Jina..we must be related somehow because we have the same genetics. I totally hear you on not having a metabolism. I am convinced I don't have one. I feel your ANGST! I know..I just had a protein shake (cuz I still haven't gone to the market) and it went right through me! It had ff yogurt, fresh berries, flaxseeds and it was like I ate air. All I want is to eat some damn carbs for breakfast and I'll be ok..like a little bit of potatoes or some toast. I wish you could see my frustration too. I feel cursed. I hate being fat and I know you hate it too..you are too pretty to be fat (of course been told this all my life) so what do we do to change it? We have to find the niche..what works and it takes a battle. I'm thinking of going lower carb bcuz I feel I've been good (most days) and I should have lost more weight! I just don't know.

I'm here to listen..all we have is today..don't worry about the next 44..day by day..that's how I did it last time..there is no other way.

3 day thing

Jina do it! For all it's worth, and hardcore! It's only 3 little days, that being said, there will be extreme cravings probably, but just think it is just 3 days! So what you get to by Friday! But I agree with T, you just need to find your niche and work it! No more beating yourself up over cheats, I love ya too much to see ya down on yourself.

T, you are a cycle queen, 501 calories is awesome, that'll take a big bite out of your days cals. Good work.

Curves was good, worked up a good sweat then took a pic of me next to my name on the board in the butterfly, I was the first person to lose 20, think I said that already, but I will post that pick today.

So cheats, when you girls have cheat, do you notice it goes straight through ya? My doodys are far between when I am strict, but when I have a cheat, I notice that I will have to go to the bathroom almost right away, and a few times. Why do you suppose that is? Is that go or bad? Hmm, sorry it is a bit of a gross subject but just curious.

T, I would come cook ya some breakfast in a NY minute if I could!

Alright girls, I am off to the shower, I'll be back later. I already got a chicken in the crock for dinner, so lunch is going to be salad, haven't eaten breakfast yet. Keep it up girls, Ash

Hey

I dont know how they do it...all I can think about is food. Pilates sucked and I don't want to go outside and it's like 50 degrees....

Not going to be easy today-but so far, still hanging in there.

Ashley, I can't wait to see that picture of you at Curves.
T. I think lower carb is good for you, you should be losing with that cardio burn like you've been doing.

Goals used to help me so much, now it's just like trying to see how far I can push it and still cheat the scale from week to week, WHAT? Coo-Coo, Coo-Coo.

I feel ya on the quick system clean out w/ the carbs. Not sure why...I am sure I could ask Dr. S, I should know the reasons.....perhaps that sugar is freaking everything out inside? All I keep reading about is this fantastic energy people feel when on kimmer/kimkins...after the first few days....how did anyone get through the first 3 to find out? Hmmm...ok, off I go to do something to keep my mind off the chorizo/potato/egg breakfast burritos taunting me from the kitchen.
What a drag.

Okay, so here is that pic with my name in the butterfly and an example of the shirt I got. I look pudgy here, but I think it is due to the fact that I hadn't put on my makeup yet, lol.

Okay, so my name in the butterfly is barely visable and the other name is Marjorie's (the owner, she was playing around trying to figure out how to print in a butterfly.)

Oh man Jina, a chorizo and potato burrito, that would get me too!! I am sending some big will power vibes! Have you ever had panbasos? They are a Mexico City thing, but it is a bolillo (crusty roll) drenched in chile paste, filled with chorizo mashed potatoes, beans and whatever else you like, then fried in the chorizo fat. OMG, they are good! But, alas, not doable now, think chicken. You can still do cheese right? Maybe stuff yourself a chicken breast with some ham and cheese and do a faked out cordon blue, crusted with parmesan cheese. Sounds good to me.

For lunch I had a half a chicken mediteranian salad and a bunch of water. my roast chicken is smelling roasty toasty, just wish I could eat half a loaf of good French bread with it! :-)

Well just got back from Library, they had my book in, the Motor Mouth by Janet Evanovich, can't wait to get into it!!

TTFN and BBL, Ashley :-)

hard WED

I will double that on the chorizo/potato burrito..that is a true carbjunkie's meal I don't ever eat chorizo anymore..for about 10 yrs now..after I learned what's in it and how fattening it is but I know it's good! I hear ya J..I've been hungry all day too..trying to munch on veggies and grapefruit to curb.

I finally went to trader joes and bought $132 so I'm ok till Monday. I bought some whole grain bread (like a french roll) it is SO good..I had a slice yum.

Heres what I've eaten and will eat

B - fruit protein shake
L - 2 slices ham 1 grapefruit
S - 1 thick slice whole wheat bread
D - baked chicken parmesan n salad - no mozz cheese for me

Skinny legs

Hey thanx, you noticed that too! I look down and don't see the skinny legs that are in the picture, I think it is an optical illusion, but I looked at the picture too, and thought whoa, where did those come from, lol!

