Looking for fellow Low Carbers

Hi, I started LC'ing again on march 27th 2004, after stopping for a month

I started in Jan 1 2004 by feb 1 2004 I had lost 20 lbs and 12.5 inches.then a BIG fat stoll hit me grrrr

Wishing I had not quiet, ticked off at myself. And this induction the weight just does not seem to be coming off at all...makes me want to scream.

I am from Canada, female 34 years old.
I do not use products and make everything from scratch, I eat very simple foods. I exercise a far amount, tai chi, yoga, pilates, walk, and I bike. yet NOTHING I also post on 2 other threads, but I am home all day (not working due to back problems) so I get bored. and will yak with anyone

Hi Canadian Girl!

I've been low carbing for about year since last march and would like to be your buddy! !

I try not to use products either and make most things from scratch and also exercise pretty much. (daily - walk away the pounds and tae bo)

I work at a school but hey spring break is next week and so yak away.

My weight loss is pretty slow too and I also had a long stall from January until March until I started looking a LITTLE bit at calories and it kicked in again.

Look forward to talking with ya!

Wow you lost 100 lbs is that right?
how do you find tai bo?
I am thinking of adding that as a switch for me. is it high cardio?
School teacher, for what grades?
I was a Veggie years ago, stopped though as I was craving meat all the time.
well hope to hear from you again soon

Hey CG!

Hope you are having a losing weekend!

Yeah that TAe bo is pretty high intensity cardio stuff, which you would probably be used to doing all those pilates and biking! I have tried pilates but had a really hard time lifting my big butt up in the air like the directions said so I think I will try them when I am lighter!

Yes I have lost almost 100lbs, just past the 90lb mark right now and can't wait to hit that 100.

I teach high school art at a school on the west side of Chicago. It's not too bad there, I enjoy it.

It must be hard for you to have to stay at home! have you been able to think of stuff to keep you busy?

best wishes

that is so incredible how is it on Vegie LC have you lost any hair from it or anything?
I have kept up with what I used to do, cooking/baking, I do bread and baked goods for some people here for $ and that helps me from totally going insane, I live in a really small place 500 pop, and not close to a magor area 6000 pop 45-60 min away, so people seem to like fresh baked things so as long as I dont buckle and cheat and my body allows me to do it I will.

I am in saskatchewan Canada.

west chicago, is that a good area or what?
Found out no easter dinner this weekend which is kind of nice...was not wanting to argue with bfs family about just eating Turkey ..they put sugar in everyting. how are you?

Hi there Canadiangirl
I just wanted to say Hi and glad to meet you, I am starting this low carb eating thing tomorrow (4-12-04). I am so excited and am happy to be here, reading your post kind of puts a little bug in my butt. I tried this about 2 months ago and within 1 1/2 weeks I had taken off 7 pounds, but I have such a problem with the sweets and it killed me. I have my livein boyfriend going to do it with me this time and I think that will help me out quite a bit, also my puter was broke down during the last time. I have added you to my buddy list and hope to chat with you sometime.

Hey energee and canadiangirl!

Hope the two of you had a good Easter!! Probably best not to have a big dinner though. I ate way too much!

Yes candiangirl, at first I did lose some hair about 3 months into it. I guess that is common though, I found a lot of threads about it being a shock to your body. I guess it is a shock too, the first time I ever tried to lose weight! It stopped after a while though.

That must be hard doing all that baking! I don't know if I could handle smelling that all day!! I have tried a few good recipes though for some various muffins and breads that have been good.

Energee girl best of luck to you with your start on your plan!

have a great monday all!

Hi Energee and etoiles

I hope everyone had a great weekend my easter dinner was a bomb...did not have any..no cheating at all, I went to bf's parents house and they had batterd/coated chicken in somekind of sauce, potatoes, carrotes cooked with SUGAR, salad with a dressing already on it, and devil eggs with sugar.
So nothing for me to eat.

I just drank water and watched the fights on tv
Then when I was leaving....they tried to give me about 5 lbs of chocolate

Why would they do that after I ate NON of their food for dinner?
well I ran home just about, (they live behind us 2 houses over)
opened a can of tuna drained it and eat it right out of the can lol

I am down to 192 today and still in ketosis and I am happy.

Congrats on resisting Canadiangirl!!! The force is strong in you!

I didn't cheat either, we brought a low carb veggie side dish and lc cheesecake with nut crust to my grandma's and I brought my own meat substitute so that is pretty much what I ate, along with one other veggie side dish.

had to believe that that family puts sugar in everything, even the deviled eggs! At elast they didnt lie to you about it!

congrats on your woosh too! You'll be in the 180s before you know it!

I have seen an egg recipe I think before with splenda but it also had spinach and some other ingredients for deviled eggs so go figure.

So how has your loss been lately?? mine has not been too good since my hubby made a cheesecake for Easter and we are polishing it off this week!!

Hey CG!

I have been on track after we polished off those cheesecake slices!!

Have been trying to do some additional exercises too since I have off this week (spring break)

My weigh in day is Saturday so we'll see how it goes. How often do you weigh in? I used to weigh in daily but it started to irk me so now it's just once a week!

Hi u both how are u doing
I am on the sayanora carbo , and kiss thread, so I weigh in on monday and just use that weight on my KISS thread so just once a week, on mondays I also do all my measurements and put them in www.mybodycomp.com so I can keep track of them.

I miss cheese cake..decided that I will not eat anything like that..can't I am on induction and KISS untill atleast 20 lbs are gone..then I will see.

U can always feeze slices of cheesecake and take out a piece now then ...I would make them really small pieces though

I am sore today, and was yesturday..I am pushing myself harder and hope that I will get used to a harder workout soon. deeper stretches and all that.
Hope u 2 are doing great
remember drink ur WATER WATER and more water

Congrats CG you are doing great!!!

I have been a real loser and went up this week one pound. Ever since I passed the 70 pound mark or so it has gone pretty slowly every 10lbs so the last 10 lbs went pretty quick so I think it will be a little tough for me to really break into the 180s.

Am exercising daily though and watching portions so hopefully something will come out of it!

send that woosh fairy this way!

Hi CG!!

It has been a pretty busy week here, 3rd quarter grades were due and it took quite a few afternoons after school to get those straightened out, as well of one afternoon/evening as a parent conference day.

Your weight loss has been great and very impressive!! Way to go!

I have my weigh in day tomorrow so we'll see how things have turned out but I'm not too optimistic to be honest.

have a good one!

my loss is still at a standstill right above the 180s. I had the same thing going into the 190s so I guess I will just kind of stall every 10lbs or so from now on.

I will keep going though!! Am exercising 45-1hr each day so hopefully that helps.
