Ok...I am only here briefly . Work has just been nuts lately. So far I can't tell anything regarding my weight my TOM hit me on Friday . I have been pretty good only a couple of very small cheats but I am back on track and so far we'll just have to wait and see.

Rita - I am so glad you are back on the boards! Boy, now that was a test . Sorry I was no help at all.

Diane - I sure wish you were here where it's warm, I can not imagine being that cold .

Arlene - Glad to see you are still with us. I am so sorry about your car wreck . Just try to hang in there things will get better!

I am starting my exercises today, I think its the only way I am going to get the scales moving . I am eating pretty much all low carb however, I did eat some chips and salsa over the weekend and a chicken thigh fried (yes, battered) oh, and some stuffing at my mom's (she fixed me a b-day dinner) but, not real bad all things considered. I could have been real bad. Tonight I am making a tequila lime chicken, minus the tequila... It is all cheese, sour creme and spices with lime juice, but not a lot. My b-fast's are still bacon or sausage and eggs lunch is leftovers from the night before, today that was shrimp. Oh, I did have Subways lowcarb Chicken & Bacon Ranch Wrap...very good and only 8 carbs of course since I don't eat the peppers and lettuce or onions it was even less. I was supprised, I really thought it was going to taste grainy, NOT. Well, I guess I better get back to work. Take care my lowcarb friends. I look forward to seeing your posts soon.

(((((BIG HUGS))))))

PS. I guess Tami is gone I have never heard another thing . I wish there was someway to find out. I am going to try and send something to her hubby so that maybe he will let us know something.

Hi girls!

KK, I hope you get a response from Tami's DH. I have mailed cards (snail mail) and not received them back. I alwasy ask that she let us know she is ok, but no response.

It is a bit warmer here (15), but it's supposed to get bitter cold again this weekend. It seems so warm at 15!!

I get my stitches out tomorrow afternoon (I got 4 stitches from him cutting out the internal stitches that were sticking out). I'm sure it will feel better getting those out.

I am calling my regular Dr. today to see if she will call in a prescription for the yeast in my blood again. I am feeling very tired and over all sick again. It's been going on awhile, but I waited to make sure it wasn't just surgery, etc.

KK, sounds like you're doing great. Happy B-day!! When was the big day?? OK, I need birthdates girls!!

Arlene, glad you're OK, how scarey to be in an accident. I was hit once as a teen, but it was a slow motion slide into me as I was stopped at a light.

Rita, glad you're back with us!!

OK, I really have to run and get ready for work...I'll chat with you soon!

Good Afternoon Ladies.....

Well I must tell you, I made the Tequila Lime Chicken last night for dinner and OMG was it GOOD! I got the recipe from "Top Secret Recipes" it is the Applebee's Tequila Lime Chicken (only without the Tequila) and It was just wonderful. I decided if I were gong to make it and eat it that I had to be carb free for the day to make it legal. You should check it out, it's easy to make and the taste...well, you'll see what I mean! I did my crunches yesterday so today I walk. Work has been totally bizare lately .

Diane - My b-day is/was January 13th, I know Rita's is September 26th, (same as my honey) I don't know Arlene's yet. So, your having a heat wave ...lol It's in the low to mid 60's here, not really bad at all thankfully. I feel for you having to deal with the winters but I know once Spring, Summer and Fall arrive the senery must be breath taking! I'm glad about your stiches..you'll be feeling better before you know it. Hang in there!

Rita - Well woman...what's going on with you these days? Are you enjoying the peace and quiet again...lol I sure miss seeing your posts and the e-mails you use to send me with all of the cute little icons! I look forward to receiving more...hint, hint .

Arlene - I hope you are feeling ok, don't let things get you down, your doing great on the plan and we are all here to help and support each other. Any luck in the job market for you yet? I'll keep sending prayers your way.

Well, I must get back to work so, until tomorrow have a wonderful lowcarb day!

((((((big hugs to my friends))))))

Hi ladies!

