Good Morning Everyone:
Got my exercise in this weekend. Even did a round of golf. I can sure tell my new thyroid meds (lower dose) have kicked in. I'm dragging my butt around by 2:00 in the afternoon. Yesterday while golfing, I wanted to quit half way through, but I didn't. I had much more energy when it was too high. I try to accommodate my mom. I live close, but don't visit her very often. I take her to church every Sunday and run any errands she needs done. She always likes to go to lunch after church. Lately because my nephew is with us, she pays for his too (he lives with her and helps her out tremendously), so she wants to keep it cheap, so she likes to go fast food. Well as you know, fast food salads are awful. Iceburg lettuce and all. Anyway, Wendy's has a good selection of dark green lettuce based salads, healthy and wholesome. So I suggested we go there. Mom said she would rather have KFC. Okay fine, KFC it is. I went in and couldn't find anything I could eat and their salads are attrocious. So I sat and watched my mom and nephew eat and didn't order anything. BUT, GET THIS, my mom ordered the chicken ceaser salad!!!!!. Whaaaat? I thought she wanted fried chicken. So it turns out she could have gotten a better salad at Wendys. I thought why would she do that? I still don't know. She just doesn't think sometimes and maybe I'm just being a baby because I didn't get my way. Anyway, her thoughtlessness upset me. Can ya tell? I haven't seen any progress on my scale at home. I know this is the weekly whine session. I get discouraged so easy. I brought induction food with me today for lunch. Even though I eat all LC, I really have a portion control issue. I'm cutting out all cashews (my weakness big time, they prove to be a good substitute for potatoe chips or other crunchy carb ladened foods). I usually eat them right when I get home from work. I'm going to try celery instead for a while, although I get tired of it really quick. Carolyn: Congrats on the baseball win. That type of victory is always relished. I know how the sibling thing can be difficult. Now that DD2 is home for spring break, she and DS are going at it constantly. Ugh, It drives me crazy. Kayan: Don't work too hard. It sounds like you made such great progress with the painting. I really need to get going on my house. Pam: Don't beat yourself up about the cake. I think we all need a break once in a while. Although lately I have been feeling sorry for myself. Especially Friday when the office brought in fresh baked cookies from Paradise Bakery. Everyone was eating them and commenting on how good they are. I kept thinking why me? Why can't I eat what everyone else can? Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning all,
Yesterday was a rainy yucky day...... it rained all day and most of the night also.... Stayed on track with eating and drinking yesterday.... even with the big family dinner last night... Carolyn: congrats on the big win.... I remember in high school as a when we beat our cross town rivals in football for the 1st time ever.... It was a wonderful feeling.... How's the moving? Leslie: I can soooo relate to your feelings.... My MIL isn't easy when it comes to food selections.... She cooks one way and doesn't stray from those recipes.... Portion control is my biggest issue also.... especially snacking in the evening.... Kayan: Hows' the painting going? Sue: Hope you are enjoying your family visit..... Time to go start getting ready.... Have a great day everyone....

Hmmm-I would swear this was the one group I posted in yesterday! Now I can't find the post!
Sorry--yesterday was the usual house cleaning day, followed by taking Mom out shopping for yarn (caution--potential addict!) then making dinner and dealing with a depressed teenage son. I didn't spend a whole lot of time on the 'net or e-mail yesterday. My youngest son is having a hard time with his 1st AP class (US History)--and he is scared that this will be his future on all later AP classes and then impact college choices. I honestly don't know why he has problems studying and writing for this type of class in the same way that I don't understand how he can so easily *get* trig and other advanced maths. I would like to help him, but I'm not sure how to reach. Have any of you ever taken a kid for therapy to develop coping skills for life's challenges and to deal with self esteem issues? I'm seriously considering doing this for him to try to help him out, but I'm not sure where to start. I wish Sherry was still posting since she might give me a clue! Anyway--potentially 80 degrees here today (whew!). Mom will love it since she'll take her sweater off. I'm already in shorts and am going to haul out the indoor plants and hose them off. I'm back on Induction since yesterday. I swear I had to get up 5 times to use the bathroom last night! I'm not sure w3hat the eating plan is for today-tunafish is fast. Mom doesn't think I need to lose more weight (har har har!)--me who still registers in the obese category thankyouverymuch. Thazt is the one advantage of being a tall woman--you can claim to be an Amazon. :-) My first bulb flowers planted in the fall at the farm are going to bloom. TOo soggy yet to plant the stuff arriving. Talk to you later! Thanks for putting up with my less frequent posting-I'm reading everyone though! Sue I'll post the last of my winter pics this week--on the way to my farm-one end of the road. Last edited by Suji : 03-27-2007 at 04:55 AM. |

