WED

Morning girls,

I am doing 30 mins on the tread but it is definately not enough. The rain is gone (for now) so I can get my butt to the park. It's not as boring to walk the park ya know?

Ash you do sound like you're back to your old self. I'm happy for you. I knew you would. Funny...we have this restaurant by the house called Pho Pho Pho. We laugh because we have this ongoing joke..when you don't want someone to have your phone number you say, "it's fo fo fo and a couple mo fo's"

Well I better get my booty to cleaning up this place.

"fo, fo, fo, and a couple mo' fo's" I love that!!! At the libr I got a Vietnamese cookbook, and the recipe is the same recipe as one that I pulled off the net for Pho, not crediting the lady that wrote the book. I also picked up that book that has all the secret recipes of restaurants and junk food....not at all like I need that but I thought it would be fun to look at. They have a recipe for twinkies in there.

You see all sorts of cool people in the LA area (well I wouldn't say the Bush is cool, but I guess he is important to some people, LOL)

Good that you got in half an hour of walking, ease back into it.

We just had some lunch and now back to cleaning up. Ash

THURS

Good afternoon!

I've been out all morning running errands. I'm still not done. I need to go out one more time.

If your stomach is growling that much you really should put a little something in it Ash. You don't want your body to think it's starving ya know?

Well, I better get to the market. I've gotta get iggy greens n some beer for super bowl sunday.

Talk soon huh?

PS. for dinner I just made the most outrageous Khao Soi chicken curry, a take off of one of the recipes in the Hot, Sour, Salty, Sweet cookbook. The book is an amazing read, it is worth checking out just to see all the great pics and stories the couple has in the book. What a life they have lived, traveling all over eating and learning recipes, culinary adventure, heaven!!

afternoon girls, TGIF, late. E slept in a little today and then we went to buy a pressure cooker, Caro is going to show me how to make flan in it, she says they turn out really well in it and fast, in ten minutes as opposed to 35 minute in the oven. Then a had a veggie and beef stir fry and now we are home.

Need some help with my eating!!!

I’m kinda new here. I joined a few days ago and I am looking for someone to help me with this low carb journey. I am 5”2’ and weight approx 170lbs but the scale is not my friend right now so I have not weighed in awhile. I am trying the meat and eggs diet but I slipped today and had Chic-fil-a & I think that I have been eating too much daily. I know that it takes 5-7days to get back on track after binge so here I go again. This is so hard, I need someone to help me stay focused so I can lose 50lbs and I want to do it fast. HELP PLEASE!!!!

Hi. I am not the best one for advice, I struggled until I decided on surgery - my girls here with me, they do the work daily, it's still very much a battle but you have to just get back on the wagon and try again. DONT let one slip up turn into another, and so on. back on it. YOU can do it!!!!!

Hi my girls! Wow has it been a busy weekend with it being Superbowl and all. Our big splurge was the baby back ribs that I made, but I made my own sauce with less sugar than most so it wasn't even too bad. Caro made a cheescake flan, it is so good, and not too much sugar either there. Last night we made it to the gym, I made it a whole hour in the Precor and then another 20 on the bike. Sweating big time Need to get this show back on the road now that Super is over.

Jina, so glad you are here, going well? Where's T? I hope you are okay girl!

Okay, back to cleaning off the desk.

Ash

bsknyn08, hi, I know how hard it is to keep it on the straight and narrow, right now us three have been in a holding pattern but I think we could all agree that we would like to get back to what ever it is that helps each one of us feel better about ourselves and our bodies.

If you allowed yourself a chicky yesterday, don't fret, 1 thing won't make you gain by leaps and bounds, remember, it wasn't one thing that made you the way you are right now, it was a lifetime/lifestyle of eating badly. Losing weight isn't really about a set in stone diet, it is about finding out what works for you and changing bad habits, and also about exercise. If it isn't worth fighting for, it isn't worth having. You MUST EXERCISE, if you don't you will gain it back and more, period. So enjoy an occasional treat, exercise more, eat heathy, and all will be good! Feel free to to ask anything else you would like, we want everyone to succeed!

T, did you see any doctors yet? Yeah, and how is grams doing?? Bummer the Giants won huh?

XOXO Ash

Oh you big texter, lol, the commercials were at least entertaining for non football folk don't ya think...I am not a big football person either, but I always have to have it on, for the spriit of it, and E and my dad are always into it. I think my fave was the big mouse beating up the guy with the bag of Doritos.

