yeah, okay, after the previous post where I talked about perserverence, I went off the deep end today, lol. I had a little of this a little of that, and only had a sit down meal once, at lunch time, half portion of chicken and veggie stir-fry. But before that I had some doughnut holes. It is so funny cause before I started this, doughnuts would have been really low on the list of worthy splurges, but since we found this joint, sesame doughnut, we have been hooked as regulars, well at least E and the kids, and I am always good for a hole. This place makes like 8 different kinds of holes, my fave are pumpkin, and they are cheap, 15 for $1. Anyhow, I am starting to think these little gems will be my new treat. I can get 15, and the kids can have a few each, a couple for E, and 1 for me. So better than the pint of B&J's that I used to consume on a more than weekly basis.

So after all that, we went to the store today to get all the fixings for making our own granola (the kids and I). They just love to cook with me, and are on a total granola/bar kick. So one of my old goodies was to put granola on ice cream, and kids wanted some for floats, so I got the new Breyers double churn no sugar added, vanilla, and to my surprise, it was really good!! And it even feels like real ice cream when you pick it up and put it in your mouth, not like fluff(I had 2 bites). It does have a few sugar alcohols, but after you minus out the fiber, yes it has 4 grams, it is only 10 carbs per serving(1/2 cup), and only 6 if you net out the sugar alcohols, and only 80 cals. So I am looking forward to having that once in awhile once I get down a few more pounds.

Oh my, my kids have been nasty to each other all day and I feel like I just want to bash my head against the wall about 10 times, lol. I hate being referee all day! hope you girls had a great Friday and now it is the weekend, yeah!! See ya tomarrow girls, Ash ;-)

morn

Hi girls. Busy weekend ahead! Yesterday/night was fun!!! Good hanging out w/ the couples. Jason came over early to finish the shrimp stuff and ribs...that was like, 3pm. We opened the first bottle of wine and went through two before anyone got there. Oops. I have to school that boy on holding his liquor, he was toasted.

The dinner was great, I didn't eat all day, had a long and drawn out work morning followed by Stela's Dr. appt. that was really long, and it was raining cats and dogs....so I was hungry and the wine hit me right away.

I didnt eat much, caesar salad a couple ribs, a bite of bread, some shrimp. It was good. i wasnt into dessert so that saved me a lot of carbs!!!!!!!!

Rachel went on and on at how good I looked. Especially the tan, but she said I had really lost weight, it's been a while since I have seen her in person---like 2 months. I told them more about you two and how good it's been for me. They were happy for us.
Just finished slim and precor 25 min. 50 so far. Going to Bre's, they picked out their grass green and chocolate paint for Fischer's room. Very exciting. All the kids will share the master and they will take Myles and Madi's room. I love painting.
I plan to get myself out of these 240's by NEXT Friday.....if I stay really strict I can do it....or try like hell. Lets shoot for low 240's.
So, dounut holes......yum. one little one here and there sounds great! The ice cream too.....good find. Dontcha hate those tough kiddie days?? Thank god they arent everyday.
T, your slumber party still on?
WEll, I should go. So much to day today and tomorrow. Weather is nice, Rebecca and I are meeting at 5:45 this Monday, will be our first time on the bike path jogging. Weather is good from here on out, except for some rain spells. That's a good thing...I can handle the rain.
3 weeks til NC. Can't wait. God if I could get 20 pounds off before then.....we'll see. If Ash is still kicking 6pound losses 4mo into this-maybe I have a couple rockstar numbers myself.

Good weekend lovelies.

mid day check in

Ash..I agree you could have had a better cheat but oh well..I'm sure your exercise will cancel it out so don't worry.

Jina..glad you had fun last night..Jeannie and I polished off a bottle of wine too. I didn't have dinner..just a cheese stick and some lowfat corn tortilla chips..go figure. I was drinking so I didn't need any food

HEY..I got your card today in the mail..so cute because J was on the mill and I was sweating on the bike when R handed it to me..I didn't recognize the writing so when I saw it was you there was a BIG SMILE on my face...THANK YOU very much

Last weekend decided there would be no slumber party..mixed schedules didn't allow for it so it's just J and I tonight..were gonna go out for a bit..then to dinner then come home..maybe jump in the pool and have some champagne! I'm still sending the fam off to moms to spend the night so it's a good break for me!