Hi ladies, I tried to stay on induction type foods yesterday, but wavered. I was starving when I got home from work. So I ate the stupid cashews. Ugh.
And the LC yogert. I have no will power. I need to get back to induction standards for a few weeks to kick my body back into ketosis because apparently it isn't there right now.Sue: I can sympathize with your situation with your son. DD2 was taking College Calculus her senior year. Not an AP class, she just got college credit for it. She ended up dropping it half way through because she couldn't keep up and said she would fail if she didn't drop. She got one college semester's credit with a good grade and dropped in time so the second semester didn't appear on her college transcript. I could tell she was depressed. She would spend hours in her room studying. She didn't ever seem happy. She finally told me she felt overwhelmed and didn't know what to do. She felt like a failure. She had a huge plate of college courses and advanced classes which is how we decided to have her drop the class. It was like a weight lifted off her shoulders and she did fine in the rest of her classes the rest of the year. She was struggling in College English and then had time to devote to that class and ended up with a good grade. Now she's taking precal all over again at college to refresh herself because she has to go way beyond that to get her degree. I hope things work out for your son. Pam great job staying on track with the family dinner. I'm thinking ahead to Easter. Of course, my mother will want to come to dinner that day. So I will cook for everyone else. The good thing is, I can have the ham if it isn't sweetened with sugar or honey, and deviled eggs and asparagus so it won't be too bad. Have a great day. My weigh in is today. I have probably gained (sorry, I'm whining again). |

Hi again. I hope everyone is alive and well.
Well, I didn't show a gain at my weigh in. I lost!!! Yes. Ha Ha. A whopping .8 (eight tenths) of a pound. Ugh for the whole week. I know what my problem is. I'm totally over eating. But I'm hungry. So I need to get back to induction standards that keep the hunger at bay. It's just so hard to revert back. I need to put my nose to the grindstone. I've also been told my body has gotten so used to the lunch hour walks and weekend walks I need to change it up. My walking partners aren't available this weekend, so I'm going to hit the gym instead. I hope the change does some good.Have a great day. ![]() |

Hi Leslie--
At least you are losing. I keep blowing it by taking tastes of things. Yesterday it was Mom's potato salad. I hardly ever make it--my sister does that--so I was trying some of Mom's. No good excuses. I also have to get back to drinking more. My water bottle is in the bedroom--right now all I want to do is crash! (Too much coffee yesterday so wakefulness about 4:30 am). We have fiber guild tonight--Knit 2 Socks at Once is the theme. I've never tried socks before but people are making such jazzy ones to display at the yarn shops! Got a note from the rose source that my order is en route--so that's the next thing to put in as soon as I can. Youngest son has a track meet at his own HS today--I'm trying to figure out what to bring him to eat from home that won't weigh him down. He's in 4 events, so lord help him getting his homework done tonight. He's going to be tired! Have a great day! Sue |

