Monday Morning, Fresh start....yet again

Hi girls. Thanks for the responses. I would NEVER lose touch of either of you even if I did give in and walk out of my own forum....um HEL-LO, I started this, how can I forget that? How can I forget how many times you two have helped me and supported me and cheered me on?? Noone in my life, including my own wife has been as supportive w/ my weight issues. I have never stayed w/ a diet plan as long as this and that IS 100% Ashley and Teresa motivated.

I felt so shipwrecked yesterday, that is the best word for it. My TOM makes me crazy and I just cried and ate and ate and ate and ate (getting dizzy) myself sick.
If I thought I'd be happy being a size 20 would just stay this way. I'm not, I know I am strong and I know I can do it.
It came to me in a dream last night. I was running and lean and strong and SUPER hot btw!
I want that Jina. I have said it before and I will say it until I reach goal...I/WE are too cute to be fat!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today is a beginning of 100% accountability.
I want to hear it from you both as well. It's Monday, what are you eating, what exercise goals do you have and YES I am back on weekly weighs with you two.
Accountability. The only way I will make it.
Can you imagine what I put my Kate through? So back and forth all the time.
The buck stops here. T-you will be seriously down by your sister's wedding, Ash you will make the 50 pound goal by April and together we will stay fabulous, loving, great, motivating buddies.
I love you two. I really, really DO!
Thanks.
PS- did you get that watch ash? Wanted to say I AM SO HAPPY you lost those ARM inches. YAHOO!!!! Want to see a new pic in your old jeans. I bet they are so loose now.
Glad the candy didn't phase you too much. T-what have you been doing this week? You and me lady, we gotta get some stuff down on paper here...what are we going to make happen? Ash, your right, journaling is key. I must keep on doing that.
Happy week to you my sweet's!

Emotional Hijack

Don't you hate it when that happens!!! I was so worried about you yesterday Jina, but all day I said to myself (and T) that there was no way that you wuold quit!! Let me just say BBBBRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAVVVVVVOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! For saying what you felt yesterday and coming back to pull yourself up by the bootstraps, anyway, it's easier to get back up here, we are here to help you when you stumble! I am all for the 100% accountability!
Today, curves and cardio, with added abs and arms. Who knows, mmaybe even get some runing in today to test out my new watch(btw, I did get the pink HRM watch, it is real nice.)
Eats:
before curves: Chocolate soy
Breakfast: Egg beaters and pastrami/cheese omelete
Lunch:?
Dinner: Chicken breast with mushroom pesto and broccoli

So last night I used my watch while doing our short Slim in 6 routine, it said I burned 201 calories!! Wow that is a lot more than Fitday allows for cardio, so I am excited! I am going to enter my cals into the watch today too to see how easy it is to do.

Yeah!!! It is Monday, and I am ready to take on the week!! So glad your back Jina! What'did I tell ya T?! have a great one! Talk later today, Ash

Sooo you two crazy kids were talkin about me, eh?! Yah, I like to keep you guessing. Ash jacked up as my habits are it's a wonder I even still have metabolism!

That watch sounds great, a lot like that band I saw that time....really cool. How has jogging been? Want to keep on the same with that Ashley! Both of us will be doing 5K this spring, YES?!?! YES!!!

Today.
coffee, 1 hb egg
lunch chicken smothered in mushrooms, bacon and parmesan sauce..YUM!
chicken breast marinated in greek dressing
new tea I bought, vanilla caramel truffle (tripod bags)

30 minutes jogging, arms (double time, I have to catch up, Ash!!!) and my 8 minutes abs routine tonight. I will be in pain for days but I love that DVD! Old school ab work, but it does work.

**I will lose 5 pounds this week!!!!**

I weighed in this morning. It was really ugly and discouraging but I did carb up a lot. I will post with measurements later, so I am good to go on friday w/ you two.
Thanks again for not giving up on me, my super great friends!!!!

