UK penpals wanted
Hi everyone.
How many of you out there are based in the UK? I think we need to get a group together to support each other.... at least then we will all be eating our dinner at the same time!!!! This site is wicked, as is all the people on it. Lets do this together. I started doing Atkins just over 2 weeks ago, I have lost 14lbs so far, I still have a long way to go, but so far it does not feel like hard work, in fact I am actually enjoying it. |

Hi can I join this UK thread?
Im from the NW have been doing this for about 3 1/2 weeks and have lost 18lbs!!!!! Love this site but it would be gret to chat about lc products that we can buy in our shops rather than just drolling. Also Im a bit jealous of the range of fast food places that do lc in the states. Maybe one day the UK will catch up? ![]() |

Hey.
Welcome aboad the UK LC train.... If the 3 of us keep this thread going then hopefully new UK buddies will get on board. I know exactly what you mean with regards the LC food in takeaways, we will probably catch on in about 2010!! So far the best one I have found is the burger king chicken salad. It is actually a really nice change, with warm strips of chicken And at 6 grams of carb it wont break the bank. Anyone know of any others? PS. At least its good that boots have started to stock Atkins stuff, I actually quite like the Advantage bars. ( At least they are better than scoffing a chocolate bar!!)

Hi again
The only L/C fast food I have had is a burger without the bun, excitting huh? Bacon double cheese burger. Next time I will have to try the warm chicken salad. Have to tell you that I ordered a stack of stuff from a UK lc shop which arrived today so I can at least taste some of the stuff that is discussed on this board. So far I have tried the davinci chocolate syrup. Its fantastic and I can imagine very useable. I only bought the small bottle. Defo thinking of buying some other flavours. Love the idea of keeping this post going for us Ukies. We need the suport. Hope you both had a good day and stayed on track. Im fighting the lc goodies every step of the way. Good idea o buy a big bunch of it hey? Love JOOLES |

I have not tried any of the syrups at all. I am struggling with desserts, my partner insists on eating ice cream and pringles!!! As I have finished the induction bit, thought I would add some cherries in....not sure if they are good or bad, but I really enjoyed them!!! Reaf in a sunday mag that if yoo put an Atkins bar in the microwave for a quick blast it is like eating hot chocolate fudge cake...mmm might just have to try it!! Any other suggestions for desserts? |

Hi Fraggle
I have just made lc chocolate custard with divincis. Its in the oven now baking away and then I will chill it in the fridge. Not sure how it will turn out. It looked a bit gloopy before . Didnt follow a recipe just thought I would wing it! Dont think that was a good idea but we will see. I will let you know how it turns out. I also want to try the breakfast danish recipe that I saw on the boards so will try that tomorrow, this time I will follow a recipe I think. Hope you had a good day. I havent been too bad but really need to STAY AWAY from the l/c chocies. Just cant seem to stop. Love SARAH PS Have you tried any ideas from here? Im not the best cook in the world so need real simple nd quick ideas. |