Hi All
Been a busy week here. I hope it slows down soon. I don't have the energy you ladies have. I worked Monday and Tuesday and yesterday a co-worker came to work on her quilt that she is making for her mother. She doesn't have a machine so she is using mine. This was suppose to be a time for me to sew also, but whiled she sewed I put the upstairs bathroom back together and DD1 bedroom that is now a guest /exercise room, The painter finished Monday but with working 14 on Tue. I didn't get anything accomplished here. was tired of moving the clothes basket with all the hair/makeup stuff out of the bathtub to shower then putting it back in to get around the bathroom. I also cleaned out the closet. had a big bag of junk. Why did I even keep that junk?????? I did do a "gift" basket in the guest room filled with sample shampoo, lotion, face mask, razors, room sprays, etc, etc, that I had saved from hotel rooms and free sample that I have picked up from lord knows where. What didn't fit into the basket went into the garbage. Now I only have the living room to put back together. Did find the couch so DH could lay on that last night. Then I am going to take one room at a time and replace items that need it. Curtains, dried flower basket arrangements, pictures, etc, etc. Pam, It must be in the air, as I have also sinned. Yup, you guessd it. I bought a half gallon of coffee cappuccino crunch with dark choc. spiral and toffee pieces on the way home Tuesday night and I finished it last night. Yup 2 nights and its gone. I am so disgusted with myself. That is why I didn't post last night. Some one needs to tape my mouth shut. I should have my jaws wired instead of having braces on, but wait, that won't work either, I couldn't eat but milkshakes would surely go down smoothly!!!! Leslie: you are doing great, I cant even move my butt to exercise, I have a treadmill and a Nordic track. DH has a total gym supra and all they do is take up space in the guest room. I keep promising my self is that when it warms up here I will walk daily. Sue: Oh, I remember those homework days well. I wish we had taken DD2 for life coping skills. She is a Perfectionist. She graduated 4 in a class over 200 and she was bummed about that. She would always feel like a failure. DH and I always told out children just do the best that you can, and that is good enough. She just put so much pressure on herself. It is still there in grad. school today. Carolyn morning will check in later but need to start working on the living room Kayan |

Hi Sue and Kayan:
Okay, Kayan, you are right where I was with the oatmeal cookies. I ate the dough and then had two cookies. I was kicking myself, but after I thought about it, I did enjoy eating a treat for a change. It didn't do any damage as far as weight gain. I just didn't lose much that week. So hopefully now, its out of your system and you can get back on track. Thank goodness, this WOL is so forgiving. Sue, Yumm, I love potatoe salad. Someone suggested to make potatoe salad just like you usually do, but use cauliflower instead. I've never tried it, but I might. A taste or two won't hurt. I stayed semi on track yesterday. Only consumed 28 carbs instead of the 40 I'm used to. It seemed like I was starving all day though, so I snacked throughout. Cheese stick in the morning, salad for lunch, cheese stick about 2 hours later, lc yogurt 2 hours after that. Still hungry at dinner, hit the cashews, but not as many as usual, had about an oz of cheddar cheese, was craving something sweet, so I made a protein shake, drank half and was done for the night. Today I brought HB eggs for snacks if I find myself starving again, because they seem to keep my hunger at bay a little longer. My lunch hour walking partner was gone yesterday and won't be back for the next two weeks. My weekend partners are out this week. I'm on my own. Let's see how I do. Yesterday I walked, but not as vigorously. I stopped at the dollar tree and bought four pairs of sunglasses (I lose them or break them throughout the summer) and two pair of stronger reading glasses (I always misplace them and find my weaker ones aren't working so well anymore). Then I stopped at Marshalls looking for DaVinci's and found some other off brand splenda sweetened syrup. And I stopped at Ross and found some workout pants for $6.00. I didn't walk at home or go to the gym though. May try to tonight cause DD2 won't be home.Enjoy the day and hope to hear from everyone soon. ![]() |