MONday

Jina..I am so relieved..I really stressed out about you yesterday. I found myself eating something bad (a hamburger) and said to myself..why are you eating this? Was it an excuse because you were bailing?..dunno but Anyway, all that matters is you are back

Ash..I'm glad you have faith..that's why you've been so successful..you have more faith in us than we do in ourselves. You are awesome!

Jeannie spent the night (has the day off she's a teacher) so we went to the park this morning. She's the one who told me..you go back and write Jina right now and tell her she is not quitting! We went for a walk at the park for an hour and had a healthy bfast (eggwhite omelettes) We will do more cardio later in the day too..I'll do bike and she'll do tread.

I'm glad guys are holding me accountable..I really need it. Thank you!

XO, T.

T!!! Good to see you, good breakfast, good plan and good friends!!! Your buddy is awesome. I could tell from that picture she is a lot of fun!

Plan sounds good. Let's us both try for a rock star # this friday.

I love that you talk about me when not online, I do the same where you two are concerned and sometimes "they" are like, WHO???? I'm like, HELLO, my internet sisters!! DUH!!

OK walk was hard as hell....it's FREEZING out. About 20 degrees (heat wave actually) but I had to get outside we are supposed to get 6 inches tomorrow. It was hard since there are several inches of slosh still out there, just enough to engage all your muscles. LOVE THAT!

Lunch was ok. Arms got skipped til later w/ abs. It's 7 min abs 7 min arms, same disc. Will DEF. do it.

Hope you two are a-ok today.

Talk off-line

OMGosh, sometimes I feel obsessed with you guys! LOL!! I talk about you guys all the time with E and my mom! I think it is because we are so tight and know what each other is going through. Well lunch today ended up being chicken fajita salad, it was really good, but big. I haven't felt the urge to snack at all today, love it love it!

Jina and T, great outdoor exercises for the both of you!! I just love the outdoors now, I feel like I connect much more with who I am supposed to be. Spent a good deal of time today outside too.

So my HR monitor registered that I spent 232 calories at my curves workout, so it seems that it/fitday are right in sync (sp?) cause my fit day always say I spend 235 cals, so that is good news! Got a tiny pedometer today, just cause it was so darn cute, and only 3 bucks....well, and because the kids lost my other one, lol.

Off to make dinner, have a good rest of the night girls! Ash

white morning..

Hi ladies. The snow is so crazy today, winds at 35 mph, supposed to get at least 4 inches and up to 8 inches.....it was a challenge just getting here and I have 4WD!! Naturally you would think a pretty strong geriatric patient base would be too scared to come, naw...they will still be sliding (literally) in here. SO IRRITATING!
Last night I did abs, it sucked but a good kinda suck... then I used my fabulous new arm weights (V day present- early) and really worked them...that nearly 2 inches is my inspiration Ashley! WOWZERS, hold up your fingers, that is quite a bit of a loss, you'll be looking all Heidi Klum in your swim suit this summer for sure!
Kate also bought me 2 Windsor pilates discs and a 'burn book' that I didn't have. A body sculpt and a burn...supposed to lose a dress size in 10 days. The program looks kinda grueling but I am going try it.

Well, dinner was that promised chicken breast and I had about 10 almonds w/ my tea. T-did you do the bike last night?
What's on the agenda for today curves queen? Did you get that shirt then??? Probably breakin all their records. That's my girl!
check ya's later.

TUESday

I know..I talk about you guys all the time too..it's funny. I didn't end up getting my second exercise in..we wanted to..talked about it..but didn't of course. I had a fajita chicken salad for lunch too..a couple of chips ( no no) but no dressing but I still could have done better.

I didn't eat dinner..instead I opted for a glass of red wine and a piece of high quality dark chocolate. I know..but I have been a little stressed about my daughter lately so I needed it.

Weather is gorgeous here..but I'm stuck inside today for a while doing laundry. I just got off the bike..300 cals..5.8 miles..30mins. I wanted to do another ten but I wanted to break up my workout today. So I will do another workout on the treadmill and arm weights around 3. Heres what's on the menu today.

