Late night

Well today flew by with all the stuff we had to get done. Didn't think too much about food but ate plenty of it. i had a big caesar with chicken for lunch, and then went shopping with my friend that is moving to LV next week. She wanted to go to Zao noodle bar, so I ordered the chicken coconut soup and picked out most of the noodles. Was yummy! Off to bed, see ya tomarrow, Ash

morning

Hi girls. Another great weather day here...another great cardio start...shaved even more minutes off my route, and jogged the route back making my feet come off the ground even more, I was a sweat hog and that was just in a t-shirt....well and pants, !!

SO, I am tired today and was hungry early so ate chicken for breakfast and a coffee.....I am getting hungrier but thats probably because I am burning so early?
Ash-do you feel hungrier? Anyway, glad to get the metabolism jump started early w/ food....

Have a good day ladies. Ash, when is your friend leaving?

Morning

Hey girls, I am pooped! Just got back from a major Curves burn! So glad you girls got big burns in this morning too!! Going to be a great Friday!

I do notice I am more hungry when I get to Curves early and really push it, but I am sure you are right on with the fact that you are up and burning cals early, and just a lot more in a day. Just think for all those extra hours you are up early, your body needs more energy to keep ya going! Last night even though I didn't want to exercise, I did Slim, not whole heartedly, but I got through it.

T 85 sounds about perfect, I love the mid 80's, mid 90's gets a bit hot for me when it's days in a row. Enjoy vegin' in the sun!

So far today, I had and egg, and a quarter of a chicken sausage, the big kind. Tea too.

Today I am going to walk to library once I find one of my overdue items, that ought to be fun, NOT. I haven't seen the item in like 3 weeks and have no idea where to even look. Just bought our tickets to Mex, April 29-May 17. At the last minute I found a really great priced flight that was exactly what we wanted and never thought we would get, so I am a happy camper!

Have fun today girls, see ya a little later, Ash

lunch time

Hi girls..what's on the lunch menu..I just finished..I was really hungry again. I had the same thing as yesterday a large mesclun salad w/avocado, turkey, lowfat cheese, veggies n drizzle olive oil n balsamic..oh and a sip of diet root beer. I bought my first diet soda pack..I figured everyone else drinks them..I only drink water and it doesn't do any significant thing for me obviously so I will treat myself to a diet drink a couple times a week.

I am going to get on the treadmill for another 15mins and do arms around 2pm.

Good workout Ash!..nothing but the best from you always. Jina..how are you?

Very nice looking guy! He has a beautiful smile! I like guys with great smiles, but then again, who doesn't!

lunch was a small bowl of left over hot n sour soup, and coffee. Got a new kind of coffee that is to die for, it's called cookiedoodle, it smells a lot like snickerdoodles! just before lunch we got back from the library, 20 minute power walk each way pushing the stroller! Oh yeah! I found a new twist on water, MetroMint, mint infused water, not sweetened, just very refreshing, and it comes in a really cool skinny bottle, if ya like mint, be on the look out.

T your lunch sounds delish, I was thinking salad, but then remembered that my romaine that I have is really bitter, I can only tolerate it by the leaf in my roll ups. Are avocados spendy now? Probably not for you, I haven't grocery shopped in over a week and an avocado is sounding good right about now. You know what is so funny, I used to hate avocados, but when I was preggers with Maya, I would crave them and sometimes eat 3 a day, and ever since then I have really liked them. What about you girls, did you ever crave something strange when you were preggers? Also with Maya I craved fish, but mostly fish sticks, lol. With Luke and Lex I just ate a lot of ice cream, I had to to be able to get enough cals in that the doctor wanted me too. What a sad thing, when you don't feel like eating, whether from morning sickness of lack of space due to a huge baby taking it all, is when you are supposed to and can just chow down, but now when we want to eat, we shouldn't, what a bummer! Anyway, with Luke and Lex, I was supposed to eat 4000+ calories a day!