Hello to all my low carb friends! It is glad to be back! Things have been busy at my house with everyone being home on a long 4 day weekend. So glad their back to work and school again! LOL I do so enjoy my quiet time alone with just me and my dogs! Well, I was a VERY bad girl over the weekend, eating wise. I gained 4 lbs! Acccck!!!! I about died when I saw the scale!!! I knew I went off a little..but not that much! So, needless to say I'm very mad at myself!!!! I started induction..yet again...yesterday. So far so good, Just taking it one day at a time.

KK- the lime chicken sounded yummy! I know I need to get my butt into gear and email you more often! But, since I got my new email addy, no cute smiley faces anymore! SO, I'll just have to write! LOL Sounds like your doing good! That makes me happy. Oh, happy belated birthday girlfriend! If I had known it was on the 13th I would have sent you a card!!! Bad, bad me! LOL
That is too bad we cant find Tami. I guess she chose not to be "buds" with us anymore. I guess things happen in life like that.

Diane- Are you warming up there yet? hehe So glad to hear your stitches are out! Yipeee! Now what is this about yeast in your blood? I hope your OK!! I have been real tired and blah lately too, not sure what my problem is! Guess I just need to exercise more maybe. Let us know what the doc says. We care! And when is your birthday? KK was right, mine is the same day as her honeys. Small world or what? LOL

Arlene- So sorry to hear about your car accident girl! Scarey stuff isnt it! I've had many many accidents in my life (none of them my fault! honest!) so I know they are very scarey. My hubby (this was just after he asked me to marry him) rear ended me in a snowstorm. His brakes failed! His face was white as a sheet, thinking I'd throw the engagement ring at him and call it off! LOL I was driving a new Dodge hatchback at the time, back window was shattered, snow coming in, me shaking! NOT FUN! but I survived luckily. I hope your doing ok. Hows the low carb eating going? Good I hope. Keep in touch!

Well girls, I gotta run. Take care! Hugs, Rita

Good morning girls!
Sorry I haven't posted for a few days but with the wreck and school starting all at the same time, my leisure time has been limited. I have been staying on plan pretty good and am 1 lb away from my first goal. I had hope to reach that goal by the 17th, but didn't make it. I have decided not to make goals that include time frames becoz if I don't reach the weight by a specific date it brings me down.

I definitely have to plan better on school days as I ended up going 9 hours without eating yesterday and really felt awful by the time I was able to eat and ate way more at one sitting than I have eaten since starting LC. That and I bought my first LC snack, an lc ice cream bar that had 13 carbs. I have to admit it was really good....too good in fact. Now I have a box with 6 more bars that are sitting in the freezer just to taunt and tease me! I think I'll take the box over to my mom and dad's house....that way if I get tempted I have to get in my car and drive 4 miles to cheat!

It seems like everyone has had a few experiences with car accidents. I am still leary every time I get behind the wheel and am super cautious. I just don't trust any body out there. People take such chances and act as if they are all alone on the road and should be given the right to go where they want when they want and all around them should be able to read their minds!

I measured this morning and have had these results so far

bust: minus 1.25 inches
waist: minus 1.75 inches
hips: minus 1.25 inches
thigh: minus .50 inch
calf: minus .25 inch
upper arm: minus .25 inch
forearm: minus .25 inch

That is 5.5 inch loss in month one...only counting one arm and one leg, but I didn't measure the right side of my limbs....LOL

well, I have as usual a million and one things to do today...including tons of homework.

Hugz to all of you...Rita, KK and Diane!

Hi Girls...

I'm sorry this will be short...work is driving me out of my mind (what little I have left). So far no weight loss but I suppose that it will come off in time, I hope! I know I need to drink more water for sure. I did my walking yesterday and I did my crunches this morning so I hope that helps move things along. I will try to post more tomorrow and I feel bad I can't really post the way I want today but I have to get back to work. Big hugs to you all. I'll be back soon....

