Hey
Holy crap!!! You are so in the skinny girl category now Ash. KUDO'S on the inches lost!! That movie looked bad, I HATE movies like that. I am excited for you for your trip! YAY! I am also pissed, I was just typing a marathon email and it shut off and I lost it ALLLLL! UGH!
SO, cardio done, 50 minutes, felt good about that. Its 60+ today, perfect weather for the parade we DIDN'T go to. Stela got her shots at my office yesterday, was spitty last night, like she had a sour belly. At 1am she was burning up 103.4 temp, and vomitting. Poor baby girl, she just laid there...pitiful. SO, Kate and I didn't get much sleep. She is in good spirits but still 101 temp this a.m. so Bre took M&M to the parade by herself. Bummer. Don't think we'll be out tonight, shucks. SOOO looking forward to a night OUT but that's ok....our lady is our priority. Ash, so excited to see your tattoo. I need to measure too, I bet I have lost some, my hips seem smaller in jeans, they sag...I know something is happening. SO, I just finished cleaning out cabinets and organizing the basement laundry room/storage room...pissed at how much work it is, but it's good exercise, except for the dust that is kicking my allergies into high gear. Kate is in a "should I leave or help you" kinda mind right now, I am being a freak about the cleaning...its just we have so much to do before that shower, and after vacation, and the garage sale, but it all needs cleaned out first, and it's A LOT to do...then Stela has her 1st bday party in July.... We laid in bed this morning w/ coffee, making a bday party list...we have, get this, 90 PEOPLE on the list, and that is surely me forgetting several. We are renting a jump-o-room and a clown....making homemade ice cream for a sundae bar, we have been buying stuff here and there so it wont seem so much come July...when we have like, 50 other bdays...including Madi's that is the same day as Stela's. We got the cutest pinata that is a fish, pink/yellow/green and some adorable candy pink metal tubs for drinks/etc....yah, I am a crazy-party-plannin-mo-fo...from way back. SIGH. I love it. SO, off to look at yard furniture once Stel is feeling up to it....so many things to do this spring/summer...this damn yard needs tackled still...OMG, my ass has gotta get back to work. No breakfast, just a subway 6' wheat/ no cheese/no mayo and sun chips. I love it. ![]()

To Party or not to Party
Okay, this is the third time I have typed this, the dumb thing keeps logging me in and erase what I have typed!!
So last night looks like it was a bust all the way around. Jina I am so sorry about little Stela, I hate it when they vomit when they are so little, makes me so sad cause they look at you and in their eyes you can just see their pleads to make it stop. So us boneheads, we got all dressed up (a 2 hour affair) and drove out to the party (half hour drive) to find no one there. We looked at the invite again, right, we looked at the passes for the reception, OMG, not till March 24th!!! How dumb is that, I read the invite and never thought twice to look at the passes. Why would you have half a party on one day and then the other half a week later. Oh well, we were all dressed with no place to go, so we went home and watched movies. It was kind of nice cause E never has Sat nights off, so we went and got a pizza (I know, but I only had 1 slice, and it was just cheese, no end crust,) made a big shrimp salad, and had bites of ice cream. So much fun!So I took picks of me all dressed up since we probably won't do it again, cause E won't be able to take another weekend night off, and I won't go to the party by myself, how boring, with all my crazy off the wall kids. T, that is so great that you are down 2 pounds!! On top of your 2% down this week, you are high on the hog!! Good job! Just a few more to go for that party in LV. So yesterday I got a 20 minute power walk in addition to Curves. Didn't do any cardio at night and was feeling really guilty about it and the slice of pizza, couldn't sleep past 7. So I got up and grabbed E's mp3 and went out for a run. I ran outside for 29 minutes and continued power walking for a total of 42 minutes cardio this morning. It is so much more fun and feels easy when you run with music. Normally I just walk the same route, and this time to keep it interesting and make me go furthur I ran far away so I would have to run back, I made a huge loop. I am going to drive it today to see how far it was, I am guessing about 2 miles. So I am starting to believe the carb up for sports thing that athletes always talk about. They really do give you lots of fast energy, when ever I am really LC I feel the fatigue fast, this morning none, I could have kept going, except ny knees and hips were beggin to stop. This morning breakfast is going to be corned beef hash minus the potatoes, lots of cabbage, and peppers. Eggs on top. Those pics are so cute Jina, you are surrounded by beautiful people! Here are my new pics. Me before getting dressed, my St. Patty's 3 amigos, and me dressed for the party, ah arm flab showing, lol. So Jina, can you run through the tanning process for me? I have never done it, a bit intimidated by it, and unsure. I am tired of looking pasty white, I don't want to go to Mexico like this. I don't readily tan in the sun, I usually turn pink first and then it turns to tan. Is tanning different than just sitting in the sun? Do you tan more easy in a tanning bed? Tattoo, I have all my reference material ready for my consultation(flowers), and layout, and possible placement, but I really want her to use her artistic creativity to make it very feminine. I am so excited to do it. TTFN, Ash