Hello Friends,
Boy, it seems like ages since I have been here, even so it didn't take long to catch up on all the posts. I guess everyone is crazy busy these days. Leslie, I didn't know Dollar Tree had sunglasses! I too lose and break multiple pair every summer, so I am excited to know that they can be found there. I haven't been to Ross' or Marshall's in a long time, and I am thinking I may need to go. I need new sports bras. I am losing slowly about 2 lbs a week lately. I am eating pretty much on plan. I am finding that the diabetes makes it easy to avoid all sugar. I had half of a regular coke on Monday, about 4 oz. and it gave me the most terrible headache! DH was eating ice cream yesterday, and offered me some and I had no trouble turning it down. I was so surprised that it didn't bother me at all. The moving is turning into a nightmare. We have lived in this house since my 16 yr. old began kindergarten, so we have so much to sort through. But it will be done in time. The rain is a problem because we have so much to do on the hill, but cannot get out there because of all the mud right now. Of course it is raining buckets right now. There was already water standing in our yard from Monday. DS1 had a track meet over the weekend and he was in the paper yesterday as the fastest in our region of Texas, in that event. He was surprised because he didn't even know. I am really busy with school and studying, homework etc...but I'm really loving it. I like having somewhere to be everyday, and I like the challenge of the classes. Being around all of the younger people makes me feel younger, and I thought it would be just the opposite. Kayan I hope that you get some rest, you have been working so hard. I am envious of your fresh paint. I love the way fresh paint brightens up a room and makes it seem new. Sue, the pic in your avatar is so pretty. I love the mountains in the distance, what a beautiful place to be. I hope that you sleep more soundly tonight. How did the socks turn out? DS1 is an over achiever as well, and extremely competetive. He seems to excel at most everything he attemps, so when he does fail he is very hard on himself, and will stay in a slump for 3 or 4 days. The slumps are never long lived. If I thought he were really suffering in a depressive state I wouldn't hesitate to take him for counseling. Well, I have to go. I have to study and don't want to be doing it late into the night. Have a great weekend! Carolyn |

Morning all,
Still on track with eating, drinking and exercise.... Scale is down 2 lbs this morning.... Carolyn: we have had the rains here too.... Looks like we dodged most of them yesterday though.... Sorry the move isn't going smoothly for you.... Glad to hear that school is going well for you... Sue: My DD is a perfectionist also.... She was always much harder on herself than we could ever be.... She still is pretty hard on herself... If you are concerned you could talk to his counselor at school and they can talk to him and/or advise you.... How did the socks come out? Kayan: Good job on getting things done... and back into place... Jump back on track.... you can do this... Leslie: Never thought about getting sunglasses at the dollar store.... I don't tend to have a problem with losing them though.... What SF syrup did you get at Marshalls? I bought a brand called Artisan and didn't care for it.... It didn't seem to have much flavor.... I usually buy either the DaVinci or Torani (get this at World Market) brands.... The Super WalMart here has a few DaVinci flavors on the coffee isle... So glad that today is Friday..... Am hoping to get some things done in the flower beds this weekend... but looks like it is supposed to rain most of the day tomorrow.... Hope everyone has a good day... |

Kayan, Leslie, Carolyn, Pam--
Yes, it seems that with the spring energies, all the list talk is slowing way down. It's more a time for doing than being inside with fingers tapping on keys! Today I'm going to go to the farm and dig some holes for the rose bushes that are to arrive any day now. I really want to get asparagus in the ground too--I'll check the bed to see if it is ready. Been so doggone wet in ground lately! Pam--I did not get to the socks. I am all but finished with my knitted headband and I'll do a hat next and start playing with the multiple needles for socks. It's all stuff in this old booklet that I have that has items that are small and quick to make. I was trying to learn how to cast on for the mobius scarf thing (very confusing for *me*!) while my sis and Mom were learning the sock cast on. Everything took too long to get far! :-) I wish I could return my Mom home all "cured" but that is not gonna happen. SHe is carrying so much extra weight from belly to ankles that any exercise is a real effort for her. SHe has poor leg/foot flexion from the destroyed lymph channels during her leg infection several years ago and it is a real challenge to get her to walk for long. What she wants is a chair at both ends of the effort. Mom was never one to be physically active-ride bikes, hike. Just not an active sort, so building in those habits at age 72 seems kind of futile. But we are having a nice time together. My youngest son is used to my level of conversation and thinks "Grandma talks too much." (Grin) I'm glad you like the pics. How about I put one from last Fall up to make us look forward instead of back toward the cold? This is part of the late blooking plantings along the walkway to the farm (Phlox, salvia, nicotiana, alyssum, etc) Carolyn--I knew you'd like going back to school! :-D ALthough a lot of work, it kept my thinking young anbd al the walking to and from classes daily wasn't bad exercise! Hye Kayan--come and do my painting pretty please! Mom and I went to the local Antiques Mall yesterday. I was looking for inspriation on what to do with the main room at the farm. Still a puzzle! Still needs to be finished! Lelslie-yeah, I heard about the cauliflower replacement for taters. Just haven't tried it. I bought myself some pork rinds to snack on. Used to eat those plenty last time on Atkins. My new remotivation came with our friends posting some old photos of me and I look like such a blob. I started to write down what I was eating daily again too. What is different though is the veg increase--Mom loves to eat vegetables and it's spring, sooooo. Just gotta watch the high sugar ones like peas in quantity. Ta! Sue Last edited by Suji : 03-30-2007 at 04:42 AM. |