Hi ladies! I'm doing good today. I think my cravings have finally subsided since I've been cheat free for 3 days now. So, that makes me VERY happy! I'm back to doing my pilates everyday and my Richard Simmons tape. It's been kind of chilly to get out there and walk. (listen to me, chilly is 50's! LOL) I can almost hear Diane laughing at me from here! LOL

Arlene- Your rockin girl! I hear ya about always on the watch for the "other guy" on the road. We know we are good drivers it's "them" we have to worry about. Ever since I got rear ended by a semi truck on a highway in Florida, I'm always leary about anyone behind me! You are doing VERY well and achieving your goals! I'm proud of you! I agree, don't make specific dates for your goals, it will stress you out! Wow, going 9 hours without eating isn't good for you, for sure! I know it's hard to grab something when your busy, but you really need to! And drink that water girl! hehe I know what you mean about those LC ice cream bars! I made the mistake of buying some once and they do call your name from the freezer! LOL The idea of putting them in your Mom's freezer sounds like a good one! Take care and good luck with school! I don't think at my age that I could ever go back to school. I hated it when I HAD to go..why oh why would I go back? LOL But I commend people who do!

KK- Glad you came up for air girl! LOL Sounds like work is really crazy lately! Busy time of the year or what? Will it slow down soon? Good for you for doing your crunches and walking! Keep up the good work and good eating and you WILL see a loss soon! Hang in there ok! Post when you can and I will be thinkin of ya..my sister veggie hater! hehe

Diane- hope all is well with you! Is work crazy for you too? Just remember to take care of yourself! (you too KK ) Post when you can!

I've been putting all my foods into fitday.com lately and it is really helping me keep track of my calories and carbs. I still think I may not be eating enough. Yesterday I only ate 1300 calories and 20 carbs. Some people say that maybe I'm in a starvation mode. But I don't feel starved! So, who knows! Everyone tells me differently so all I can do is keep messing with the numbers until I do lose! I'll keep ya posted.

Hugs to you all, Rita

G'morning KK, Rita and Diane!!!

Well, I'm here to admit I waaay over ate yesterday, even with "planning" my food. I ended up changing most of what I had planned and ended up eating and eating and eating, so I have decided to make myself accountable to myself and everyone else by posting my food. If I embarrass myself often enough maybe I'll get the emotional eating under control.

I had a really good day yesterday, but the night before I found out my car is going to be totaled by the Insurance company and we'll probably only get $3,500 for replacement. I've had that car for 7 years and oddly, I felt depressed taking all of my belongings out. Driving away I felt as if I had just abandoned a puppy to the pound or something. It sounds silly, but I have become attatched to a peice of machinery.

I had so many great adventures with that car. I bought it just before my divorce, took many trips for the first time by myself (I was married at 19 and married for 19 years) Took my sons camping in that car, picked my wonderful DH up from the airport to meet for the first time, drove to the Smokey's to elope, shoe polished "Just Married" all over it's windows when DH and I got married, we drove in it to the Gulf for our honeymoon....LOL, I'm getting all choked up and teary eyed just writing it all down.

Anyway, now it is gone and we have to find a car to replace it with only the piddling amount we'll be given, considering I still haven't found a job that'll allow me to work M-W-F so I can continue to go to school on T-Th. We're hoping the $3,500 will be enough to fix DH's car. It has been sitting in the driveway since it broke down last year and we never had enough money to find out how much it'll cost to fix. His car is a sporty l'il number (a Mazda MX-6) that is not comfortable and has manual transmission, so it gets tiresome to drive for long periods.

Even with yesterday being a good day, I got all my school work done and was very organised, found out I am still on the deans list (my GPA is up a bit to 3.7) I managed to eat like a starved person.

BUT...I think I may have found the culprit that has been effecting my gastro-intestinal problems! I have been keeping a food journal to see what food may be causing all the diarrhea and pain! The one thing that has been in my diet this whole WOE is EGGS, which before I rarely ate. I didn't eat any yesterday and had no pain, no runs, no bloating, no headache and even slept well all night. I am hoping, if I get my eating under control, that this will prove to be the culprit that has kept my weight - loss so slow and made me feel so lousy.

This morning we have to call AAA and get his car towed to a shop, go to INS (Immigration and Naturalization) to see what his permanant residency status is (we had our initial interveiw over 2 years ago and haven't heard anything since), call the Ins Co. and find out what the exact amount is for replacement value on the car and take DH to the DR (his BP was up as well as his blood sugar levels 2 weeks ago and has a re-check today).