Sunday
Hi Ladies. It is a SUNday and I am glad for that. Started ripping out bushes and other nasty yard things yesterday and plan to finish this one bed by the house today. I love taking out agressions on things like that.
How was the party Ash? T, how was the irish bar? I am so glad I didn't drink last night. Got so much done this morning already. Mom and Dad stopped over for a visit, I got all the winter clothes switched out and thinned out for the garage sale and the spring/summer stuff put into the newly organized closet....getting rid of a lot of stuff. I have probably, 70 pair of shoes that I still would wear. No joke. I am getting rid of most, I mean will I ever really wear 30 different sandals? Besides, my foot changed once having Stela and lots of my fave's no longer fit. Speaking of that, found a tote of capri's. SO, last spring I was prego and nothing fit my extra large ass so I hadn't worn them since the summer before my pregnancy, which was my wedding year..2005. To my surprise, they ALL fit. Yes, I do have a muffin top in more than I used to, but that's from Stela---my body is just different at the same weight I was before having her. SO, I can just focus on getting those pants looking better. Dinner was brats on the grill, crab salad, grilled potato and onion packs on the grill and watergate salad. I had some of all and didn't feel too bad about it. Today it's egg beaters, water and I am going to make some tuna fish now. We'll see how things go this way for a bit. I sure would like to be more down by NC, but I can't keep putting that pressure on myself. The impt things are that I am still here, still trying to behave and still exercising everyday...which i have yet to do. I will. If I find the time. Weekends are my free time and I made up for Friday yesterday...so it might just be the yard work and other house crap. Have to grocery shop. I hate that. Maybe Kate will go instead. Tomorrow starts my new schedule of no lunch break....working til 3. We are jogging in the a.m. and I can get another one in the evening w/ Stela. Off to sort garage sale stuff. Good day girls. |

Hey
we must of typed at the same time Ash. Hate when it deletes itself. UGH!
SO, you look great. Those jeans, and that belt...nice! That dress and your THIN face. Amazing transformation. Awesome!! SUCKS you didn't get to party, I have made similar mistakes once all done up and I get so pissed, because I don't get 'DONE' up very often. SO, tanning. I would start in a 20 minute bed (I do 10 min beds which gives you 20 min. tanning results-stronger bulbs.) for about 8 minutes. You'll get pink. Wear underwear and bra. Then after a few times of the 8 min, go 12 for a few then 15 then 18 then 20. In one month you'll have built a strong base that lasts. The real sun is so much more drastic, since you are usually out in it way longer...I never burn in a bed, but can get 3rd degree (and have!) outside. Once you have a strong base you'll be better able to handle the real sun. I use sunblock on my face. I don't use the lotions or creams....and I use a vitamin a lotion all over after tanning. People have their opinions, think T was leading to that when I mentioned it, but ya know what? It doesn't have all the harmful rays that the real sun does, and we are all admittingly out in them ALL summer. In fact, my Dr. I work for suggests to patients to tan before sunny vacations so they don't burn from the real sun. BONUS-getting all the areas dark. I hate tanning lines. Especially under the arms and having white boobs. yuck. SO, that is that. I have been tanning for years and I wont ever stop. I will end up looking older than I am, but it would have happened anyway. The family genes arent in my favor for aging gracefully. Who cares. ![]() |

