Searching for a Pen Pal to lose 100+ lbs

Hello everyone.

I'm brand new here, in fact this is my first post. This is the first time that I've been on a diet that I am actually trying to get help. I started Atkins yesterday, and so far, other than a few headaches, have been okay. My husband is so happy that I was even able to get it a day. I'd like to be able to lose quite a bit of weight in 1 year. I am currently 350 lbs (I hate admitting this) and I really need someone who might be in the same range who I can chat with and keep tabs on exercising and such with. I know there aren't many people out there who need to lose quite as much weight as I do. However, I feel like I am not alone. My goal is to be at least 60 lbs thinner by this September so I can take my husband to Six Flags.

Anyway, if you are interested in being an email pal with me, please let me know via email at friday@oooers.com or on here...I appreciate any and all help!

Good for you!

Welcome to the wonderful world of LC. You will do just great! Stay focused and determined and you will be able to do this. Each day gets easier as you work your way through Induction. One thing I found that really helps through the first 2 weeks, is water. Drink lots of it. Your body is going through many changes and water cleanses. Very important. Plot out your exercise rountine and make the time to do it. Also very important. Even if its a 15 minute walk to start. After you become accustomed to eating LC, it will become very natural for you just as our poor eating habits prior to embarking on this lifelong journey! There is so much support, passion and inspiration on this site. Enjoy and read the posts. They sure helped me. I swayed off track through the Fall and Holidays and managed to put 8lbs back on but I am back on track and feeling fantastic. No more sugar cravings. Energy level is back. Sluggish feeling through the day is gone. Mind is sharper. I started on 12/30/02 and when June came around, I was 43lbs lighter. Pushing a size 18 down to a 6-8. 8's are alittle tight at the moment but I have re-inducted so I will be back down in no time. I want to be at my goal of 130 when my son leaves for the Navy on 4/13/04. Now that's a goal!

Take care. Feel free to email me. SEA@Beld.net

That is so great!

Congrats on your weight loss! I'm extremely excited for you! Wooohoooooooooo.

I'm about 5 minutes away from doing my first aerobics workout...woot...i'm really excited.

As far as the energy goes, is that why i've not been able to sleep lately? My head has been on overhaul for days now. I'm just so full of thoughts of things to do. It's amazing. i haven't felt this much energy in a long time!
