Ain't it great!?! You are doing absolutely terrific!

Your breakfast smoothie sounds wonderful. Did it taste as good as it sounds? If I were to make it, would there be anything else that I would want/need to add to it?

Kinda taking the weekend off. Not really going all out or anything. Did really well yesterday, then last night had Chinese for dinner. I did go for stir fry instead of deep fried. No rice, but I did have a few fried noodles. Had company afterwards we had some wine, rum cake that I brought back from Key West, strawberries and cream. Not a lot of any of it, but I did have some. And, boy was it good. Tonight, DH and I are going out to dinner. Our 15th anniversary is on Tuesday. We are gonna celebrate tonight. Going to Carrabba's Italian restaurant. They sent me a certificate for free appetizer and a carafe of house wine. I love free stuff. So, DH and I decided that we are going way LC tomorrow for a few days to put me into ketosis cuz I don't think that I am there yet.

Tried on a pair of jeans that I bought at the thrift store about a month ago, size 9/10. I got 'em buttoned and probably could wear them if I want to. I figure that by the time I lose this last 20 or so pounds they should fit nicely and I should be able to squeeze into an 8. I think that a 9/10 may be right where I want to be (and be able to squeeze into a size 8 just cuz). Knowing that I started out in a size 22 at the beginning of the year is pretty amazing. I would have never thougt that I could actually do it. I haven't fit into a size 10 since before I had my first baby. She will be 17 on Nov. 1.

My dog is going to be fine. His has a yeast infection in his ears that have spread over his body. He is on all kinds of antibiotics. But, already he is beginning to look and feel better. I am super excited about that. We really miss his old self. I am sure soon enough I will be griping about the dogs not chilling out and being horses butts.

I made Jody's pumpkin bake. http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/lo...pkin-bake.html I think that this is what I am going to be doing for the holidays instead of regular pie. It is so good with a dollop of whipped cream and a cup of coffee. It has been my breakfast all week long.

Congrats on the anniversary... 15 yrs is great!

Ive not been in a size 9/10 since I was in highschool~ !!! Man oh man... that would be great. I think 12/13 would be great... but youre small framed too, so Im sure even an 8 would be doable!
Glad the dog is doing good.. give him some yogurt! LOL~

ah the smoothie? are you ready for fruits?
I just tossed some greek yogurt, 1 chopped small apple, used about 2 oz coconut milk and added Torani Almond Roca flavored syrup for sweetness.. and just blended it up. Oh forgot I did add unsweetened coconut flakes...
I Like it.. but I'm experimenting with all types. I did cantaloup one day with strawberries, etc. that was with soymilk. Im out of soymilk so I used yogurt, its whatever I have on hand.
I re-read parts of DANDR and it does say to introduce fruit, low gly low carb fruits. I just made a list of what I can have. Im up around 40carbs and I think Im starting to move down the scale again. Im not craving sweets. I stay full till lunch etc. I am staying away from bananas, etc.
Just do it at your own risk. I think it would be safe for on going weightloss stages.

Pumpkin bake sounds good, I picked up 2 cans of pumpkin since its hard to find until holidays roll around. Its low carb enough with good fiber and things we need.

Off to surf around on the boards, its been a boring day and this place is just too entertaining at times.

Did pretty darn good at dinner last night. Had 1 glass of red wine, ate some calamari (that was the high carb part of the day for me), and sauteed spinach with Pollo Rosa Maria. Grilled chicken breast stuffed with prosciutto and Fontina cheese. Then it had mushrooms and a basil lemon butter sauce on top. It was so good!

Today was walk your child to school day. Our DS8 wanted us to take him, so we did. On the way home my DH told me that I am skinny. Sometimes he says all the right things. Now if I could get rid of my stomach...

I am way tired today. Got a bit to do. There is a lady that will be coming by the house tonight to look at buying my old motorcycle jacket from me. Hope that she likes it, it fits, and she buys it. It will feel like a nice accomplishment to no longer have my big jacket around.

Justine, how are you doing? Hope that you are fine and able to get some rest. Take care of yourself, lady.

Paula, yeah, I am about ready to start adding fruits back into my diet. In moderation, of course.

Was gonna go really low carb starting today. I think that I may cut back, but don't think that I am gonna make it as severe as I had planned. Got too much on my plate to be grumpy or sick feeling. I have signed up to be a secret shopper and have a couple of those to do this week. The way I see it, there is an extra $10 here and there to put into savings.

Menu:
B: Pepperoni Bake
L: maybe nothing- plan on tuna salad if I am hungry
D: baked "fried" chicken, green beans, and box potatoes for the family

Dinner sounds really good!

I had
B: Scrambled Eggs with cheese
L: Tofu with Zucchini Fried in some kinda low carb organic sauce. smokey chipotle
D:Provolone cheese slices, 1 Min almond muffin.
Went to a pampered chef party and it was all high carb stuff served. Great recipes but nothing I could eat at the moment. I had to bring the book home, too much to look at and new things. I used to love this stuff, just no one sold PC in our area...

