Alabama newbie

Hi, I just started Atkins last Thursday. I will have to say this is one diet that I think I can mantain. I have been walking every evening and am thinking about joining curves. I can't take diet pills of any sort due to problems with clots, heart condition (due to my heavy size- will get better with weight loss).
I am on several different medications and was recently diagnosed with PH (Pulmonary Hypertension). I NEED to get my weight down, no more choices it's a MUST for survival. It's going to be a hard and difficult fight and I could sure use lots and lots of moral support.

Smokerise? My sister-in-law and her family live in smokerise.
I live in Warrior, we actually just moved from Baldwin County -- Gulf Shores.
Nice to see someone from my neck of the woods!

I am off exit 287 (Blount Springs exit). Do you work in Birmingham?

No, I am a stay at home Mom of 2 boys ages 7 and 11.
I live off the McDonald's exit in Warrior.
My sister-in-law lives off the Blount Exit also on Moss Rock Circle.
Her inlaws live on the main street through that section of Smoke Rise the curve with the big pond.
I use to go to Blount Springs alot when I was a younger and go to the falls now they have houses there. Use to go to the Sulphur Springs and go swimming near the falls too. I use to go with my now hubby we've been together since I was 15.
It's nice to see someone so close to home.