SUNday
Morning girls...let me first say, thanks Ash and your pics are great. Doesn't it feel good to see yourself with a slim waistline in your dress..and look at that belt..no belly there! I hope to one day get to that 160 number. I hope to follow in your successful footsteps!
Yeah..T doesn't like the tanning bed stuff but hey J..you look great and feel great and that is all that matters right? I'm pale white so you'll need a pair of sunglasses to see me in a bra and panties Sorry I didn't post last night..I checked in and saw that you guys weren't around so I just thought i'd save space I didn't end up drinking much..was scared to go to the pub..knew I'd drink too much beer so opted for 2 glasses of wine at home instead. We ended up taking Taylor to the beach and walked on the sand..it was nice. We came home and grilled steak and played a board game with the kids. Jina..you're like me..when I get in the cleaning mode..watch out B - 2 eggwhite omelette 1 cup coffee w/cream L - out with a friend - by the beach..it will be nice and I will be good! Sorry for the long winded post this moring
I just looked to see that my post takes up an entire screen worth! Yikes, I'll try to keep it shorter from now on.....It's just I love ya girls so much, I want to tell ya everthing!
Thanx J and T for the comps! It was fun to see I can FEEL good now when I get dressed up, I used to always feel awkward. Jina, thanx for the info on tanning, now I just need to scope out a place close to curves cause that would be the ideal time for going since I'm already out without the kids. I saw a new Dove product that looks like it gives a glow, I am going to check it out too. T good job at just having wine at the house, the pub atmosphere certainly eggs me on when I am in the mood, so good choice! Jina it sounds like you are cleaning up a storm, I need to get out in the yard too, I didn't do it last week like I promised myself. And hey, that is great that you found a bunch of pants that fit now, it is such a boost when something like that happens! And yes, the body changes of pregnancy really do bite! The strech marks on my stomach or my worst enemy, lol. Okay, time to start thinking about feeding the peanut gallery, talk to ya girls soon. Ash PS. I drove my jogging route, 2 miles exactly!! I can't believe it, my first goal was just to be able to run a mile. My knees are sore though |

evening
Hi! Well it's my most unfavorite evening of the week cuz I have so many work days ahead, but a new schedule and out by 3 m-w will revamp the Monday blues. Tomorrow is gonna suck cuz I didn't jog today. Ashley, 2 miles. Amazing. I know just how you feel, I felt the same and that first time I jogged a mile I was like, WOW, I CAN do this! So, congrats. KUTGW! Looking forward to that 5K April 1st. SO, We have played sequence for hours the last 3 days w/ Bre and Pete, we are just obsessed with it- so fun!!! I can't do that much more though, all I want to do is snack while we play.
Tonight I had chicken and soup at a semi-homecookin restaurant. It was good...not good for me. Here I go, I start feeling fat and gross when I eat carbs....I just hate feeling like I LIVE on a diet. SO OVER IT! Looking at more patio furniture today. Can't find anything I like, except for that one set at Target. We'll just get that one. Then at Kmart (hate that store!) they have these big round plastic tables, very thick...Martha Stewart Everyday I might get for the screen porch and use the other set w/ umbrella for the patio. We have a fire bowl out there and it's nice on cozy evenings..when it's not too cold. Feel great about getting stuff done here today. My closet is looking TOPS for sure! By the time we leave I should have that damn garage and storage area cleaned and ready for g sale when we get back. SO, T, Love the pic. of Taylor. You take good pictures! Wish you'd figure them out on this format, I like to click and enlarge them. I sent for a new magazine today, Blueprint. have you seen it? House idea stuff...just love it. Can't wait to start on this computer room. Looks like it will be a while. Alright, I am just rambling, cuz like you Ash, I love to tell ya girls everything. Hope I don't ever bore ya w/ the mundane day to day. Last time I checked we had something like 11+thou views. LOVE IT! Time to think of moving once April comes. That was the "original goal" post, and we've outgrown it..or that was the wrong phrasing....we just need to find a new fabulous spot.Love you girls. Night. It's L Word. So, I will get some cardio in after all. LOLOLOLOLLLL! ![]() |

Monday
Hi. T, that was a long post for you. Is your table BLACK? I bet not. Too drastic for you, huh? Don't have those stores, but do have Pier One, it's a few blocks from my house-which is dangerous. I like their candles and dishware, and pillows, and rugs and frames...and...and...OK EVERYTHING!
So that's exciting to see-will be looking for the pic. Well, Day 1 of our new hrs is going...slow. We took down all the St. pat's stuff and did Easter....and everything we needed to get done, is done. For a Monday it's very quiet. BAD storms last night, thunder woke me up, didn't get my cardio in early cuz of the rain. Feeling losery already. W/ no lunch break I will be forced to do it outside. GRRRR. Like to get it out of the way.Grilling again at Bre Pete's. Weather is supposed to get to 60. Curiosity killed the cat. The scale read: 241 this morning. W/ carbs and no cardio yesterday. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT??????????????????????????????????? Wont be weighing this Friday...but it was good to know. I just HAD to know what was up....that damn pizza did me in. SO glad I didn't do alcohol this weekend! Have a happy Monday girls. T- hope your back gets better. ![]() |

hey
meant to tell ya Ash, this little drug rep girl that comes in here, she is sweet-weighs about 110 and is about 5'7" told me what a hard time she is having jogging outside. Said, her treadmill was much easier, but outside it's super hard!! I was SO happy to hear that, and told her I just thought it was my fat ass that made it so difficult.
Guess even idiot-stick-figures-with-no-souls (a line from Sex and the City) have trouble working it. There is a God. Lunch was ok. Ate badly for lunch. Feel sick. Why do I do that after seeing such a good # on the scale? Oh, we decided to take a 1/2 hr lunch on these shorter days. We have to if we work more than 6 hrs in a shift. We were happy now just 2 hrs left of the day. Horray! |

