Need PenPal in Texas

Hi,

I am 33 and have a 5 year old son, 10 year old step-son, and 12 year old step-daughter. I am a full-time student. I just started the low carb 5 days ago and would love to have a pen pal to chat with and keep up with each others progress. I am going to lose 21 more pounds.

Michelle

Thank you so much..I have really struggled today. Even went over my carbs a bit. The cravings have just not really gone away although I am feeling much better physically.

I need some support. I would like to hear your experience and just have someone to talk to and get to know.l
Thank you,
Michelle

Michelle, I struggle everyday to so you are not alone. We all struggle so don't let anyone fool ya ok.
Its hard to lose weight but we must stick to it in order to lose it. You will have good days as well as bad days so do not let the bad ones stop you from going on.

I have been on low carb for six years and have lost over 100 lbs. already and still have around 50 or so to go to meet my goal and I still have a hard time. I have gained some back every now and then and messed up so many times I can't count them all but I keep on going forward and not looking back on my failures. If we do that then we will lose what we have already accompolished and we don't want to do that. Just take one day at a time and one meal at a time ok and you will be ok.

Do you eat out muych? We do and I get the waiter to bring me a take out box and when my meal comes to the table I divide it in half and eat half and take the other half home for the next day. Try that sometimes, it will keep you from over eating when you dine out. Your plate is always so full anyway in a restaruant like you are feeding two people.

At home I fix my plate with only the right portion size for me to erat for a meal and thats all. I don't even put all the food I cook on the table anymore, I leave it on the stove.

You can PM mail me anytime when you want to chat more.

Thank you so much for your reply. That makes me feel better. When I think of the long term it helps. I know in my heart that I cannot consider this a diet. It has to be a WOL. It is not just about losing weight but feeling better as well. It just is really discouraging thinking I might always feel deprived or fighting cravings. I think it will get easier but for now it's not.

I do not eat out much at all. Maybe once month if that. I usually cook or my husband likes to grill. When I do eat out I can't ever eat all of it. I always take something home. I can't even remember the last time I had fast food. That is one thing that's changed. I used to eat fast food everyday and I don't miss it at all.

I also leave the food on the stove and I also use a small plate for myself so I don't go overboard.

It just helps to have someone to talk to about it. When I mention it to people most of the time I get to hear about how unhealthy it is to have so little carbs so I just stopped talking about it.

Do you watch your calories? Do you watch fat intake? How do you feel about coconut oil? I have seen the threads that say it's nothing short of a miracle but I wonder. I have been melting some with some cocoa powder and stevia.
Then freezing and adding peanut butter. It has helped with the chocolate cravings.

Anyway, keep writing. I would love to hear more about how you have kept doing this for so long.