Lucky girl, shopping spree at TJ's. One of my old bad habits was to go there and buy up all the yummy looking stuff that was for a weeks time, but then I would come home and want to eat/try it all, yikes! Just thinking about their stuff gets my mouth watering, lol. Good job on the eats though, you have a strong will not to dive in and do breaststrokes in all the goodies!! So great!

hey!

Ash you are getting so thin, you look like a bonafied skinny girl in that picture. You don't need make-up! I am realizing in my 30th year, I need to wear it more often then gatherings/going out. My skin is pretty sun damaged and uneven now...it used to be flawless. I use bare escentuals and if neither of you know the gloriousness about it-you should look into it. Very pricy but a little goes a long way. All the make-up is pure minerals that you can actually sleep in. Its light powdered minerals...I never sleep in it though, just a thing I have about sleeping in make-up.
Trader Joes, I mean to get there some time. Think the nearest is Chicago. Glad you are really fighting temptation T. Ash, your chicken sounds great...I do so love french bread.

Just wrapped up dinner and going through all Stela's stuff w/my sister-trying to find somethings for her baby boy, there were quite a few white/yellow things...so hard to look back on those itty bitty things.
Anyway....I just uploaded some pics from the dig. so I will see what I can post...nothing exciting though-just normal everyday stuff.
Love ya girls.
Day 1 was ok...but not over yet...this is when the danger starts so I am drowning myself with water. Good night!
in order....the three of us last Saturday night, Kate and Stela in the snow last week, in our front yard, and My sister Breanne and stela and I...doesn't that baby look so happy? Always. As for me, these pics sparked me to start tanning. So I have done that this week. Love ya girls.

Jina I love the pictures! It is amazing seeing more and more pics how much you learn and gleen from 'em, for example I love the green walls!! You look terrific in all your pictures and I am so jelous you don't have to wear makeup. It is the other area I really need to improve. I'll talk about that later. Kate has really shrunk from the last pictures I remember. Stela as always looks so bright eyed and full of energy!! She looks like she is about to jump out of arms, what a doll! And your sis is a lot younger looking than I imagined in my head, she is just glowing!

Well today is loads of water, woke up feeling parched. Yesterday I didn't quite meet my allotment. I am going to be doing cardio this morning and then at night, get some walking in during the day too.
Eats:
B: maybe thai lettuce wraps
L: maybe more lettuce wraps, they are kinda addicting
D: thai lettuce wraps, no just kidding, lol, think I'll have some chicken and broccoli

Teresa, bike this morning?? Go the miles!!

Alright then, have a good morning! Ash ;-)

Nix that about dinner, maybe we'll have chicken enchiladas with mole. E is home for dinner tonight, Maya has her school program. I'll have 1 with lots of chicken and little mole on a LC tortilla.

I will do 30 mins on the treadmill when he leaves.

I forgot to tell you guys..when we went on the boat..we had to pee and was visiting the "SS Relief" station..when I came out and looked down into the boat..bloop bloop bloop went my D&G's in the water..they were my 3rd pair since last summer..(Jeannie was cracking up) cuz we all stopped and looked but there was no time to save them

Anyway, my dear friends I wish you well today. Jina..have you tamed the monster?

Ins wouldn't pay..said it was considered a "personal item"..whatever!

Hi.

Back from lunch, remind me next time I decide to order Mahi - think twice. It was gross, but I am not hungry anyway.

Sucks about the D&G, do you girls not shop TJ Maxx or Marshall's for designer for less? OMG, $150 for sunglasses?
I am so hard on that type of thing, it's $25 or less...no exceptions.

Ash your Thai wraps sound good. Really good. Thanks for the green compliment. I wanted a pop in that room as the furniture is espresso toned....the kitchen is pretty big so it works in there. I have never been afraid of color and would rather chew my arm off than live in a WHITE room. No way. Even when I rented in my single days I was always painting.

Walk/jog was good, but freezing cold. 25 minutes w/ some hills. Will hit the
abs/arms tonight.

We are starting our morning routine tomorrow. Rebecca and I (or alone when she cant) at the bike path at 5:45 in the morning. Jogging at least 1/2 hr and building from there. I have to get an extra cardio burst in and def. on the pavement. Enough jacking around, I have to make the decision and stick to it. Mornings suck, but that's life.
Off I go. Have a good rest of the day.

ps

That pic of my sister at my Mom's last weekend...she would freakin KILL me for posting that, she is never that white or that "huge"....in fact, the picture all around isn't good. I need to do better w/ picture taking, since the digital has that self timer maybe we'll mess w/ it?

I love pictures.

I'm anal about my sunglasses..it's not that I want to be stupid and pay over a hundred bucks for them..I just don't like the less expensive ones..they aren't as nice. I won't spend over 200 for sunglasses though. I usually don't lose them either. I don't shop at TJ or Marshalls..here in LA..they suck. Although TJ does have some nice stuff for the home.

Good work on the jogging Jina..I hope your friend will stay committed.

