Hi!
Welcome aboard! You are on your way now! One day at a time and 1 pound at a time. I started Atkins on 12/30/02. By June, I had lost 43lbs. New outlook on life. never felt better in my life. Eating good. Exercising. Lots of water! Got a little lax through the Fall and put 8lbs back on. Brakes went on after the first of the year. I am back in Induction and have lost 3lbs in 6 days. Energy level is back. Mind is clear! I feel fantastic! There is so much support on this site. Use it to your advantage. We are all in this together! Keep us posted!

You can do it!
I think you are doing great getting started again. I just started Atkins on the 8th January and also am 235 want to be 145
I'm looking for a penpal to help through this time and support eachother. My family isn't supportive really so this would be great. So far 9 pounds or so gone and I have started some exercise routines. Everyone on here seems to offer great support and a wealth of information. Good Luck ~Janine |

Evening Everyone!
Glad to see the thread growing. The support I find is so important. Until you are overweight, and indulge in this lifestyle, no one can understand. I found sabatoge in the beginning very hard. My family, 100% support! My husband insisted on eating only what I ate. He isn't overweight and wasn't. After 6 weeks, he had lost 17lbs. He actually got too thin so I had to start making him meals with more pesto! He still enjoys the meals I make and now makes better food choices although he does have his stash of sweets hidden away!
At work, omg another story. Co-workers constantly put down this WOL until Spring rolled around and I was 43lbs lighter and a size 6. I was constantly approached with the typical office sweets. "Come on Susan, one won't hurt"! My response, "I no longer consume those types of foods so please do not offer it to me again"!. Then my silent thought, ya, let that piece of cake or sweets slide down your gizzard and in an hour, let me know how you are feeling! My revenge? Maybe, but honestly if you observe it you wouldn't believe it. Once per month I get a birthday cake for the office. No desire whatsoever to have any. Well, within about 30 minutes of them all wiping out this huge ooey gooey lump of sugar, the office falls silent as they all struggle to combat the sugar they just overloaded their systems with. Quite interesting. A year later they all know to keep the comments and sweets to themselves. So stay focused and true ladies! 1 day and 1 pound at a time! We are all in this for the long haul! Till tomorrow.......................................... .. |

How's things going?
Hey everyone. So far, so good for me. I have lost 12 pounds. Wouldn't it be nice to keep losing at this pace throughout? Feeling good and starting to exercise a little. Weekends are tough. Really hard to say no to people when they offer. Partly because I want it and partly because I don't want to offend anyone. Nephews birthday coming up this weekend. Any ideas when they break out the cake and ice cream? Thanks for the help and support. Everyone here is GREAT!

You are doing fantastic!
Keep up the great work! Have you moved onto OWL? If so, at your local healthfood store, you can buy Atkins Chocolate Muffin Mix. Bake it in a loaf pan. Get some Atkins LC Vinalla Ice Cream and you are good go! Taste great. New flavor, Butter Pecan. Simply fantastic! You cannot tell the difference between it and the real thing!
Keep us posted! You are doing great! |