Alright, Maya has a friend over and everyone is out of my hair for awhile, I have The Holiday to watch, yipee, me time, I'll let ya know if it's good. Ash

hey Ash..

I LOVE avocados..sooo good for your skin too. 4000 cals? man..in our dreams huh? I know..they usually ask a mom of twins to gain around 100 lbs..jeesh! I was sick as a dog with my first Ryan..couldn't eat anything until 4 mos..the weirdest craving I had was with my last..Brandon What was funny is I always like my steak well done..but when I got pg with him I wanted rare steak..how funny is that? Was I iron deficient or what?

I want to see The Holiday..can't wait to hear how it is. I love Kate Winslet.

That coffee sounds yummy..you haven't eaten much today have you Ash?

I'll peek in one last time after dinner..protein n veggies it is.

Not too hungry today

Yeah, I just noticed that I haven't eaten much. I am going to have a string cheese now and some chicharrones, micro kind.

That is funny about the rare meat thing, I was the same way, I didn't start liking my meat medium till I was pregnant, now well is way too done for me.

Hey good news, after much research, I have finally found the person I want to get tattooed by. I figured if I am only doing one, probably not, but just in case, I want it to be a great one! This lady, Alice Kendall, does amazing work and shading. I want flowers, but I don't want them to look like typical tattoo lined flowers, more like they are painted on. Take a look if you want to. Her portfolio: http://www.infinitytattoo.com/index....ist&artistID=3 now I just have to make an appt. Yikes!

Okay, now I am going to watch the movie. Check ya later, Ash

Thursday

Hey girls.
Lunch was tuna + mayo, dinner was steak/mushrooms/onions on the grill. Chicken leg for snack about 3pm.
Exercise was put off this morning, til lunch-we had some freezing rain - but looking ok now.

Sore from yesterday, cleaning out the garage and organizing that, all that heavy stuff---it was a sweaty workout for me. Bottoms of my feet hurt too, from jogging...that will improve w/ time, I have the most expensive running shoes, and I rotate them out every other day, and stretch a lot. Just not used to this much cardio - I hate cardio. It's getting better, I dont hate it as much....actually missed not jogging this morning.

Will post after lunch jog. Not hungry today.

THURSday

Morning girls..last night I was bad..had some ice cream w/banana n choc syrup..yep..don't know why I thought I was entitled but I'm confessing. I wanna be honest.

This morning I did 30mins bike 20mins mill. It was hard but it felt good. I just finished my bfast of 2 hb eggs 1 wheat cracker n tomato slices.

I can't wait to see your numbers tomorrow. You both have had a very lite menu week. I'm curious how my alcohol weekend will effect me. I am willing to work hard so I know I'll be ok.

I wish you girls a great Thursday.

Hiya gurls!

T, no sweat. Think back on all the 'coulda had's' and a small treat doesn't seem so bad, besides, we are pretty boring foodies these days....and being food luva's.....I am almost happy to see you two still indulge sometimes...what fun is it if we dont ever stray?
SO, pregnancy and cravings??? I was sick everyday for over 5 months. That meant through my favorite cookie making time of year, we baked and decorated over 200 sugar cookies and between 5 or six of us we all made 2 things to share, so I think 12 dozen each a person of what we made....I was sicker than a d-o-double g!!
To think of xmas cookies now, still makes me go Dont get me wrong, I still love a cookie, but it was the smell of the time, ya know? Kinda like when a perfume or something takes you back? A song, etc....weird, right? Like you are RIGHT THERE in that moment again.
Pregnancy was a big....'not so much fun' for me. Speaking of that Miss Stela Kate is turning 8 months tomorrow. How excited/sad/bewildered am I?????????
WOW time flies, just look at us, page 30??? TOWN TALKERS!
I am excited about the scale tomorrow. Today at lunch (me w/ no sweatshirt in 40 degree temps=idiot!) we walked very fast to HyV for the salad bar (thats a grocery store by the way) a mile there then a mile back. We tried to take a short cut and it ended in a dead end, so all in all it was about 2.4 miles. Very good. Slim in 6 tonight...gotta step it up for my new best friend, the scale. RIGHT!
Funny tid-bit about the dead end...we came into a circle of houses that shared a middle yard w/ a big fence that led to the fair grounds....we didn't see the first fence, initially....so Rebecca was like, let's just hop the fence!!! I WAS LIKE, HUH??????? Aint no way! I actually debated it, when's the last time you 'hopped' a fence? Like, I was maybe 10 at the most.
I might have tried it (cuz I am a rebel like that) but it had a barb wire and I was wearing clothes I liked too much to ruin. Anyway-it was funny!
Note to self: try to climb a fence again someday...just for kicks.
Enjoy the rest of the day.
Ash, your vacation sounds great! Excited?? How will we talk? I think you said they have internet...not like it's a freakin third world country, it's just Mexico.
Tood-a-loo love's.