E bought 2 12 packs of beer, he and Caro drank almost all of them (that has been his one splurge thing in weeks) with a little help from my dad, YIIKES!! I only had one of the Miller Chills, but they are oh so good! Jina, I am so happy that that dress fits ike a glove, success, I can not even believe that it is only 2 weeks away...seems like forever it was a long way away.

WED

Hey girls...

Sorry I haven't been around. I certainly haven't been "dieting" and exercising like I should so I didn't want to come with nothing positive to say. I am in the early stages of looking for a dr but haven't seen one yet.

I was rooting for the Giants (I knew they might pull it off) so yeah for them! I actually liked the super bowl..it was a good game. I did put down 6 beers and some chips n dip so there were some super calories too.

My back is still kinda bothering me. It's probably just fed up with my weight. I'm at that "ok I can't take it anymore" weight. If I were just 20 lbs under my back wouldn't bother me.

Nice job on the workout Ash...you studette Love that green shirt G.

Have a good one and I'll talk to you soon.

T.

Afternoon

Hi girls! It's been a slow day here, making my pho broth, and cleaning, but not as much as I wanted to. I feel tired today, not sure why, I slept okay and all. I did an hour again at the gym, but on a different type of ellip, kind of a combo between that and a stairstepper...anyway, I was dripping with sweat.

I am glad to see you in here T, too bad your back is still sore, I agree though, it would probably help a lot to get just 20 more pounds down. That is good that you have started to look into Dr.s, if you do go through with that, I think you would be very happy.

Alrighty, back to cleaning, Ash

hi. Wow we got some snow for sure...I guess maybe 8 or so sticky inches and it didnt let up, I finally had a day off w/o stela to paint my trim in my room and paint the back wall the dark gooseberry, its the darkest merlot shade, almost brown, gorgeous. Need new bedding now, I am happy with the way it looks...now if stela will sleep in her own room, we'll be set. Aimee is moving home, did I tell you girls that? My sweet girl, well I will keep you posted on this.

As for eating so much pho, I love that Ash, we have a restaurant called pho 99. The noodle bowls with broth, veges and cilantro, lots of lime, beef thats lean and egg rolls cut up and soaked in fish sauce...delicious!!

The superbowl was a snooze to me, but I hate ball, I guess for people that like it that down to the wire second thing was good. Alicia Keyes and Tom Petty made it interesting for me. My new glasses are in, pick them up at lunch...so excited. They are Bebe, called Envy...gorgeous, a tri-color of black white and gray. I needed them bad...really excited for them.

still have a winter advisory, so over it.

Guess I will wrap this up. T, I dont need to tell you I am proud of your efforts and have zero doubt that you'll make the best educated decision.

hugs my loves.

Bsknyn,
wine has carbs, alcohol carbs that were sugar at one point to be exact, so I would stay away from too much of it, maybe one glass but work it into your carb/cal budget ahead of time, and then do an extra few minutes of exercise later. That should cover you Good luck!

Wow, Jin, that is a lot of snow quick! Those new glasses sound so nice, I need to get some new sunglasses, can't decide if I want trendy, or good ol' standbys?? LOL Post a pick with your glasses if you can.

How are you doing today T? Today is my long day, hate it, tomarrow again is Friday, yeah. Last night I did 30 mins cardio and then really worked the weights hard, I am sore today, but I can already see me working my way up in the weights! I am amazed at how fast it is going. I am already up to 160 crunches, I used to only be able to do 50.

Okay, I have been busy cleaning all afternoon and my new Rachel Ray mag just came to I am sitting on my butt and am going to read it. :P Laters, Ash

YAY, JINA, 177!!! YOU ROCK!!! You are going to pass me up soon I have been trying so hard to stay on track and have been doing really well at the gym but my weight isn't budging...I am starting to get frustrated...but I don't want to do that cause then I just let all things go and eat way off track. I have been craving salads and soda of all things lately, so today I am going to make up a bunch of grilled chicken breasts (yes, it is actually going to be nice enough to grill a little, spring is coming wahoo!!) and cut them all up for quick meals. Then with my new olla express (pressure cooker) I am going to try a to make a quick healthy soup for in between meal snacks.

The weekend was awesome here, just had a bunch of