I hope you both are having a great Saturday. Let me know how you did today.

L - we all went to whole foods and had a sandwich

Hiya

Glad you two are making good use of the weekend. Fun it sounds T. Great work at Curves Ashley. Painting was an extra workout, moving all the furniture and then up and down w/ out an extention pole (on purpose) really gave my arms and calfs a workout...the room looks so adorable. 2 walls grass green, 2 walls cowboy boot brown and I am polka dotting the walls tomorrow in the contrasting color. I love it!

Spent time at my Mom and Dad's today. That was nice. Watched Stela's birth video since my Dad didnt get to make it, it is always emotional for us...rewatching. I was HUGE seriously, 298!!!!!!!!

When I get discouraged I need to stop and realize, it's not so bad-the weight is coming off.

SO, gotta get ready for supper now. meat/cheese lunch and burger no bun for supper. No fun, oh well. The fun was last night.

T- your welcome for the card, I thought it was cute and very....us. Sorry it didn't get to you on your actual bday.
I'm outtie, love ya's.

Lazy Sunday

Morning!!
Last night I was up late, waiting for E. He went to go play pool after work with friends, I am a huge worrier in this situation, product of the past, so I always stay up and wait. Didn't go to bet till 3, so that means today will be a lazy day. Yesterday, I did get the frame for around my bathroom mirror made, so maybe today I will get the dark brown (wood toned) paint to paint it and the shelf I am putting up.

Great eats yesterday:
B: eggs n cheese, lc yogurt
L: turkey burger patty, broccoli
S: nuts
D: Turkey ragu over shredded brocolli spaghetti
Drownded in water

Today so far
LC yogurt, 1T pb, water, few bites eggs

Jina, painting is so much fun, especially when you have a painting party. I remeber just before, Luke and Lex came home, I had one for their room. And it is so true that is is a good workout. I was sore after just painting my tiny bath, the ceiling was the most fun part. Polka dots sound so cute! There is an inspiration room by.....Pratt&Lambert, a pink princess room, but then they use lavender grey polka dots on the ceiling, adorable! My pro painter friend is dying to add them to Maya's room. Just haven't had the time.

I can imagine how emotional it must have been to share the video with your dad, almost like reliving it. I sure wish we had taped the births of our kids, actually we might have Maya's, I can't remember (what a dork I am ), but have tons of pics. With Luke and Lex, we were so unprepared, we were lucky the OR nurse went and scrounged up a disposable camera for E to use. But even with that, we didn't have nearly the same amount of of pics of that as we did with Maya, since once they removed Luke and Lex (C-sec)they wisked them off to work on them.

Today I am going to try and finish my book, it's due soon and there is no renewal on it cause of the long waiting list.

Ash

How exciting to see that that ticker is so close to its destination. Really awesome.

Feeling not great today, the time change has screwed me up and I am feeling out of whack. Tanned, got my hair done (though-a little too drastic w/ the blonde - we will have to add some more dark) and cleaned the house. It's 61 today, great for outside cardio, which I am about to do followed by slim in 6.
So far today I have only had water and 3 scrambled eggs. Just not overly interested. Good I guess.

Well, I am off to make the best of the rest of this day.
Toodles.

Hair do

I really like the blond on ya for summer coming up, but I too fancy the kinda chunky blond (lol) and brown mix. I always do my own highlights but the past 3 times I have done them (with my good ol' stand-by, and other newer mixes) they just don't take. Can't figure out why, my hair used to lift very easy like my moms, but I don't know now. I am going to give it another try closer to the mex trip, I like to throw in a bit of red too for some drama. At any rate, I think it looks very sexy! You go girl! Ash

oh man, I just had finished dinner, a LC wrap with chicken, then E walked in with Shrimp Provencal and my fave julienne veggies. Darn, well I had 4 shrimp, and ate the veggies. I wasn't bad food, it's just that I had already eaten. Oh well, I am sad to be saying goodbye to Sunday, cause that means tomarrow is a get up and go early day, get Maya on the bus. I have lots of yard work to do tomarrow to get ready for spring florish. The crocus have already bloomed and the daffs will be blooming any day now. My Butterfly bushes need serious whacking back, sigh, at least it will keep me busy, and out of the way of food. :-)

See you girls tomarrow, Ash

Morning Monday

Hi Girls.

