Wanted: penpals

Hello ...I've been trying to find a "place" on here for awhile but it just seems like everyone already knows everyone else and maybe I'm just a bit bashful. So I figured I would try to find my own.

Hmmm a little about me, I'm a 35 soon to be 36 yr old mother to 4 boys. I have a very dry sense of humor and love to talk and laugh--- Hee-hee I feel like i'm interviewing for a job.

I lost 70lbs three years ago doing low carb. The last 18 months or so I have been floundering a bit .....ok I'll be honest I've been pretty much eating everything, lol. About 3 weeks ago I came to the realization that I have not been as happy with myself or felt as good as when I was living the low-carb lifestyle almost two years ago.
It seems to be coming off a lot slower this time of course with all the yo-yo'ing I have done to my body the last year it prob. doesn't know what to expect anymore. But I am in this for the long haul it just sure would be nice to make a few good friends along the way.

I know what you mean about the junk in the kitchen...it's hard to keep out of the house when you have kids. I can understand your dw's frustration, my dh used to play baseball and between the practices and the games I would start to get a little upset also. Dh is not a spring chicken anymore ( he would not like me saying that about him,lol ) the only baseball he plays is catch with the boys.
Good luck getting to the gym this afternoon. I'm gonna try to get on the treadmill awhile after lunch. I did go ahead and went 2 miles last night and did one this morning. My goal is go 4 a day.

Thats very true, mentality wise he's a twenty-something but the knees don't feel the same way, lol. And way cool on the picnic...that'll get ya some points. I need to get a gym membership sometime, my oldest son is begging but I'm such a tightwad.
And welcome b-ball it's not a problem at all. We will have a very well rounded group.

I live in a very small town and I think it's like 30 a month for a family membership. Not as bad as the big towns but they don't have the state of the art equipment to offer either. Oh man, sorry about the knees I thought of my parents when you wrote that. Three of my boys ( the last one is counting down the days until he is big enough) play football. My dad is always lecturing my oldest about how he's going to mess up his knees for life. But the kid breathes football there is no stopping him.
So do you guys want to post our menu's daily? It might make us more accountable.

So far I've had a bowl of sausage & pumpkin soup for breakfast. I know soup for breakfast but I didn't have time for anything else, lol.
I had a small salad with cheese, dressing and bacon bits with a hamb. patty. And two jalapeno poppers for snack. I'm been drinking, drinking , drinking water all day. I'm pretty bad about not getting enough in. I have no idea what I'm doing for dinner tho.

p.s. I'll warn you all now...my spelling is terrible but I'm way to short on time to mess with spell check, lol.

Hope you won...good job on the work-out. I'm going to get on the treadmill after American Idol is on.
I have a 9 yr. old too, he is a huge Texas Longhorn fan.... if he gets his way we will be painting his room longhorn orange this summer. The kid never cries but he bawled like a baby when K-State beat them this year, lol.

Well I never did get my miles in last night. Not feeling to well and decided to go to bed instead. I've been really looking for new recipes to try and have a huge grocery list now.
So far today I made two scrambles eggs with mushrooms but after a couple of bites they weren't tasting too good so I tossed them and had 1/2 a grapefruit instead. I hope it doesn't hurt too bad, i wasn't wanting to add fruit in yet but it was the only thing that sounded good. I have no idea yet what lunch is going to be, dinner will prob. be some kind of fish.

Don't get down, this is a process it will take time. I eat when I get mad and frustrated too. If the scale isn't doing what I think it should be then I'll start grabbing for stuff I know is off limits. Its stupid cause the only one I'm hurting is myself but i do it anyway time after time. This time i'm not letting it get to me no matter how slow the scale is. At least it's going down or staying the same not up.
What were some of the things you were eating wrong?

i was eating nuts, drinking coffee with caffeine. drinking stuff with aspartame.
the book said no more than 3 cups of greens a day. i think i was eating more than that. i was eating prosessed meats, like pepporni, smoked sausage, ketchup.

I switched to decaff last week and cut way, way back on how much I drink. Man do I miss my coffee, lol. Personally I would cut out the nuts and ketchup. I wouldn't worry too much about going over on greens. I noticed at the store tonight that they had sugar free ketchup it had one carb I think. Luckily I'm not a ketchup fan so I don't miss it at all, lol.

Still havent got any exercise but my meals today were

bf-half grapefruit, couple of bites of eggs
lunch- handful of rinds with a bit of dip and a slice of pepperjack cheese
dinner-tuna salad and cucumbers

Morning!!!! how was your weekend???? mine was good. spent some good time with the fam. took my better half to the lake and ate some lunch. it was good. then we took our oldest son and daughter to the park to work on their sports. Britt is 9 and she is playing soccer and Pat his is 8 will be 9 in july, he is playing football this year. after that we went back to the lake with the whole family. i wanted to see if my 1 1/2 Chco lab would get in the water. he did. we were playing fetch. i was about ankle deep in the water. i took one wrong step, and cut my foot on some glass in the water. so that was my weekend!!!

Good Monday
Glad you had a great weekend. Mine went well also, pretty much hung out here with the family we just put in a horseshoe pit and have been putting it too use, lol. Had friends over for dinner Sat. night and I stayed on plan so I was proud of myself. It worked because I was down another couple pounds. It's coming off slow but it is coming off.
Cool about the dog...my dh and kids want one so bad but I keep saying no,lol. I need to get my 6 yr. out to work with him on catching a baseball. it's going to be his first year playing...going to be interesting because he has the attention span of a gnat!

I've been to Texoma, Dh and I were there with his family to go stryper fishing. We had the most awesome guide, it was a blast. The horseshoes are fun but I pretty well stink at it so much my 15 yr.old boy kicks my butt everytime, lol.
my menu so far today
b- fried egg with sausage patty
l- bowl of sausage pumpkin soup
not too sure about dinner but I'm thinking about salad and some grilled chicken with veggies. I'm excited I had some strawberries w/ whipped cream last night and it didn't mess me up at all. I was still in ketosis and down another pound this morning. woo-hoo!!
Good job on the water I'm going to go slam a glass now...i'm bad about not getting enough in.
