looking for penpals for support
Hi
First time for using bulletin boards, so bear with me. My husband and I started Atkins back in September 2003. I've lost 40 and he has lost 50. Things have been pretty slow lately and I think I figured it out. We were eating the endulge bars and drinking diet coke. I have cut down on the pop to one a day, and gave up the endulge bars. Hope this makes a difference. What about low carb bread? Can you have this on induction? One slice is 5 grms. My husband walks to work every day so he is getting his excercise, but I don't get much. The dumb thing is we have a pool in our apartment building, but just can't seem to get myself to go down there. I have knee problems, so I'm limited to what I can do, so I know the pool would be better. I live in Alberta, Canada and we have just started to get in a lot of Atkins products, but I'm never sure what we can or cannot have. We are both very determined to lose weight and stick to this. My hubby has high blood pressure and since doing Atkins, it has gone way down. My biggest problem is exercise. Any ideas on what I can do. judyfm ![]()

Hi Judyfm,
I am also new to the message boards... I've gotten alot of help. My husband and I started atkins on 1/1/04, so your way past us. My husband also has high blood pressure so it nice to hear that Low Carbing will help him out with that. If I remember the book right you can have any breads or pastas or sugar in the induction phase. I could be wrong... but don't think so... Keep up the good work and hopefully you'll post again soon..Sorry forgot to tell you that I do exercise tapes... "walking away the pounds"... The instructor has a nice up lifting spirit about her. I really like them.. With your knee problems you may want to read the boxes and see if there isn't some kind of stretching exercise you can do or look on the exercise board for tips. Keep up the good work and work it one day at a time..