Hope all of you have a good day!
Oh, and here is yesterday's food fest frenzy.....(argh)

1 cup cottage cheese = 6 carbs
1/4 cup raspberries = 1.5 carbs

4 oz summer sausage = 4 carbs
2 oz cheddar cheese =.8 carbs

1/8 cup sunflower seeds = 3 carbs

TGIF!!!

Hello all! Well, I'm a very happy camper today! LOL I got on the scale and am down 5 lbs.!!! Yippeee! I'm very happy, and it makes me all that more determined to keep going! I am not doing induction, but keeping my calories low and my carbs to 20 grams or less. Guess it's workin!

Arlene- Don't worry about overeating on one day. If you get right back on track you will be OK. I definately think writing down everything you eat is a good idea. That is what I have been doing this week and it has really help me see what exactly goes in my mouth! I totally understand about being attached to cars! I am the same way. There are alot of memories that go with them. Trips, kids, etc. I have had many cars in my lifetime and a story to go with every one of them! LOL Sorry to hear that your not getting much for it though. I hope it does cover what it takes to fix your DH car! Good luck with school and your eating plan. You sound like a busy woman!

KK- How are you girlfriend? Long time no hear! Hope all is well. I miss hearing from ya!

Diane- has it warmed up there at all yet? I hope so for your sake. How are you doing? Staying on plan? Try not to work too hard ok?

Wishing everyone a great weekend! Remember..together we CAN DO this!!!! Nothing tastes as good as being thin and healthy feels!!! Hugs, Rita

Rita Yay Baby! Attagirl....and way to go. Congrats on your weightloss! I loved seeing your face and saying "Hi" to Rita, thanks for updating!

Oh to be feeling good again!

I am on day two of feeling good! Cutting out the eggs has made all the difference in the world. Two days of no pain, no diarreha, and no bloated, gassy feelings! I wonder how long I have been allergic to eggs? I never mentioned as well that I have had a rash on my neck and ears and backs of my hands since starting LC. It hasn't been a terrible rash, just small itchy bumps that can barely be seen but always felt. I knew I was allergic to something but couldn't figure it out as I have eaten eggs all of my life.

To make things even better, I dropped another lb and have reached my first goal of 20 lbs lost on this WOE.

I ate sensibly yesterday and made better food choices while still eating plenty and not feeling deprived. But to keep myself on track I will still post my food.

water
2 slices turkey = 0
1 oz cream cheese = 1.2
1 dill pickle = 2
1/2 cup cottage cheese = 2.8
1/8 cup raspberries = .8
water

8 oz lamb shank steak = 0
2 cups iceburg lettuce = 1.5
2 T caesar dressing = 1.6
4 black olives = .7
water

water

1/2 cup salad = .4
1/2 avacado = 4
1 T dressing = .8
8 oz sirloin = 0
6 boiled shrimp = 0
1 T steak sauce = 3.0
water

water

1/4 cup pumpkin seeds = 3
water

total 19 carbs

One thing about feeling better is my appetite was much greater the past two days. I am hoping it will balance out as my body re-adjusts to being without the toxins the eggs created and I will be satisfied with less food. For now I am just trying to stay within a 25 carb limit and watching to see where I need to improve.

Today DH and I are going car hunting. We looked at 2 yesterday, but I think they are out of range of our pocketbook right now.
Well, I need to go wake him up and get us going for the day. We still haven't heard how much it'll take to fix his car or how much we'll be getting for mine, so we need to find a replacement just in case the cost of fixing his is greater than what we'll get.