Stacy, glad your gonna do the fruits, now I dont feel like a cheat. I really dont see many post from ladies actually moving on the the next OWL and bringing back fruits.

Justine, Sending good wishes your way. Hope youre doing okay.

191.5 and I tried not to move so as not to make the numbers go higher my digital scales!

B: Eggplant Lasagna (yeah 4bFast!)
L: Salad stuff... with cukes and tomatoes. Might use tuna today.
D: The steaks that never got cooked last night. Potatos for the rest of family and cauliflower for me.
I'm failing on getting my water in.. could tell by urine being so dark this morning.. that was a good wakeup call.. GET THAT WATER IN~

Walked and ready.
Everyone have a good one!

Not weighed in this morning.. want to wait a few days so I wont go nuts if the scale has me a 1lb or .5 up this am.

B:Tofu scrambled eggs. ( cant wait till its all used up, tired of it! LOL)
L: Salad stuff & clean out fridge. No canned meats today. I swelled from something saltly yesterday.
D: Meatloaf & veggies

Tomorrow I'm picking up some more fresh fruit. I cant believe how fast the stuff goes bad. I remember having apples around for what seemed like weeks before they would go bad. But that was when I was a kid. How darn old are the apples we get in the stores, its harvest time, they should be fresh!

I am a little disappointed. The size 16 jeans I could fit into are just a big 16.. "sad face"
I tried on sz16 at a few other stores and it was a no go. Okay 18 isnt bad, but what a let down... But I'll just have to make 16 a goal again... dang, thought I was there.

I have wondered about T-tapp. If you get it, let me know what you think. I have the Carmen Electra strip aerobics box set. It is lots of fun, but I haven't had those discs out in months. I should do that. I would bet the hubby would enjoy that.

I was in a crappy mood for a lot of yesterday. I scheduled a full day of secret shopping jobs (which was really fun) cuz I wanted the day to go by fast. It was my 15th wedding anniversary. Somehow, my DH ended up with the day off. So, he was home while I was out and about. When I got home I found that he had made dinner. Not only that, but it was new recipes out of a lc book. We had bacon wrapped shrimp kebobs, lemon balsamic catfish kebobs, and a cucumber tomato salad. All new recipes, all really good! He also went and bought a bottle of wine and an anniversary card. He NEVER buys me a card, so this year I didn't get him one. It was pretty sweet. Then we went to bed and I passed out, immediately. So, I kinda "owe him one."

Woke up yesterday and the scale said that I had gained 3 1/2 pounds overnight! WTH? Today I am back down to 167.5. It is neverending, isn't it? I have come to the conclusion that I am highly sensitive to salt. I have noticed that when my DH does anything with a rub I usually gain the following day. It doesn't matter how good I have been.

Gonna try out another new recipe for dinner. It is a crockpot dinner. It is a chicken, cheese, and cauliflower concoction.

Hi All,
We have been home since Sunday. I have been unpacking the camper and trying to find room for all of the mementos we brought back...I NEED ANOTHER HOUSE

Justine, we have all been worrying about you. I am keeping you in my prayers and good thoughts. I know I've said it before, but it deserves repeating...if I can help in any way, I am here for you.

Paula and Stacy, You guys are doing awesome. I am hoping it will rub off on me. I started my exercises again. We went to Dollywood yesterday and just walked around. It was very empty so I could do sort of a "pep step" walk. After that was done we went to a couple of the shows and relaxed. I just have to get back in to the groove.

OK kids, Just wanted to drop in and say Howdy....oh, oh, oh....Belated Happy Anniversay Stacy and DH...also, those vacation photos were awesome. Also going to check out the T-Tapp...think an old lady like me can do it??? Quit laughing
Hugs to all, >^.,.^<

Justine and Mary, Glad to see you gals posting.. missing both of ya!
Stacy.. happy 15th Anniversary... belated. Isnt love grand..

I want to go to Dollywood.. but havent been able to squeeze it in.... good time to go now if its empty...

I finished a wedding cake yesterday. 10 Hours! I'm so tired. If I knew how to post the thumbnail type pics I would.. I owe you guys tons of pics that Ive promised.

I did eat the tops off the cakes or at least the one off the 8" cake. had to sample the icing because I dont do peanutbutter icing. it tasted like PB fudge. It was the type you pour over the cake and hope to the God of Cakes that it hardens correctly! It did.. Deliverly will be the next feat.

Got walking this morning done.. cooking up some veggies for Bfast since Im tired of other things and the veggies were looking sad.

Okay. Let have a good weekend...

Hugs!