funny stuff

Thanks J..I thought I was gonna get reemed ok..so on to the next thing. You know speaking of that "smell"..oh man do I know what you mean! It's awful..do you know I couldn't smell toilet paper? Everytime I went to the bathroom I had to hold my nose..I threw up every time LOL

Not hungry today...go figure I have been starving the last two days..maybe the exercise has helped me out today. My mom and my sister joined weight watchers..they have both lost 4 lbs already. We can't go fat to margie's wedding ya know? I've been bugging them for a while now.

Anyway, I made me and mom a turkey patty for lunch with some tomato n mustard and some grapes...I said..this is all we get she laughed..it was more like a light lunch..we'll have a big snack right now. I just got back from Costco..funny..I saw some really cute baby clothes and little sun dresses and I thought of you and Ashley..I love little clothes!

XOXO
T.

Quiet day

My darn internet connection was fouled up, so finally I fixed, so here I am. I am glad I didn't miss too much.

Got to Curves this morning and then it was just go go go, Maya's school conference, she is doing well in school and has improved a ton, yeah! Then on to buy an in car DVD system, they were on sale at Best Buy, I just couldn't pass it up at 150 bucks, it will keep the ankle bitters at bay when we drive around. Didn't eat before that so had to stop by McD's for breakfast, I had a sausage mcmuffin w/egg minus the muffin, darn I love those things when they are so soft and fluffy, but that's okay, someday soon. Now we are off to Target to return some stuff, and look at a DS, Maya has been buggin for one and now that we have our tickets to mexico out of the way and she did so well in school, it is time to have a be good treat that I can hold over her.

I am so excited to go to Mexico now, I had really been draggin' my feet about getting the tickets. But since I found good ones that didn't cost too much, and we now have a date to mark on the calendar, I am so stoked! Crunch time!

I weighed myself today, since it is 3/15, my goal that I set in Fitday to be 160, too bad that today I weighed 167!! 2 pounds up from last Friday and 7 pounds off my mark. I did get my shirt for Curves, but was disappointed about the gain, normally cheats don't hang around that long any more, but I guess those donuts threw me for a loop! Also, my hot n sour soup, too much sodium, I gotta watch that. So who knows what the scale holds for me tomarrow, but I am still looking forward to it! Can't wait to see your girls numbers!

T, a little thing like ice cream won't hurt in the long run, too bad so close to weigh day, cause I know you get the carb jump, but no big! You got in some good cardio already to make up.

Last night we did 30 minutes cardio, then 20 minutes pilates. That means yesterday I did 120 minutes of exercise. Haven't done that much in awhile, felt good!

Alright then, I am feeling hungry now, got to make some late lunch. Ash

Hey Ash..sorry you are up 2 lbs but hey..that could be muscle..you have exercised your booty off ya know? Don't trust the scale when it comes to 2lbs it does tricks on you!

