My naughty night before my start
YES, shame on me, I have to post this message cause I am new and yes, I am working my way around the site quite well. I have to confess on my naughtyness. I am starting this low carb eating thing on 4-12-04 which is tomorrow (at time of posting), well, my 16 year old came home from her Dads today after Easter and brought lots of candy, well, I and my boyfriend attacked her bag, and did I attack it. I was craving so bad and now I start my new way of life tomorrow. Has anyone else ever done this knowing they were starting a new way of life? I am an addict with sweets and I am really going to give this my all.. I just want to know if I am the only stupid one out there. I have my before pics and I can't wait to post them, yet my scanner is out of commision and I am soon going to get a digital camera with new puter so then I will be able to post my before/durings/and after pics when I get that far. I am enjoying viewing the site and all the great posts and pics. Wish me luck on my first day of my new life..........

Thanks for the Support, dying for SUGAR
Hi friends, I just wanted to thank you for those whom replied to my post and sent me emails, I was in bed all day with a migraine. I think the loss of sugar is affecting my brain. LOL
I have trouble with migraines anyway and then to do this, I do take a multiple vitamin but not faithfully and I am faithfull with a B-Complex vitamin on a daily basis, I am not doing the straight atkins, I am doing a modified version. I have to say that I have not had any sugar for the first 24 hours, and then tonight after popping motrin and tylenol all day I gave in and ate 8 oreo cookies, but my head pain has now been gone for over an hour and I feel much better, I tried to suffer it out all day but I was starting to get pretty pukey so I gave in to the sugar, does anyone else have any ideas for the headaches, I did cheat a bit during the 24 hours and had a few strawberries and a slice of cantalope, and that I know was a cheat and had its own natural sugars, I have not had any breads, pasta, rice, anything like since I started my own little modified version, but then the cookies tonight............I need a push and sugestions for the headaches. ![]() |

I usuallly take tylenol and/or motrin before I go to bed and when I get up in the mornings like a daily ritual,,,, I too get major sugar cravings usually near the end of the month...and it doesnt help matters any when the other half is sitting beside me eating all that he wants......I am having a hard time but I really want to do this I think that it will be much easier when the weather breaks..... and let me tell you I really cant wait....even if it is to just walk my four month old around down by the river.......well good luck... be looking forward to hearing from you ......and try to keep motivated....for all of us......

I say you try taking advil before you go to bed. Also, leave some and a glass of water on your bed side so that you can take them first thing before you even get out of bed, that way they are working their magic before you get out of the shower! By the way, if you can stick it out with out cheating for maybe 7 days at most, all of those symptoms go away....I promise! GOOD LUCK and STAY STRONG!
