Welcome back Stacy...I loved the snorkeling. We snorkeled with the sting rays too.

I've been so busy with grandmom, i hadn't slept in 3 days but last night she slept through the night which was a much needed break for the both of us.

I must admit with the added stress i have not been eating clean. Someone bought her a box of chocolates and I managed to stay away until someone openned the box, now i can't stop eating them.

Paula - your before and after pics are awesome. You'll have to teach me how to do it. KUTGW. Isn't weird that when we start to lose we start eating more, almost like self sabatoge!

Great pic, Paula!!

Justine, put the chocolates down. Step away from the chocolates.

Down another pound. 177.5. It's all good.

Making a pot of beans and a pot of greens for dinner tonight. Whatever beans are leftover I am gonna make Chunkie Chili out of. Whatever greens are leftover will go with some baked fried chicken tomorrow.

Here are a couple of pics from vacation. My DD, Randi and me. Me and a couple of HOT Mayan dancers in Cozumel. And also a pic of my guys, Jacob, Jerrimy, and Luke. I didn't hide from the camera at all. Even had a couple pics taken of me intentionally.

Morning ladies.
Sorry Ive been slow. FMS is acting up and I can hardly move.

Justine.. youve worked too hard to get those numbers moving.. dont sabotage yourself. (yes I think we all do it, too!)
Stress is the biggest eater, is it not?? Yeah I agree, I think when we do lose, we give ourselves room to cheat... I really want to keep up with this Woe because I know I will have to improve by next year.

STacy Im so jealous! You look awesome in your dress! You've come along way from your first pictures youve posted... the kids look great.. just looks like you all had fun.

I couldnt figure out how to get my pictures sidebyside & all the same size. i ended up having to put a frame around it just to get rid of the extra white boarder. I should have let dd13 do it.. she knows how to play on these computers. I'll repost when I can get it right.

Dont know what I'll eat today. I know I have to up the water.. Im at 195 this morning.

I'll post more later...

Thank you for the kick in the pants. I'm glad I have you ladies. I threw out the chocolates.

I realize that I don't want to go back to the weight i was so i have to control my "stress" eating or eat legal foods.

I weighed myself at 2:50pm and I at 217. So i'm glad i haven't done to much damage.

My confession...
I ate LC ice cream.. I dont care if its low carb or not, I feel awful!
Does it seem like after you go for so long without something sweet, you crave it almost uncontrolably???
I'm tired of salads. I want fruit! I want a big ol yeasty roll! I'm even craving PINTO BEANS!
Okay, I'm over the rant!

I forgot to empty the dirty water in the carpet cleaner last week, I just emptied it and it smells like a big turd down here in the basement.. Makes for stayin on the pc less enjoyable!

More later..
Hope everyone can behave better than me.. I need to take my own advice huh, Justine? LOL!~
Good job tossing the chocolates... I think I'll go toss the rest of the LC ice cream. Its only gave me gas!

Hugs ladies!

Hello Ladies!

Sorry I haven't been on here too much this week. It has been murder trying to get things back to normal around here. I think that we are almost there, though.

My DS14, had a birthday party/sleepover last night. I sincerely do not get teenage boys at all. It woulda been fine, but the 4 boys kept picking on my DS8. I smacked my son in the back of the head when I heard him messing with his brother. Ended up now the boys are all gone and DS14 is grounded because he wouldn't stop and he let his friends continue to pick on the younger one. Even after being warned. I need a drink. DH is gonna sit down with him tonight and talk to him about why that isn't right. Hopefully a man to man talk will help him.

TOM has finally hit me. Hard. Hoping that once it is done I will lose an extra pound or two. I am down to 173.5. Not too bad. I can deal with that. Once again, I weigh a little less than DH. PMS has been really bad this month. I am beginning to think that I need to go to a doctor and talk about it. It seems to be lasting longer and I am moody, irritable, wanna be alone, tired, crampy, binging, and all around feeling gross. The last doctor I talked to about this looked at me like he thought I was lying. I left his office feeling miserable and ashamed. It has left me with no desire to return to see if someone else can help.

Ok, onto better things. I am gonna put some of the vacation pics on myspace here in a little bit. If ya wanna take a look, please feel free.

I haven't even bothered to weigh because I fell off the wagon and I'm crawling to get back on.

I have to go to the store and stock up on veggies and other staples. I'm just so stressed out that dieting doesn't seem to matter right now, and I'm so tired from being up all night with grandmom that all i want is carbs to try and get energy.

I'm hoping to start fresh with a new week. Wish me luck.

Justine sorry to hear you are so stressed.. yes take care of yourself, this might not be the time to worry bout carbs. If its carbs you crave, just make it good ones...
then dont beat yourself up... You've done better than I would ever do under your circumstances.

Hope monday is better.. for all of us..

Stacy, took a look at the vacation pictures... great ! Just makes me want a vacation now! I've got the money just not the man willing to take time away from work... I've told the kids from the beginning , if I ever reach my goal weight I'd go on a cruise, if DH didnt go, I'd take them with me..
Just looks like a lot of fun!

Hang in there girls!

