Good job on skipping pizza! I had a real hankering for pizza too!! But, I went to the restaurant instead and had E make me a Chicken Mediteranian salad. It is my very fave salad, mixed greens, artichoke hearts, feta, kalamata olives, a few pieces of tomato, grilled chicken, and super yummy balsamic vinegrette. Don't know how many carbs are in balsamic vinegar, I think more than reg because it has a slight sweet taste. T do you know? Well it was yum and way better than pizza. I think over these 2 months of eating LC, pizza is the thing that I have thought of most, darn! Oh well, in time I will be able to enjoy that too, in mod.

Well, my averaged results of last weeks eats were as follows.
Average per day
942 cals
96 proteins
48 fats
31 carbs
9 fibers
96oz H2O
I am going to try to stick to these numbers this week and see if they are my magic numbers. How great if they are! To actually find out what REALLY works for my body to lose fast, cool! Ok, enough of me, I have blabbed plenty!

Jina, I am missing you today, must be a busy day. Talk to ya tomarrow girls! I am planning a hike for Monday, so I will check-in in the morning but be gone in the afternoon.

Sunday

Hi girls. Looks like I missed a lot yesterday! Work was long, and annoying - still waiting on TOM---now feeling more bloat and insatiable hunger. Very depressing.

I know why I am fat. I know how to change it and I know everything I would have to do to be the size/number I want to be! Its one meal, day, choice at a time...there will be slips and stumbles and triumphs and joy's all along the way. Yes, I know this.

It doesnt ever make the food any less attractive, the beer go down any better/worse...etc.
If I could do it, I would have done it. I have done everything in my life to the best of my ability. This weight is my demon. My ONE HUGE thing I cant get under control.
I have tried every diet-I know almost all of them to the letter but have never ever followed through. Why is that exactly?

I love cupcakes as much as I love fashion and I love eating and drinking as much as I want to be thin! It is 100% a battle of wills I fight internally and externally every single day.
SO, I just keep coming back here to you girls, hoping it will hold me accountable enough to make a real change. I don't know.
Realizing yesterday was exactly 12 weeks til NC and that I am NOW over the 50 pounds I swore to lose in November?!?!?!?!?!???!
Its a lot to take in. My addictive personality is hard to live inside. Who else works out and then eats 4 cookies right after?!??!
Its a serious problem. I need to start treating myself like I have a real addiction.....otherwise, I dont know if I will ever change.
I need to go for now.
I am more venting and talking out loud...not looking for sympathy-more understanding I guess...hoping I am not the only one that feels like this.
Love you girls!
Ash- you are so there. You doing what you did last week is the key to you losing the rest of your weight. T-better choices=one step closer.
good job girls!

Jina, all of us here understand and don't ever feel like you are alone. I am deff a food addict, and although I am doing well, it is still a battle. This TOM thing is throwing you a bit off course I think, so don't worry. I love ya girl, big hugs! Ash

just finished up 45 minutes cardio with weights

I wasn't originally going to do the whole 45, but the longer I went the better I felt about doing it. That happens to me evertime. Well my tallies for the day are measuring up right where I want them to be. It was fun to have numbers to work towards!

Here's what I ate and am planning to eat for dinner:
1/2 Chicken Medi salad
1 cup Hot and Sour soup
Spicy shrimp salad with cheddar on top
1 Boca burger on lettuce with Ranch, 2/3cup Soy slender

T- how was your day? See ya later girls, Ash

MON

Hello girls! I'm so sorry I haven't logged in. I've just been busy being a social bug. I was going to log on last night and then I got side tracked. Jeannie spent the weekend here and I took her home (her car is in the shop) and she lives in OC..50 miles from me so we spent the morning together and went to lunch (don't worry was good) Here's what I ate today..

B - 2 eggs 1 corn tortilla/burrito (running out the door)
L - salmon and zucchini
D - filet mignon n spinach

I ate 2 choc chips cookies today but I am not going to beat myself up about it. I will continue on.

I hope you girls had a good day...talk soon.

T.

Tuesday

Hello.
Hope you two are well. T-glad to see you didn't do too bad the weekend w/ Jeannie. That is HARD!

Yesterday I finished the day w/ roast and cold shrimp.
I jogged for 13 minutes last night! . It is getting so much easier. Feel myself kicking it up now, I will be in the 240's by Friday.

If I only have 11.5 weeks til NC, I have to stay really strict. I wasn't even hungry last night....didn't touch any food after 6:30 pm.
My muscles are fatigued today-especially the arms, but will do again today and jog tonight.

