part (slept) was a lie. Still didn't sleep, but I think that I will tonight. Gonna talk dh into getting into the hot tub tonight. Maybe that will help some.

Yup, almost at goal. That is part of the reason I get so stressed about messing up. It is so close, but it is really a lot harder for me now to stay on track than it was. Self sabotage, I think. Eventually I will get there.

Okie dokie, here is a pic that my DD17 took of us last night. We looked so goofy!

Quick check in

Still can't get it together on this end either. Tomorrow is a new day. New clean slate. Nurse called in sick for work tomorrow so i have to pick up another 12 hour shift. Can't start the run till Tuesday. And, I changed my mind about getting on the scale tomorrow. I don't think i want to know at this point. Will peek at the scale on Friday. Love the pic Stacy. Your outfit looks great. Glad u had fun. I think u need to let your hair down at times and really have a good time. Life shouldn't be all about what u put in your mouth every minute of the day. I mean i think it is important but, so is your mental health too, u still have to enjoy life. Well sorry such a short note but need to do some exercising and off to bed. Give us a holla Paula and let us know how your doing. Be well
