Hit a plateau & needs some tips. Got any?

After losing 43 lbs. I began to stop losing weight no matter how much I walk or ride...MORE! So I have started trying to cut back on bread, pasta, and sugar too. Can anyone out there give me any more tips on how to Break Through this Plateau or what ever it is I am stuck on? Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated. Hey Jennifer

It sounds to me like your not really doing the low carb thing. I would suggest just cutting out some of your carbs like pasta and white or any processed bread. One thing I was told when I first started losing was that your body loses the same way it gains. So if you plateaued at this weight going up, you will do the same thing going down. Don't give up!! Just stick to it and see what happens.

Hi Stacy, You are right..I am probably doing the low carb thing all wrong. I never really found out how to do it the right way. I have sort of played it by ear doing a mix of Atkins and South Beach Diet. I thought if I took away something like bread first and then pasta and so forth, that eventually I would start noticeing a difference. Which I have, don't get me wrong. I just think I have allowed too much fruit and nuts before my 2nd week was up. I guess I am supposed to do everything Cold Turkey and I haven't. At least I'm not gaining though.