Hugz,
Arlene

Hi girls, looks like everyone is doing great! I am a bit frustrated, I keep bouncing up and down the same 3 lbs. I am still up 20 lbs over all...ugh! I asked My Dr. to treat me for the yeast overgrowth in my system again, so I am in hopes it will make all the difference. I didn't do it for the weight loss, I did it for the overall feeling of YUCK. I am tired all the time and just feel awful. It's been going on awhile, but I tried to excuse it away as other things. I am tired of health problems!! To top it off I had my stitches out Wed. from the Dr cutting out the internal stitches and the damn thing is still poking out! I didn't notice it until yesterday, I thought it was just scabbing over, but realized it's the stitch!! Can't wait to call him tomorrow and let him know I'm coming back. I would go to another Dr, but I don't want to pay a co-pay to another Dr. for this. In all fairness he did remove the little "knot" at the top of my incision (I think I caused that with my own surgery technics...lol) Well on that happy rant I should run. It is a bit warmer these days, 5 above today with a low of 15 below....56 days until spring God give me strength!

Great weekend!

Hi to all my great low carb friends!
Well, I'm feeling good and I am so proud of myself! We went out to Applebee's for dinner last night and I actually behaved myself and didn't feel deprived! I ordered chicken and steak fajitas, ate the meat and veggies and didn't touch the tortillas! This is an accomplishement for me! LOL We also went out shopping and ended up buying a jaccuzi! We won't get it until March, but it will be so nice to have. I love soaking in a hot tub with the jets pulsating my body! LOL (we decided to "treat" ourselves with the money we will be getting from Uncle Sam! LOL)

Arlene- Congrats on your 20 lb. mark! Wow, you are doing VERY WELL for just starting in December! My hat off to you girlfriend! hehe And thank you for being thrilled for my loss and for checking out my pic! It is fun putting a face to someone online isn't it? Did you find a car when you were out? Good luck to you!

Diane- Oh no, not another obstacle with your surgery! Boohooo! I bet you are soooo sick of it all! I wish you the best and hope your all back to normal soon! How do they fix a yeast overgrowth? Just curious to what that actually is. Brrr, still sounds awfully cold over there! Yes, SPRING is coming!!! And I'm sure NOT fast enough for you! LOL Hang in there girl!

KK- Hope your having a great weekend too! I miss ya girlfriend!! Hopefully work won't be so crazy next week and you will be able to post more! How is your low carbing going? Keeping on track?Talk to you soon!

Here is to another great week! Let us all stay on track, watch our carbs, drink LOTS of water, and exercise!!! WE CAN DO IT!!!!! I set my next two goals and rewards already. When I hit my first goal of a 15 lb. loss I am going to get a set of gel nails! I've always wanted nice fingernails! My second 15 lb. loss I am going to go to a tanning salon and buying a new bathing suit! I can't wait!

Hugs to you all! Rita

We have a new car!
We signed all the dotted lines today. It is a 2001 VW Passat...low mileage and all the bells and whistles. It drives so very nice. I had forgotten what a new/newer car was like...I'd become so attached to my old car (his name was Corny after Ukon Cornelius from the old Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer animated X-Mas show) DH and I named this one Herbie...after my grand-dad who was a german.

I have remained at 272 so I'm officially claiming it now! Had a much better low carb day than yesterday. I've eaten 12.4 carbs for the day but still have 30 oz of water to drink. Being rid of the problem the eggs created has me in a much better frame of mind as well. Nothing like feeling sick all the time to drag you down.

I'm having the in-grown toe nail removed Thursday afternoon, so after it heals I won't have any more excuses not to start walking, plus the weather should be a bit warmer as well. Now I'll just need someone to push me out the door 4 times a week.

My food for today is....

3 oz beef summer sausage = 2 carbs
2 oz cheddar cheese = .8 carbs
water
herbal tea with 1 tsp cream = 1.0 carbs

1 dill pickle = 2 carbs'
1 T cream cheese = .4 carbs
water

water

roast beef with 1/4 cup onion = 2.2 carbs
mixed veggies with butter = 3.5 carbs
soy sauce = .5 carbs

All that remains is for me to not snack on anything tonight! I have some sunflower seeds if the urge gets too bad. I'd just like to try doing induction again now that I found that food allergy and see if I can drop some fast lbs. I need a bit of variety in my diet...so two weeks of induction is long enough for me.

Diane LOL I am a picker myself and would probably have all my stitches out if the Dr didn't remove them in a timely manner. Luckily my only surgery so far has been having my gall bladder removed (after one of my starvation diets on WW I might add) and they did that labriscopically (sp??) so I only had two stitches in two different places. I hope your Doc can get the yeast thingie taken care of...yeast can be awful...I don't know where the yeast is you are talking about but I've had bouts of it and it is no fun.