B - ff yogurt w/almonds
L - chicken mole n salad
D - fish n spinach

Hugs to you both!

T.

Morning! ;-)

Excelent job on the workouts girls! Made it to curves this moring, but no shirt yet, darn, I was dying of thirst this morning, so I had to have a glass of water before going. I am less than a pound away though! Can't wait!! I probably would have made it if I hadn't had such a heavy dinner, I felt ravenous last night, so I had a bunch of different proteins, nothing too high in fat, chicken breast, a little ham, and some shrimp, tiny bit of ground beef, but I know all those things weigh a lot, and they haven't moved on yet, lol. So I am aiming for Thursday being the day, although I might get a wild hair and go to Curves again tomarrow. Today's workout registered 257 calories out, I worked at 78-80% of HR today, really pushed it on the recovery pads. I am up to 2700 steps already today, going for about 14,000 total. This afternoon, I am doing a run, didn't get to it yesterday. Tonight, middle Slim in 6.

Eats:
1 egg beater, 1 slice turkey pastrami, .5 cup choco soy slender
lunch: LC Wrap sandwiches with chicken breast, buffalo sauce, and blue cheese, some romaine
Dinner: something from the freezer,lol

Jina, it is so nice that Kate is really being super supportive now with all those health goodys, it is fun to get new exercise stuff......I can't believe I am saying this, who have I become, lol. We have become exercise gurus! You wouldn't believe the list of people I have that want to know what I am doing and if I can help them lose weight too, or if they can come and exercise with me, crazy! Maybe I should become a personal trainer, hahahahahahaha, that'll be the day. Personal trainer/Personal chef, lol!!!

Have a great one girls!!! Talk to yas later today! Mwah, Ash

watch it now...

you might JUST take over Bob Greene's sopt as oprah's trainer Ashley! I can totally see you being a trainer or leading an exercise class...hell yah, for sure!

Today was ok...had a boring day. Playing cards w/ Dr and drug rep. Kate and Stela were out for work and stopped in too....didn't get my jog on here so have to add that to my pilates routine tonight. The weights are awesome, they are that neoprene (sp?) stuff and have a strap so they are comfortable...really like them.

Nervous to weigh/ measure Thursday. No matter what happens I hope like hell I am not OVER my 258, even if I remain at 249 like last time, It's unreal how much weight you can gain w/ a carb up, ya know?!

The rep and his wife have done weight watchers and are loving it. He was like, ya know, if you do well all week you CAN have bad stuff in moderation on the weekends...I think I might go back. S**T at this rate, I am barely keeping my head above water, 2 lb a week might not be the worst thing ever. Still heavy w/ proteins, though lower and eating my favorite oatmeal and other ww recipes, like chili's, soups and caseroles......the meat/eggs/vege thing is tired. I MISS FRUITS and yogart and cottage cheeses and that kind of stuff.
Will think on it after weigh day I guess. So yes, I am measuring on thursday and weighing on Fri. w/ you two.
T- wine and chocolate. Yum.
OK. off I go.
Ash you will get that shirt yet this week. How exciting. I am amazed by you, can you send some new pic's of your progress. I can tell from the before pic (middle pic, at xmas time, I guess it is) that your things have really contored and sculpted down. Great, Great, GREAT!

before dinner..

Today has been a little hard but I've beat some temptations. Actually feeling a little more hungry than normal but been able to stay on track.

Great pics J...two cute green eyed girls! What a proud mom I totally agree with you going towards fruits and lowfat dairy it really does give you more of a variety. Oatmeal is soo good for you too..you should be able to enjoy a little with your hb egg in the morning..great protein/carb combo.

Ash..when I grow up I wanna be like you!

So not in the mood for fish and veggies for dinner..maybe i'll grab a chicken sandwich or something like that.

going in circles

Girls..I have just been running myself around in circles..doing great for days and then messing up (and just a little..not a lot) and it really messes with my head and makes me miserable. Last night I ate a grilled chicken sandwich and a vanilla shake (I know) and I weighed myself this morning and am up 2 lbs. Even the body fat percentage went up half a percent!

