Need a buddy that is on Curves diet/doing curves?
Hi! I am new here. My name is Connie and I have like 150 pounds to loose. I am currently enrolled in Curves and I am wanting to start the Curves diet plan. Is ther anyone here interested in being a pen pal that can kick me in the rear and be my accountability to go and do my circuit each day and to eat Low carb? I would like to do the same for someone else. I just need someone to do this with.
I live in the Greenville SC area and so if any of you are near me and would like to do this together, let me know that too. I appreciate your help and I look forward to talking with you guys an the board to learn all about this low carb thing. I am a MAJOR carb addict though, and I have PCOS so my struggle has been a tough one. Thanks again! ![]()

Curves Really makes the difference for me
Hi, I'm new here too, and I go to Curves at least 3 times a week. It really makes a difference for me. I've lost over 26 lbs, and have another 50 to go. Besides helping take the wieght off, it also makes me feel SO MUCH BETTER. I have stamina and flexability again that I haven't had in ages ( as a 'couch potato').
Plus, it always makes me feel good about myself when I go to Curves. Its one of those things i do Just For ME. I haven't used their diet however. So, I can't help you about that.... I'm just doing a regular Atkins, low-carb program on my own. But, I'd be glad to urge you along, if you'd like me to. And I'd enjoy you doing the same for me. I am 58 and live in Southern California. |

curves diet/workout...
Are you still doing the curves diet and workout? I have been doing it for a few weeks and have lost 10 lbs so far... I would be interested in talking to more people who are doing it as well!

Curves Diet
I had gone to Curves for 1 year, and did their diet, which is the one I am going to go back on. I don't go to Curves But i will tell you if you go at least every other day
like Curves says to go, you WILL lose the pounds and inches. I lost 20 inches in one month going there. I would like to be a pen pal to you . When did you start there? |

I am happy to hear that you have had good results. I started Curves back in March and my loss has been slow until I started the diet. Then I lost 9 pounds in that month, but now I am on a little break since the diet class ended. Amazingly, I haven't really gained any weight back in the past three weeks, but I know I have to go back to phase 1 again soon or I will. I think part of the reason I didn't lose as much as I had hoped during the diet class is that I was eating those candy bars with sugar alcohols in them... needless to say, I think they stalled me a bit so I will have to stop eating them. Have you had that problem? I have a friend who has been doing this all with me, but due to some other health reasons she is not going to be able to continue. I would love to have a pen pal to help me stay motivated!

CURVES
I joined Curves at the end of March and have had great results. I'm not really doing the Curves diet, although I am following some of it. I'm only allowing myself 60 grams of carbs per day as well as 1200 calories per day. After my first 6 weeks at Curves I had my weigh-in & measurement day. I had lost 12 pounds and 17.5 inches. I get weighed and measured again next Wednesday so hopefully I have done just as well. I love Curves and I am so happy that I joined. I would love to have you as penpals. I love hearing of everyone's success and what they are doing for a healthy way of living. I think it is important that you have inspiration, motivation, and determination to make your weight loss work for you.

I'm a curves chick too
I would like to join your chat. I've been doing Curves since November 2003. I started out at 167 and I'm down to 145. I have to admit that I lost quite a few pounds the first month but the weight didn't really start coming off until I started lc'ing.
I do go to Curves with 2 other woman but I'm the "fatty" and it's kind of discouraging. The one girl is about 120 pounds and the other is about 130. Let's keep in touch and keep each other motivated to workout and eat right. |

Hi Jennz ~
Sorry it's been a few days before I could post. Been busy with housework and yardwork after my husband gets home. I'm so glad that you posted here. I haven't been here for very long. Maybe a couple of weeks? It sounds like you are having great results with Curves. I started out with Curves weighing 226, and at my first weigh-in/measurement day I was down to 214 and had lost 17.5 inches. I was so surprised. I didn't believe my Curves instructor when she told me. She had to actually bring my chart over to me so that I could see for myself. I absolutely love Curves and I don't know what I would do without it now. The girl that I go with drives me nuts. After every workout, she weighs herself. I can't do that. I used to weigh myself once a week (Fridays). At least with weighing once a week, I didn't get discouraged like if I were to do it every day like her. And of course, she gets mad when she doesn't lose anything. There's a big difference between her & I though. I watch my carbs and calories plus go to Curves. She just goes to Curves and eats whatever the heck she wants. I would love to keep in touch with you to keep each other motivated. Not sure if you have yahoo messenger or not, but my ID is lynettemi. Take care & I hope to talk to you soon. Stay Strong, ~ Lynette ~ |