I'm hungry..feel like something good..so not in the mood for a salad but it'll have to do.

lunch

I know I'm taking up too much space but I'm back again. I just finished my lunch..forgot the salad..couldn't do it..instead had a turkey burger (only 5 grams fat) with onion, peppers, tomatoes..yum..it was good and I actually feel full (for now at least) I had another 1/2 grapefruit..so good..I read that they are a natural appetite supressant..not sure about that.

It's drizzly outside and I'm feeling a little lazy so I'll go and watch a little tv. before I have to get the kidoodles.

Jina..Mahi..is definately not a light tasting fish..halibut/talapia/cod are better if you don't like the fishy fish.

Mid afternoon

Hey girls! T so that does suck about your sunglasses!! Third pair too, usually they are the charm, lol. Oh well, at least it wasn't you that went bloop bloop!! I wouldn't spend that much either on sunglasses on myself, either, I am too frugal. I do love TJ maxx for that, can get some good stuff for cheap, but I agree, there are some of them here that I don't set foot in. Probably for the same reasons you don't go in the ones in LA T. But where there is a deal, I usually look. :-)

Speaking of deals, last night I went to the mall and the art shop was having a blow out sale, I got 3 huge beautifully framed and matted pictures for 62 bucks. Original price for the group was $400! Oh yeah!

T, I believe grapefruits are a natural appetite suppresser, that must be why some people swear by the grapefruit skin tea. My BIL used to drink it constantly.

I just had some lunch so now I am going to read a bit in my new book.

Jina, I am impressed you are going to start a morning routine, and at 5:45, whoa, it is hard for me to peel myself out of bed at 6 to go to Curves sometimes, but the rest of the day I feel wonderful, so it is worth every bit of effort!! You go girl! Good job on the run/walk too!

Check ya later girls! Ashley

Great deal Ash. What are they of? We should go around taking pictures of our houses, so we feel more like we know eachother. I love good deals!

I do love those types of fish, Mahi is one I hadn't tried...I am a salmon type girl. It tased liked a sponge, but it did sit while I exercised and I ordered it grilled plain...butter makes everything better.

Had lunch with a rep who is doing Weight Watchers-she said I looked good, she could tell a difference since last month...and the nicest thing EVER...she said I inspired her with my no jog to jog mama and she has started that in her walking routine. How exciting?

WW sounds more attractive all the time. You feel my pain girls? I am always so flip floppy. I know exactly what to eat to lose weight I just cant do it...I love food tooooooo much. When I restrict, no matter full or not I still am always aware "I am dieting". When Lora was here she was like, I am bored w/ my WW food...i was like, Oh girl...try this, this and this...I just always go back to it.
Just thinking out loud I guess.
You know what I miss? Bananas. Kate brought some home yesterday (organic) and I just wanted to die. They were 2 ww points and worth every bit of it.

Thanks for supporting my early morning efforts Ashley!!!!! It means a lot to me...and if you only really knew how much of a morning grump I am-you'd be even more proud.

hey

I just got off the treadmill..only did 15mins..for some reason sweating like a hog and my calves are killing me. I didn't want to push it so I can do 40mins on the bike the morning.

I had a piece of chocolate dipped in peanut butter..LOL I know..but it wasn't that much so I'll have a lite dinner. Probably some spinach and a small piece of leftover chicken parmesan.

It's weigh day tomorrow..haven't wanted to look bcuz the scale makes me crazy.

Hope you both are having a nice evening.

T.

no F'in Way

Loser reporting: I had a rocky road shake tonight.

Am I for real?? WHO DOES THIS? It's supposed to freeze over night so Rebecca and I are doing our jog thing starting Monday. After a weekend of rain and possible snow it's supposed to warm up for a while.

Waiting on TOM, anyday now. I am probably over 260...it sucks how much a bit of carbs will send you and over the top crazy number.

Off to bed. Maybe I should just exercise and not diet at all. Never tried that....eating little bits of everything works for Kate as you two can plainly see---she is steadily shrinking.
My own gastric bypass type plan....eating out of a 1/4 serving, of anything I want about 6 times a day.
Whatever, I tire myself out with this back/forth BS!
Nighty night lovelies.
Thank god you both don't think I am a crazy person.....or do you?!?!?

TGIF!

Hi.
The scale said 252 this morning. Let me jog your memory; Started meat/eggs on Wednesday after carb up on Tuesday at which time the scale said 258. Then I couldn't hack the 3 day diet and cheated w/ Rocky Road. Then I weigh this morning with clothes (+jeans) on and it says 252.
I'm gonna go ahead and take it.

Maybe I will try that little experiment of eating way smaller portions. But, the key will be intense exercise. We know this, yes?!!

Can't wait to hear, feeling good today, really I do. Time to get my hair done again too. A little blond will really get me feeling like a bombshell.
I don't particularly like that avatar picture, in fact it's pretty bad, except for my super sweet and adorable daughter....but I thought it might encourage me a bit.

Ok girlies. will go, Rebecca went home sick so it's just me and the Doc, but so far so good...will check in at home after noon.
Good Friday wishes to my internet sista's.... -Jina