Rita Wow....a jacuzzi...I love them...DH and I want one. We used to sneak over to the apt complex near us and use theirs til they upped their security.....it was lot's of fun...*wink wink* Especially in winter it would be so nice to be able to have a hot soak when the weather gets you so cold you just can't warm up!

Well girls...have a good night...all of us be strong...we can do this...I really want to be 40 lbs lighter by May 17th and 60 by August 21st which is my B-day. But if it goes slower, I'll not give up...weighing less and felling better is my goal and that'll only be acheived with life-long changes.

Arlene, the yeast is all through my system, yet I've NEVER had a yeast infection, weird huh?
It is sooooooooooooooooooo cold here again, 45 below with the wind chill. I can't stand being so cold. I'd take snow any day over this (Is this really me saying this???)
I am heading back to the Drs Thursday afternoon for the stitch....I will not pick at it, I will not pick at it.....lol The nurse said it will disolve, but it gets so sore around it, so she said it's best to go back again.
My scale was down 1/2 lb this morning...please do a weight loss dance for me today, maybe it will keep going.
Arlene, what color is your new car?? Sounds nice! I bought a 2001 last April. I just couldn't see spending alot of money to drive 2-3 miles to work each day.
Rita, I'll be bringing my bathing suit to your house!! OMG I want a hot tub so I can get the chill out of my bones!! My friend has one and we have gone in a few times....we really liked it.
KK, where are ya?? I hope work is slowing down. Did you ever have any luck contacting Tami's DH?? Do you have his email? Was it different than Tami's? My dream is to meet up with you the next time we go to Orlando. DH would like to do it next year, but I'm not sure I could pass up seeing my daughter and her babies.....I only get to see them once a year.
Well I'd better finish lunch and get back to work. Have a great day!!

Happy Monday!

Good afternoon! Well, the sun is shining, the scale is going down and I'm in a good mood! My cravings for sweets and bad carbs have totally gone away so I know I am in Ketosis! Yippeee! For a change I can see my goal and know that I can get to it!!!

Arlene- Congrats on the new car! We have two 2001 cars. I agree with Diane. I can't see buying a brand new car...if you keep it tuned up and in good working order...used cars can last a long time! So why waste hard earned money on a brand new car! You're doing great at writing down all the food you eat and your keeping your carbs low. That is terrific! I'm proud of you! And, if you don't make your final goal by the time you have planned, you are right, don't give up...this is not a diet..but a way of life.

Diane-I hope the doc can help you with the yeast. I've never heard of that before..that it can be all over your body...but not have a yeast infection..how do they test for that and how do they get rid of it? I wish you the best. Yes, you can bring your swimsuit and go in our new hot tub! LOL You need something to warm you up!!! WOW, -45? Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr That would be cool if you could meet KK in person. I'd love to meet you all in person someday...wouldn't that be fun? I am doing the "whoosh" fairy dance as I type for ya! LOL You will see one soon I'm sure!

Oh, KK sent me an email and said to tell you that she will post as soon as she can..work has been crazy again..I told her we missed her and to hurry back! Hear that KK? hehehe

Here is to a great low carb day! Hugs, Rita

Hey girls!
It sounds like everyone is in high spirits today. I kept my carbs pretty low yesterday but it was a tough day for me food wise. I kept craving and craving high carbs for some reason. Today my carbs have been at 11.2 and I didn't succumb to a major temptation. I went to a Microsoft MSDN event and the only food they had was GIANT Mrs Fields cookies and cokes and sprites and coffee. I had a bottle of water in my purse, but I didn't have time to eat lunch, so watching everyone around me munching those cookies just made my stomach rumble!!! Luckily I drank enough water to keep the volume down....LOL
When I got home I munched on some cold raost beef and then cooked DH and I a steak and I had a ceasar salad and let poor DH load his baked potato all by his lonsome.

