Anybody from Western NY area?

Love to share low carb experience with someone local. Went from 245lb to 235lb since 2/18/04. Stuck for one week at that weight and getting frustrated.

Hello, I was browsing through this forum because I could also use some support. Granted I only lived in Buffalo for 7 years, but moved to west michigan about 3 years ago and really miss the east, as I live smack dab in the middle of Dutch Christian Reformed land. It is quite different...think Salt Lake City and Mormons. Nothing against it, just different people. I am originally from the Syracuse area.
I have kept off 70lbs. for 2 years, but that has not been easy (of course) but I continue to struggle with playing games with my remaining 10-15 lbs. If you need some support or suggestions as to how I beat some of my plateaus let me know(what worked for me in the course of losing 70 lbs..I had a lot of them!). I could really use help as well. Despite doing this WOE for a long time now...I still battle with my desire to compulsively over eat and could easily find myself back at Lane Bryant if I do not watch it. heathergraham99@aol.com (all lower case letters) i would love to hear from you, heather

Heather I just got down to 233, my problem is I like to eat at night. Even if it is low carb, it still stalls my weight loss. Another thing I cannot give up is the coffee which I think slows down weightloss. If I don't eat at night watching tv I lose much quicker. I hope this helps.

I have really had to watch the coffee intake. I had to make a firm commitment to only have one big cup in the morning, and limit the amount of 1/2 1/2 and splenda I put in it. As far as night cravings go I got really tired of celrey and creme cheese. I suppose I have to get on the computer when I start having cravings.
When I seemed to stall I noticed if I ate 1500cals and up the fat intake it seemed to tug me out of it. To lose weight on traditional diets I could never eat 1500 cals. This diet can get old I will be the first to admit it, but I was able to keep 70 lbs. for 2 years. I am now 10lbs. over my goal weight and I can feel old behaviours (Bread!Sugar!)I have vowed to myself to get back to where I was. Hang in there, we can do it.
What is going to be your motivator today? heather
