Just checking in before I go to the grocery store. I just whipped up a LC No-Bake Pumpkin cheesecake, I have to wait 4 hours to see how it sets and taste it, oh what torture. If it comes out good I'll write up the recipe and pass it along. When I have a great LC treat at home, I notice it is so much easier to pass up cheats when I am out and about, do you notice the same T? What about when you were LCing Jina?

Later, Ash

Oh, did you see the lady that got three years for stealing a roll of TP from the courthouse I think. I caught the tail end of the report on Al Rojo Vivo and I believe they said it was in Iowa, lol, what a dork!!

treats.

Its hard period. Sweets are a downfall, followed closely by a salty treat which is why I am the weight I am. Low carbing when I was really supressing my appetite by ketosis, I never wanted carbs. It was great, just hard to get there and sooo hard to stay there. Watching Dr. Oz yesterday and re-hearing that it takes the body several days to digest that (only after it sits and ROTS for that time.....) makes me not want to eat meat much. I feel like being nice to my colon....I can't imagine all that gook in there....I can't wait to eat salads and fruits and veges again....

Who am I? It's time, seriously. Enough already.
Let me know how your pumpkin cake goes....yummy. Good luck w/ party T.

peeking in real quick

I hear ya G..I always say to R that I'm going to become vegan when I'm older. The thought of meat (actually eating animals) has affected me in my old age..I just feel weird about it. I'm waaay too sensitive.

Thank God I'm not a sugar person even though when you see my eats today you'll think twice. It's so damn hot..like 98 right now. I heated the pool last night..it didn't even need it! Air conditioning is a wonderful thing.

Gotta run out once again but here is what I've had today including no exercise.

B - lowfat string cheese
L - vanilla cupcake w/sprinkles (on the run was starving and yes..I know)
D - probably chicken breast sandwich - kids are having pizza

I am ready for a change...

Love,
me

Okay, just so you girls know ahead of time, I just ran my spyscan cause IE kept coming back with "can not find page." I finally got here by some miracle but I don't know if when I leave I will be able to get back, no matter what page I go to I get the same cannot find page thing, so in case I go MIA, you know that my comp is f'ed.

Mmmm, the pumpkin cheesecake turned out very nice, not dense and heavy like regular cheesecakes and a nice light pumpkiny flavor. A few things that I want to work on, maybe incorporating Davinci SF syrup and cutting back on the Splenda, all in all, super yummy!

hey.

just home from game, getting ready for exercise....getting the pool going, it's going to be perfect for us. Cant wait. Us too T, heat wave big time....the humidity takes your breath away, I hate it.

Alright, off I go. Rebecca is meeting me tomorrow morning before work on the bike path. It has to be done and the mornings are better for me.

Glad the cake was great, I had a great recipe from weight watchers...very low points, not sugar. But pumpkiny and delicious.

I miss tuna fish. I am starving, I didn't eat much at all today. Off to try a smoothie, those strawberries are going to go bad. My berries outside are delic! Sweet little blackberries. Stela loves them too.

Love you girls.

Thursday

Long day here. Hot already. Didn't have a smoothie, cereal instead....should've had the smoothie, I was SO sick from that cereal....not trying that for a while. I laid down, didn't exercise.

This morning, I thought of calling off the exercise - I was so tired and just not interested....this little voice said, 'what would Ashley think?' so I got up and went. Our old route, it was already a very muggy 80+ degrees.....yuck. R brought her husband so I didn't feel so bad going ahead of her.....the route took 35 minutes, I could only jog about 8 solid minutes, in between songs...it was hard and it was depressing to me. So hard not to dwell on the fact I should be running marathon's by now.....but I can't do that to myself. It felt good. I have to exercise everyday the next 5 days to make goal of 5xwk....and that's ok.

As for now, my back is killing me, man I hate the start over part. This time is the last time...I can feel it.

Check ya later. Have a lovely day.
Glad the party was great T!! Glad your internet is working A.

Hey hey hey, it's runing J!! Who cares (except us) that you couldn't run as much as before, the point is that you got up and did it, I am so PROUD !!!! I am so happy that I can be the little "angel" (if you will) of reason on your shoulder, it make me feel all warm and fuzzy that I can motivate you so!! Keep it up!!