morning all
A day off today,, was suppose to be in court at 8 this am, but the person suddenly pleaded guilty yesterday. So now I am going shopping to get tings I need for the rooms that I have redone. New curtains, dollies, etc etc. Then all I have to do is get DH to hang the pictues back up. Still have a little more "weeding out" to do. But it will have to wait till next week. I work this weekend 14's the on Monday I am working a double. Sue: sorry I can't help you with your painting but, I can give you the name of my Uncle who did mine. Sue you have such beautiful pictures and great taste. You certainly have a green thumb Carolyn: great to hear from you. Our rains are coming, April and May tend to be wet here Leslie; sometimes you can find great finds at the Dollar store. I am headed there today Pam: I can't even think about flowers along my walk way for another 2 months. Usually around Memorial day is when we get to plant or in June My B-day is the 2nd and the kids usually get me flowers to plant everyone have a good day have a lot of errands to do out town as not much else will get accomplished this weekend. Hi Ladies: Last but not least. DD2 was home last night after all so I couldn't go to the gym. I had errands to run (all on foot of course) at lunch so didn't get as vigorous a walk in as I would have liked. Won't today either. Don't know if I can go to the gym tonight, but I will hit it hard in the morning.
Didn't stay on induction standards yesterday. Those darned cashews. I had strawberries at dinner too. But so little, it's hard to think they will hurt anything. I consumed 39.8 carbs. Not the great 28 I hit the day before. I watched Ugly Betty last night. Willamina (the mean lady) found a cashew in her office. She made the comment "who would eat such a thing at 15 grams of fat per serving?" Well, there ya go. But I thought the fat in cashews was the good kind and we need the fats along with the protein and veggies, right? And its better than eating potatoe chips.Carolyn: Congrats on your son doing so well at the track meet. I assume you saved the paper. I have several issues with DD2 in them for water polo. It's always so fun to show everyone. Sue: I love the pic. It's so beautiful where you are. Wow, your mom is only 72. Mine will turn 83 in September. I am the youngest in my entire immediate family. My oldest sis is 10 years older than me. My mom has always been health conscious since her diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol scare back when she was my age. But she's never exercised much. I think that's her downfall. Her inactivity. Now she has so much trouble moving around. She depends on her wheel chair around the house and when she walks is hunched over her walker. But, she's very sharp. She does exercise her brain with difficult crossword puzzles, lots of reading, etc. Kayan: Have a great day off. I was scheduled for Jury duty the last week of December. I got it posponed until the third week of July because I had a scheduled vacation that week. I figured the wedding will be over by then and I will be on the road to recovery. I never get selected to serve on the panel after voir dire (jury questioning) because I work in a law office. But for some reason, I keep receiving jury subpoenas. I've been subpoenad every two years for the last 20. It's ridiculous with a city as big as Portland you would think they would call someone else. Pam: I need to hit my flower bed too. I got one done, two more to go. And I want to dig up the bare patch in the back yard and plant veggies. But, as usual, it's supposed to rain here too so chances are it won't get done. It's been beautiful the past two days, but I've been stuck in the office. I need to get cracking. Lots of work to do. Till later. ![]() |

