2 weeks on Induction. Don't see lbs. coming off

Hi. This is my first post. I was looking for something just like this where I could see how others are doing on low-carb diets. I am almost thru my second week of Induction. But I haven't lost any weight. I think I feel like I am shrinking, but the scale hasn't budged. I keep referring to my books, and I seem to be doing everything right. Mostly, I am extremely tired, irritable and thirsty and have been since a few days into Induction. I wondered if anyone else out there feels like me. I have been drinking all the water they say to, but feel thirsty all the time. But the tiredness bugs me the most. Have experienced some constipation, but in between that I have diarhea. No regular movements. This is pretty much the gyst of the last 2 weeks.

I have been eating eggs and bacon for breakfast, salads and maybe a meat or fish for lunch, cheese or celery & cream cheese for afternoon snack, and then meat dinner with veggies. Just found some low-carb bread and got to enjoy a piece of bread slathered in butter last night!!!!! That was wonderful! Oh .. and I take a vitamin every day, along with calcium & magnesium, potassium, and fish oil with omega 3. (just started that 2 nights ago and I think it's helping in the "movement" department.)

So I am hoping to hear from others out there about how they felt during the early phase and if I should just ride it out longer waiting to lose weight. Might need a pen pal buddy to help keep me going on this. I really want a big plate of spaghetti!

Hi there!
I am new to atkins too. I started on the first of the month. My first two weeks I didn't lose to much so I found this website ( like you looking for help) I got a few suggestions. I was eating the bacon too but someone told me to watch out for the hidden carbs and some sausages have sugar in them. so I changed a few things and now the weight is coming off. I have lost 13 pounds.
you have to becareful with the saladdressings too.
I as well found som low carb bread 4g but I don't think that you are suppose to eat it in induction. Basiclly this is what I eat.
I eat eggs with tea in the morning, either tuna or chicken in a can for lunch with a tablespoon of mayo, and for dinner I eat either chicken or redmeat with a salad and a table spoon of saladdressing. Someone on this website gave me this website fitday.com.... you can enter what you are eating and it will tell you the carbs and hidden sugars ect. Its helped me out so much.
believe me when I say I know exactly how you feel last week I was ready to go get icecream, but I got some help on here so now I am doing good. Ok now that I have written a book....
My name is Jenny please feel free to e-mail me kameron1800@yahoo.com I am a stay at home mom of 2 so when i get free mins I jump on the computer. I look forward to talking to you.

Hello

Ok, first let me say hi to both of you.
Second do not give up! I have to say that while I do the Atkins diet I do not follow it to the letter.
I guess you could call it cheating but I don't because I still only eat about 28grms of carb's a day.
I found sugar free ice cream and it has 9grms, now on the day I want to have it I eat nothin that has carbs, now some may say that it won't work and so on but it does for me.
Another great thing I found is Chicken Sausage. I buy it at Stop & Shop up where I am. I found it had 4 grams for 5 big links.
You are free to e-mail m at lotsosocks@hotmail.com

Stay with it.
Barbara

Sticking together

Hi! I'm here with you betsythegreat!!! I just started and have had close to the same problems you are having. The worst was that horrible feeling of being irritable.

For not losing weight two things that might help is one: start working out. If you can't get to the gym do the crunch exercises that they show on here for the ones to do and get a good pilates tape to learn some of those. I have absolutly no time, but I always try to work out at least ten minutes when I wake up, if I can't go to the gym.
The second is try to mease your inches instead of your weight. I have started a chart where I'm recording my weight, bust, hips, waist each week.

I hope these might help! This is my first time on this diet too, so we'll see!!

If you need any help or just want to chat e-mail me!
