Diet Buddy with about 25 lbs to go?
I am 33 and mother of 3. I am a SAHM and also a full-time college student. I made up my mind to finally get rid of the extra weight I am carrying once and for all by changing my life to low carb eating. It has more benefits for me than just weight loss. I need a buddy, someone to chat with, share stats, progress, recipes, talk to on an almost daily basis and daily if possible. Please let me know if you are interested.

How's it going?? Do you have a buddy yet? I have been looking for someone to chat with. I have lost 10 lbs since Jan 8. But have hit a stall...proably because I am doing weight training. I am only 5'3" and am now at 148. It's all in my middle. I really would be happy weighing 138 but 125 would be better. How tall are you??? You muct be short to only want to weigh 115. When I was 20 I weighed 115. Then came kids and beer. Not at the exact same time. Actually I think the kids lead me to the beer. Just kidding. I have a 32 year old step daughter a 15 & 18 year old sons. I have been married for 26 years. Do you go to a gym at all? What is your workout regamint? Drop a line when you got time Jacqueline ![]()

Thank you for your response. I didn't know what I said to scare everyone off.I am a 33 year old mom with a 5 year old son, 10 year old step-son, and 12 year old step-daughter. I am trying to lose 20 pounds by July and thought it would be nice to have someone to talk to who is going through the same thing. I am 5'0 so yes very short. Once I get to 115 I will reevaluate to see if I need to go lower. I might have to. I started this on Feb 6th and I have lost 4 pounds. Right now it's TOM so that can be discouraging but maybe I will get a wooosh when it's done. I exercise alot (IMO). I have a step aerobics class on MWF and Yoga on T and Th. Then right after step aerobics I do the elliptical for 30 min and after yoga I meet a friend at the rec center and walk for an hour. That is a pretty steady schedule. I don't skip out on it unless one of my kids are sick. I know this is going to be a slow process but this is a life change for me. I know that my body doesn't handle carbs well and I have known it for a long time but I am finally willing to deal with it and make changes. Do you get on the boards everyday. I am hoping to have someone to check in with at least on a daily basis. Cool?

Okay.....you have one then! I am a 33 year old married mom with one son, one step-son, and one step-daughter. I am not looking for someone to lose the same amount of weight as me but just someone to talk to. I think when trying to lose weight we all have alot of the same struggles.
Anyway, write me and let me know you are still interested.. Michelle |

ABSOLUTELY!!! HELLO! Looks like you are from Texas, is the weather nice there? It is a beautiful day in Reno. Great day for a long walk, my favorite exercise to do...I also want to start walking at a faster pace in hopes to start to train for the Breast Cancer Walk/Run in October. It's only a 5K but I want to run it this year instead of falling behind because I'm too fat to walk like the rest! Not any more!!

Well, I have lived in a few different place but Texas is where I ended up...lol. It has been beautiful here but is supposed to start storming tonight and not end until the weekend is over. I love to walk also. I actually did walk this morning at our Rec Center after my Yoga class.
I have been thinking of setting a goal for myself like maybe a 5k. I have done 5k's before but always walking. I think I will look and see what is coming up. That is such a great idea. Congrats on all the weight you have lost so far. You are doing great! Do you eat coconut oil? How many calories are you eating a day? Just curious. I have recently upped my calories thinking I might be a little low and it seems to have helped but it's TOM right now so I won't know for sure for a few days. Well, I am going to go for now. Talk to you soon! |

I have not used coconut oil but I see people on this site that talk about it. What would you use it for? Cooking? As far as calories, I haven't been counting, only carbs. I also do not watch fat content. I no longer have the TOM, hysterectomy when I was 32. I am going back to work for awhile, have a wonderful day and I will talk to you very soon!