Good Morning,
Well, here it is Sat and I am up as usual.... We are planning on going to see the new Sandra Bullock movie, Premonition this afternoon, then we have a dinner at church tonight.... Eating, drinking and exercise are still on track..... So far so good.... Appetite has really been pretty minimal these past few days... Sue: What about something like water aerobics for your mom? It is really easy on the joints of the legs and such.... I have a coworker who is very overweight and has bad knees... She has started going there at her drs reccomendation... Love the avitar... Looks like a very peaceful place... What is a "mobius" scarf? Kayan: Ok, you are really going to haveto post some pics of your new rooms when you get them finished..... I am looking to do some redecorating this summer... Carolyn: From the weather reports it looked like y'all were really getting nailed with the rains yesterday... Hope all is well.... We had another big storm roll through over night.... Leslie: I love cashews.... but did you know that they are really considered a bean (legume) and not a nut? How about eating almonds instead.... I served on a jury a couple of years ago... was a whistle blower case against a state agency... was pretty interesting.... Saw a new recipe on that forum.... Cheesesteak Mannicotti.... sure looks good... had intended on making it last night but plans changed... so will be making it this weekend though.... Am going to take care of some emails and work some on a video project.... Hope everyone has a good weekend... |

Hi Pam, Kayan and Leslie--
Mom has mentioned that she and Dad "ought" to go to regular swimming for their problems, but I honestly don't think it will ever get beyond talking about it. Mom really just doesn't easily get out of her rut. Like people who have sustained a joint injury and have surgical repair; they are supposed to move it and work through the pain. She hates pain and the feeling of exertion, so never gets as far as she needs to to get to a higher level. THis is my observation, at least. So, I went to the farm yesterday to dig holes and didn't the Fedex truck pull up with a box from Canada--my bareroot roses! Hurray! I got all 8 holes dug and the roses put in, topped with the composted horse manure from next door! If I had enough time (had to run back to pick up son3 from track), I would have put the asparagus in. I guess my next task will be to lay out the tree spacing for the bareroot apple trees I'm going to fetch from the nursery next week. My muscles will hopefully have mended by then--I'm feeling some muscle strain this morning from the sod lifting! I enjoyed taking those pics of the flowers. We're going to a place that has 7 greenhouses of flowers next week so I can get some annuals and perennials already started. It is such fun to watch how the combinations come out. That is my old red shed (currently used for gardening stuff) in the background of the pic. It's pretty good sized. :-) Mobius is an endless shape. The scarf is a twisted ring. Still haven't figured out the process! I sent my DH out for breakfast stuff. Our caretaker friend is coming by to do laundry, hang out with DH (watch silly movies, drink wine, and yak yak yak) and spend the night. TTFN! Sue Last edited by Suji : 03-31-2007 at 05:01 AM. |

Hi ladies. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
Pam: Unfortunately, I don't like nuts. Never have, never will. Which explains why I only like cashews and peanuts, both legumes. I hopefully am over the cashew thing. So many people have told me I need to eat almonds. I just can't stomach them. A childhood aversion I guess. What is really weird is I was almost rejected from the study I'm in because of my dislike of nuts. I told the people doing the screening I would be willing to work around that.Sue: Sounds like you are doing great getting your plants in. I have lillies coming up in the bed I haven't raked out and weeded yet. They got the jump on me, so I need to get busy. I had too many people home this weekend to get anything like that done. My lawn needs mowing and a few other things need doing. We had a house full last night so I made taco salad for everyone. I bought some chips for everyone else and had mine on a bed of lettuce. It was really good and all I ate was LC. I did hit the gym, but at 7:30 am both days. That's the only way I was going to be able to go. I went looking for a dress to wear to the wedding. No luck. Everything is black, brown and green. I'm looking for pink, yellow, pastel green or blue. Even a floral print if I can find one. I thought the stores would have made the transition for Easter, but evidently the styles out here are blacks and browns this year. Bleh. Hope we all have a great week. ![]() |