Check in later.

I have been super hungry today and I don't know why...I ended up eating a carrot/zucchini muffin for lunch w/a glass of nf milk and a handful of pistachio nuts. I know this isn't horrible but it sure isn't good. I'm having a hard day guys...

Mid day

Hey! T- just move on from it. When you have a craving that just wont let up-just give in and get on with it. Maybe having those cookies started the trend.

You did the bike, now let's get back to business.

Jogged for 15 minutes at lunch ... the getting easier part is really exciting.
Workout for arms again too.
Will jog at home tonight, for 15 min.
do ab work too.
Break: 2hb eggs Lunch: steak Dinner: roast/shrimp (yes again)

PS: lost almost 3 inches this month. will measure again feb. 15.

Things are going great for me.
Where is my Ashley!??!?

Hello Girls!

Yesterday the **** was great. Not as hardcore as I would have liked, gotta slow down for the little ones but, we did do about an hour and half hike, I am thinking it was about 3 miles, some big hills! It was cold though. Last night I told E that the one thing that I had been thinking about was pizza, since starting WOE, so he said "let's have pizza tonight!" So we did. I had way too much and felt like a whale, the scale went up, but today I feel like I have my power back, pizza isn't on my mind. So I figure, it was one of my tricks for my metabolism, today I am back to being good. This morning 2 poached eggs and a chicken breast. Oh.....the biggest thing, I woke up early, at 6am, got all dressed for Curves and then got to the door and we had snow everywhere and it was still falling big time! I was so peeved! So instead of just going back to bed, E woke up early(really really early for him ) and we did an hour of cardio and weight work! I felt so good. E had to go to work to do the ordering so we all piled in the car and ploughed our way over to La Prov. I was so glad we had a 4x4 now!! Saw way way too many cars and vans stuck in ditches and strewn across the freeway! We got back around 11 and went for a big walk in the snow and then built an amazing snowman. I was sweating enough to have to take off my jacket! We were out there for 4 hours! We must have burnt good calories. Just had some caesar salad with chicken and tea, have to get bundled up again to go take pics, will post them later.

Jina I am IMPRESSED that you ran for 13 minutes and then 15!!!!!!!! WHOA!!!!! You go! I haven't run for a week already, have been lazy to get out in the cold with the kids . I am so glad you are feeling better!

T-Good job on not blowing woe over weekend and not to worry about the muffin, hey it was carrot/zucchini, how much healthier could a muffin get. Good job on keeping up with the bike!!!

I love you girls!! And I love posting on here! Thanx so much for all the support. Can't wait to hear more about you days! :smooch Ashley

annoyed today

Hi Ash..I hear you on the scale jumping up. Why is that? This is my frustration. Ok..so say you cheat..have a couple slices of pizza..or a hamburger..why in the world does the scale go up? My husband can eat a horse for dinner and his weight doesn't go up a pound or two in the morning? I can understand stalling your weight loss but gaining just from a simple cheat? I find it SO aggravating. Anyway, today was a long hard day for me..and I didn't do as well as I should but I did get in 1 hour of exercise but I don't even know if that helped. I ate too many carbs today.

Dinner I had a big chicken caesar salad and some pineapple slices.

Tomorrow will be a much better day for me.

Hope you to see you both later.....grumpy T

Jumping scale

Yes, it does really bite that the scale jumps for such a simple thing as a piece of pizza (or two ), but I guess that is my punishment for eating so badly all my life. Maybe if I hadn't eaten horribly all my life I would recover better from a carb overdose? Oh well, it will get better I keep telling myself when I get to the maintain part. Never fear, we must push forward!! Onward and upward! Ash

Good Morning!

I hope today is a good one for the three of us! Ashley, thanks for always replying to my posts - it means a lot to me, after all...if it didn't - I wouldn't post it!