T, so the party was a hit, of course!! Teenage girls can be so flimsy these days, a product of our own media bombardment of super thin easy women, it scares me, as it does you both I am sure. I swear raising kids is like walking a mine field, walk by faith not by sight. Anyway, that's too heavy for this early in the day, what is your exercise today?

Me, I am off to curves, see ya in awhile, Ash

THURSday

Great words Ash..and I agree.

J I know the nagging feeling..glad you got moving. The cereal was probably just too much sugar for you...sorry bout that.

I am tired B and J had their last day of school today so we were up at 5:45..eek. I feel hungover and I didn't even have a drink..definately going to have to take a nap later to catch up.

I'll be doing the bike today bcuz it's gonna be another hot one.

see you girls in a while

after lunch

Hey girls.

Lunch is over, the day isn't - bummer...lotsa patient's left to come in today. I am not looking forward to the next 5 hrs....I guess we are taking all the kids to the mall to get pictures taken for Father's Day. I can get Stela's bday pic then too....need to get the cards ordered she will be 11 months this week. Wow.

Lunch was San Francisco Oven. A sandwich, pizza place. I ordered an 8" pizza, thin crust w/ white sauce and 4 cheeses plus artichokes (love em) and blk olives. I had one delicious bite. Then a cup of clam chowder, I had a good half of it....slowly. That was it today, other than water.

I am full. I don't think it's the sugar in the cereal T, I eat plenty more sugar than that w/o problems...I think it was just too much food at once. Besides, cereal is really filling-I knew better.
Alright, back to work.

Afternoon girls, I am just sitting down to a big salad with salmon and cukes, and a little tomato, oh and a little feta cheese, all topped with the new Paul Newmans light balsamic vin dressing, it is really good, if you haven't tried it do when you get the chance. Curves went well (is there ever a time it doesn't ;-P) and then as soon as I walked in the door I was yelling up the stairs to get dress cause we were going walking. E suggested walking the zoo, so we just got back from a 2 hour whirlwind tour of the zoo, I really need to get him motivated. I can see him slipping back into eat everything in sight and no exercise, yikers!

T, glad you are going to get to take a nap, it makes you feel so much better huh! Must be a fish day cause we all had some type of seafood for lunch, and it's not even Friday, go figure,lol.....guess we'll be rule breakers and eat meat tomarrow, haha, whoever follows those rules anyway??? :P

Jina, glad lunch went well, and the cereal thing, I bet your right, it is super filling and then it only expands more once down there.

OMG, so you both saw Big Med right, I am so amazed at how well the daughter looked after her plastic surgery, that is what I want!! But she was way down on the scale, I think after her surg she said she weighed 125, a number I know I will never reach, but maybe 135....who knows, I can't even begin to guess how much $$$$ that must of cost...???

Okay, I am almost done with my salad, bbl, A

Big Med

I missed it on Monday, cuz of the game and caught a rerun last night. I am all about Allen, I pray he does well, he's already 1/2 the man he used to be. That daughter did look great, like she hadn't had the surgery...her mom on the other hand, typical post gbypass surgery look....I know that is expensive, upwards $40,000 I think someone on TT said. Speaking of that there is a woman on there that was waiting in a surgery waiting room for her mom and a lady across from her smiled, they talked about the wait or whatever and then the older lady waiting said to the TT person, 'did you have gastric bypass?" and the TT lady said..."how did you know that, do I have a sign on my back?" and she said, "I could tell from your arms. I had it too" WHAT WHAT???????????????? I would DIE. How rude and embarrassing.

Anyway, I would never do plastic surgery, not a tummy thing like she had...a panni, no way-the nasty scar is like a ring around your whole body and the healing is so intense. When they pulled the drain from the girl...OMG, I was dying. That was the worst part.
E fell off the wagon huh? Old habits die hard...sucks. You'll wrangle him in Ash.

Lunch sounds great girls. YUM. I am hungry again. Off to protein shake land.

I know, Allen is amazing! To be a thousand pounds is out of this world, but that he is already almost half of that, and all the exercise his trainer has motivated him to do, W-O-W wow!!!!! I am cheering for him!!!

