I have 80 pounds to lose as well. Although I am not following the Atkins diet, I am watching my carb intake as well as my calories. I would love to keep you both on track and give you the motivation and determination that I know everyone needs. Including myself. I wish we could just eat anything, and never gain a pound. First ,I want to tell you I'm not always like this. I'm just very down right now. I'm not really sure why. Just cant get my self on track again. I have heard good things about curves. What do you like about it? Have you lost, or have you just started? Tell me a little about you guys. Just sent you an e-mail. I'm sorry that you're feeling so down. Hopefully your spirits will lift and you will feel much better soon. I've had those kinds of days before. Mostly it's during "that time of the month." Which, I won't even go there since it's bad news all the way around for me for about 10 days during that time. Doesn't make for the diet to go any easier either. What I love about Curves is not only the workout you get in 30 minutes, but also the people there. The Curves that I belong to is a small facility. The employees are very nice as well as the members. It's hard to believe that just 30 minutes 3 times a day would work, but it does. I'm living proof. After 6 weeks I had lost 12 pounds and 17.5 inches. I love it. I do need another weigh-in, measurement day. I should have had it a couple weeks ago, but I was on vacation. I actually look forward in going to Curves on my days (Mon, Wed, Fri). I normally go in the morning. Only because if I go in the mornings, I stick with my healthy eating all day. Kind of keeps me on track all day. I guess because I feel that if I eat something that I'm not supposed to, I'll screw up my workout for the day. Whatever works for me. ![]() I better get going for now. Dishes need to be put in the dishwasher. I hope you start feeling like yourself soon. Take care & write soon. I just wanted to invite you ladies to a thread called the SOC (Starting Over Challenge). It's a fairly small group, but we have all fallen off the wagon & are trying to get going again. There are great words of encouragement there & just being able to post your struggles & get feedback is so nice! Anyways, if you're interested, just go to the challenge board and look for SOC July 12-18, we'd love to have you!!