I'm excited for you about your trip..I'm sure you guys will have a great time. Don't worry about the number..look how great you look? You used to be unfit but you aren't anymore

I just got on the bike and burned 100 cals so I can have a snack..I only had half a turkey patty..shoulda had more lunch but not that hungry today..weird. I'm usually starving by 3-4.

I'm not a DS fan..I like the PSP but for little girls the DS is better so no wonder Maya wants one

Ok..off to think about what is for dinner...I'm so nervous about weigh in tomorrow...jeesh!

T-doggy dogg

Thanks T! I hope the scale at least says 165 tomarrow, but if it doesn't I am not too worried, I am just happy to be in the 160's, I never thought I would ever REALLY get here.

Jina, they used to have internet, and I think they still do cause they sent us the birthday invites by email, but they may have gone down to the ecafe, not sure. At any rate, when I do get there, I will try my hardest to post often, pics too! If not, Maya has to journal for her writing assignment everyday, so I will take that time to sit with her and write, that way I can tell you girls all about it. I have decided when I get to Mexico, I will totally off of diet, that is what I did last time, ironically, when we went 2 years ago, I had just lost a chunk of weight. Anyway, I ate whatever I wanted last time and didn't gain any weight. That was 3 weeks of pure bliss! We went and ate huaraches almost everyother day, and I always got longaniza, better than chorizo. 12 pesos bought us huaraches that were like 14 inches long and flopped off the plate in both directions. So good. And the pasteleria is just a few blocks from E's house, and they make the best Tres Leches cakes! We walked so much and were on the move constantly so I think that kept the pounds at bay. Plus E's mom makes 5 meals a day, so whenever there is food on the table, you are never very hungry. I can't wait!!

On to boring stuff, lunch was Tilapia with a bit of butter and capers, broc on the side. Dinner, is looking really boring since nothing sounds good, or rather the things that sound good, aren't good for me,lol. But I plan on keeping it clean and maybe going out for a walk once Lex wakes up.

TTFN, Ash :-)

Hola Chica's

Well well, seems I have missed some stuff. SO T, Costco sounds like Sam's Club, no? A big members only warehouse that offers discounts for big bulk items? I know what Costco is, we lived out west, just wondered if you two knew what Sam's was.

SO, tonight Kate and I went to Wise Guys Pizza. I had 3 slices like a fat hog. Yep. No qualms. See, this it the thing. I am starting to not care about the food because I am doing so great exercising and I think I deserve (ok, after like one workout week-yah I am a loser!) to treat myself. It was good, I could have had more, I didn't....life goes on. Went to Old Navy, lookin for capri's. I am not spending $30 on a pair of capri's right now, that is insane, I have too many pairs in 16-20 sizes, so I must deal for a bit. Besides, nothing too cute so far this spring.