I am super tired, I didn't adjust to the time change and slept for crap....felt like I just closed my eyes and then it was 5:30. UGH!
I met Rebecca for our first walk/jog outside! The bike path was dark, it was chili and we were both pretty scared.....it's a wooded path w/ no lights...but we did it! 45 minutes!!! So glad to have that out of the way and 20 oz water already too!

I might drag ass today but it will be worth it come Friday! So, it's supposed to be 60's today, we will jog again at lunch. I'd say I jogged about 1/2 of the route this morning. I hate leaving her behind too much, but I also didn't feel I could do the entire thing...in time.

K, I gotta get stuff done now....we'll talk again soon.
Ash, I love yard work...can't wait to get my hands on ours now! Especially w/ the daylight longer, I can do it after work-same thing, keeping my mind off food.
T, MIA-what's that about?

Morning Girls!

Time change was rough this year, I agree!

Wow Jina I am so impressed that you got up hella early and did your thing!! Especially if it was a bit scary, I would have backed out, I have a thing about walking in secluded areas that are not well lit. Anyway, 45 minutes down, you are going to be getting a huge number on Friday! And yes, it is "chili", here too, guess the weather gods changed their minds about giving me the warm sunny day. It is going to be in the 60's but overcast, bummer.

Yogurt LC, for breakfast, and now off to home depot. Lunch, have no clue, E's day off, but we may work right through lunch, friends remod.

Last night I jogged inside for 25 minutes at a slow pace, felt good, since I wasn't feeling my reg cardio.

T, where ya at? Hope you had a wonderbar weekend!

BBL, Ash

hey

good job ash w/ the jogging, you are totally getting there. I tell ya, it kicks my butt, outside, I just cant get to where I was!! In time.
Remodel, sounds fun!!
polka dots are 1/2 done at Bre's - super cute. They have an old house w/ tons of charm so the ceilings are like 14 ft tall and it makes a big impact, w/ the huge crown moldings and the big windows...will take a pic soon. hey did you get that curtain made or are you waiting on me to send a pic? Well, I am sure you aren't waiting on me, but I will still send the pic.

HEY

Guess who just did 32 more cardio minutes??? YUP! That is 77 min so far today. I can promise you that is it for cardio. I will do 8 min abs/arms though! I have a plan: m-f 5:30, walk/jog 45 min. m/t/t/ afternoons 30 min. cardio here at work at lunch. wed and fri are 1/2 days, so that will be slim or other video workouts. Sat and Sun, I will say "free pass" but do what I want exercise wise, if I do, great-if not, fine! arms/abs every night. I have to get these arms in shape.

T- thanks for the compliment. I am hoping it's starting to show a bit. My hair looks all over blond in that avatar, it isn't. It's just the top, or mohawk area she calls it. Blond is a fun summer thing.
Well, glad you had a blast w/ your hot temps and the boat/pool and J. Sounds like we missed a great weekend w/ T, Ash. Someday!
Only 24 days til vaca. Cant wait to get out of this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Going out this Sat. Doing it up for St. Pats! Hate to take in all that liquor when i have done so well....but I cant get through w/o some green beer! Will take pics from that night, should be a blast w/ the girls we plan on going w/!
Talk soon my little lovelies.
love-J

Sounds Great

Jina, your workout plans sound very good, it really helps when you lay it all out for the week ahead of you, then you can't forget. Sometimes I even write up my schedule and post it on the front door(inside that is, haha), so it isn't a surprise to anyone when I am gone, and it is harder to put off when I have it in my face, lol. Good job on those cardio minutes!! You're whuppin' my but today, I have just been moving 2x4s, drilling, sawing, and climbing the ladder....a million times, that oughta be worth something :-)

Oh lucky T, what glorious weather, pump up the AC! It sounds like absolute heaven to be out on the boat or in an outdoor swim pool, soaking up the sun. I am so happy you had a good Bday weekend. Glad to see you are still peddle to the metal.

So far we don't have any plans for St. Patty's day but we have the big quinceanos party and another Bday party Sat night, I plan to party it up, ie, not eat it up. Food at the quinceanos is always the same boring food, so no prob there, and I have no idea at y other friends party, probably ore alcohol than food, lol, so I shouldn't have too uch of a prob.

Lunch: LC tortilla, turkey with homeade sauce and mozzarella, water, Diet Root beer

Catch ya later girls, Ash