Paula Jean...that is incredible. You are doing so good. Are you still following the way your DD is eating? I have cut out all starches and only eat fruits, veggies and protein. I've lost 4lbs since Monday. I am eating the way I did before I left for CA...too stressful to do that when I was in CA. Six little meals through out the day...eat only until hunger goes away. It makes out to be 3 normal meals and 3 snacks every 3 hours. Most of the time I have to force myself to eat the snacks. but sometimes I don't .
Let me know if you make it to Dollywood anytime soon...would love to meet you eye to eye.
Hope everyone is doing ok. >^.,.^<

Actually she gave up after being tempted by pepperoni pizza, but thats fine, thats a kid for ya... She lost quite a bit of weight and is now doing some semi low carb with me. She's doing the lowcarb fruits and eating the fake meats I have packed in freezer.. hehe...
I thought she done good for a month. Ive cut back on the processed meats, no more lunchmeat or canned ham. too much salt. I'm trying to eat clean. I'm proud that she tried. At least she is leaving junk food alone. She tries to get up early and go walking when she can.
Mary, does your hubby still do gun safety courses, or does he know who or where they provide them. DD13 is wanting to go hunting with daddy.

I'll let ya know next time we are in Dollywood, which days are the slowest up there?

Thanks!

THAT'S IT, THAT'S IT, THAT'S IT!!!! Those processed meats will get you every time. What happens to me is I eat them then I crave soda...talk about a "double edged sword" YIKES! Tell DD not to beat herself...she at least is thinking about what is good for her. She is a smart cookie (low carb of course )
My niece is a Vegan and she almost got herself in a heap of trouble. When you don't eat meat you can deplete your B vitamins fast. She was tired all of the time and could hardly concentrate. They (doctors) started to give her large doses of B vitamins in the form of a shot. She pulled though but it took a while. She is now on the sublingual B vitamins that you take under your tongue daily. She gets them at Walmart.
DH doesn't teach gun safety anymore, but he said if you call a sporting goods store they should put you in touch with an instructor.
HOW COOL!!! You are going to have to get a bigger freezer! I love when young'uns take an interest in hunting. It keeps the balance. I wish more people understood that.
We went to Dollywood on Wednesday last week and it was SOOOO SLOW. I could not believe it. We asked why and they said it was because they were in between "festivals". Just got over the Bluegrass music one and now the Gospel music one starts. I think it started either today or Friday.
OK, gotta get some housework done. Ciao for now, >^.,.^<

Bouncing the scales.. 192. But thats okay.. I know its gonna be like the rest of the pounds.. .. It'd be so nice if once you hit a number it wouldnt go back up two or three times. ARGH! At least its moving and I hit 189 for a day.. I was happy.

DD is doing good with her new found way of eating. She's just doing good to stay away from junk food. I told her I'd get a veggie slicer, mandoline thing, and we'd make her homemade potato chips if thats what she's craving. At least we know what's in them. One local resturaunt serves fresh chips and the girls just loved them. Knowing what seasonings are in them are great. I think popcorn seasonings would work for her too. We're just trying to find ways to let her be a kid but yet be a bit healthier. and the chips wouldnt be an everyday thing, Gosh my kitchen would be dripping in frydaddy oil!~
I can always fry some kind of veggie.

I dont know who gets to go hunting this weekend. We got permission for a property, gosh didnt realize how hard that is. DD wants to go but then that puts me out. We'd run out all the deer. And I'm needing to clean out deep freeze. Its got old stuff at bottom that I just dread digging out. Otherwise its pretty empty. Was offered ground beef at $2 a lb. I thought that was a bit much, but it was from a farm. DAG I need to be out in the country, chickens, eggs, cows! LOL!~

I've not kept up with menu and need to. Im losing grasp on how many carbs per day.
Yesterday I had the 1 min muffin,
then lunch pepperoni, cheese & an apple. I Know the apple tosses the carbs up higher but I like the fiber it gives.
Dinner was taco salad, no shells.

I started this morning off with pumpkin muffins, I dont even want to think about the carb count in those. But they were very good and filling. I used 2 huge tablespoons of pumpkin to my 1 min muffin mix. They were a bit moist on top but good with cream cheese.

I need veggies today and avoid eating late tonight. I think thats why the 3 lbs came back to visit.

Hope everyone has a good week..
me!

$2 a pound for burger is cheap. If I were to find it at that price here, I would stock up on it.

I have been busy doing mystery shops. Taking the day off from it. I think. There are a few that I can do, but as of now, I ain't doing them. I am tired. I really enjoy it, though. It gets me out of the house for part of the day. Can't beat that.

Today my weight is back down to 167. I think that I am PMSing. Feeling bloated. Yuck.

This weekend DH and I are going to a Halloween bash up in Loveland (2 hours away). It was a memorable party last year. I am looking forward to what will happen this year.

I am trying to figure out what we are having for dinner tonight. I have no clue. Something with chicken?

I guess you are right at $2 a lb but I dont know the person(friend's co-worker's friend), and I'm so leary of ppl anymore. my first thoughts were : did your freezer blow or is the cow sick.. I always thought most ppl were prepared to put their own beef up or have other buyers ready for a quarter or half beef. I'd just rather know the person than take my chances but I do that everyday at the stores too.. LOL! And why 800lbs of grounded up beef... huh? LOL~

I'm feeling stuffed today. Ate out buffet, tried to stay legal, just over ate. So I will skip dinner tonight since I ate so late.
I'm guessing DH will have some chicken too!
