Need a moderate-carb pal

Hi all,

I'm looking for someone to correspond with who is doing a moderate carb plan.. Sugarbusters, Zone, Somersize, Schwarzbein Principal or even Atkins maintenance.

I'm no stranger to low carb, I've done Atkins a few years ago (and a short stint earlier this year) and lost quite a bit, but put it all back on plus some. I started Sugarbusters today, and am doing good so far.

Here's a little about me: I'm 32 years old, 5'4", single mom, 255 pounds and type 2 diabetic. I don't have a specific weight goal in mind .. just whatever shrinks my size 24 to a 10.

I'd love to share support, menu's, weigh-in's, etc. with someone who is not doing an ultra-low carb plan. If you're interested, please PM me.

Hi, I switched over to Sugar Busters today, also. I loved Atkins, but lately I've been having a very hard time staying on course with it. I go a couple days doing fine, and then I fall off. I don't know what my problem is, but I believe that it's not really healthy to go back and forth like that. I am not going back to sugar or white flour or any of the other Atkins no nos, but I will be adding in more fruit and some of the other lower glycemic starches such as whole grains and beans. I'd be happy to buddy up with you. There aren't a lot of people doing Sugar Busters.

Hi my name is Angie. I am doing a modified version of Atkins. I keep my carbs between 50-100g depending on my mood that day. I take a one-a-day weight smart vitamin and 2 Viactivs along with my diet. I am 38 years old. I've been married 23 years, have 2 grown kids, 3 dogs, 2 cats, a horse and a goat! I've had a weight problem for 15 years. I go on a diet and lose weight just to go back to old habits and gain it all back again. I had a hysterectomy 3 years ago and it seems like it is so much harder to lose weight now. I have now decided to make lifestyle changes. I bought a tredmill and walk 3 times a week. I want to move up to 6 days a week but am so out of shape it is hard right now. I just started this on 1-1-04. I am 5'3' and weigh 220 lbs. My goal weight is 150 lbs. I would love to be your pen pal and help encourage you and in the process maybe inspire myself.