Late check in
Hey girls, sorry for such a late check in, but it looks like it is quiet around here. Another busy day doing remodel stuff, can't wait to get done with it, really seems like it is cutting into E and me time.
T, so glad you found your table, I just love Cost Plus! So much great stuff, I just bought my curtains there, less than a mile from my house. Jina, that is great to know that even for a skinny girl that running outside is more difficult. My knees are still sore, I opted out of cardio after 5 minutes last night cause they were buggin' me. T I hope your back gets better real soon, walking sounds like a good plan. Breakfast: scrambled eggs, turkey breakfast sausage, tea Lunch: Beef broth soup with veggies, tea Dinner: Lasagna with zucchini noodles, and turkey italian sausage, tea...again Rainy today, total bummer, really wanted to get out for a long walk. Okay girls, probably I won't get a break again until late night, so I'll see ya tomarrow, Love Ash |

TUESday
Sorry I didn't post last night..crashed out on the couch at 7:30..huh? I woke up this morning to find my back hurts even more. I'm really upset because I wanted to really continue my 1 hr workouts. I will try to walk on the treadmill and see how that goes. Yesterday I ate well except had 2 cheese slices I shouldn't have had..otherwise it was a good day but no real exercise.
I tried to post the table pic..wanted it to resize. I don't get it..sometimes it goes through..then often times not..whatever..this site needs serious updating anyway. (yeah J it's black) R gonna stay home with me today..gonna do our taxes..finally. I'll peek in later to see how you girls are doing. T. Last edited by carbjunkie : 03-20-2007 at 07:09 AM. |

Hey
The scale said 6.5 pounds down yesterday, you both did see that, right?
Looks like everyone has a lot going on. Busy here at work. Eating/exercise is good. T-sorry your back hurts. Sucks you can't resize the pictures. Ashley, you'll be done helping your buddy soon. As for me, I am off to eat cornbeef and cabbage. Have a good day. |

Hey, I just had corned beef and cabbage too!! Jina, I did see that you weighed in at 241, I was out of it yesterday, in a funk I just couldn't shake so I am SO SORRY I forgot to say congrats!! I am so happy!!! That means you'll be squarely in the 30's by this Friday!!! YAHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How many days till NC? You are going to knock 'em dead!
I gotta look back at last month and see when TOM arrived, used to always around the 1st but it has been outta whack for awhile now and I can't remember. I am hoping that TOM is on the horizon cause I weighed today out of curiosity and I weighed 173!! That was after I drank a bunch of water, but still. I don't get it, I have been quite good and trying to reintroduce better for you carbs in small amounts, so I can transition into maintenance, but I don't know. This was my worst fear that I would come so far and then not know how to maintain, maybe I should consult a diatician, but still it would have to be an ongoing meet up so they could understand my body, and I don't have that kind of money. I am confused and puzzled. Well today I already got Curves out of the way, and I am going to do a jog later, I don't care how much my knees hurt, I obviously need to step up the exercise. Breakfast: Corned Beef and Cabbage hash Lunch: Salad from La Provence with chicken Dinner: ?? OMG, yesterday I saw the coolest off diet recipe in the world. I am making for my birthday.....all the way in June, lol. This lady had large strawberries that she cut a wedge out of the bottom. She baked up a basic cheesecake recipe in an 8x8 pan. When it was baked and cooled, she just used her hands and mixed the cheesecake and crust into a big messy almost paste, then took a huge handful (the amount of a small slice) and "stuffed" it into the strawberry. Well, the cheesecake hangs all out of the strawberry and looks kind of messy, so then you dip with melted chocolate up past the cheesecake, so you just see the strawberry, and it looks like a GIANT strawberry. Then dusts the chocolate with grahm cracker crumbs, and white chocolate drizzle. They looked so beautiful and YUMMY, we were all salivating just watching it. :-) Ash ;-D Last edited by cardenas5usa : 03-20-2007 at 10:58 AM. |
