hello everyone

I have been reading all the posts , i can relate to all of you. I had lost 40 lbs. But still need to lose 15 and it seems to be stalled. Truthfully i haven't really tried. But i am back on induction and i am doing pretty well except for today. a slice of chocolatey dessert i made. i know , why did i make it? well my family isn't on Atkins, just me. So i have to still cook them "regular" meals they are used too. i made a promise to myself to get on the lcf site three times a day, or every time i am hungry. That way i will really think before i want to eat the wrong thing. Thanks , you guys you are so inspirational to me, i can't even tell you how much. good luck and God bless

Congrats!!!

Congrats on your weight loss thus far!

I can totally relate to the 'still have to prepare the same 'ole same 'ole for the family who isn't following this WOE. Now having said that... since I've been working on becoming healthier, my family is benefiting all the way around as well! We're all eating healthier 'cause I'm not preparing 'as much' of the stuff as I used to. Sometimes I'm preparing a protein and two types of vegetables (no, not potato ) and they don't bat an eye! I doubt I could get away with it 'everyday' at present, but hey...maybe five days out of the seven, eventually! I prepare lunches for my 3 girls and at least two out of the five of them are breadless. Takes a little bit of creativity some days, but they like the change just fine! ie: wrap a cheese string in a slice of turkey breast and put a toothpick through it. A couple of those takes place of the 'sandwhich'. Cucumbers/peppers on the side. Yummy lunch if I do say so myself!

The cake... we have to make room for 'these moments' 'cause it's all a part of 'real living'. So you had a piece. Don't beat yourself up for it... I hope you enjoyed it! As long as it isn't an every day or week for that matter, occurance, you're doing just fine!

Keep up the good work!!!
Cheers!
Lyn

p.s. I agree, this forum is wonderful for motivation and support! Thanks to 'everyone's thoughts' out there!!!
