Hi everyone I am new and need help....

Hi everyone I am new here and trying my best. I was going strong for a lil over two wks and then bam I have fallen on my face. Oh gosh and I keep saying I am going to get back on track bu,having such a hard time doing so. I get bored quick w/eating salads feel as though I may turn into a rabbit somedays. I was wondering if there is someone here that could either thru email or messenger that could support me for a week or two to help me get back on track and possinbly give me menu ideas. I have to and want to loose my weight. I need help..

Hi Dee66,
Well, you've done the right thing, with good intentions for 2 wks, and when you have problems....coming here to this board and asking for help. That's what we are here for. To help each other learn how to fit this WOE into each of our lifestyles, so we can live a longer healthy life.

I'm fairly new in here myself...compare to lots of others.... but, I'm making a HUGE (no pun intended ) difference in my life. I've finally taken control of my own choices. And I CHOOSE to (finally) lose weight once and for all and be healthy for the rest of my life.

It's really nothing anyone can tell you or convince you of. It's something that happens in your mind and your heart. When YOU have finally "had enough" of all those things you hate about your body (everyone's list is different), and choose NOT to have those things slap you in the face everytime you see yourself...or think about it. I actually started paying attention to how many times a day it crossed my mind that I hated being over weight...and every time something happened that Wouldn't have happened if I were smaller. (such as getting into my car when another car is parked close by...and I have to squeeze in). I counted each time, and was amazed at how many times a day I "hated" the way I was. (although I had a wonderful self image...other than my size)When YOU get sick and tired of being FAT. When you start thinking that "Hey, I could have those cookies... OR.... I could lose weight." "I could have that pizza now....OR....wait 20 minutes and think about what that pizza's going to do to my body......and then if you still want it.....have it. Cause you're not ready yet to make The Change. The whole thing is a "mind game" that I play with myself. I KNOW I can have anything I want to eat, anytime I want it. But, NOW my choice is to be SMART about my choices, and make those choises with full knowledge of what I'm doing (unlike when I ate Everything All the Time!!) (that's how I got in such terrible shape to begin with!). It's just a lifestyle of making concious choices....and knowing WHY you are making those choises.

Gee.... I didn't mean to ramble on and on.....

Guess what I was trying to say is..... If you need help.... I would be pleased to offer my expert advise
anytime.

Hi, Thanks Charlee your right I know I have to be ready. LOL I always feel like I am,super charged and ready to go and then crash ouch I fall. I have to get my head right first I suppose and think about myself. One thing getting back on track is I have been focusing on alot going on here at home w/the kids and all. One thing I wish I could do is find more variety during the induction phase. I hate cooking so when I look at those receipe ideas I'm like uggh. I would like to find something simple to make. I make dinner as it is for my family of 6,so I guess I just don't feel like playing chef in the kitchen all night. Thanks for your supportive advice,makes alot of sense. I will keep in mind what you have said here as I go along.

Great Dee!

I will help you when you are really ready...with some ideas that I've used....since I don't like to cook that often either....and mostly choose easy/quick things to eat with occational 'real recipe cooked meals'. It CAN be done.

Keep me on your buddy list....and just let me know whenever you want my support or advice. I'll be here for you, on any subject...... (it's free!! )

However, just one statement for you to think about. I assume you have had this weight problem for a while, right? Well, so did I. And when I was the age you are now...in the position you are in now (kids, family, extremely busy life, etc), I did NOT do anything about my weight. (at least not sucessfully). So.... I am 58 years old right now (will be 59 in a couple of weeks _). I'm just telling you this so I can ask you a question.....

Dee....do YOU WANT to be 58 years old and STILL facing this SAME PROBLEM!!??? (or more likely.....even More Weight, by then!!)????

Just Think About it. The time will pass...and eventually You WILL be 58 years old one day. ....

THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!