The 3 inches should have been more, but I should have been more diligent. That shouda-woulda-coulda stuff has no place here. After rereading my pathetic post from Sunday I realize that just doesn't get me anywhere. SO what I have been fat my entire adult life, so what Kate is over 100 pounds thinner than me, so what I am the "fat sister", so what I have to struggle everyday w/ food.
I am healthy, blessed beyond belief and in perfect health. I lose sight of the small things I take for granted all the time. Enough of that crap. When I have a little melt down again I will just repeat to myself my old stand by "this too shall pass" because ya know what? IT ALWAYS DOES!
Dwelling on the scale stalling or a cheat sending us off the cliff for the day is a waste of time. Get back to it, and we are sure to succeed.
That pizza? Come on, you absolutely can tolerate a dinner like that every once in a while and not suffer any real damage. And, let's face it-what is life w/o pizza? If I stayed 100% til goal I would go insane and take everyone in my life w/ me.
We have to enjoy things like pizza once in a while, or a muffin, or 2 cookies. That doesn't make us failures or cheaters it makes us HUMAN.
SO! Today is hb eggs, tuna for lunch, roast for dinner, or maybe steak....and jogging arm training and ab work.
Ash- try this Russian twist. Sit w/ legs half bent lean back until your abs are contracted hold your core in real tight, extend your arms straight out and together, palms together and twist as far as you can to the left then right. I did these last night.....I am dying here this morning. It's a keeper.
Off I go to do some actual work...funny, when you are on the clock they actually expect you to WORK!
ps- great job w/ hike and snow man. where are those pics?!??!

Good a.m. J and A

I hear ya Jina..and I raise you a good day. I deal with the same issues of being the fat sister and having a thin partner. I don't have low self esteem but I obviously haven't been too good to myself. Anyway, we have nowhere else to go but up..

B - 2 eggs and handful blueberries
L - tuna salad - no mayo
D - chicken n asparagus
S - protein shake if needed

White morning, again, no school

Good Morning! Still white outside everywhere! Another long day in the snow with the kids I am sure. It was great though yesterday, we had fun, we were outside for a total of 7 hours, I didn't think about food at all while we were out, and it was good exercise all that walking. The scale is almost down to where it was last Friday, gotta push it so I don't have to log it in as a gain for the week. :-)

Jina, thanx for the words of encouragment! It is so great to have people tell you it's okay for being human. On other diets I would have surly given up by now, but thanx to you, I am stickin' to my guns! Hugs! I am going to try that new twist you posted about, it looks like a killer, I can picture it already.

I love those little tickers, they are so cute! Good spying them on the web Jina! Now I need to figure out how to get them to show up. I'll ask around today, maybe in the chat room.

I have no idea what we'll eat today, I was going to go to the grocery store yesterday, but that was the plan before I woke up to snow. So now the fridge it getting bare-er and bare-er, should've gone yesterday when we were out and about with the SUV but the store is on a huge hill so, oh well. Maybe a LONG ass walk to the store today. We walked to the McD's to take the kids for cheap happy meal day last night, just walking those 6 blocks, we all slipped on our butts a bunch. :-D

Okay, Pictures

Kids with the fake looking snow man, everybody kept asking if it was real cause it is so round, we cheated and used knives to carve it smooth.

And the summit of our hike, too bad it was so foggy, but through the fog you can see Mt. St. Helens, no steam this day either, bummer. if it hadn't been so foggy, you could see 2 other mountain ranges.

mid day check in

Hey girls.
Awesome to hear we are all doing well today. I ate more for lunch then expected. Had some lunch meat and pork rinds w/ my tuna. Hard as I try I cant do w/ just meat and eggs. Finally started period today. I hope like hell the weight (water) comes off by Friday! I feel like I should be rockin a big # this week.

Thinking steak for dinner, though nothing sounds good now.
T-how is that bike? Do you get into yoga, pilates or any other gentle type of strength training? It really helps me to feel leaner and so much stronger for the cardio I have noticed.

Will peek in later after exercise. Kate just went to rent Texas Chainsaw Massacure (the new one - just out Tues.)!! I love scary movies!!
Will pretend to eat the popcorn and candy.

Ash-enjoy that snow, your snowman rocks! That is the cutest picture!! No wonder why you like to hike so much, that scene is gorgeous! Dont worry about the weigh in- I know you'll be fine!!
Miss Stela is awake, talk soon.
Love-me

Lunchtime

I had tuna too. I've been curbing my appetite with lots of water today. I'm sure that's part of my slow weight loss. I just haven't been putting enough in. Jina..I LOVE scary movies too..great day for one..at least here in L.A...it's cold and drizzly. Yes I do LOVE yoga and pilates..I believe these are two best workouts out there. It's just that I feel so out of shape..once I drop about 20 I'll definately add it to my routine no doubt! Ash..your kids are so cute all bundled up..great snowman too... and I've noticed you've been doing alot of walking..that is much of your success. So far I'm on track..bike done and weightlifting/treadmill this afternoon.