KK I'm so glad you let us know you are ok. Life sometimes keeps us from leisure time, but as long as we know you're all right, we'll be here waitin' for ya.

Diane *doing a pretty quick tie of your hands behind your back* There, that should hold and I tied ya up with a nice ribbon to match your blouse!! LOL I''d have to be tied up to keep my fingers from picking. I hope the Doc got it taken care of for you so it'll stop tormenting you so much. Herbie is silver, a pale silver that looks peachy silver in different angles. It's running wonderfully still and we are glad we chose it.

Rita The sun broke out here today too, but after the wet weather left, the temps dropped into the 20's and didn't rise above 32 all day. DH and I were so disappointed to wake up and see no snow or even any snow flurries. Ah well....maybe next year.

Well, I'm sooo sleepy. I think I'm going to go read a book and drift off to sleep. I'm reading a real sloppy historical romance with no thinking involved. I'll leave the thinking reading to my text books for now.

Good night Ladies....

Hi Ladies.....

Yeah, I am finally able to post!!! I sure have miss you guys. Well, I have been doing ok but not cheat free I'm afraid . I haven't been going over board but I am definately eating more carbs than I should especially since I haven't done any exercising . Looks like I better get my act together . I haven't lost anything but...I haven't gained either so I reckon it's back to induction yet again . I am currently eating a lowcarb wrap from subway...pretty darn good too! My biggest problem right now is I don't have the foods I need due to NO money! So, when I get paid next Friday I will be out stocking up on the right stuff! I figure if I just keep my carbs down to 20 and no more than 30 I will still lose, maybe not as fast but it will happen.

Rita - How's my sister veggie hater? Congrats on your loss! I hope to be joining you soon. What do you eat for meals if you don't mind my asking? I hope you are staying warm and happy.

Diane - Boy girlfriend, you sure are having a time of it aren't you?! I hope you get to feeling normal soon and especially WARM! I couldn't handle the cold like that, not with my arthritic knees. I would love it if we were able to see each other when you come to Fl. You have my number, just give me a call and maybe we can meet up somewhere. That would be so cool! As for Tami's hubby...I haven't had the chance to send him a letter but I will try over the weekend for sure. I hope he can tell us something. I sent an e-mail to her address and it was returned so I don't know what is up.

Arlene - I am so glad you have decided to stay with our little group. We may be small but there is a lot of love shared here!! Work is finally starting to slow down a little so I can breathe. It must be the year for new cars...I just bought me a 93' Nissan Maxima from my honey, it was his son's so he got it fixed up and now I own it. I had somebody work done, painted and now it's like driving a new car. This will last me until I have the money to buy a brand new one of my choice. I have always had a used car so I feel like at some point in my life I should have at least 1 that is brand new.

Well, ladies, I will try and be more consistant about getting to the boards, meanwhile know that you are all thought of often. I wish you all a great day.

WELCOME BACK KK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HI all! First of all I want to welcome KK back to the boards! I know we have all missed your posts!!!! I hope work stays somewhat calm so you will be able to post often!
All is good with me. I met someone from Las Vegas here in the chat room and today we met for breakfast! We had a blast talking about Atkins and how we are proud of ourselves for sticking with it, and for feeling healthy! We even went to a low carb cafe here and got a low carb shake and did some low carb shopping!

KK- I know once you get paid and get more low carb foods back into your kitchen that you CAN get back on track and see the scale go down again! I have faith in you my sister veggie hater! LOL I am learning to like more veggies! I tried bok choy last night in a chicken stir fry that I made and I loved it! You asked what I typically ate. For brkfst, I usually have 2 eggs, either fried or in an omelet, 2 bacon or sausage and decaf coffee. For lunch, I'll have 4 oz of meat, either steak or chicken and a salad w/ cheese and bacon bits with either mayo or ranch dressing. And, basically the same thing for dinner. I do add other veggies like green beans when I get sick of lettuce. I hope that helps!

Diane- hope your doing well and that the doctor has been able to help you! Is it warming up there yet? I sure hope so, for your sake!

Arlene- sounds like your doing great! Keep up the good work!

Wishing all my low carb friends a great day! Hugs, Rita