The arm thing, I so want to do my arms too, my mom says I don't need it, but I am so self-conscience about them, like dancing I mean, where I have to have them away from my body like in Salsa. I will have a tummy tuck for sure someday, but my boobs are in serious need of being reinflating, lol, if I only had all the money in the world Anyway, that was rude of that lady to comment on her arms. So how do Kate's arms look now, did she ever get strech marks on her arms? For that reason I know no matter how much weight I lose my arms will never look that good

Good luck in protein-shake-land! A

PS, that drain thing way grossed me out!! I about barffffffed!!!!!!! I know from m y mom telling me about her drains, that they don't normally just slide out with no pain like the mom's did.

I made green Pozole this afternoon for dinner, I am waiting for E to get home to have some, it tastes so good from my samples, but I know it is a bit carby, I am going to pick out most of the corn and have extra pork in mine. I went to the store to pick up the oregano and radishes to go with and when I walk in the house it smelled sooooo good. I just served up the kids and they ate it all, and usually they just pick at pozole when we go to parties, so this is a good sign

So exercise tomarrow, J, you doing your running route again? T bike? Did you get that walk in the park done? Me, I am hitting the gym again and then some more walking/run. Weighing tomarrow, I am so excited to see what ya got J! T, how you feeling? Me, I am guessing I am about the same, I am anxious though, worried that I won't have got down that spike from the pizza. I am super happy that maintaining has been as easy (knock on WOOD big time) as it has been. But I am ready to get down some more.

Love, Ash

Morning.

How are you girls? I am totally great. I am tired though. My body ached so bad I didn't want to exercise today but I did. Same route, 35 minutes and that was w/o jogging--I was hoofin it. My back and legs hurt too much to jog today. Hot Hot HOTTT today already. Without Fergie and The Frey I just couldn't get through it. Eminem's "lose yourself" always gets my blood pumping. What do you two listen to that really get's ya going?

The scale was kind, yet again.
242
can you believe it? I am happy. Things are good. Last night was spent at the mall, I didn't think a reservation for Pic People was needed since it was a Thurs but they were busy so our appt was at 8:10. We walked the mall so I got some extra cardio in, American Eagle had a great sale on panties, Kate got several pair, I am so not ready for cute undies again yet, but I love seeing her in them....and I love their jewelry. She is in to Express. Do you have one? It's pricy, comparable to A&F but more adult. T-shirts are $30+ but they are really cute....I cant wait to delve into the shopping zone again. Seriously.
Ash I dont think I have had what you made for dinner, is it like a menudo? I dont do that, but love the broth and dipping tort's into it...yummo. I am so glad you are maintaining so well. Really getting a good slice of life with real food and fun...just the way it should be. Staying diligent, you really mastered that. KUDOS!
T, where you at? Hows the walk in the park? Mill? Life?!
Alright ladies. Off to do more work.

ps

How could I not touch on the arms thing.

How many times have I told you both I just hate my arms. When I was younger then were nice, really nice. Sleeveless - not a problem...tan, long, no flapping. NOW with weight gain I totally have the stretch mark thing under and even on the inside coming out. I hate them. I dont think I will ever love my arms, or even like them. That flap crap is gross. I really want them good again or at least come to a place where they are a non-issue, keeping fingers crossed for that.

Kate had nice arms, she never had that many stretch marks but what she does have is not visable. Her arms are so freakin skinny. She still has the flap thing, who doesn't -especially after WLS...but I'd take em anyday. I actually think she should put on 20 or so pounds. TOO small.
Hearing that, wow...that would be awesome.

FRIday

I just woke up and I finally feel like I got some rest. Sorry I didn't peek in yesterday but I crashed out way early. I didn't even realize it was Friday (days are messed up) and I had to go weigh myself. Down one pound but I'll definately take it. I drank way too many diet sodas this week..I just don't drink diet soda so it does affect me when I do.

I didn't get the walk in..it was too hot yesterday and but I'm off this morning to do 2 miles. I missed big med..forgot. I've had a ton of stuff on my mind lately guys..stress..M's wedding, R's job, T so finally things are easing up on me. Did I tell you my husband is finally employed? He starts Mon. He will be making more than his last job so I'm happy bout that. The private school bills kill. He is also working on his own company on the side so we should see benefits of that too.

I have been struggling with negative thoughts and feeling like giving up. I don't want any sympathy or encouragement. I just want to get it together.

Ok well I hope you girls have a good morning. I'm going to have my oolong tea and get out before it starts warming up.

T.

ps..If I had to change one thing - the arms - hate is a nice word