I should have lost at least 15 lbs by now and all this messing around isn't worth the torture. I have to realize that even with a small cheat (even when I ate good all day) is just not gonna work. I just shake my head and think what kind of human am I that I can't even eat something simple like that? I had broccoli for breakfast cuz I didn't feel like anything else. Then lunch..a chicken breast w/bbb sauce..that's it! The whole day.

Ok enough ranting. I immediately wanted to beat myself up this morning but I'm going to try not to do that. I will do better today to make up for yesterday but like you said Jina..2 steps forward and 3 steps back is killing me.

Ash..don't be disappointed..I'll get it together.

Either way it's Valentines Day and I wish you two girls a great day!

T.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY GIRLS!!! just had to shout it out! Have a great one!

T- I am not disappointed, it happens, it's life, the ultimate goal is to become a healthier you, little by little, so what if you take 2 steps forward 1 back, these are things you need to do to learn, if you got it all right the first time, you would get to maintain stage and not know what to do. But, I have to say,(to be read in a computerized voice) "Step away from the scale!" LOL, you won't beat yourself up all week, I know it is hard not to peek, I feel the same, but in the end, it all works out. And yes your workouts will do somem damage on those calories from yesterday! Keep 'em up!!

Jina, WW would be a good option then, but you said before you know all the counts, can you do it on your own? Here is how I see it, it all comes down to cals in cals out, with LCing, the rate of fat lose is faster than traditional dieting but only if you keep it strict, but who really wants to do the really strict thing for more than 2 weeks? It is hard, and sets you up to feel deprived. Right now you are trying to stay under 20 carbs total, not net right? Would you be up for an expiriment?? What if you stayed below 40 carbs/day (maybe netting 30-33 carbs) and lower calorie but still higher protein, but lots of flavors, variety? Would you try it? For a week? On about 30 net carbs a day I can have a LC tortilla, lots of veggies and salads, melon if I plan ahead, peanut butter, LC yogurt, cottage cheese, lots of stuff. You would be eating similarly to me, so I could help you put together a menu. All that being said, I know you don't like to be lectured about eating ;-) lol, but it's just a thought. I know whatever you do will be the right thing for you! Just keep trucking!! And I can't wait to hear those numbers girl!

So yesterday I got in my run/super fast butt walk 25 minutes, plus 30 minutes cardio/arms routine before bed. Didn't want to do the last one since we came back from the movies last night at 10, but I pushed through it, E passed. Went to see Nan's Labarinth, had no idea it was in Spanish (Espaņa), it was actually quite gory, not my type of movie, but interesting to see a non-Hollywood movie. E treated to dinner at California Pizza before the movie, but I had the cob salad, nothing special but it was pretty good! He is going to be gone all day today, getting ready for dinner tonight, it is going to be the busiest Vday ever, as of yesterday they had 115 reservations, the boss was smiling ear to ear, lol. But later tonight after it slows down, I will take the kids over to eat Vday dinner with him, fun fun.

Okay girls, have a good day, and wish all of your peeps a Happy Valentine's Day from me to them! Check back later, Ash

Hey

Shouting out some sugar for my sug-ah's. HAPPY DAY! T-when is your bday and why do I think I missed it? Ashley, cobb salad at Ca pizza? YOU ARE A MANIAC NO JOKE! T-feeling you today a lot. Almost embarrassed to say it after my "revamp" early this week but circles??? OH YAH! I am dizzy from them. Today was Olive Garden for lunch and a Starbucks that was NOT low fat. Dinner is junk, and though she passed on buying me chocolates and still bought the flowers (dammit, I told her not to!) sweet treats are ALL AROUND including cookies that are the best ever, made local w/ icing that is better than sex. Not really, but close.

T- want to talk about somethings and Ash, I had a dream w/ you in it...must talk more but someone's at the door.