Hi All,
We are on our way back to TN. It is with a heavy heart but TN is my "comfort zone".
Justine, my heart goes out to you...I know what you are going through. I have to ask you, have you contacted Hospice yet? I know the word Hospice can be a little scary, but they can tell you what to do even if they are not needed. They have come out for the last 2 years to help my uncle with my aunt. She has the final stages of Alzheimer's, but is not actually needing the services of Hospice yet. They have put my uncle in touch with a few people that come in to sit with my aunt so he can get a good nights sleep. They sit with my aunt while she sleeps and is there if she wakes up. I wish I was near you so I could help out. It is a very hard time to be alone. You are in my prayers as is your Grandmom. If I can help in any way just let me know.
Hugs >^.,.^<
I meant to add that I am also getting back on track tomorrow after a very high carb couple of weeks. I'm pretty sure I will feel better...at least that is what I am hoping. >^.,.^<

B: soymilk, 1 cup. 2T natural Peanut butter, 1 small chopped apple.. Blended into a smoothie.
L: Salad & steamed veggies with butter
D: Avocado, Cucumber, tomato salad, deep fried tufo & grilled peppers with marinade.

Back to 195 this morning.. Yeah!
Please over look my menus, Like I posted earlier, Im helping dd13 with her own diet. TRying to show her that being vegan dont mean its all fake meat from a box! She loves the cucumber & sprout wraps.
I told her I couldnt go cold turkey on the meat, just because Ive got too much invested in nitrate free bacon, and other things, but I would wean myself. I'm not excluding fish or turkey. Free roam, no antibotic chicken too. Told her if you go vegan do it right and healthy. So looking at organic veggies is so pricey, but have located an old friend who will save us some farm fresh eggs. Yeah!

Bear with me as I do this experiment with daughter, I may end up a few pounds heavier or maybe lighter... Im so afriad of the apples.. but gez we are suppose to add those back in later arent we? Oh and DD13 has lost 8lbs in 3 weeks. this is good for a girl that still eats pringles and dip!
more later girls!

WOW Paula, You are my HERO! I have a niece in CA that is vegan. They were going to fly me out to make her vegan wedding cake 2 years agi, but I don't fly. They found a bakery in SF.
I could go vegan or at least vegetarian. I can't handle soy, but there are ways around that. I would also love the veggie wraps. I used to do those when I worked, but I added cheese. I think the way you are doing it is fantastic. You are eating organic and additive free foods. That is really the best way to go. I am still trying to find somebody in our area that will sell me raw milk. It is labeled "for animal use only". It is simply pure raw milk. I heard a Dr. on TV say that obesity is rampant because of the additives and all the messing around they have done to our food. My grandfather used to complain about store-bought milk all of the time. He started buying his milk from a neighbor that had cows and he lived to be 96...and healthy as a horse.
I think the fantastic thing about your daughter is that she is getting some real healthy foods, well, except the pringles and dip part
OK kids, I am off to make coffee...we are back on the road and getting closer and closer to Tennessee...I can almost smell the mountains >^.,.^<

Hi Mary - yes we have hospice, we would have to hire someone to come sit with her at night and the funds are just not there. She's not doing to well so I think I can suffer through this for her sake.

Do you ladies remember the job interview i had for a work at home position? Well the offered me the job...I'm trying to talk them into letting me start next week. Since GM isn't doing well.

Congratulations on the job offer, Justine. That is terrific. I am sorry that your grandmom is not doing well. You are so wonderful for taking care of her.

Vegan, dunno if I could do that. Vegetarian, I could do that. No one else in my family could. It was hard when we went from meat and potatoes to meat and meat. Although, I would love some recipes. When you come across some that you really enjoy, Paula, feel free to pass them on.

Mary, glad to see you again. We miss you when you aren't here.

I am doing well today. My weight is at 172.5. 23 pounds to go.

Went on a ride yesterday. One of the guys picked me up. I squealed like a little girl. The ride was lots of fun. The weather is getting cooler, so the rides are becoming fewer. But, I gotta admit, this is my favorite time of year.

Haha! My bad.

At the end of the night when I weigh the same as I did in the morning, I normally end up about a pound less the next day. It has always been that way until this week. Eh, it is all good.

Looking for menu ideas. Here is what I have so far for this week.

Chunkie chili (didn't get to make it last week, doing it for sure tomorrow)
Spicy chicken and broccoli with faux fried rice
Grilled burgers with whatever fresh veggies in the fridge
Shredded chicken and green beans (the family also gets dumplings)
Mustard crusted pork chops, greens, and rosemary/dill new potatoes (having company. Have never tried these chops.)
Meatloaf, caulimash, broccoli or green beans
Baked Fried Chicken, roasted okra, and deviled eggs (box taters for the family)

My goal is to set up a menu for the month. That way I always know what I am making for dinner and it helps keep grocery cost down. I use to do this all the time and had fallen out of the habit. Need to get back into it. I also know that I have most of the ingredients on hand already.

I am back to pre-vacation weight. 169.5. Woo-hoo!

I was flipping through the Dana Carpenter book The Low-carb Barbecue Book. It looks great! I went ahead and ordered it from Amazon for $1.75 (plus $4 s&h ). There is a recipe for Bacon-Shrimp Kebobs and also Lemon-Balsamic Catfish Kebobs that I really want to try. The part that is so cool about this book is my DH is really into it and wants to make some of these things.

Tonight's dinner is gonna be spicy broccoli and chicken with faux fried rice. Really need to use my cauliflower.

Our golden retriever has an appointment tomorrow. He has a skin infection that we have been trying for months to get rid of. We have changed his food, his shampoo, given fish oil caplets to him, all kinds of stuff. He is hurting and scabby with sores that are no longer going away. I dread how much this will end up costing. That is a bigger part of why we haven't taken him in yet. But, he is not himself anymore. Just big and mopey and not wanting to run and play. Hope that they will be able to help him.