THEN off to Target....sigh....I love Target. I was JONE'SN, for some freakin candy. I picked out some stuff for the kids easter baskets, we go all out for the kids and started buying things weeks ago, so every trip we pick stuff up. I saw the most tempting thing EVER EVER---REESES makes a freakin pb bunny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am a LOVER of Reese's pb cups...that and oatmeal cream pies, yum...so I was jocking them puppies all through the store..literally like, walking around w/ them, getting all prepared to say VUCK IT (right, T?) and cheat all night!
By the end of our trip-it was an hour in there, I decided to get the sugar free 2 carb (after sugar alcohol subtracted) mini reeses cups. SURE DID!
I ate 4 of them just now, 2 per serving, I think....or 3 maybe...and they are about 80% as good as the real ones, and only double the price
Anyway, I went through the "steps" over and over, they weren't working, heck-i'd already had pizza for cryin out loud!!! BUT, I just kept thinkin, girl....tomorrow you are joggin in the cold (30 degrees) and it's gonna suck and all you'll be thinking about is that I am not even beginning to equal out my calories in for the day. That did it.
It also did something else. I dont think I can weigh tomorrow. Ash, I am sorry to hear your 2 lb gain, it's still unbelievable that you haven't gained up til this point...and you are fabulously in the 160's lady, which ROCKS MY SOCKS, so no worries...but I bet you weren't feeling 2 lb heavier til you saw that. See, if I weigh tomorrow and these damn devil slices of pizza heaven make that scale read some unfair #....I can promise you both I am totally off plan ALL WEEKEND!
Ya see, even w/ cheat today I am feeling like a super model. The exercise and tan are making me feel really great. I am getting more compliments than ever and Kate is really diggin it---in everyway SOOOOOOOOOOO, I might just not weigh for a while. Why let that damn thing dictate me...I'd rather be one that when asked what I weigh I go, "um...ya know, I have no freakin idea!" CUZ I DONT CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have known my weight down to the damn ounces for like, my entire LIFE AND IT HANGS ON ME LIKE A VUCKING NAME TAG, "Hi, my name is 250..." or whatever.
That is that. We'll see. You both know I am totally off/on never a plan sticker, so it could totally change by the morning, just out of curiousity.
T, awesome job your Mom and Sis have done thus far. When did they join? I heart weight watchers!!!! Saw some candy there tonight, looked great. 1 point, so totally worth it!
Ash, I hear ya on throwing the "diet" out the window when on vacaction, I agree-when you just live w/o dieting, often you do better weight wise than all the freakin counting, etc...it's exhausting.
WELL, what else.....Al looks like a sweet guy. Cutie too.
I came home to a surprise today. I have been obsessed w/ this perfume and have just been waiting til after NC to buy it, cuz it's like $90 and it's kinda an indulgence I dont need before vacation....so, today I came home to it. ISNT THAT WONDERFUL??? A little treat from Kate, just because she is PROUD of me getting my ass up at 5:30 these last few days.
SO, I was thinkin, if you two want to know how I smell, find my perfume...isnt that a fun way to associate us? Our scents?
Dolce and Gabbana, Light Blue. It smells wonderful. I love perfume, lotions, bath salts, etc.
Ash, that is great about Maya and school. she does deserve the DS those are cool!!!!!! Those DVD players for the car are a freakin GOD SEND aren't they??? My sister has them for M&M.

Sooooo....

I should of had that damn pb bunny.
I weighed in, despite something saying, just DON'T DO IT....and it read: 247.5

A joke, no? After killing my body all week and doing more cardio than I ever do, staying SUPER low carb, I gained? Don't care how little the gain says today, by Wednesday I was down to 242 and just knew I was gonna rock it.
I am so over this low-carb thing. One cheat a week is going to set me up that many pounds?
No more scale, no more super low carb, hello Weight Watchers. At least I was more consistant then. So what it you lose slower, I have lost what like less that 10 pounds since NOVEMBER???????????????????????????????????????? SO OVER IT!!!!!

Totally frustrated in Iowa,
Jina

Aw..Jiina..I so feel your pain. When I was reading your long post I thought you were talking about me. We are SO alike. I'm not gonna go on how I can help...only listen..because you know yourself and what to do.

I like you can gain 3 lbs overnight and 5 lbs from a real bad weekend. I don't like low carb because it's so strict. WW might be better ...I know it's a slower weight loss but at least you can keep it off..ya know and a cheat won't affect you so much.

I just wanna say I LOVE Light Blue..smells very nice. I wear victoria secrets "very sexy" ONLY because I haven't been able to find a very nice scent I really like the past year. People often stop me and ask what perfume I'm wearing..makes me laugh..almost embarrassed to admit it LOL

I just got off the mill/bike combo..I couldn't bare to do more than 30 mins total..I was sweating and so exhausted..it was just too hard this morning so I will do some more later.

I have worked my a** off this week..up 2 lbs on monday from the weekend and down 2 lbs but what I love the most is the scale read 47% body fat!! I hasn't budged from 49% for a long while now so I am SUPER excited about that!

Hang in there my dear Jina..have fun this weekend and eat whatever you want in moderation! You'll get back on..that's what we do best right?

Lots and lots of love to you BOTH!