Hello Ladies,
Sue the photo of your farm is just so pretty, it looks like a page from a calendar. Pam, do you teach typing? I have been typing for a very long time and am fairly fast and accurate, but having trouble with the Mavis Beacon program. I have become so frustrated! Leslie, I am in awe of your discipline and progress. What type of gym are you going to? We have an awsome YWCA in Waco, and I am thinking about going there. I am sorry that my posting is really sporadic right now. I am so busy these days that I am meeting myself coming and going. I am still up because I have been studying, but I am about to go to bed. I have to get up early tomorrow because I have to get to the DMV to renew my tags before I go to school. I didn't even realize they were expired until I was pulled over and given a warning this afternoon. Oh what a weekend I ended up having! My air conditioner, refrigerator, vaccum, and iron all bit the dust since Friday afternoon! On my way home this evening I picked up a new vaccum and iron. I'll have to call a repairman and schedule a time, and I don't know about the fridge. I really don't have time to shop this week for anything! I also need a new dress. I am singing a solo at church on Sunday in our Easter program, and since I am going to be standing out front-I would like to wear something that isn't so baggy. I have to admit that I am really blowing this diet this week! With all of the things going on right now I am exhausted! Also with the fridge and the air having gone out, cooking is out of the question. It is so hot here in Texas already. It feels as though we have gone from winter to summer without Spring. I am still wanting to go to Dollar Tree, and Marshalls but haven't had time! With the moving I have a zillion small errands to tend to. Gotta go, I am about to fall asleep now, Carolyn |

Hey Leslie, Carolyn!
I fully understand the other calls on our time! We post as we can, y'know! I'm blowing it too with Mom here. Not stupendously but I won't lose a thing, I'm sure. I will get back on the straight and narrow after she leaves. We are going out to the farm today--I told her we would check out the local greenhouse guy (7 of them!). WE have got to get the asparagus and onions into the ground. Would you believe snow events on Thursday and Friday?! Aaauuugggghhhhh! So much to do, so little time! WHoops! I need to go see my kid off to school! Sue |

Morning all,
I am pretty upset this morning..... the scale is up 4 lbs... and I have been following eating plan diligently... and drinking tons of water... I must have gotten too much salt or something... Leslie: My DD is not a nut eater.... WTG with staying on track and making it to the gym... You might look at David's Bridal for a dress... they are online.... Carolyn: No, I don't teach typing.... even alot of the schools nowdays don't teach it like they did when we were in school.... Are you using Mavis for something specific? Is it a part of a class? You have so much going on right now.... Hang in there.... Our weather here has been so pretty and warm these past few days.... and the bluebonnets are gorgeous... Off to get ready for work..... Have a great day..... |

Morning All
Finally a day off, worked the weekend and yesterday, ended up working 16.6 yesterday. I was so tired driving home last night good thing, in a way it was snowing, yes, snowing, It made me pay attention to the road more, as it was so haard to see the road. Lucky, It waited till I was a 1/2 mile from the house before it was really bad, It's 9 am and still snowing here got a couple of inches oh heavy wet snow, everything does look beautiful outside. Suppose to be another storm Wed. into Thur and I work again on Thur. Today's project is to gert the livingroom finally back together. Have to iron the new drapes and put the bookshelves (built in on 2 walls) back "together" a co-worker is coming over to work on her quilt, but I have still to much to do to sew today. I hope by next week to have everything done. Sue: Your farm looks so beautiful. I would love to go to the greenhouse's with you. That sounds like a heavenly way to spend the day. Carolyn: Isn't that the way things go, when one things go wrong it just keeps on happening. I haven't tamed the ice cream monster yet. I am telling myself that today is it. Pam: That's why I don't weigh myself I use my jeans as an indicator. I use to get to upset and say to heck with it and really blow it. I know I am only fooling myself by only cheating with ice cream, but at least I have kept all the other sugar/bread monster at bay. At least that what I tell myself Leslie: I love nuts and have to be areful as I have portion control issues with them everyone have a good day and I will catch you later Kayan |
